Lovely apartment hotel on the outskirts of Lyon. We are a family of 4 and it was nice to have a separate bedroom. Reception staff really helpful with directions and places to visit in Lyon. The metro is walkable in 7 mins, with easy direct trains into Lyon in 15/20 mins. Would definitely stay here again!

We picked this hotel on short notice. The hotel is spacious and very clean. It has limited amenities, and there is not much to do in the neighborhood. But still, for the price, cleanliness, comfort, and location it can't be beaten

Great for those with Cars

The people were kind, the room was comfortable and a great size. We stayed here for two nights and I was glad this was the room as some others we stayed in were small. This had room to move around and was located close enough to have food delivered late at night.The only tricky bit was that parking is a 5 Euro charge, but there's a free parking area just beside the hotel that it isn't associated with. The convenience to the metro was very important to our stay. I highly recommend it if you are traveling with a car and want to avoid the small city roads and traffic.

I chose this hotel because it's located near the tram that goes to Eurexpo, as my company was exhibiting at a show there. I'd say the hotel felt rather dated and not like a 4 star place. There is not much in the surrounding area, but you have a nice little brassiere in walking distance. Staff was nice and helpful, but I probably would not return for that price.

Reception was normal.
Room is more like a flat.
It has sink, refrigerator, oven and dishes.
Bathroom was clean. But the shower didn’t drain properly.
Bed was not so clean.
If you get a room in corridor B then you will have a train line almost going through your bed.
Parking around is possible for free.
There is a supermarket next to the hotel working 24:7.
Easy access to the city center.

The staff were very pleasant, hospitable, and very helpful. The hotel is not in the city center, but it is situated near both tram and underground stops, making travel throughout the city easy. The breakfast was extensive and good. The apartment we had was clean, in working order, and spacious. The laundry facilities were very helpful to us during our 2 week trip abroad. The hotel is an extended stay type hotel and as such, has some self service elements. We enjoyed having kitchen facilities and a dining area in our apartment. I would recommend this hotel.

Basic but functional room/suite. However, the bad news: we suspect that the sofa sleeper had bedbugs.

Great staff let down by operations and ownership

Place needs a refurb but it’s adequate.
I Stayed one night and it was fine but there was no water in the hotel on the morning I checked out. I called reception and they said it was a problem throughout the hotel. I wouldn’t stay her again because I couldn’t shower and had to shave and brush my teeth with bottled water supplied by reception. I stay in 40 - 50 hotels per year and this has never happened. I felt sorry for the staff but lack of water is a massive issue.can’t risk this hotel again as I need to shower and shave before I meet a customer. Staff were superb and did their best but with me it’s one strike and you’re out!

This is definitely no 4 star hotel. Every where strange informations like: you have only 100L in bathroom - like in home. You have to clean dishes otherwise you will be charged additional fee. It should not happed in 4 star property. A lot of dust - it was hard to breath... We traveling a lot but something like this never seen.

Decently configured, good value-for-money option for . No frills, no fuss, but clean good standard facilities - quite pleased. Good check-in and check-out time window.

Location is also quite good, fairly quick to get in by road, and yet close to metro station, to get to city centre.

Would I stay again? Definitely!

Dirty room with no privacy. The only window looked directly into another room. Our room also had cobwebs and greasy stains on the walls. The hotel staff was frequently unavailable...the front desk clerk would be away from the desk for up to 10-15 minutes at a time. Also, the hotel location is not great. There is a lot of construction in the area, so the hotel is difficult to access by car, since many roads are blocked. Parking is also very limited. All in all, the hotel was so bad my wife and I had to check out early. We asked the hotel to credit us back for the unused part of our reservation, but they refused. Expedia lists this hotel as a 4-Star hotel, which is incredibly misleading. This hotel is, at best, a 2-Star hotel.

Recommend, short or long stay.

Tricky to find as it is not located on the main street, and there are no signs directing you towards it. There is limited free parking outside the hotel, this was safe and secure. 24 hour reception is very handy and check-in was easy and smooth with friendly attention. Room was small but modern and clean with all amenities that you would wish for, including towels and soaps. Warm and comfortable furnishings and access to English speaking news channels on TV. Near to tram and metro system and both stops nearby took a card when getting tickets. Easy access to all tourist sites, and avoided congestion of driving in a large city.

