This place was packed full of families with small children. Many were running through the hallways and making lots of noise. It deterred us from hanging out in the lobby area or enjoying a meal at the hotel. It's an older motel that has been renovated to be more modern. It's cute, but a little overpriced for the location and amenities.

The front desk staff were not the friendliest. I wouldn't stay here again.

Beds, mattress and pillows were very comfortable, unfortunately there was a wedding and we were the closest room to the reception and the wedding guests appeared to have no control over there small children (5/6/7/8) running riot well after 11pm. My wife hardly slept, and my sleep was interrupted. We stayed on the way down with no issues and hence we returned,but our return trip was spoilt by this unfortunate turn of events.

Great hotel - will come back

I liked it a lot, its in good condition, lots of fun activities for kids, nice room, easy to access, good breakfast. My only grumble would be the price of a beer, though it seems novotel always charge silly money at the bar. I will stay there again.

Le soir de l'arrivée pas d'eau chaude, le lendemain toujours pas d'eau chaude. La réceptionniste a dit que c'était le cas dans tout l'hôtel, même pas d'excuses de sa part. Pouvoir prendre une douche chaude c'est un minimum attendu d'un hôtel, non?

The hotel is clean and up-to-date with friendly staff. The attached restaurant is great, better than I would expect for a hotel restaurant, but then again, it is France where all the food is excellent. There is even a Super Nintendo in the lobby which the kids enjoyed. It was perfect for one night en route to another destination. I would definitely come back again.

We stayed in this hotel just for one night while travelling south. The room and the breakfast were OK, but the staff appear not qualified to do their job. First, the check in staff was unfriendly. Then the cleaning lady was washing the floor at the reception without putting a visible sign. That resulted in my son slipping and hurting himself badly. I complained to the receptionist, but he gave bad excuses, and finally he put the sign where guests could see it. Overall, room is fine, but the staff is not.

Room was sub standard, Smart Tv didn’t work, window that didn’t shut, and to top it off no daily housekeeping and when this was raised with reception all I was told was it was in my booking confirmation which it wasn’t!

Being forced to sleep in dirty bedding for another night I cut my stay short and left at 11pm.

If your not going to operate the basics as a hotel just shut the doors and don’t allow guests.

Novotel Bron est très, très bonne

After a long day travelling the pool was a welcome site, rooms large & very clean. Food in restaurant excellent for both evening meal and breakfast with a wide variety of choice and Gluten Free products. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in reception and restaurant.Perfect stop-over hotel to and from the South of France.

The property has been renovated since my last visit and had a modern entrance and bar/restaurant area.

Hotel fine but deceptive room/beds description

Nice hotel, but we specifically booked 2 rooms with a double bed and 2 single beds in each. It turns out the 2 single beds are actually a double pull out sofa bed. You can book a double with sofa bed room type in other local hotels for almost half the price so feel very deceived.
On querying with the staff, In French, I was told this was a translation problem in the English room description as they had no rooms in the hotel with 2 single beds only sofa beds.

Nice modern rooms, a bit tight but there were 4 of us. I think they've done it up really nicely and plenty to keep kids entertained for a short stay. It's been undergoing renovation still not quite finished so the gym wasn't available for us. Otherwise great. We didn't try the breakfast, went to macdonalds up the road. Good soundproofing for a quiet nights sleep . We only stayed one night .

It should mention that the hotel is getting refurbished. Lift not working, gym is now the reception and no room service. Room was very clean though.

Not at all like the pictures

Pictures do not represent the room we received. Very run down. Place is under rehabilitation but no mention of it before booking. No elevator to second floor. Carpet was stained and the whole place had a 1970s feel. Glad we were there for only one night.

Coffee machine was out of milk at 6 am . We had to wait for over 20 minutes for the staff to fix it. We paid over €50.00, unfortunately we did not enjoy our breakfast due to the machine. The taxi supposed to pick us up at 6:45 am to Lyon airport which left us with about 5 minutes to eat. Overall it was a nice stay.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Delicious food. Only negative is there are not enough staff in the bar & restaurant to cater for busy periods (one person for the bar and the restaurant). We had to wait a very long time for a drink at the bar as the restaurant was being catered for first.

