Room was clean , internet worked well , tv channels good .. breakfast was just ok but breakfast room very dirty .. obviously had not been cleaned in awhile, fresh apples and oranges old and weathered not edible, garbage can swing lid disgustingly dirty , Fruit juice machine not working,
4 people having breakfast and only 10 soft boiled eggs .. we consumed them and no staff present checking on food and replenishing .

We spent 1 night and wish we could of stayed more. The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpfully. Really enjoyed our night there and the jet tub was a bonus and relaxing! We will 100% be coming back to stay the more then 1 night. . The lobby was clean and smelt amazing. Wish i could give this more then 5 stars!!

At 9h45 at night the power randomly went out completely in the room we were staying in, I went to the front and the guys checked the breaker and all but he couldn't figure out what the issue was, so he then told us to change rooms, the staff was kind and offered to help with our stuff, so we had to pack everything up in the dark and move rooms abit pass 10p.m, once in the new room we noticed the heat from the fire place was non functional and the jaccuzy was all roughed up at the bottom and the power flickered on and off 3 or 4 times. But it was late and I didn't want to go tell the staff again so I left it be, no one even checked on us afterwards nothing to see if everything was okay. At check out I was expecting the staff to ask us about the room they changed us in but he didn't even bother asking nothing, they didn't offer a discount or some kind of refund or even a free evening for the inconvenience or anything of that sort. At check out their was also a difficulty with the debit machine and they couldn't refund me my deposit of 250$ on my card so he had to give me cash. I don't want to write a bad review cause their was some nice things during our stay like the breakfast room was very nice and breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from and the service was nice to, but at the end I did expect some kind of compensation or something for what happened at the very least.

We arrived on Valentine's day at around 2pm. I had paid the extra to get early checkin. Gentleman was very couteous. One thing I noticed, was the snow shovelling was sub par. They barely made a strip wide enough for a person to walk through. Upon leaving the front desk, we had to go down an enclosed hallway to get to our room. There was a definite 'smell' which was like a pool room odor, altho their inside pool was under renovations and has been for quite a while.The room itself was nice. The smell in the hallway did not penetrate the room. We had the queen bed, with jacuzzi tub. The floors in the room had wide spaces in between the planks! Obviously poorly workmanship! I found everything clean(floors, bathroom, jacuzzi tub), but the place definitely needed some upgrades! It was nice to have a door to the direct outside, to what i am assuming is a courtyard. Couldnt tell as there was a lot of snow. We choose to use the outside walkway to get to the breakfast room, instead of walking all the way around the building. But again, the walkways are barely wide enough to walk. The breakfast room was big and clean and coffee was fresh. Thats about all the good news! There was only hard boiled eggs, which were hot one day, and cold the next( probably leftovers) sausages were terrible! Needless to say, the 'free' breakfast was not impressive! But back to room. I am submitting pictures to show the areas which definitely need addressing! We did enjoy our stay!

We arrived at the front door at 10:30pm. The door was locked. They claimed there was a button to push. It was not apparent. We were abandoned in the middle of a a cold winter's night. I asked them if they were planning to not charge us, and have not received an answer.

The only thing I can say negative against my stay there was that the jacuzzi was disappointing. the Jets were not strong enough to reach me when I was in the middle of the jacuzzi so it wasn't very relaxing except for the hot water.

All the staff were very kind. The motel itself is dated, which is fine. Our room felt clean, but a little drab, but for the price, it was a perfect pit stop for us. Breakfast was fine, too. Bagels, cereal, fruits and yogurt.

Have you ever visited a hotel and immediately missed the comfort of your home? I felt this way checking into this establishment. It needs major renovations. The paint on the walls are pealing and the carpets look like they haven't been replaced since 1962.

Dingy, windows terrible with broken locks, noisy, gardens not kept up, painting needed in and out, garbage cans up of floor and noot in bathroom, location of toilet paper, hit elbow trying to get, small tv, not enough light when curtains drawn, bed skirts old and fraying, only real good thing, staff friendly even though they talked to fast dometimes and a little hard to understand. Breakfast need a bit more upgrade.

Staff was lovely. Only concern was the light right outside my room and the curtains didn’t cover the windows enough to keep the light out at night. Breakfast was decent though I did bring some cheese for my eggs (the fridge in the room was quite handy)

The breakfast room was lacking
Not the standard super 8 set up. The Tip jar was an odd addition.
Under the bed was filthy, trash under the beds not.cleaned between visits and the pool was dirty.
It does not resemble the photos on expedia.
Overall maintenance was due for improvement.
We will not be staying again.
NOT worth the fee.

This property’s outside appearance is not welcoming. It is like a motel. The room was clean but quite small. Breakfast had very limited options. I’ve never seen a toaster that takes so much time to toast just 2 slices of bread! Overall it’s ok for a short stay

A very deep clean is required. The kids played hide and seek, under the bed. They pulled out a disgusting amount of bed lint? Dirt anyways. A three day stay and no coffee refills are offered. Yes you say ask for the coffee.....I asked for 2 extra trash liners, an extra roll of toilet paper. Maybe when room service is being done you could be asked what is needed? Just not a very pleasant stay.

I did not like that they charge you 20$ for a baby crib, knowing that other lodges it is free of charge.
The toilet seat is very tight and installed within the sink.
The cleanliness is on average (they can do better).

