The location was perfect for crossing the bridges over the Rhône and to dine out. It was just a 20-minute walk to the funicular to ride up to the Notre-Dame de Fourvière Cathedral for a view of Lyon and to see the Roman ruins. The bed was big and super comfortable. Great place to relax.

The room was not done after the first day and I was not awarded that I have to ask for it on 18th morning.
First day I took my breakfast normally, second day I was asked to bring a ticket from the front desk. I was not awarded that I would need a ticket for the breakfast!
Very poor prior communication, poor staff training !

To be honest, we didn’t stay here. We walked out. Photos somewhat misleading, room small and lacking facilities. Inconvenient steps between elevator and room, dark corridors. A little depressing. Old style, neither cute retro nor contemporary. Very adequate for a one night stay but Lyon deserves more than a night. If cost is more important than value for you, then this is your place. Staff were helpful and understanding. Location reasonable for the price.

The bed had a lot of edges. We reported it to the front desk, and they told us they were \"fireproof.\" We asked the cleaner to put another blanket under the bedspreads, but they DID NOT. We traveled for 30 days in different hotels, and this was the worst bed.

The hotel itself was good. Nice staff, clean, breakfast was decent. The area around the hotel is absolutely awful. DO NOT stay here if you have children or are a solo female traveller. There are loads of men loitering, not families, FULL GROWN MEN. The area is unclean. There are men trying to sell you stuff. Thankfully a metro is near by that can take you away from it all but i cant recommend this hotel soley based on the area

Quartiere nei dintorni poco sicuro e mal frequentato.
Asciuga capelli in camera rotto e non sostituito in alcun modo (sono rimasto con i capelli bagnati poiché dopo aver segnalato il guasto non sono stato munito nemmeno di un altro sostituitivo)

The property was very well located and the staff was very helpful. We had an issue with our A/C but they switched us to a different room to solve the problem.
Please be warned that even though there are elevators, there are still some stairs to get to the rooms.
Great location near the river and a few blocks from the old Lyon.

We chose this hotel for its affordable location, though slightly off-center, it was within walking distance of most attractions in Lyon. The room, though quaint and showing its age, met our basic needs. Unfortunately, the TV lacked streaming options like Netflix.

Safety concerns in the area were mentioned in reviews, but as three young women, we felt secure throughout our stay. Some perceptions seemed influenced by the diverse cultural presence near a nearby restaurant, which added character to the neighborhood.

The absence of on-site laundry facilities was inconvenient after two weeks of travel, but the concierge recommended a nearby service. A takeaway laundry option would have been appreciated to save time exploring Lyon.

Proximity to grocery stores, pharmacies, and quieter surroundings compared to touristy areas across the river were positives. The hotel also had a good bar, offered paid breakfast, and provided convenient luggage storage.

Early check-in wasn't possible, and staff English proficiency was limited. Requiring guests to tap their room key to use the elevator was a safety feature but prevented food delivery to rooms.

Over our four-day stay, room cleaning, towel exchanges, and additional toilet paper were only provided upon request, which was inconvenient.

Overall, while not luxurious, the hotel offered decent value. Despite its shortcomings, we would consider staying here again for its affordability and convenient amenities.

The hotel room was ok, very loud noises were heard all the time from other rooms, like water running or other bathrooms being flushed. After the elevator you still have to go up a small flight of stairs like 6 steps to get to your room, not convenient when carrying heavy luggage. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was adequate and it appeared clean.
Now, the hotel area is terrible, I would not recommend anyone to stay at this location, especially if traveling with family. Surroundings are dirty and sketchy, many men hanging around loitering and drinking on the streets around the hotel. Made us feel very unsafe.

Overall, a perfectly fine hotel. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. We enjoyed being able to use the bar/lounge area to play cards and get beverages for happy hour. I'd recommend having earplugs in case you need them as in our particular room, one could hear water going through the plumbing/pipes so people that came back late or got up early were somewhat noticeable. Not sure if that's common throughout all rooms, but was not noticeable once I put earplugs in.

Honestly, everything was fine but for the fact that my electric toothbrush just vanished from the bathroom.

I understand you can lose your wallet, keys, money, stuff that you take out of the room - but my $200 Phillips toothbrush was in the bathroom the whole time. And on the third morning I brushed my teeth. I left it on the bathroom counter. When we came back in the evening after the room was cleaned, the toothbrush was gone.

I don't know if it was taken or mistakenly thrown out, either way the staff was dismissive and did not help us at all.

Otherwise no complaints. Too bad the loss of my expensive toothbrush and lack of responsiveness from hotel staff soured our stay.

Jordin is the best!

Since the beginning of the stay, the staff was very polite. Jordin (at the front desk) was extremely kind. She took the time to translate when we needed (we do not speak French). We also had a Bolt ride arrive that did not match at all the app and she helped us to explain to the man arriving that it was not safe for us to get into his vehicle and it was wrong for him to arrive in a different car. She did not have to do any of this but was extremely helpful with her wonderful customer service skills. I would return to the hotel just to be able to thank her and thank any supervisors that oversee the front desk.

I requested a quiet room so they have us room 611, heading to the patio. Even when the air conditoned was off it was making a annoying noise every 30 minutes so I called reception but they did not have any other quiet room available. The first night no chance to sleep.
For the decond night they gave us room 411, this time air conditioned did not make noise but water was leaking from it, we even needed to turn off the tv, for safety.

Although something in the neighborhood made us feel a bit uncomfortable, the hotel is close to the major attractions, and the different types of transportation.
We arrived at the evening and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The Lobby was cozy, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the breakfast buffet was was rich.

The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful, it is worthy to mention they had warm smiles. However, I find the staff at the breakfast room a bit off-putting, lack of smile and the attitude a bit hostile, I felt not-so-friendly glances from a particular male staff there, in general, I don't feel very comfortable having breakfast there. There weren't many options around the neighbourhood, as I found not too many people have their breakfast in a restaurant in France...

The hotel is conveniently located, just 2 mins from the metro station, and just under 5 mins from a tram stop. You can also walk from the Presqu'île to the hotel. At night, it's not really safe to be around, there are drunk people outside the hotel (not guests apparently) and constant shouts from the same street the hotel is located...

Plastic cups are provided in the bathroom, paper cups are provided in the main room, could be in my opinion... but it is adequate for my stay..

One day, I left the hotel a bit late. The cleaning staff obviously didn't slip a note under my door or any notification at all, so I thought they would tidy up my room as well, turns out they didn't, I was disappointed, I didn't have clean towels...

Overall, it's an adequate stay. There are cafés and a McDonald's nearby, so not difficult to get food.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a limited budget, but overall hopefully it will get better.

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is located conveniently for getting to the old town. I expected basic but the room maintenance was unsatisfactory, especially for £110 per night: mould / stains in the corners around the bath, oil from the hinges running down the whole length of the door top to bottom, coffee cup marks on the surfaces, the plastic cover for the toilet seat hinges was cracked & fell off when the toilet lid was lifted bracket.

Not really the hotel's fault but the area around is just terrible. Rubbish everywhere on the street, it stinks of all kind of stuff and I am not sure if I wanted to go back to the hotel at night on my own. It's a shame because the hotel otherwise is OK, nothing out of the ordinary but does the job for one night. If you want something to eat other than kebab you'll have to walk a long way. Or take the metro.
Room was small but liveable, WIFI was OK and so was the breakfast.
But still I am not coming back to this hotel that is certain.
