POSITIVES: The room was a great size (compared to some Japanese hotels) with good, customisable lighting (some hotels have had very low lighting in comparison). Had 2 variety of pillows, one with an Interesting neck support thing inbuilt, which I loved. Great location, 500m walk to nishiki markets for food . We didn’t include breakfast, but the cafe opened early (7am) she did good coffee & had a small western breakfast menu. There is a separate public lounge space to hang out/eat your own food.
NEGATIVES: the bathroom fan was on constantly. It wasn’t super loud but could be annoying if you’re a light sleeper. Fixed with ear plugs. Our room window was fully frosted, which while it still let in light & was obviously for privacy to the next door building, meant you couldn’t see the sky/weather.
Overall we really liked this hotel & would definitely stay again.