The hotel is ideally situated very close to the metro (yes there is a metro in Lyon). I would say overall it's far from a 4* hotel, meaning the conditions are 3*, but it's a clean hotel and if you weren't planning on a luxury stay, it's a very good choice. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and gave us all the details we needed regarding the city and the attractions. It's also very handy that they have a parking included, but also a possibility to park underground for 5e/night. As a small detail, the TV had more channels here than in a 4* boutique hotel in Marseille. Breakfast is not included with the room and it's a bit expensive, but if you travel by car it's a very good choice.

Great value stay as a base for Lyon

Great value hotel with modern clean rooms in a decent area. Our priority was somewhere with parking that we could use as a base to visit Lyon. Although not central, the hotel was only 5 mins walk to the tram which takes you to the city center in 15 mins for less than 2 euros. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and recommended since there's very few other options locally.

A very nice hotel

We stayed there for three nights during a conference, as it was very close to our conference venue. The room is clean and big, rather than a normal standard double room, we had a suite with separate living room. There is a small kitchen with fridge and all utensils, which is very handy. The staff are very professional and helpful. The breakfast is very good too. There are not many restaurants or sightseeings nearby, but it is close to both the metro and tram stations.

A little \"out of town\" so not much in the immediate vicinity, but proximity to very good metro makes up for it and of course, helps keep the price down!
Good, spacious accommodation - just a couple of little niggles - poor shower; bath plug which didn't really work - but overall, yes, we'd quite happily use this accommodation again.

Terrific base for value for money stay in Lyon

Great value for money, comfortable, welcoming staff, quiet, good sized rooms, basic but useful kitchenette, easy parking. Easy to find off the inner ring road, then we left the car alone and used the excellent and cheap metro and trams nearby. Good bio health shop just down the road. Bistro opposite, though we ate in the city centre (or cooked for ourselves).

Overnight Stay in Lyon

We stayed at this hotel whilst driving back to England from the south of Francel, intending to do a bit of sightseeing around Lyon. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the actual building was well presented, with clean, comforatble rooms. Breakfast was disappointing, as it was quite expensive for a relatively narrow range of foods and drinks on offer. The location of the hotel was outside of the city centre, but helpfully had a metro stop five minutes walk away which was very useful for getting into the centre of the city quickly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I booked two rooms for my family. They sent us to a room that was already occupied with another family. They had no knowledge of the double booking at reception and weren't apologetic.

The rooms themselves were strange. I scalded my hands in the bathroom sink as the water was heated by a massive industrial sized boiler.

I chose this hotel because I wanted somewhere in Lyon with parking. But Central Lyon it turns out has plenty of reasonably priced parking. And from other reviews it looks like Lyon City centre has lots of lovely hotels.

So avoid this one.

This is an apartment type hotel with suites that are comfortable and spacious. It is about 10 minutes away from the center of Lyon and is easily accessible by metro and tram. It is good value for money especially if traveling with kids. Hotel rooms in downtown Lyon tend be small.

Good Location if going to Eurexpo

We were watching an event at the Eurexpo and the ease of getting there and back was fantastic. You just take the T5 tram there which is located a block or so from the hotel. It took us a little more effort and time to figure out the best way to get into town but again pretty easy once you figure it out. The hotel was clean but the rooms were a tiny bit dingy (old carpet etc. ) The bed was comfortable and the staff was fairly friendly and spoke a fair amount of english. There is breakfast but it comes at a price as does simple amenities such as coffee. I would have at least liked to see complimentary coffee.

OK if you are just looking for a room for a night

With the 4 star Hotel.com rating I was expecting a bit more. The room was clean but there were stains on the carpet. Also it was difficult to get the room to cool down. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows too firm. Like the free parking onsite and how close it was to a metro stop.

A reasonably priced and well equipped hotel

Bioparc gives me the impression of a dorm room with a small kitchen area. The place is decently furnished and relatively clean. I mean, don't expect 4 or 5 star like place for this price but I personally think it is a very good hotel for the price. We consider it just because of the free parking so location wise, it is a bit off the downtown area. However, the subways station is about a 5 minute walk so it is convenient. The only compliant I had is if they had a shortcut to the subway station, the walk would be more like 1 minute. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Located near the main hospital, it was quite difficult to find the entrance at first to the hotel at first. Outdoor parking is free and underground parking will cost you 5 euros a night. The carpark has a security guard there 24 hours a day.

