The staff is kind, helpful and attentive. Any problem or inconvenience was addressed immediately. My room was clean and the housekeeper was always willing to do more for me.
I loved the location of the Hotel. It is within 5 minutes of a weekend Farmers Market. There were lots of shops, restaurants and French Grocery stores near by. Walking is easy with several pedestrian bridges available for crossing the river. I will happily return in the future..

The breakfast staff and housekeeping were first rate. But that's the only positive things I can say. This was supposedly a 3 star hotel but I would barely give it 2 stars. We booked what was called a \"prestige\" room but it was far from that. No wi-fi in the room and barely any cellular. I reported that after the 1st night of our 4 night stay but nothing was ever done about it. Most of the furniture in the room looked to be a century old and sourced from consignment stores. The \"artwork\" was a bizarre hodgepodge of things that didn't match. I cannot give a positive review for this place and will certainly never stay there again. And should the owner protest this review, we made sure to take lots of pictures to document our comments.

Nice local ingredients for breakfast. Lovely croissants and cheeses and yoghurt and pastries. Cook your own softboiled eggs! Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and bright.
Heating /ac system was tricky. Modern, clean bathroom. Nice are of town. Close to Bellecouer!!

What a gem in a very convenient area of Bellecour Cordeliers in between the Saône and Rhône rivers and a short 10 min walk to Vieux Lyon. We stayed for two nights as a family of four with younger children and found it extremely comfortable, clean, spacious and affordable. Great a/c during a very hot spot spell of highs in the mid to upper 90’s F (36 C). Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was simple and delicious. Highly recommend!!

Property was great. Amazing staff. Beautiful and comfortable bathrooms and quiet rooms. In a great area easy to walk everywhere. I got a smaller room than I booked and paid but did not notice till the end of my short stay. I did not try to obtain compensation so I can’t necessarily fault property.

The location was fantastic. The staff and proprietors that ran the hotel were very nice people and provided a wonderful breakfast which we highly recommend.

We were able to have our laundry done nicely folded, which was a great relief halfway through our trip. Leon was a beautiful city , highly recommend this hotel for location, value, comfort, and cleanliness recently renovated , it mixes Old and you very successfully

Air conditioning was great the only slight criticism was the thickness of the duvet we would have preferred just a sheet this is trivial and should not deter you staying at this wonderful family owned and run Hotel

The property is located in a prime location. I usually prefer to stay with Marriott to make sure I have a great stay, but I wish the service levels of this place were everywhere! The staff were so nice and helpful- they arranged car services, tours, dinners. Etc. and the owner was a great person, loved talking to him at breakfast!!
Highly recommend staying here and I would do a quick trip to Paris, see the biggies and go back to Lyon and enjoy France!

Terrific gem of a hotel in an ideal location.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in an absolutely outstanding location in Lyon. It couldn't be more centrally located, in a posh neighborhood, and near a metro stop.

We enjoyed very much our 2 days stay at the Hôtel des Célestins, very well situated between the lovely Place des Celestins, the river Saone and place Bellecour (Metro) , pedestrians street . Very quiet. Friendly staff.

Great little hotel

This is an authentic traditional French Hotel with large rooms, original wood floors, newer bathrooms, interesting decorations. Awesome location for visiting Lyon.

The breakfast hits the spot with a nice variety of items. The breakfast room is on the 2nd floor. It’s light and bright with eclectic decorations.

There is a reception desk, but no lounge area.

The service is what sets this place from the others. Everyone was extremely helpful welcoming and nice. I would stay here again.

This is not a full-service luxury hotel.

The main photo on hotel site is the building that hotel faces, not hotel itself. The hotel is more like bed and breakfast as it doesn’t have any common areas other than breakfast room. No entrance lobby at all. Not sure why it’s called a hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, very friendly staff, great breakfast. It’s in an excellent area, close to everything.

Great Stay in Lyon

Great location. Very central to every place of interest. We like to walk to see everything. We walked from the Rhone Express to the hotel (got a Uber) on the way back. 30 to 35 mins walk.
Breakfast if very good.
Caution when arriving. The main photo is the Theatre, not the hotel! We walked straight past the hotel as did another couple we saw looking for the hotel the following day.

We stayed in the Magnolia suite. It was very large and comfortable for two people. There was a large bed, but also a pullout couch. This gave my daughter and I the opportunity to sleep separately which was great. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly with our needs. We would certainly stay there again.

Quick 5 minute walk to metro (metro line A to terminal stop on the line where you transfer to the Rhône Express train above ground to go directly to airport). High end retail shopping less than a block away. Five minute walk to historic St. John the Baptist cathedral and restaurants/shops. The staff is so helpful in helping with transit plans and recommendations for restaurants and agenda.

A nice Hôtel that we booked last minute. The room was clean, practical but a bit small. We only had a one night stay so it was more than enough for us.

Issue was that the office desk wasn’t high enough to let my partners legs slide under it, but he manages the setup even though.

We would come back if in Vieux Lyon again!

Solid hub in Lyon

Totally adequate place to stay that is in a great location - perfect \"center point\" for exploring city center or the old quarter. Simple, small (typically so) accommodations. A little tricky to figure out the layout of the hotel, but nothing too bad. 10 minute or so easy, flat walk to the train station. Do keep your head on a swivel if you're walking with luggage - two employees from the Hermes store down the street came up to me while my wife was in the pharmacy and said two female pickpockets had been trailing us. Breakfast looked fine, but we never eat at the hotel (especially in boulangerie-crazy France!).

Great stay in Lyon

We stayed here for a nighr during our December trip. The location is great, mostly walking or metro ride to most places. Hotel is clean and well kept. The hotel front desk staff is very helping and welcoming, we had a great chat with the person there about more than Lyon.. They helped with local city travel ideas and dinner plans.

My husband and I were kind of disappointed. We were expecting a hotel but, this is not a hotel, it is a guess house. The owners and the staff were very friendly. The room was very little, it wasn’t as pictured.
Something good is that it has a great location. We thought that the breakfast was included so we were force to take it twice but we got the charged when we checked out; to be honest, breakfast wasn’t worth it, there are so many great Cafes and nice restaurants surrounding the property.

The room was tiny but that was expected. The bathroom was a very good size with a beautiful shower. I would absolutely return if I were to go back to Lyon and I highly recommend it.

It was a cute little hotel -- very old but one that has taken pains to keep rooms and bathrooms updated. And the location is great. I'm just more used to chain hotels and their additional amenities. And I thought the room was a little warm despite the air conditioning being on. I couldn't see any way to control the temperature. Would stay here again happily if I needed to, but next time I'll try to book farther out so I have the choice of the type of large chain hotels I prefer.

This is a very small and traditional French family operated hotel. Although the room is very small, it is really clean. The staff is very helpful, giving us help on where and what to see in the city. The location of the hotel could not be more convenient, right in the middle of all activities. It is also a few minutes walk from the Bellecour metro station. The room is also very quiet. It is just very good in all aspects.
