The receptionist who welcomed us was really kind but the following morning I walked the dog and when I returned I had to use a code to get in,which I was not made aware, buzzed three times and the female receptionist was at the desk ignoring the buzzer. The room was ok, bathroom looked a bit dirty. The location was close to the river and really enjoyed the walk with the dog

Great hotel with a wonderful upgrade. Very convenient, great bed and linens and great shower. This was at the end of a cycling trip and they helped us with our bikes and arranging a hotel to the airport that would fit our boxed bikes. Close to old town and many restaurants.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very modern and clean. The shower was clogged when I first arrived and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. They said they would have their technician look at it but it never cooled the room down properly. After sweating in bed for hours unable to sleep I finally went downstairs and they provided me with a fan. I specifically chose this hotel because it had air conditioning. As I was leaving I found that the air conditioning unit had been leaking water all over the floor. For the price I paid to stay there for 3 nights I feel pretty taken advantage of to say the least.

A few small changes would make a better stay. There is no soap except what is attached in the shower for multi-purpose hair care. The shower floor was so slick when wet that we used a hand towel on the floor to prevent an accident. There is no safety bar in the shower. No Netflix.

It is summer already…

Location is good, close to river and walking distance to good restaurants. Room was clean and spacious, shower was hot and strong enough. Staff were professional and friendly, I had left my wallet behind after I checked out and the staff assisted me swiftly and were very helpful and professional. I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Booked this hotel due to it having parking so read the small print on the last page of terms.
It was 26 degrees but as it was “winter” the air con wasn’t switched on and only did hot air. I was told to leave the window open in a busy town.
We had no sleep as it was boiling.
The breakfast was good and the lady that served us was brilliant

Great reception and location but very dated.

This is a tiny hotel (few rooms) that makes a v-corner. It is well situated, 1 block away from the river and in a fairly quiet area. This is good because the walls and windows are fairly thin and you can easily hear what your neighbours are saying. My room was just outside the slow elevator so I was worried but the bathroom was closed off with a vestibule and no noise carried from my front door. The bed was comfortable and all required was there. However, everything in the room was old (not dated but well used). Holes in the curtain and bed cover, sheets with fuzz, etc. While all smelled clean, there were hairs in the shower and in the bed. Long story, I did not expect this from a BW at this price range. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it. The reception staff were excellent, it was well located, and all seemed clean are the only positive comments I can make.

Great base point for exploring Lyon as it near the Tram 1 at Liberté, Metro D at Guillotière Gabriel Péri, and various bus lines. It is also very walkable to neighboring districts. Breakfast is very basic and needs a little work - they need to do something about the flies near the buffet table. The reception and maid staff are five-star: very nice and will help you with anything. I would stay again.

Amazing spot within the city, clean, and had just about everything I needed. Once the staff showed up at the front desk after 15 minutes (this is why I have service a lower score), they were very helpful and pleasant to speak with. My only suggestion would be for the staff to have a bell or some other way to notify them of a guest's arrival when the staff has to step away.

Old, uncomfortable hotel, hard to find in a bad, dirty part of town with graffitied walls all around. One elevator for seven floors of rooms. Everyone in our party complained about the hot rooms and sorry excuse for what is advertised as \"air conditioning\" (let alone \"four-star hotel\"). Mild temperatures (low twenties C/mid-seventies F) shouldn't mean that every room in the hotel turns into an oven. Fix your air conditioning! Worst night of sleep in years.

The hotel is going through some renovations, it starts with the elevator which looked awfull, covered with protection and duct tape all over it.
But... once you get into the room you quickly forget about it...
The room is freshly renovated, it is really comfortable, clean and have a great bed and sheeting.
Super quiet, spacious compare to regular european standard, had a great stay.
And the hotel is well located just close by the Rhone river and a few minutes walk to Lyon presqu’ile

Strict check-in policy disappointing; even at 10 minutes before 3.00pm we could not get the room key (not available til 3!!). Clearly rooms are available as people check out early, (they came to clean our room at 9.30am on our first day despite we were staying for 3 days and the check out time is not til11.00am anyway).
The location is close to the river, tram and metro but not in the best part of town - scruffy and noisy. Rooms were OK but somewhat tired; a refurbishment was starting as we were leaving so may improve; note the signs indicated refurbishment start on Monday but we could not get access to the lifts on Sunday as they had already started! In summary disappointing

A Pleasant Stay at Hotel du Pont Wilson

The hotel staff were all really pleasant, especially David the receptionist who spoke perfect English. He was so helpful and asked us where we came from, which I explained to him. He seemed really pleased to help us with any questions and gave us good directions to a local restaurant. I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend or family member however because the beds were so hard and not very comfortable. I think if they could replace their beds then I would have given a 5/5 rating.

It was a good stay, it´s walking distance to major attractions, close to public transportation. I was really shocked when we go into the room and on ceiling close to the window it was full of mold and the room was smelling bad. As it was late at night, I only complained on the following day and they cleaned it, but for me it was unacceptable that in a 4 star hotel this would happen.

All the staff were just so incredibly friendly and helpful! And I mean everybody from front desk to the housekeeping.
The hotel location is perfect, a short 5 minute walk to all the beautiful shopping and so.much more.
The rates are very fair given you get a big super comfy bed and a relatively big room.
I would absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone.
