This hotel is steps away from the Fuzhong MRT station. While this is a little older of a hotel, the staff was nice and always greeted you. I think this well suited for solo travelers as well as business travelers.

I like the front desk service. They helped us in check-in and especially to keep our luggage after check-out.
The only thing was the room a little cool. I guessed this was due to the climate change in fall.
The location is quite good - almost mid-way between downtown and Taoyuan Airport. The Fuzhong MRT station is only 1or 2 minutes walking and about 30 minutes to 1 hour to anywhere in Taipei.

It’s a shame that the hotel doesn’t provide breakfast anymore. Laundry facility and microwave on the 9th floor are a good touch. Property can definitely use some upgrades. If a clock with radio/alarm/ USB charging station by bedside table will make my stay more enjoyable.

The hotel is a bit old and you can find some dirt on the stuff. However, the staff was very nice and professional. They answered all my request and executed on time. They not just helped us book a taxi to airport, they remembered we have a cake stored in the freezer and retrieved to us without asking. When they saw only half of people showed up at the front desk, they proactively called our friends upstairs to remind them. I will definitely give a 100 to the staff management!

Small but nice hotel close to MRT and HSR station

Nice hotel in walkable distance from Banciao HSR station and close to Fuzhong MRT station.

Even though hotel is small, well maintained and easy access to public transportation. Also, you can find taxi all the time just next to the hotel.

Very nominally priced and good service compared to similar hotels.

Limited menu for breakfast but ok level. Rooms are clean and with required amenities for a business traveller.

Small hotel right next to MTR, great noodle place downstairs. Only thing I didn't like was the smell of smoke in the hallways, supposedly non smoking room, but the heavy smoke in the hallway filtered into the room. It became very uncomfortable since I have lung issues.

I booked for nonsmoking room, but when I checked in around 10 pm,I was given the smoking room. Even the hallway in front of the room has smoking odor. The smoking smell is very strong in the room and made me very difficult to breath. I went down to the receptionist to complain. They gave me the air cleaner right away and it helped a bit.
For the second night, they moved me to different room and it was okay.
The third night when I checked in again, they also gave me the same smoking room as the first night. I have to explain over and over again to the hotel receptionist that barely understand English in order to be given the NON SMOKING ROOM.
Despite of that, the hotel location is near MRT station, the room is clean and the receptionist is friendly even though I have difficulty in communicating with them.

The hotel is located right next the Fuzhong MRT station with many F&B outlets and convenience shops around. There is escalator at Exit 2 of Fuzhong MRT when you exit here to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is really a pleasant experience stay here.

Was very disappointed. The hotel is old and run down. They claimed it is a smoke free hotel however I had to ask for air purifier after check in because the entire corridor and room smelled like cigarette. The air purifier assisted with the smell at minimal level while most of the smell must be coming through the aircon. Not a good choice if u have allergies or simply cannot stand second hand smoke !

This was my second stay at MRT Hotel. First time was really great so I decided to return.
Got the cheapest room, which was smaller than the tier above. Upon checking into room 606, we noticed it was not cleaned properly. Hair was left in the toilet and even in the fridge.
We also had trouble connecting to the free wifi, so the reception gave us a repeater to boost the wifi signal. However, the LAN port was broken. It was slightly upsetting as the room was not well maintained, but we were gladly given a room change after we highlighted the issue.
Friendly staff, a lot of shopping and food in the area and a very short walk to the mrt station. Highly recommend.

A hotel near the Fuzhong Metro Station

Hotel is located very very near to the Fuzhong MRT. How near you asked? Well, the entrance of Fuzhong MRT is just right behind the hotel for about 2 minutes walk. Exit 1 in Fuzhong MRT to Fuzhong Road to access to this hotel quickly.
(Tips: Take about 10 minutes walks to the nearby local night market 湳雅夜市, which mostly visited by locals and the prices are cheaper compared to other tourists night market in Taipei. This night market offers some tasty local food and also smelly tofu 臭豆腐, a very good experience for those who never tried before).

Hotel offers local network connection and also wireless with decent speed. Internet speeds are just as good as everywhere in Taipei, Taiwan.

I stayed in Deluxe Double Room alone and the space are just adequate enough for two persons or couple with a kid. Hotel offers free tea, some snacks, mineral waters and isotonic drinks in the fridge.

Room is quite hygienic except the aging floor mats might be a little bit dusty. Well, I wear the new sandals prepared by hotel in the room anyway.

Toiletries are very well prepared including toothbrush and toothpaste, towels, hand soap, and hairdryers. The bathroom also equipped with body and hair shampoo separately.

Staffs are very friendly and they will standup and greet you whenever they see you in the lobby area.

Breakfast buffet consists of rice, soup and some dishes. Alternatively, you may opt for the noodles, hotdogs and hams, eggs and also vegetables. There is a coffee machine, soybean drin

Good, cheap hotel

I stayed at this hotel for business, in preference to another more expensive hotel nearby as I wished to save money and overall this was fine. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the room was comfortable and clean. The only issue I had was that the free breakfast buffet was more orientated towards a non western guest. There was little there that I ate so I only went once. In fairness there did not seem to be many non western guests so perhaps I cannot complain but if there had been a wider choice on the breakfast buffet this was have been good.

MRT Hotel..dont expect much

We stay on & off 4-5 days in different weeks, every time we arrived the room is not ready,on our most recent stay, they told us the check in hour is 5PM ! Go figure,we were never notified on the confirmation. Our flight next day is at 4:30AM, imagine how annoyed this is not able rest early. The room is fairly sized, limited toiletry ,old shredded towel..our room smell like smoke even is \"non-smoking\" room, With the price point, I could have stay in Taipei Station area that gives me far more option(we had to due to relative live near by) The day we tried the breakfast..coffee machine was down, juice machine was empty, literally no food left except toast & white rice...not to mention choices was so limited to begin with ....no...I wont come back...too many choices else where...

