Hotel is clean, room amenities are excellent, bed sheets and pillows sparkling white. I did request a microwave in our room to heat up our food and I was surprised that there’s no charge for it. Beautiful views, in a quaint town. We went in April though so some of the shops are still closed. We will definitely come back.

Very nice large room. Well kept and clean. Food/Bar very nice. No complaints. I can't believe I would say this, but it seems even over-done! There are separate light switches for each light in the bathroom. 5 of them. Shower, toilet area, over mirror, beside mirror, ceiling! Two for the entry: one right inside the entry and another 4 feet away, both mounted on the ceiling. OK, I can get over that. Excellent. Best hotel I've stayed at in years.

We missed dinner and ended up eating pretty late… The sandwiches were great!, but way too much for me to try and eat all of.. Only thing that left me shocked…, was how crazy that there’s a bar restaurant within the hotel and we couldn’t get any soft drinks with out food.

A disappointing experience. For my one night stay at this "luxury destination property", I was given a handicap accessible room with a toilet that mostly wouldn't flush. At checkout, I asked the clerk if all the rooms at the hotel were accessible. She replied "No. But when our bookings fill up, we have to use the accesible rooms." It was off season and the hotel was practically deserted. I came away thinking they didn't much care for guests taking advantage of their low season rates and that they went out of their way to provide me with inferior accommodations.

Staff were very nice. I thoight when i booked i was supposed to have a whirlpool tub I ended up with a shower only. I would not have went with that room if i had known it was only a shower. My son only takes baths. The room was a bit dirty looked like someone had ate fried chicken and the floor wasnt swept well after.

The problems began the minute we checked in here and I should have known to stay elsewhere. Immediately I was being told my card had declined. The card was declining because they were trying to bill over the authorized amount of my stay that I booked online. I’ve now been billed 3 times on two different cards for my stay that the second night of we had no working HVAC system in the room. The third night and morning we had no cold water only scalding hot water from the shower, bathroom sink, and even the toilet, clearly a safety hazard. Management has now tried to refund the charges to the card that should be billed and refuses to refund the double charge from my bank account that was done by their incompetent night staff and supposedly corrected by the day manager. This isn’t a 5 star hotel it’s a money grab sham and I’d avoid it at all costs!

On the negative...Not sure if it is a seasonal thing, but the amenities could stay open a little later. A premium price should mean premium service(s), not just because you are the only show in town. To be fair, our waitress at breakfast was delightful.

We had continuous issues with being charged the incorrect amount and it took three different people to fix it over the course of days. In the meantime we were told not to worry about it and that it would be fixed, and it continuously wasn’t. We had ants in our room and reported it and nothing was done about it other than to put some bait, and the room was very dusty. I’m not one to notice a little dust but there were visible layers of it on the lamps and surfaces and when my phone fell on the floor and I picked it up there was dust all over it. It was definitely not worth the price and I recommended avoiding.

We had a great stay. The hotel is beautiful & the staff was very friendly & welcoming. The property is amazing. Very picturesque with the location being right on the St Lawrence. The gas fire pit is so nice & the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are very nice, clean & modern. The only recommendation I would make is to improve the bed pillows. We had a king room & the pillows were small even smaller than a standard size pillow. They were down pillows & no support at all. Although there were 4 pillows on the bed & we doubled them it was still not comfortable. A king bed should have king size pillows. Next time I’d bring my own!! Better pillows please!!

We booked a River view, we got a parking lot view. The toilet leaked at the base creating a puddle and unsafe conditions. The room was very dusty. When I spoke to the front desk they just literally laughed it off. Very unhappy with location of the room. Attended a wedding there and the food was terrible

We had an amazing stay. The only issue we had was that we were told we didnt need reservations for dinner then when we went to dinner, we could not be seated because we didnt have a reservation. Apparently, there was a staffing issue and they could not accommodate anyone else beside the reservations they had already. The dining room was empty and the outside patio was not even close to being full. This was a very big disappointment as I was looking forward to having a nice dinner here. We went to O'Briens to eat. This place is a restaurant/bar. We enjoyed our dinner, but it was not the type of dinner we wanted. We stayed two nights and only had one night to eat dinner at this hotel. I highly recommend the hotel. We ate breakfast here and the waitress confirmed the hotel's issue with staffing and call outs.

The first night we were there we tried to call room service (hotel info indicated it was available 24 hours a day). I called 3 times and it kept going to voicemail. I finally called guest services and she reiterated that room service was available 24 hours a day… then said except between services. ?? Huh? We tried numerous times during our 3 day stay and never had anyone answer the phone. We ate 3 times in the dining room and breakfast was fine but the one dinner we had was awful. The food was salty with mushy vegetables. I can’t recommend dinner at the hotel. We ate elsewhere the other nights. The hotel is understaffed. The people who are there are dedicated but very few wait staff and those available were on a full run most of the time.

The carpet/area rugs in our suite (admiral suite) were filthy. Half of the lamp outlets didn’t work properly. Spider webs on the balconies and in outdoor areas seem to be an ongoing problem.

It's located on the Saint Lawrence with great views and immediate access to the riverfront walk and downtown Clayton. We would stay here again.
