Very nice over night stop to break up long journey

A night to break up the journey from southern Italy back to Calais, 24 hour reception, so we didn't have the stress of having to arrive by a set time, our son loved that the room as like \"a little house\" in his eyes with the living room downstairs and the sleeping area up, odd that the only English speaking channel was Bloomberg which we haven't experienced in a Mecure before...but it didn't matter as we were only staying the night, breakfast in the morning was lovely

The facilities were great, especially with the gym. There was a very small pool but a decent sized hot tub. At about 9.15 am the pool filled up with all the locals who had come to hang out. Quite humourous to see them all bobbing about in the water! There were lots of pieces of gym equipment, it was actually very well equipped. The whole place just needs a lick of paint and it would be great.

Breakfast was lovely. I would call it continental plus. There was a great selection of teas and coffees!

The bar was well stocked and well done out.

The room was fine, standard really.

This was supposed to be a 4* hotel. There was no room service. The restaurant closes at 10pm and the bar at 11pm. I have never stayed in a 4* hotel with no room service.

I was pleased with my stay at the Mercure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. I like that fact that windows can be opened. Breakfast buffet has a huge selection of items and a great choice of teas. The in-house restaurant was a convenient choice for dinner for my business trip.

We had booked an apartment which was absolutely terrible. Very dirty all over. After I wet to reception and showed the pictures I took, we were upgraded to a privilege room. Friendly staff and great service. The room was very comfortable and we had great dinner in the restaurant.

Front of house staff were fine. Restaurant staff were unhelpful. Nothing in English. No written menu. Just a qr scan code if You happen to have a mobile phone With you. Even with Covid what is wrong with a photocopy of the menu which can be recycled after your meal. Not rocket science.

A great location for an overnight stop en route to the French Alps but hotel struggled to cope with the numbers. One waiter was really rude to us in the restaurant asking us to move even before he checked that we in fact did have a valid reservation.Long wait at the bar to get served for drinks. Food wasn't available until 7pm. Disappointing for the money paid.

The price for the room is too high compared to the standard offered.
The room was prepaid, however they tried to charge again at check-out.
Coffee or tea was not offered in the breakfast resturant. I had to ask for it. Personally I would prevent this hotel in future.

Would Not Recommend!

So many things went wrong during our stay! First of all the room we were given was located outside of the hotel, so you had to walk in the cold wet rain to get to your room. The room had 2 floors the sink and shower on the first floor and the toilet on the second floor. Which meant that you had to go downstairs to wash your hands every time you used the bathroom which was upstairs. We were 2 people and they only gave us one towel!! The thinnest, flimsiest towel I've ever seen. We had to ask for another towel EVERY DAY, and some days were only given a hand towel to use. The Do not Disturb Sign kept going missing, I had to ask for new ones at reception. There are 2 restaurants on site. The restaurant with the bar, the staff was very rude. The other restaurant which was the one where you get breakfast as well, the staff there went above and beyond and were amazing. We had issues with charges we did not make. Like laundry, which we didn't have done! The problem stems from the fact that they charge everything to your room, simply by asking the room number. No ID check at all!! So anyone could go to a restaurant, laundry, spa, whatever and use your room # to charge their things. Worst of all, we saw a woman get a key to her room at reception without showing ID or giving her name, just her room number. So irresponsible, STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Check in was fine but they said the room is \"outside\". Had a fair walk to these old dark buildings not attached to Mecure that are in dire need of knock-down. Rooms smelled stale. Was not impressed with anything. Beds were lumpy and things in general were in a poor state. Unfortunately the worst property I have stayed in a long time.

I booked apartment room, which was supposed to have free WiFi. It did not have any Internet connection at all. I had to change to the main building for a more expensive room, which was then given me as free upgrade as clearly they have miss-sold their rooms on your website. Other noticeable thing with the apartment room is, that the toilet/bathroom was upstairs (narrow and steep stairs), so if you have any mobility difficulties, do not book apartment room. This was not stated on the website.