Its location is excellent. 3 minute walking from the MRT station, 12 minutes from the High Speed Railroad and Taiwan Railroad station. You can travel anywhere in Taiwan easily. You walk across the main road, there is a busy shopping sphere. The famous Lin's Garden, the local night market are also in walking distance. However, the hotel is quiet at night and good for rest. The room size is OK, not small. Its provided breakfast has many varieties, mainly the Chinese style, but with western salad, sausages, hams and toasts. You should be able to get what you want. Its WiFi speed is fast. One bad thing is their carpet is old, and dirty spots are easily seen. I will come back to stay here again.

Most reviews i read for the hotel rated it quite high, especially for the price. Most high marks comments about the location, which was perfect. It wasn't a bad cab ride from Taoyuan airport, the neighborhood was nice with plenty of food options, and it was super close to both the MRT and HSR stations. Despite the room being small (typical for a major city) it had everything I needed. However the carpet was gnarly and was in dire need of replacement. I would have rated it 4 or maybe even 5 stars except for the carpet.

We were on the 8th floor facing the street, but you don't hear anything when the windows are closed. You have the option to open the windows for fresh air if needed. We had 2 single beds, and they were very comfortable, not hard like most beds in Asia. The down comforter was very soft. The AC was running really well and kept us cool, since it was very hot and humid outside. The wifi was unstable, so the front desk gave us a wire to connect to our computer, and no problems after that. Internet was fast, and I had no problems connecting the wifi to my smart phone. Water pressure was the best in the bathroom shower, plenty of hot water. The only negative is the water always seem to get out to the bathroom floor, be extremely careful when you get out cause it's slippery. Free breakfast on the 9th floor was adequate, although not fancy by any means. Front desk was very pleasant, friendly by Asia standards. Front desk helped me reserved a taxi the very last day.

Great location next to Fuzhong Station

Stayed here for business for a week. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. I asked for a non-smoking room but occasionally I could smell someone smoking on the floor since the ventilation is shared throughout the building. Breakfast is Asian style with congee, greens and other assorted non-western fixings. It is ok if you are hungry but if you are craving an omelet, this is not your place. Thankfully, you are about 50 steps to the Fuzhong transit station and there are a ton of food options locally. The night market is nearby as are many good restaurants. For the location, amenities and price, this is one of the best places in the Banqiao district. The staff was very courteous and overall, my stay was enjoyable. I only wish they offered a gym!

This is my third trip to Taipei in the past ten months and this hotel is super nice for the price and within a one minute walk to the MRT. There is also a night market nearby and all the normal shopping stuff you need. Taipei is an easy city to navigate by Asian standards and you will have no issues with this hotel. Have someone translate the overly complicated air conditioning control..wow!...otherwise, have a nice stay. Taxi from airport around 1000 taiwan dollars..40 minutes

We had two queen-sized beds though we needed only one. Breakfast was okay, not five stars. The MRT Hotel is a good choice if you don't know anything about the transportation system. It is just outside the Fuzhong MRT station; you don't even need to cross any road from the hotel to the MRT station. (no exaggeration) I bought a three-day MRT+bus pass for NT440, which was handy. If you go to the next MRT station (Banqiao), you will see the following in one huge plaza: high-speed train station, regular-speed train station, and a big shopping center. Just outside the MRT hotel is Bank of Taiwan, which was the only place we could find that was willing to exchange Canadian dollars. All other banks accept only currencies from US, Japan, HK, China. Therefore change your money at the airport, or at Bank of Taiwan, if you have other currencies.

Good in every way except noisy rooms

The hotel is just 1 minute walk from the FuZhong MRT station, and one MRT station from BanQiao station, where the long distance trains run. But the area itself is far from the city centre (like 30 minutes commute time at least). The staff were friendly and polite. They showed us the way to a night market which is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We stayed 4 nights, which for 3 nights we were woken up by some noisy women chatting loudly next door, the traffic noise outside, as well as some machine noise within the room. Seems the noise isolation of the room is pretty bad. Breakfast was just fair. Wifi was not working sometimes.

very very close to the mrt station

thanks to the distance to the mrt, for this trip we did not take a taxi once. to and fro airport has this bus, number 1962, walking distance from the hotel, only 135 twd per pax. location is really good. but for some reasons, i stayed in room 202, the water has baygon smell.. and usually there is a layer of oil if we leave the water alone. water comes directly from the tap but its really weird... overall, its a good stay, staffs are extremely nice. they stand up to greet us EVERY SINGLE TIME. 5 stars service.

Honestly, I can't say enough about this little place. Perfect location. Very close to train station which is a big plus. The train station is also great when considering site seeing places. The breakfast was good- there is a starbucks around the corner that was more appealing to my coffee habit! Lots of stores open late near by. I loved the decor... very trendy. Also there is a temple nearby and night markets that are great for exploring!

Good location,1min walk to Fuzhong MRT stn. 20mins to Taipei mrt stn & about an hour to Danshui mrt stn.
lotsa eateries nearby & convenience megastore Carrefour is about 8mins walk.Breakfast was ok.
Only bad thing we experienced is the smell of the wardrobe in our room & dust can be seen on some of the tables....so housekeeping can be further improved upon.Room is spacious & wifi connection for us was pretty ok.
