Great place with an amazing view - almost worth coming here just for the view. Nice and quiet area, far better than being in the overly touristy centre of Queenstown itself. Easy access to the airport and to a shopping area that includes a Woolworths. You do need to know that it's right under the flight path for the airport. The first flights are at 7am and the last around 9pm. They were never a problem though.

Everything was great, but the cottage heating system did not work the entire time we were there. Called as asked for assistance and someone came and fiddle with the system for a while, but couldn't get the heat to work so he left and referred us to the user manual which did no good. Otherwise, highly recommended (but not when it's cold outside.)

Loved our stay in the cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. We came to the Queenstown area to cycle the trails and the bonus was direct access to the Twin Rivers Trail right next to the cottages.

There’s a broken car in the driveway, the ramp deck is covered in mould & moss, there’s spider webs inside on the wall up near the ceiling which you look at from the bed.

We live under a flight path in Australia but if you’re not used of it, this could be a problem- location isn’t far from Queenstown airport and flight path is beside the cottages.
Great amenities in the cottage but they are missing a dishwashing draining rack, the microwave is too high and hard to read, and they need more helpful information in the compendium, eg: there is a day night convenience store up the road that sells the most delicious pies and snag rolls, local attractions etc. The road in and out of Queenstown is always busy. The parking prices in Queenstown are so expensive ($6.00 an hour, $3.50 half hour etc). We really enjoyed our stay and location but also prices over Christmas period were expensive too.

Large space but lacks on the little things that makes your stay that bit better and would qualify for 5stars all over. Non coffee table, no little tables to put drinks on, lousy internet. This place was super nice with all modern amenities, even air conditioning! AIR CONDITIONING!! The only concern for staying here would be that its near an airport. That wasn't an issue for the wife and I because we love planes, but the sound could be a turn off for others. Otherwise, this place is super comfortable and we stayed there multiple nights and felt right at home. This place has beautiful views and was very spacious. The shower was one of the best I had the pleasure of using in our twelve day honeymoon, staying in a new place almost every night. Stay here if you are in the area, you won't regret it!

Arrived to find everything locked and no answers at property manager phone. Sent text to only get reply it may take a few days. No compensation offered for more than an hour of scrambling. Quiet get away
We had a lovely stay at Shotover Country Cottages. I didn't realise it was so far out of Queenstown town but was very quiet and beautiful outlook. Was very clean. We would have enjoyed a couch or lounging chairs and also perhaps a small table outside to enjoy drinks and nibbles on the deck. Also there was no milk so couldn't enjoy a morning coffee to our liking.

Great views. Out of town so it's nice and quiet, except for the planes and Shotover River boats. Only negative with the cottages....they need privacy screens on the verandah so you can sit looking at the view without seeing those in the adjoining cottage doing likewise. All in all, a great place. Highly recommend it.

I like that the property had a lovely view, easy to park and close to all that Queenstown had to offer. I was not so thrilled that the flat next door had been rented out to a different party (unknown to us) so in the morning if you were sitting out on your deck it’s wasn’t so private. Maybe need some Screening so you are able to enjoy all the space.

Loved the quiet and convenient location, perfect for our snow holiday. Spacious cottage contained everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately hot water stopped working mid-shower and the water was freezing cold. Called for help and was promptly assisted allowing us to go to the next cottage to use the hot water there. Kettle was shockingly dirty so we used a pot for boiling water.

I loved the cottage. Very clean with everything I needed. I wanted peace and quiet and to be slightly outside of Queenstown so it was perfect for me.
My only concern is that I didn’t know exactly where to go when I arrived, and it would have been nice to get some guidance from the owners as to where to go and what to see. I figured it out on my own but would have appreciated so more time speaking to them. I could not easily pick up the phone and call because I was not from New Zealand.

I was on a workation and wanted to stay away from the tourists area of Queenstown and this cottage seemed perfect. Not too far from the city with peace and quiet surroundings. Wait till your neighbors checks in with sharing a wall of the cottage, soundproof doesn't exist. You will hear everything your neighbors is doing. TV, music, talking, cooking, even walking. Not so quiet anymore. Oh and free Wifi doesn't work more than half the time. I ran a speedtest of the wifi and its usually less than 1 mbps and it goes dead if an airplanes flies by. Its also near the airport, so it does happen a lot. It's the 2019, seriously need to update the wifi speed. It's clean and it has everything you need but if you are looking for some quite time, good luck not having a neighbor next door.

The little semi detached cottage is one of 4 located in an elevated position on the end of a housing development , I must admit when driving the last 1/2 k I was a little worried about the location , but when you drive down the drive and see the wonderful unobstructed views all your concerns disappear..the property has everything you need , though I think it would be nice to have a small sofa to make it a little more cozy.
As has been pointed out by a previous person the only negative is the planes landing and taking off at the airport though they seem to be only in small clusters in the morning and evening, and honestly after walking around the Queenstown area I don’t think they will any hotels etc that aren’t effected.

We really enjoyed our stay. Exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. The cottages are about a 20 minute drive into town but 5 minutes from grocery stores. The only downside for us was that the cottages are attached and not sound proof. When the other cottage was vacant it was very quiet, but when occupied we were awoken by the footsteps of the other guests walking around and cooking. Agree with previous posts. Only things I would add are to be prepared for traffic leaving the neighborhood. Took us 20+ minutes to get to the main road at 0800. Also, we stayed 2 nights and were a little surprised that the room wasn’t made up after the first night. No biggie, though.

Stayed here for 6 nights recently and really loved the place. It’s located in an extremely quiet area in lower shotover and not far from the hectic centre of Queenstown if you have a rental car (a must with the pricing and poor availability of taxis).
The cabins have everything required and are really modern and clean, perfect for a relaxing stay after a busy day. The internet in our cabin wasn’t quick enough to run nextflix on the TV, however it was adequate for internet on the phones.
Would highly recommend this accomodation to anyone coming to Queenstown, especially as the price is extremely reasonable also.