Large grounds, lovely pool and terrace area, good gym and spa facilities. However the staff are in need of training. The front of house were not particularly interested in their guests. We were told very casually that one of the two restaurants was closed for August. Really in the peak of the summer season???? The room is fine if a little tired and need of updating. The bathroom has been updated and was good. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a very inferior quality and lumpy. The restaurant was not good. The food was very mediocre indeed. My braised local sausage was disgusting, the saute potatoes from the freezer and the mange tout mush. Breaksfast was inlcuded in our room rate although some people appeared to be paying 15.50€. There was one person serving, the bread was hard, and the bread for toasting was stale. The plates were filthy we had to sort through six to find a clean one. The poor waitress could not keep up with replenishing everything on her own. The choice was standard although who eats mini frankfurters for breakfast I don't know and the bacon was undercooked. Not a great experience mostly due to the attitude of the staff for which there is no excuse.

Hotel offers everything you need. It is a bit far from downtown Lyon. As long as you like the location (great town too) you can't go wrong with this hotel. The food is varied and good quality at fair prices too. Easy parking, pools even. Choice of light or big breakfast.

Hotel is located close to the airport in Lyon. It has two restaurants with different meals offered for dinner. Rooms are not big, but space is optimised. Each and every day I got the coffee refill, since it is offered free of charge in the room, which I liked very much.

Mais surtout un accueil et un professionnalisme tout simplement lamentable.
18h45 nous arrivons et faisons notre check-in, nous sommes accueilli par une dame peu aimable - nous l'avions déjà noté vu l'accueil fait aux clientes devant nous ).
Bref peu importe son côté aigri, nous n'y pretons que peu d'importance et faisons notre check-in. nous en profitons pour ui demander une table au restaurant pour 19h/19h15. Elle nous répond sèchement que le restaurant est complet pour la soirée même pour les clients de l'hôtel.
Elle nous dit d'aller voir dans le centre ville à pied qu'il y a des restaurants.
Fatigués, nous posons nos valises et repartons directement à pied. Après 10/12 min de marche dans le froid et à travers un quartier peu rassurant nous trouvons un restaurant qui nous accueille bien volontiers.
20h30 env Diner finit nous rentrons à l'hôtel à pied (de nouveau 10/12 min à pied).
20h40 nous arrivons à l'hôtel et là surprise, nous constatons que le restaurant de l'hôtel est au 3/4 vide. 4 ou 5 tables sont occupées.
Contrarié et fatigué, j'appelle la fameuse dame pour lui signifier et elle se confond en excuses/raisons bidon.
Bref, cette dame doit changer de métier si elle ne veut pas être au service des clients.
Fidèle client Mercure depuis des années, j'avoue que cette expérience m'a quelque fois refroidi.

Plusieurs venues dans cet établissement , toujours en logement en extérieur , par contre climatisation inefficace , quand nous dormons a l'étage , nous avons du dormir sur le canapé lit ( désolé d'avoir défait deux lit ) et encore c'était juste en tant que bien être , peut être les clim sont géraient par leurs soins , car même ventilation forte et température assez basse , dur de dormir , heureusement que nous sommes restés dans la chambre que quelques heures ; car départ a 4h00

Andrea a l'accueil est parfait. Très accueillant, souraint et bonne humeur. Nous sommes arrivés en soirée 19h30 et il était déjà en clientèle. Le serveur du restaurant a su prendre en charge notre attente et nous faire patienter.
Très bon point. Chambre spacieuse, hôtel très beau, piscine intérieur et extérieur super et salle de sport complète. Rien à redire là-dessus. Petite attention dans la chambre de la part du personnel. Cela à fait notre bonne note pour cet établissement.