This place is a mess. The property was in great disrepair but appeared to be under renovation. The desk clerk had to search for a pen for me to sign in. The grounds were unkempt. The indoor pool was drained and in poor repair. The room was relatively clean. I would not stay here again.

We came in as a stop on our trip.
Look at the pictures in hotels.com, it was not too bad.
Finally, came in, took the key and go for dinner.
When we came back, around 11PM, go in the room, it was smelling moss incredibly. Not clean, all old équipements. Like 1970…
Not able to open the door window, lock is jammed…
Ask to be refund, guy said I will upgrade you… go to see the new room, same smell but new floor, the other équipements are the same. Walk around the outside, door close with tape saying don’t cross, broken. Ask for refund…

We were a bit skeptical when we first drove in. Looked a bit run down. Found out later they are in the middle of fixing the outside.Check in was quick, deluxe 2 bed poolview with porch (definately recommend pool view)was clean, good size, sheets and beds were comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing. Sitting on the porch, outside our room, had a tranquil resort feel. Chinese restaurant across the street looked nice. There is a wings restaurant attached to the property. Most restaurants are a short drive into the quaint town. The included breakfast was hot and adequate. Scrabbled eggs, sausages, toast, yogurt, cereals and a variety of juices, coffee and tea. Served from 7 to 10. You will find gas stations, no frills, giant tiger,dollarama and an ice cream shop in the area. Internet access was spotty. Tub was a bit stained, hot water was really hot, tv didn’t work and toilet ran on,so had to jiggle handle. Most motels in Gananoque are old except for the Holiday Inn Express which was next to the Super 8..If you are looking for a short stay in the area. The Super 8 would be a good choice.

The rooms were okay (small tvs) we had room 100 and could hear the staff in and out at all hours. Can hear ppl walking around above you as well.

The grounds are unkept which is sad as it could be nice. The colour of the hotel is different than what’s posted online as well.

The wild wings is attached, staff is very friendly and the food was good

Our room was very musty and at times there was a very strong smell of smoke coming through the adjoining door from the room beside us - poor door seals?? Considering ours was a non-smoking room as was the one beside us and we don’t smoke it was pretty bad. At 11pm, and very tired we didn’t call the front desk.

The bed wasn’t horrible, not completely worn out but getting close.

Pretty sure our room had fleas killed a few on my husband’s leg. Very run down garbages full around the property. Dirty pool, they boast a gym and athletic room which was under renovation so false advertising as it’s none operational and you must pay to use. Also our fridge in our room was broken and leaking water, and the water flow throughout the room toilet bowl was so low we couldn’t flush. Very disappointing stay, will not be back.

This property is poorly maintained. We found a pill in the bed, and couldn't sleep because the lighting outside of the room was so bright that the curtains could not properly work. There was mold in the shower and it looked overall like it had not been cared for over the years.

The property location was good and hotel looked decent from outside. However,as soon as you enter the hotel lobby for check-in, there is a weird smell like chlorine water. Then after heading to room, the room looks decent. However no vaccum to the sofa and Bathtoom has a lot of issues like flushing was not working the nob was broken sometimes it worked and some times it didn't. And so does the sink was not able to drain water. And breakfast options are okay ..

Friendly welcome and good location, but
the hotel is dirty and poorly maintained. The pool has a robot that is there when there are tourists. Breakfast is very small with no real choice, and there are boxes and trash cans next to where you eat.
The smell is horrible, the refrigerator is dirty and makes a noise that makes it impossible to sleep, not to mention the air conditioning that hums. The smell of tobacco is everywhere,

really unpleasant and disappointing to have paid so much for this service.

My wife and I have been going for years to this particular hotel. The last 3 times we have gone there have been issues with the rooms we've booked. There have been issues with key cards not working and us locked outside, we've been moved to different rooms because their tubs dont work properly, we spent 2 days without any hot water and only got comped half of the cost of a single day when we only ever book here specifically for the ensuite jacuzzi. The bathroom floors are broken and spongy from water damage, the showers are falling apart, there are missing knobs for jacuzzi timers, air intakes for jacuzzis, fan timers in the bathrooms, and even plugs for the bath tubs. We've been to this motel so many times that we've seen many different rooms and they are all in horrible shape in one way or another. The motel is old and dirty with mold in the walls in the hallways, the ice machine is gross and smells of mold, and the compensation for inconvenience is laughable. We said we'd never go back after the last time we went and had no hot water for 2 days but decided to give them another shot and we were left disappointed once again after this last trip. They need to renovate and fix quite a few things around the motel. Its gone downhill fast since it became a super 8. I can safely say that after going here several times a year for the last 7 years, we will never be going back.

We stayed for 3 days arriving on Monday and leaving on Wednesday morning. Anyone we met was very helpful. The one thing that we did notice was the steps leading upstairs to the rooms could have been swept off and some of the stones were loose or even missing. The pool was closed (not that we use a pool) some of the time. But the breakfast was good and our room was good with the mini fridge etc. We would stay there again if we come to Gananoque.

The hotel is under renovations, but once complete will be a very lovely place to stay. We upgraded our room to Deluxe and poolside.
The room was nicely renovated, clean and comfy beds. Bathroom was moderately updated. Not Hilton but good value. very helpful and friendly staff, and short drive to downtown Gananoque. Good breakfast, fresh eggs, sausages and toast, but missing the wafers which my kids like. Would book again.