Hotel close to Eurexpo

I recently stayed at the Novetel Bron for a business trip as we were attending a trade show at the Euroexpo. The hotel is conveniently situated for the exhibition centre and is only 10 minutes away in a taxi. The hotel is basic and my room was a little dated and very hot! The restaurant has improved somewhat considerably since the last time I visited the hotel, especially for vegetarians. Breakfast is always busy and you have to queue for a drink, queue for the juice etc. I often wonder if they should look at the layout so it is easier to get to the food and drinks.
Convenient hotel for the trade exhibition and comfortable enough!

Nice, clean hotel. We were there only for one night just for a stop over to Paris. Hotel had everything we needed. Kids loved the pool. There is a secured parking and free of charge which was nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very well located, easy to get access to highway but stays in a quiet area. Nearby there have a big shopping mall, several restaurant, very convenient for business stay and leisure stay. The room has double windows and soudproof wall, which makes the stay quiet and undisturbed. The room is clean and just big enough for two adults and two children.

The breakfast is very delicious, if possible, please try the room service. It's also very considerable. Very nice stay.

Use the hotel as base before flight the following day. Good night sleep and food very good. Would prefer the restaurant to be open earlier than 7pm in the evening as my kids can't wait that long!

1 of the things I like about Novotel hotels is that you can expect the same high quality & room design. Brussels, Prague & Lyon rooms are all the same. Clean, comfortable & nicely designed. They have everything I need for a business trip.

Useful hotel not far from the motorway

We stopped on the way back from the Alps and stayed in an executive room - 2 adults & 2 children. The room was really clean and no different from any other Novotel. However, the air conditioning was not working - we are told at this time of the year (April) only heating works and it was boiling in the room plus we couldn't open the window as it was barred - awful night sleep had by all. Also, we had dinner and the chicken was probably the worst I have ever been served - it was dried up and so tough - it had obviously been sitting under a hot plate for hours before being served. Dinner was terrible and very, very expensive.

Ideal for our requirements

We cannot think of a serious negative thing to say about this hotel, it suited us perfectly. If we wanted to be really 'picky', the lack of a lift seemed rather odd for a 4 star hotel, but the exercise did us good ! It also proved that my french accent needs a bit of work. I asked for l'ascendeur, and was taken to room 102 ( à cent deux)

Average - but poor compared to other Novotels

The location and the rooms were ok. Average standard. Seems more like a motorway motel than a Novotel 4 star hotel. The rooms were clean but the carpets and walls in corridors and lifts are stained and worn. The service at the restuarant was pathetic. Had to wait ages to get any service. Seemed understaffed. Worst Novotel we have ever stayed in. Avoid it if you can and stay in Lyon centre.

A good hotel and for business and was useful all round if a little far from the Metro link and nearest Tram to get there (a good 20 minute walk). Few hotels have fast enough broadband for business and this was no exception, but did work OK. Taxi service outside and bookable within 10 minutes if busy. Breakfast Good. Surprised how few spoke English well but we got by, and were referred when difficult. The British are poorest at languages so this is only an observation.

A great stop over

We've stayed here a couple of times with a small child and would go back again. It's location is convenient for motorways, the staff are very helpful and there is a huge choice at breakfast. They are in the process of redoing the swimming area - the plans look good, it should be finished soon judging by the progress in March!

A great airport stop over

We used this hotel to stay before an early flight to London.

It was convenient, comfortable and the staff were great. we had a nice meal in the restaurant.

The location of the hotel was good with easy access into the city centre of Lyon. The staff were very helpful. The room was quite spacious with all mod cons. The breakfast was extensive and very good. An easy 15 minute drive to the internationaI airport. I would highly recommend this hotel

Personeel was vriendelijk, maar de kamers waren heel gedateerd.
Bij binnenkomen van de kamer stonk het enorm. Airco werkte niet in 1 van de kamers.
De bedden voor de kinderen waren ook niet gemaakt en hebben we zelf moeten doen.
Niet wat we van Accor gewoon zijn.

Arrivé à 17 h 30 j ai eu la chambre à 18 h 30 pas de bureau pour travailler juste une petite tablette pour une chambre excecutive.