Malheureusement, le personnel du petit-déjeuner est vraiment pas agréable. Pas d'accueil, nous ne savons pas où nous placer. Je pense que c'est un responsable du service qui s'est permis de reprendre un jeune employé devant tout le monde. C'était gênant. Buffet disponible jusqu'à 10h30 mais débarrassé à 10h15... Heureusement que nous sommes arrivés avant. Choix limité en salé, que du jambon en charcuterie et pas de poisson. Pas d'omelette non plus.

Attention pour la propreté, nous avons mis nos affaire sur le sèche-serviette, qui était très poussiéreux...

Nous vous en faites pas nous reviendrons.

Lors de la réservation il y est indique terrase pour le duplex or ce n est pas le cas ! Aussi il est indiqué la climatisation mais elle est disponible uniquement sur la partie basse , autrement dit dans la mezzanine qui sert de chambre c est une fournaise !!! Dormir la fenetre ouverte a l hotel c est juste aberrant...decu par la marque Mercure car les 2 jours m ont épuisé car j ai quasiment pas dormi ..

Une chose bizarre : le paiement de la taxe de séjour ne peut se faire qu'au moment du départ, ce qui oblige au check out. Jamais vu cela ailleurs.

Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre familiale dans les bâtiments extérieurs, c'est très cosi. Tout est bien, assez spacieux pour une chambre quadruple. Un plus pour le thé et Nespresso à disposition.
Juste un bémol sur le canapé lit pas très confortable, mais surtout couverture trop fine prévue pour ce lit. Nous avons eu froid et avons dû nous habiller pour dormir.
Sinon RAS, jolie prestation et personnel à l'accueil très sympathique.

La chambre a 173€ était située à l’extérieur du bâtiment principal. Chambre sous forme de studio d’une qualité et d’un décor digne d’un hôtel bas de gamme. La propreté laisse à désirer, mur blanc taché, moquettes sales , vieille et tachée, ensemble des meubles et décorations ( rideaux..) poussiéreux et vieux. Pour résumer , hôtel médiocre en contradiction totale avec le prix payé (sans petit déjeuner inclus) et le superbe hall d’accueil d’entrée.
J’ai demandé à changer de chambre ce qui a été accepté fort heureusement, sinon j’aurais tout simplement quitté l’hôtel.
La 2 ème chambre proposée était digne de son tarif aussi bien sur la dimension de la chambre que son état. Le ménage est selon mes critères peu satisfaisant. Les murs étaient sales à certains endroits, ce que je trouve anormal pour une chambre qui facture des prix au delà de 150€ la nuit. (Même pour un montant plus bas).
Le restaurant RAS, rapide , serveurs courtois, qualité de la nourriture acceptable.
Le petit déjeuner n’était pas compris donc pour 18€ j’ai préféré prendre un café ailleurs, mais au paiement le petit déjeuner m’avait été facturé. Je l’ai signalé mais n’est pas encore verifie si cela a été régularisé.

Surclassement car le lit bébé ne passe pas dans la chambre réservée.
Propre malgré que les chambres soient un peu vieillissantes

Wir sind nachts um 00.30 Uhr dort angekommen, da unser Flug Verspätung hatte. Leider waren in einem Zimmer für 4 Personen nur 3 Kissen zur Verfügung. Wir wohnten in einem kleinen Appartement ausserhalb des eigentlichen Hotelgebaüdes. Anrufe bei der Rezeption blieben um diese Zeit unbeantwortet. Um zur Rezeption zu gelangen, hätte man komplett um das ganze Areal herum laufen müssen, da der direkte Zugang zur Rezeption um diese Zeit geschlossen war. Kurzum, ich musste Kleidung als Kissen verwenden. Für ein Mercure nicht hinnehmbar. Zusätzlich war das Bett aussen sehr dreckig und alt.

Bon hôtel

Très bon hôtel chambre spacieuse et salle de bain agréable.
Un bémol sur le service d’étage qui tente de rentrer dans la chambre sans frapper et insiste malgré l’indication de l’occupation de la chambre obligation d’élèver la voix, inadmissible d’être dérangé de la sorte.
