Very clean and quiet hotel. Located within walking distance to the city centre or just two stops with the metro. Breakfast was very good quality and included the essentials.
Important to note that the hotel takes 30 EUR daily deposit during your stay. They charge your card and then reimburse when checking out.
Overall I would recommend the hotel for a short stay in central Lyon.

Not very good signage on arrival. Hotel was ok but pricey as it was NYE. Rooms very basic and small.
20 mins walk to the centre. Stayed in Antwerp 2 nights prior and hotel was at least 30% cheaper, very modern, clean, comfy and right in the centre.

It is RIGHT BESIDE Brasserie Georges so if you're in Lyon to eat (which we were), this is the hotel for you! We had dinner next door on 3 of our nights because the food was so delicious and the service was so nice. The hotel itself was very clean with helpful staff and we loved their water refill station which we used quite a lot on the way out for walks around town and just before bed. It is not far from Place Belacour and it's right next to a major train station so transportation from there is no problem.

Unfortunate Ant Infestation

When we arrived, we were first incredibly excited about the location, size of the room (Suite) & the friendliness of the staff. However, when we returned home from dinner, we found a colony of ants in our room, around the walls behind the mirror and desk. We immediately tried to kill as many as possible, & went to the front desk to see if we could change rooms. The night staff at first would not believe we had ants, and immediately blamed us for leaving the window open (but we were on the sixth floor, & they would later agree that the window likely was not the issue). He only believed us when we showed ants in the trash, but told us it isn't a problem because ants are not dangerous. We had to spend the night in the room, hopeful that the ants would not get into our beds or luggage. The second day, we woke up to more ants, & when we spoke to the staff in the morning, they were immediately much nicer & sent someone up immediately to take a look. They agreed that they needed to take care of this immediately, and that they would switch rooms for us. When they switched our rooms, they moved us next door to our original room, and this time the ants were on the bed and nightstand. So, we ended up needing to move back to the first room we were in, where we still found ants, but in the living room area. The next day they had to get rid of those ants.

The Manager & Cleaning Lady were very polite, but this was a lot to pay for a room that was infested with ants for half of our stay.

Good hotel, reasonably priced in convenient location just a short walk to main tourist areas. Across street from a metro. Easy to find if driving into Lyon. Reading the reviews there were some complaints about parking but I found it pretty easy, literally across the street. No issue at all and front desk will let you pay for the parking when you check out so that you dont need to do it when you drive out.

Our first time at an IBIS hotel, we visited Lyon for the Rugby World Cup. The hotel is conveniently located at the beginning of the Metro line that takes you to the stadium, so you can get a seat on match days. The breakfast is excellent but expensive. Just have a walk around and find yourself a patisserie. Lyon is a beautiful city blessed with excellent public transport and lots of good eating.

Not a great location. We arrived later at night and my husband had to walk through a homeless encampment after he parked the car quite far away. There is a strange window into the bathroom so not a lot of privacy.

Great hotel with friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you. Breakfast was really good and at a good price. Central to main shopping areas as well as bars and restaurants. The area by the station is a little off putting. Best way into town is turn left out hitel and then take walkway by car no-entry sign as shown in picture.

Lovely hotel. Very quiet. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only gripe was that I ended up with a bathtub when I strongly prefer a shower stall but I don't lnow if that was an option since I never actually asked.

Service is good friendly staffs speaks english. But the bed is very uncomfortable, it sunked in the middle and very worn out. Bathroom is clean and big size. I'd choose the next door hotel victoria perrache as we stayed there for 2 nights their bed is so much more comfy. Just the toilet size is different

Visited Lyon for 4 nights and used this hotel as a base to explore the city. It is a cheaper mid-range hotel and we found it fitted the bill perfectly. Large and clean room and bathroom with good shower. The reception staff were unfailingly helpful. The hotel is very well located. My tip would be to take 15 mins or so to orientate yourself when you arrive. To walk to anywhere going northwards from the hotel we cut through Perrache station as otherwise you would have to walk through a dark underpass. Public transport in the city we found to be excellent, fast, and reliable. We purchased the Lyon City Card and made full use of the 'free' public transport and free access to museums and attractions throughout this interesting and engaging city that are included on the card. The Lyon City Cards were an excellent investment for us.

