A clean room in an industrial area close to the airport made it convenient to catch an early morning flight. Gas stations and restaurants were close by. Adequate on site restaurant with a buffet was a pleasant surprise.

Bathroom sink taps did not work. I imagine reception was aware of this as gave us a connecting room expecting us to use sink in other room.

Great value for a basic hotel

This was a great value if you need to stay close to the airport. It has everything that you’d need - very basic - but perfectly comfortable. The airport shuttle picks you up right st the front gate for €8 every hour - another bonus!

Everything about my stay at the Campanile was great except the food in the restaurant. It was very disappointing and expensive! It might have looked good on the plate but it lacked any sort of nutrition. The entree looked like it was designed to go from freezer to microwave.

Good option for the airport

Good stay, the shuttle bus to the airport was very efficient. The only problem was the hotel not being able to find my booking - which was worrying but just an oversight as it turns out.

Very very poor experiance never again

Very dissapointed ! First the automated no staff on site check in does not recognise any booking agents res numbers ! I and my French and German friends who had used other agents had the same problem ! We were left outside the hotel in the cold and damp for 40 minutes at 01.00 whilst trying to sort it out on the emergency telephone number ! Seems like your reservation systems do not link with their on site automated machines ! Then there is no elevator so with a bad back and doctors orders not to lift anything I had to carry my case up an outside staircase ! The location and room itself were fine ! But the WiFi network was not working (no it was not me it was their equipment I used to own a WiFi solutions company and know what I am doing) then at 5.30 this morning I find the shaver point and hairdryer do not work ! So with no staff on site I had to travel unshaven and unkempt ! It was just very fortunate I was heading home and not to a business meeting. I will never book this type of automated hotel again am very disappointed ! It could work well if managed correctly but not for me !

I had an early flight out of St Exupery and this hotel was perfect for an overnight stay very close to the airport. The little restaurant in the hotel was nice although the price for breakfast was high. The shuttle which leaves from the hotel served me well. I would recommend

Although the hotel was good I feel deceived.

This hotel was chosen for being an airport hotel. It's description stated SHUTLE service. BUT they charged €12 from each of us to get to the airport. I would expect the site to state this price, so would be able to calculate the real price of this hotel.

Impossible to say, as it was 1am when my Husband arrived, tired and hungry. The auto-check-in refused the 12 digit reservation number; it would only accept/respond to 6 digits, and for 30 minutes he tried all combinations. He does not carry my visa card, so could not use card-access! He had to go to great lengths to get back to the airport to sleep.

Acceptable for the low price.

The hotel inspires compliments like \"feasible\" and \"tolerable.\" The rooms have been recently renovated, and well enough done. But the rooms are poorly isolated, and open to the outside. For the price, not bad. Paying 6€ for the shuttle (that the hotel shares with a rental car service) was a bit of a downer.But definitely a minimalist choice.

Cheap night before flight

Perfect hotel/motel if your plane is leaving early in the morning. Clean and quiet.

great final night after 2 weeks in the area

Last minute booking, after another hotel turned out to be on vacation that week (the French!). Very acceptable alternative. Close enough to Lyon to allow a short late afternoon visit, and right at the airport. Very clean and efficient, quiet room at a very good price. Would stay again.

Overall it was a wonderful overnight stay. Restaurant was very nice. They had a nice buffet as well as men . My only problem was room #12 I had to slam the door to close it. I had mentioned to the desk about this and she said there are a number of rooms that are like that. I have to feel sorry for the rooms next to us that feel the slamming of doors.

First time at a Campanile facility. Very basic; almost like staying in a freight container. Rooms accessed from the outside so no hallway; need to keep metal shade down for any privacy. Limited breakfast is extra cost, as is the shuttle to the airport.

Terrible place to stay unless you like bad service. The hotel has no receptionist after 11PM, so good luck if you are not familiar with automated systems in French or bad English translation. We ended up accidentally paying for two rooms and when asked for a cancellation of one room, were screamed at for not knowing how things work. Honestly, if you are in Lyon airport area, pay $30 more and get a normal hotel.

The location was convenient though it cost 6 euro oneway from the airport to the hotel. The food was barely average - the cook did not kow the difference between well done and burnt. As for the rooms, there was molding around the bath tubes, and my daughter got a bunch of bug bites overnight...

Would not recommend at all.

Our stay at Campanile Lyon Est - Aeroport St. Exupery

This nofrills motel is convenient to the St. Exupery Airport. It is small but clean and comfortable and offers free wireless internet. There's a nice restaurant on the premises. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating and most spoke English. I'd recommend this hotel for your layover at St. Exupery Airport.

Comment calmer des voisins de chambre bruyants?

L'hôtel et la chambre étaient corrects mais impossible de dormir. Pourtant, tout commençait bien avec, comme demandé, une chambre au fond d'un couloir, pour être au calme car ns devions nous lever tôt pour prendre l'avion. Nous avons eu des voisins horribles (au-dessus, côté ?). Des heures à marcher dans la chambre à partir de 23H30, les talons, à parler, à rigoler. Côté penderie, c'est comme s'ils étaient avec nous, nous entendions tout. Les murs sont en papier et on a le son. Résultat, paiement d'une chambre pour seulement dormir une heure.

Room at the Hotel - Room #3

Not a very welcoming room, this was the front door to the room. Inside the room there was no curtains, so when you switch on the light, you have to close the metal cover outside which makes it very claustrophobic. The sink inside the bathroom, works with a sensor and not a normal tap, this makes it impossible to shave as the tap keeps going off when you move your hand away. All in all, not a great experience and not worth the money I paid.

À éviter, le pire hôtel où j’ai pu aller

L’hôtel ne correspond pas aux photos de l’annonce. En réalité c’est un formule 1 déguisé. Donc autant dire que la qualité n’est de loin pas au rdv. La récupération de la carte n’est pas clairement affichée donc j’ai cherché à 23h, et j’ai dû appeler la borne. Le chauffage ne fonctionne pas et le bâtiment est dans un piteux état. On entend tout le bruit de l’extérieur et surtout le froid passe sous les portes et remonte par la dalle non isolée. Le ménage n’est pas fait correctement il y a des poils et des cheveux un peu partout, ne parlons même pas de la moquette non aspirée.

L'hôtel est assez vieux. La douche fuit, comme dans beaucoup de Campanile. La porte se bloque sur le seuil qui n'a même pas été prévu pour l'ouverture de porte. Il y a un jour en haut de la porte donc zéro isolation.

Maten i restaurangen var under all kritik. Vi påpekade det och fick till svar att det var vad fransmännen åt. En bränd biff som smakade sot eller pasta som var som gröt kan väl inte heller fransmän acceptera. Väldigt otrevligt bemötande i restaurangen.

Nous devions passer une derniére nuit proche de l'aéroport avant de repartir et l'hôtel campanile a répondu à nos attentes. Hôtel calme en retrait de la route, un dîner à notre goût et un petit déjeuner style buffet varié. Le service navette est un plus indéniable.
