The layout of hotel a bit of a maze and finding it at night difficult. Roads unsigned and hotel sign at night difficult to see.
Ground floor labelled 4. Room was on 4 but not same 4 as entry.- several lifts away. No porter to show your room for first time.

We love the Hilton Queenstown! It's in a beautiful location and the water taxi makes it super easy to go into Queenstown. Parking is available for those day trips so it's very convenient. We had a relaxation room and took advantage of the hot tub daily. My only complaints are the fireplace is kind of lame (very low flame) and the carpet is a little worn. Not deal breakers by any stretch. This was our second stay at the Hilton Queenstown, and we'll definitely be back!

A beautiful hotel on the lakes edge. Rooms were spacious, the view was incredible, they had a great breakfast selection, carpark was just across the road.

Only thing was, it’s a slight drive out of Queenstown, but very close to airport.

There is the option of the water taxi which runs every hour and picks up straight out the front of the hotel. $10-$14 one way

Outstanding room overlooking the lake and Queenstown. Staff member at the front desk was exceptionally helpful.
A bit tricky getting there and parking across the way for a fee. Water Taxi fee is nonrefundable. It broke down and so we lost money. HOWEVER, the receptionist kindly held on to our tickets and other guests were able to use it and he gave us credit. Driving into town is busy and finding parking a challenge so look for the car park. It will cost you around the same price for the water taxi! What a fun place to visit!

We stayed for four nights in a suite, and while the room met expectations for space and comfort, the food and beverage service was a serious disappointment. Despite good front desk staff, we encountered three negative incidents within the first two days. First, a host at the main restaurant dismissed us to the bar area despite our reservation and empty tables, making us wait over 15 minutes unnecessarily. The next morning, a café staff member rudely took an item from my wife’s hands. Finally, room service at lunch was delayed—first due to “clearing breakfast,” then further late—resulting in our meal arriving an hour late. While the F&B manager was apologetic and tried to rectify things, these issues overshadowed our stay. Overall, an underpar experience—3 out of 5 star

We had a 2 bedroom waterfront apartment. Nice views. Room was clean and new. It's close to the airport, but about a 20 minute drive into town. We had a rental car, so that wasn't a problem for us, just bear in mind the extra cost if you need taxis or water taxis into town. There are nice walks around the lake from the hotel.

Lovely hotel! Beautiful property around the lake. We are so glad we didn’t stay in downtown queenstown and decided to stay here. There is a ferry outside the hotel that you can take to go to downtown queenstown or if you have a car, it’s very convenient drive. Room was sooo nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it 100%

While the hotel is in a prime location and the staff are mostly excellent, the overall experience didn’t quite match the price point.

The rooms felt overpriced, and the corridors appeared dated and in need of a deep clean or renovation.

Regarding dining, the food quality was average despite the high cost. Notably, breakfast was a letdown; despite paying for the meal, there is an additional surcharge for barista-made coffees like cappuccinos.

Front office staff was attentive and available 24/7 for any needs. Grounds were clean, quiet, slightly removed from the main downtown of Queenstown but only a short drive away and it was nice to be on the other side away from the action a bit. Good if you’re looking for a little more privacy and relaxed pace.

Hotel was nice and onsite restaurant was great. Views are incredible and walkways to destinations are great. Cons - room was extremely dim lit. Even the restroom. In-room dining didn’t bring the correct order. And when they brought the canned beverage, it was extremely dented and unable to open. A bit outdated but still a pleasant stay overall.

We stayed twice during our holiday, the first time was amazing. We were in a Wakatipu suite which felt luxurious, had a great view and was quiet. The second time was not so great. We were in a different room type but the price was similar. Unfortunately this room was not in the best shape, broken cupboard, worn carpet and table, old and uncomfortable bed - not up to standard for the room rate. Breakfast was very average. But overall the hotel is in a lovely quiet location, awesome lake views and helpful staff.

We loved the location and the property views and surroundings. We had stayed there 5 years ago, and since then, the hotel has had huge improvements in service and staff. Everything was fast and professional, from check-in, to room service and check out. Very friendly and helpful staff. The Wakatipu Grill restaurant has good food options.

The rooms are tidy and comfortable, however, the only thing I would change is the duvet on the bed, that had fitted corners, which is not our personal preference and affects our comfort. But it is too minor.

The hotel also has a ski hire spot which we didn't know about. We will make sure to use it next time. We would definitely go back.

We stayed in room 501 which was lovely. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner, the bellboy was lovely and the reception was clean and cosy although the air freshener is very over powering. Our room was lovely and clean although the glass sliding door doesn’t appear to have been cleaned in a long time. Room service was available daily however it wasn’t really good, I tidied the room myself daily so there wasn’t much for them to do yet it still wasn’t cleaned well. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the planes flying in and out, the noise from the plane wasn’t a problem and we couldn’t hear anything when we closed the door. I would suggest you hire a car as the water taxi is $10 per person one way. Overall it was a lovely stay, the food was nice and the staff were polite. I will definitely return

We selected this hotel for a winter ski break. It’s Very close to the airport and a short drive to the ski resorts. Central Queenstown is about 15mins drive.
The hotel room was very spacious with a split level living room/bedroom overlooking the lake. Great breakfast and dinner in the evening.
We enjoyed our stay at The Hilton.

This is a very nice hotel and property. We just had a very bad stay.

We wanted to finish up a long trip with a 2 night stay here as a treat after a lot of driving and bouncing around the South Island.

Check in staff was friendly and courteous, but there was an issue with the booking. They were able to piece it together, and ultimately got it handled without issue, but it took about 40 minutes. Not a big deal on its own.

We got to our room, which was amazing. Very clean, lots of space, and a beautiful view! Exactly what we were hoping for.

After settling in, attempted to log on to wifi, which did not work. Called the front desk, and they spelled our name wrong so we could not log in. They needed to change it in their system, then we could log in. They were again, helpful and courteous and had this corrected in about 20 minutes. Again, no big deal at all on its own.

We left our room and returned later that night. Turned on the television which was set up with a menu to scan QR codes for room service menu, and a link so you could cast from your phone, or watch local programming. We went to bed, chose to cast, and after following the prompts got a movie on Netflix to cast to the tv, but with no sound. The tv had a message that said in order to adjust sound, the tv settings needed to be changed from surround sound.

The view was stunning.
However little things dragged it down.The initial room did not match the photo on the website. Staff were able to fix that.
Check in and having the room serviced were an issue although staff were very polite and friendly when they arrived.
The lack of little things such as replacement floor mat or a decent in house coffee or coffee maker and no night light in a very dark bathroom tempered the experience.

What a great experience in Queenstown. In room fireplace is a game changer. The hotel was very welcoming and the rooms super spacious, clean and warm. The buffet breakfast was great and offered a great selection. The lake view stunning at sunrise and at the restaurant. The indoor pool was the perfect temperature and the gym well equipped. A wonderful stay!

Absolutely beautiful location and hotel. Staff were so nice to organise a surprise for our grandmother as we were travelling to celebrate her birthday. Special mention to the young man who helped us with our luggage and went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. Very spacious and beautiful rooms.