This is a nice, clean, recently renovated hotel in a great, central location for walking. We found it a bit hard to get to by car, but once we'd parked it was okay. The area felt a bit gritty to begin with, between the elevated highway, parkade and train station, but it began to feel very livable right away. For the price, this hotel is great value.

Great hotel - well located centrally and right next to a metro station. easy to travel to nearby tourist attractions on foot, take the metro to Vieux Lyon and other sights nearby, and travel anywhere else in the city (e.g. to the Congres for a conference). The price was fantastic for the location, and while the room is on the smaller side, it contains everything you'd need and in a clean and polite hotel. Food nearby. Would recommend!

The surrounding area has a more downtown feel, especially at night, but this solo traveller felt safe nonetheless given the crowds in the area with many other hotels and restaurants right nearby. A great stay!

It’s a bit difficult to locate this hotel to begin with, suppose one is not familiar of the area, in fact it is directly across the train station Perrache. Not much of eatery around so prepare or one can go to next door to dine at Bière George, good food & very popular with locals & tourists as well. A short walk for 15 minutes or so to the town center.
Staffs at this hotel are very friendly & helpful, we appreciate Lea for her advice & help🙂

Very good location with access to the Lyon station just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast is until 12:00 but after 10:00, the buffet is taken away. You can then ask staff for drinks and fruits, etc that they kindly bring back from the kitchen. Room are quite small and basic but the bed is comfortable. Staff at reception was very friendly and helpful! Thank you and keep it up!

The hotel is located near Parrache station, the area is a bit rough, a bit dirty, and more suited to a budget working trip than a holiday. Being an iBis, the hotel is well managed, clean and reliably OK. The breakfast was basic but tasty and fresh.

The hotel is literally minutes away from the train station. It couldn't be easier to access. The lobby is beautiful, design and the staff very friendly.
The rooms are not as nice as the rest of the venue but they are clean and in good condition. We had a problem with the shower leaking and got a new room in 5 minutes.
The breakfast is classic and the room a bit overcrowded but you have the option to take it to the lounge which is way nicer.
If you want to leave the hotel, you have buses, subway and tramway on the other side of the street and you can walk to the center in less tan 15 minutes

Up to Ibis standards. As the Brits say, these chain budget hotels are “cheap and cheery.” Rooms are clean with two pillows and two bath towels. Plenty of hot water and the sheets are clean. Staff is friendly and efficient. The location is great for access into, out of, and all around Lyon, but otherwise is problematic for dining, shopping, and after-dinner strolls. The adjacent Georges eatery is convenient, but we had better dining below the Basilica in Vieux-Lyon. Overall, a fine place to stay near the train station for a couple of nights.

Good hotel, nice and friendly, helpful people on front desk. Great selection for breakfast. Room is very comfortable and clean. Only NO: hotel provides just 2 bath towels and only liquid soap and toilet paper (you need to have your own bar soap, tissue paper, shower cap...). No coffee maker or kettle in the room. Wi-Fi was very good. Hotel locate near train station, 15-20 min walk to the center plaza where you can find the Tourists office and bus tours.

The hotel is well located in Perrache close to the terminus of the Metro A line and close to where the cruise boats are parked.

Plenty of space in junior suite

We chose to stay here because they offered a junior suite at a reasonable price. So many other hotels in the area have tiny rooms, but this one had plenty of space, both in the bedroom and the bathroom. Its location allowed us to walk to the old town area, which was convenient. The staff were very nice. The room itself was fairly basic - nothing special, but nothing bad. The bed was firm but comfortable. The air conditioning didn't seem to be cooling the room, but we were able to open the window to get fresh air. The free wifi worked fine. Overall, this was a good choice for our stay in Lyon

Very good hotel in a very convenient location. Only one issue - over the first night the water in the toilet was constantly running and it was quite loud. However, this appeared to be noticed by housekeeping staff and was fixed the next day before I came back to the hotel in the evening.

This hotel is in the perfect position for visiting all important venues either by foot or by public transport It is a lovely old building renovated with modern furnishings not to everyones taste but the room sizes are huge especially if you book a superior room facing the front You will also gain a Juliette balcony with table and chairs
The beds are extremely comfortable and bathroom and toilet separate
The breakfasts are good value compared to others in Lyon and perfectly adequate
When you consider the changing tariffs by booking direct and keeping an eye on the tariffs it is possible to get a very good value break here
