4 night stay in Lyon. Hotel is located beside Westfield shopping centre and a short distance from the main train station. The hotel itself was clean, but the carpets in the corridor leading to the rooms could do with replacing as they are heavily marked and looked dirty. The bar was okay, great view across Lyon from the 38th floor room

House keeping was abysmal.Hall carpets were never vacuumed during our 5 day stay.The shower had little shield so the floor was always wet .Dirty cups were never taken from the room.Downstairs check in staff were helpful and pleasant as were breakfast staff.

As communicated on check-in, this was the first time I arrived at a hotel early (12:30 p.m.) and rooms were available but would have had to pay €40 for that…not sure what extra cleaning would have been needed. Waited until 3:00 p.m. and waited in a long line up since many people had to wait, and check-in process was extremely slow (could have been avoided by checking in earlier). There was a pervasive chemical smell in the halls and entry to suite. Suite was surprisingly small for the price but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a nice view.

Aucun sourire, si on pose des questions, les réponses sont évasives en regardant l'écran d'ordinateur. J'ai posé la même questions à trois personnes différentes sans avoir de réponse.
Je n'ai pas été capable d'avoir mon reçu lors du check-out, on me dit que je le recevrai pas courriel au cours des prochaines semaines. Impossible de valider les frais sur place. Impossible de voir si le montant de sécurité 50 euro a été enlevé.
L'approche clientèle serait à revoir alors que plusieurs établissement se souci de l'expérience de voyage, ce qui n'est pas le cas au Radisson Blu.

Not great, especially considering high price. Two elevator rides are needed to get to the room as lobby is on the 32 floor. Carpet is dirty and should be replaced, room was not very clean. There was no coffee maker in the room although it was included in the description. When I asked turned out that only “premium” rooms have them. Again considering price above 360 usd per night I would expect more. The nice thing was a panoramic view. I would not stay there again.

The shower is dangerous, there was no mat on the floor and it was do slippery we nearly fell. We used a hand towel on the shower floor. There were 2 partial rolls of bathroom tissue, no facial tissue, and no facecloths/ washcloths.

This is a good property with excellent accomodations. Great view from the room, clean bathroom, good beds. The area where it is located, however, is not great. It is far from the old town and the main touristic attractions, and it looks a bit like taken from the Blade Runner movies (= futuristic dystopia). The area has a whiff of La Defense in Paris, which is not exactly a praise in my view. Parking is free, but access to it from the hotel is inconvenient. Overall, I was fine and slept well, but it would have been a bit unpleasant for a long stay.

If you value for safety and belongings DO NOT stay at this hotel. I had a pair of brand new sunglasses stolen inside this hotel, from my suitcase. It was either at reception or someone entered my room when I was out.

When I went to report this they told me they would check cameras and key logs. They have checked them already but claim nobody entered my room.

The person in charge also mentioned twice, that maybe another guest or person could have entered my room to steal them. This raises all sorts of alarms about the safety of this hotel. If anyone, not just hotel staff, could just enter the room, then how could I feel safe leaving to sightsee?

The most they could compensate me with was points for a free night stay, but I wouldn't stay again. (The glasses were €370)

I wanted to file a police report and they told me I had to go directly to the office. They knew this because there had been a robbery of a bag on the restaurant earlier.

Apparently they have frequent issues with their air condition, we had to change rooms once because the first room we got, the AC wasn't working.

We then had to change rooms one more time because the second room had a very foul smell (something between humidity and vinegar).

The third room also smelled kind of weird but it was tolerable.

The shower doesn't have a door so the water spills out easily.

The pillows were good, firm and the sheets felt nice as well.

Most of the staff is kind, welcoming and helpful.

Every young lady at the front desk was warm, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The men mostly acted like I was inconveniencing them (I had only 1 positive interaction with the men).

However, I will return to this property because the foyer is huge, bright, and airy—unlike anything anywhere except Las Vegas. The room was spacious by French city standards, clean, bright, and with a truly unbeatable view. It was an oasis but so conveniently located directly in front of the tram and an uber was always only 4 minutes away. I stayed in the room a great deal because I was tired of the city and THOROUGHLY enjoyed the room. I’m returning for sure!

Interesting, thanks the reception desk is on the 32nd floor and our room on the 38th floor. That requires two separate elevators but you do have a spectacular view. Our booking entitled us to a free drink. We went to the bar where we were told that only included wine and no cocktails. Kind of cheap I’d say considering you could walk down the block and get an Aperol Spritz for €6! And we probably would have bought 2 or 3 more but instead we drank our small glass of wine and left the bar.

HOTEL SOLD MY PRE-PAID IN ADVANCE ROOM AND CLAIMED IT WAS NOW FULL!

I had prepaid a twin bed hotel room over a month in advance. Was disgusted to find when arriving at 10pm that night that they had sold my room and the hotel was 'full'.

Complete lack of ownership from the hotel and couldn't explain why they had sold my already paid-for room. Offered me a taxi and another hotel 15 mins away by car. I asked for the manager and told they weren't available.

Only by standing my ground and insisting on a solution did they eventually call the manager. He simply confirmed the hotel was full and couldn't explain why my room had been sold. I told them this was their issue to solve.