Stayed there for 2 nights, the room was modern, clean and simple with a mini kitchenette which came in handy for storing food. The bed was nice and supportive, great after a full day's tour of the city. Hotel is located about 15mins by Metro from the city centre 'Hotel De Ville' station.

Friendly staff that spoke very good english. Highly recommend this place if you are on a budget and want something simple and comfortable.

Not a good hotel. The \"kitchen\" is not vert well equiped and sorted. Many things in the kitchen dirty. Not possiblw to stand and urinate in the toilet due to a big box above. Breakfeast quite poor. Only wireless internet in reception that is very slow.
People working in hotel very nice and friendly.
Hotel is in middle of nowhere.

More of Budget LT Stay Than Travel

This is an apartment hotel with small rooms in a nondescript urban setting. The location is nestled among an office and hospital/medical building complex and has no retail or attractions within less than about a 20 minute walk. Staff was generally helpful, especially the breakfast attendant, space was generally clean except sheets had not been cleaned on sleeper sofa - gross! Breakfast was good. Suitable for 1 or two people for an extended stay, but would not really recommend for family travel stopover.

I used this hotel to overnight in Lyon, as I a driving from Paris to Canet ( in the south of France).

I cannot complain too much about the hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. However I found the bed uncomfortable.

The hotel is not located near the town center, so it is a reasonable price for accommodations if you have a mode of transportation. There is not a lot to see in the vicinity of this hotel, but it was quiet and satisfactory.

Very good appart'hotel

The hotel was very clean and confortable. It was built quite recently so you may not find it on some GPS maps, but the access street is located right at the intersection of Avenue Rockefeller with Cours Eugénie.
It is located in a quiet area, away from the main street. Parking is also available.
Although we didn't use it, the hotel appears to be quite close to Laennec metro station that goes straight to the town center.
Internet access in the rooms requires a cable that you can get for free from the front desk. Wireless Internet is available in the hotel lobby.
The toilet and the bathroom are separate and while it is a plus for larger families, it can also be inconvenient.

Maybe out of the way a bit..

The Biopark is a collection of Scientific companies who have regular visitors, hence the Hotel. It is a tram journey into Lyon, Simple, Clean and safe. In fact I advise all my friends to visit this wonderful city and buy a travel ticket on the public transport system. I think it was € 6.20 last time I bought one. Lasts 24hrs and works on buses, Trams and Metro.

Not much in the way of Walk able evening eateries. Though I did find two. 1 is a mile east, The other 1.3 miles west.

Odalys Bioparc Lyon - a great 'apartment' option

This hotel was easy to reach by car and provided free parking. Access to the city via either subway or tram was easy and the ability to prepare our own meals was a pleasant change after 6 weeks of staying in hotels where this was not an option.

decent hotel but way too far from train station...

Decent place to lay your head for the night. Its an environmentally conscious hotel and a brand new facility. Location wise it was pretty bad. More of and industrial area and almost an hour and a half walk from the train station. we didn't realize this as it said on google maps that it was less than 40 min. You can take the bus there but we were backpacking and on a budget. We did take the subway the next morning back to the station. there is a tube station about a 15 min. walk from the hotel but not super easy to find.

I can't recommend this hotel based on our experience. Nothing wrong with it, Very basic and clean. It was just too far away from everything, the Old City included.

Very good value

A very comfortable and well-situated hotel in a pleasant and quiet area and only 10 minutes on the excellent metro or tramway system from the city centre.
Our apartment was very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind being a little out of the city centre.

Nice, modern building; issues with environmental controls.

Everything was great. A very \"green\" hotel that makes efforts to save electricity. Accomodating for our dog. Some green areas to take for a quick walk, but nothing in terms of great park to let her off leash to throw a toy; but good enough for bathroom and stretch of her legs. One thing is that the environmental controls didn't really seem to work. It was unusually warm in Lyon that weekend and despite turning the thermostat down to 19C, the room never seemed to cool off. Also, in order to activate the electricity in the room you put the key into a slot. You need to take the key out when you leave so the lights, etc, turn off. Might be an issue if you have a pet and don't want to leave them in the dark. Close to metro/tram stops and major highways.

Brand New Money-value hotel in Lyon

The hotel was unexpectedly good for my family. It offered free internet, free breakfast, and free parking in the complex. It is a secure and silent place about 10-15 minutes drive from city center. It seems far, but in fact it is on the straight way from the city center, enabling clients to find it easily The receptionist was so kind and helpful.