After a few minutes following this call, miraculously a room was then found in the 'full' hotel for us to check in. There was a greeting card pre-written in this room for another guest so clearly this was being kept for another guest or the next day.

Horrible experience and not what I expect from a Radisson or being an Expedia VIP customer for many years.

Had I not held my ground under considerable pressure, we would have ended up nowhere near where we needed to be for the short visit to Lyon.

Check in is on floor 32. We were greeted by wonderful knowledgeable staff and our room was on the 37th floor. The room was a great size and absolutely spotless. The bathroom was perfect with everything you need. The hotel is in a good position for shopping, however transport is difficult due to the construction works. If I have one negative then it's the heat in the room which is far too hot. We will definitely be back that's for sure.

We had a junior king suite and the brown carpet looked gross and the smell in the room was off.
Only 1 bath towel for the two of us. After some rummaging and finally finding the cupboard , we found 2 bath robes so it became my towel

If you didn't put the lid down on the toilet before flushing you got sprayed

All in all not at all impressed with this very expensive hotel

This hotel is located within steps of the Lyon Part Due train station and the Westfield mall. It is an easy mile walk to old town. The lobby and check in is on the 32 floor, and the rooms go up from there. I don’t know if that caused the noise to carry or if it was just extra loud. Several times large groups were in the lobby chatting, and there was some kind of event with a loud DJ and lots of cheering.

The parking situation is so strange and requires you to walk through one of the most unsanitary parking garages I’ve ever encountered. The room is pretty beat up. I had a good quiet room with great views. The room however did not get below 24 for whole stay despite aircon being on maximum. It was however heatwave conditions. There are not enough staff on reception so expect delays checking in or coming down to address an issue. Staff were great when you could get to them. The food at the restaurant was not great. There are plenty of other food options nearby. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Lyon.

In such a big hotel that starts from floor 32 ! Room and bathroom really nice bed super comfy -- a couple of English TV channels - great views as the hotel is on the top 7 or 8 floors of a 40 story building - easy 10 min walk to the train station and also the shuttle tram to the airport - MUCH cheaper than a cab - buffet breakfast fine - bar and dining room perfectly OK but limited selections - a huge shopping mall is steps away - other than this a bit out of the way from attractions and the rivers

Some of the staff appeared uninformed of customer service, for example complained about is not using the laundry bags for our laundry when none was provided, would not extend our trip at the front desk asked us to go thru Expedia and then locked us out of our room, then gave us dirty towels when we requested clean ones, we requested twin beds and when they didn’t we were told to slept all our luggage back down and get a new key.

When I checked in at 2.15pm I was as told I was too early but he he would check and my room was available not very welcoming.
The room was very hot and the air conditioning didn’t make the room any cooler it just stayed at 26 degrees far too hot!
The shower in the bathroom also flooded the bathroom floor everything it was used.

Nice hotel. Contemporary design with rooms arranged around an atrium. Lobby and rooms on the upper floors of a mixed use building. Overall a positive hotel experience.

One significant exception - the neighbourhood. It’s a short distance from the main Lyon train station and even on a Sunday you can easily walk to the hotel through the large shopping mall next door. A few steps past the hotel entrance and you begin to feel uncomfortable very quickly -especially after dark. And do NOT take the underground passage to the trains - even during the day the place is creepy.

So, if you can work around the drawbacks of location, it’s a very nice hotel at a reasonable price point.

Make sure to walk through the mall if your are heading from the train station (do not follow google maps directions). Lack of direction tips from the hotel (although the hotel sent multiple emails to upgrade rooms or pay for some extra decorations/amenities for the room).
The view from the room is nice (reception is on the 32nd floor). Located beside a mall, but the entrance is not too welcoming or safe. The staffs were not too welcoming & they didn’t set up the key properly, so we had trouble getting into our room. The shower is not designed well (very slippery & the floor would get soaking wet after a shower). Very noisy room (not too soundproof) so you can heard neighbouring rooms & also the reception as all the noise echos up.
Note: there is no housekeeping after 10pm as the housekeeping staffs have left, so you cannot request for extra towels or toiletry at night. They said they would bring it up to us in the morning, but never did, so we had to go down to request for it again the next day.

This hotel is terribly inconvenient to get to if you are arriving by car. Nothing on their website tells you that you have to drive through bus lanes and along trolley tracks that read "Do not enter" to motorists in order to get there. Once we were finally "talked in" over the phone by a hotel employee, the parking situation was a nightmare. It was in a disconnected underground garage that required us lugging our bags up and down stairs to get to the hotel. Parking fees were exorbitant. The entry to the hotel smelled like urine. We watched a woman get her phone stolen out of her hands by a pickpocket a block from the hotel. The rooms were TINY. Upon checkout, we asked for the parking fee to be charged to the room, so we paid the fee at checkout. The clerk forgot to give us an exit ticket for the garage, so we when tried to leave, we could not get out. We ended up just paying another $25 at the exit gate just to leave because we didn't want to repark and walk all the way back to the hotel and up to the 23rd floor lobby again. We just wanted to be done. Very frustrating stay.

The Hotel is impossible to access by road due to work being carried out at the Station. Spent over two hours trying to reach it by car following the directions given and Waze, Apple, Google etc. The help desk was closed for the weekend. Ended up having to book the Sofitel. Complained and they refused a refund.
