Enjoyed my stay. I took advantage 24 hour access to snacks and coffee bar. It was really nice to grab a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows after an evening of strolling the streets of Lyon. We also took advantage of the free happy hour snacks a few times before heading out to one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. I booked a room with a view of the river and loved the fact that the windows opened so I could enjoy the sounds of the city in the morning while sipping on an espresso. The only complaint was that the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor forcing you to use your towel to mop it up. Because of this I had to get clean towels everyday which isn’t very environmentally friendly. The hotel is located within walking distance to transportation and sites. I traveled with my teenage daughter but feel this hotel is well suited for families with younger children too. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a space modern room with a great river view, modern and bright. No wardrobe though was a bit unusual and inconvenient. The gym is almost non-existent and not pleasant.
The club with snacks and coffee and selection of leaf teas was a great assets during NYE holidays when everything was closed for holidays.

The hotel has some wonderful qualities. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. I also really enjoyed the view overlooking the old city, which made the stay feel special. The property overall was quiet and relaxing, and the public areas were inviting and well-maintained.

That said, there were some drawbacks. The room itself was very small, and the bathroom design offered little privacy, with the added issue of water leaking from the shower. The AC system wasn’t functioning properly—despite being only 10°C outside, the room stayed uncomfortably warm. Additionally, the gym was extremely limited, with just three cardio machines available.

Overall, while I appreciated the staff, service, and atmosphere, some improvements to the rooms and amenities would make the experience much more comfortable.

The check-in process was easy. The clerk at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. My room was not yet ready so she’s stored my luggage safely. When I came back. I went up to my room. The hallway was dirty. The room itself was not the cleanest. It was serviceable. The bed was fine. Sheets were fine. The bathroom was fine. The shower still could be a little bit cleaner. The liquid soap was fine. I had requested an early pick up with a taxi the following morning and the taxi was right on time. I truly appreciate the service at this hotel.

This hotel was very nice and in a great location. I would not stay here in the middle is summer again though. This is an “eco” friendly hotel but the AC settings are low - high. Even set at “high”, it was so hot and hard to sleep. I would estimate it was keeping the room at 78 degrees.

Everything else was nice though. Super nice staff, small gym, water stations on each floor and a great location.

Great stay all round. The staff was very helpful and happy to speak English, after we initially tried to converse in some (very poor) French. They pointed out the things to do and places to see. The only slight concern was that the night receptionist did not know they had synthetic pillows (as one of us is asthmatic and the existing feather pillows could have caused respiratory issues). However, after pointing it out in their handbook in the room, she quickly resolved it by finding two pillows for us to use. Very comfortable bed - had a good sleep! It was also beautiful to see the city in the glow of the morning sun. We didn’t have breakfast, but The Club was available for complementary snacks and drinks outside of breakfast hours. Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyed our stay in OKKO hotel Lyon Pont Lafayette. We were able to walk to the old town and some other major sites within 15 minutes. We appreciated very much the various snacks, cakes, fruits, and coffee provided by the hotel each afternoon and evening. We also tried breakfast for two mornings in the hotel and found the selections more than adequate. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and sight-seeing options. Area around the hotel is pretty peaceful.

Our stay in Lyon

Rooms were more 'compact' than expected but lovely view and comfortable. Shower was clogged and leaked everywhere.
Reported to staff who came to inspect. Receptionist initially told to us to wait for plumber.

On seeking a change of room that morning, had to pack up and report to reception only to be given the room immediately beside our original room....

That said, staff were professional, pleasant and otherwise helpful throughout our stay.

Despite the 'hiccup', would stay again if visiting Lyon. Location is ideal.

Excellent location by the River Rhône about 20 minutes’ walk to St Jean Cathedral a great starting point for every tour by the River Saône where you can catch a cruise and also St Jean metro station for the funicular to Notre Dame on Fourviere Hill.
Good clean room, Nespresso coffee machine but no fridge/minibar or bottled water provided. That said a free snack bar with hot drinks dispensers (so generous and definitely a first in our experience and we’ve been all over the world) through a spacious lounge right next to the lobby and lift, plus a convenient water dispenser on the stairs landing, more than compensate for it.
Very helpful, friendly and courteous staff, Lilou and others are an added bonus. Will certainly stay again.

The location is great, right next to the river and within walking distance old Lyon, the opera, Croix Rousse. There's also a large choice of restaurants around.

This hotel gets great reviews but we found that many of the rooms look quite different (older) to the images on Expedia/Hotels.com. No sitting area in the rooms except a chair, quite dark rooms, and tired pillows. And while functional, the rooms need maintaining/repairing as we had various broken fittings and older furniture. Staff are friendly and location is great - just a shame about the rooms.

It was our first time OKKO, the staff were very warm and welcoming on arrival. The club area was really nice to have free coffee/tea/juice and a light snack whenever we wanted to.
We also enjoyed a couple of wines at a very reasonable price.

The hotel room have funny configuration. The toliet area is separated by see through glass with wooden blind which can be see through if someone is layng on the bed. It is somewhat embarrassing. When showering the water can easily flow from shower area to toilet area. I have to mop up every night after showing. The room also lack of refrigerator to store cold drink. The breakfast is very basic but all the staffs are all super nice.

Buffet breakfast was great, even gluten free options. Classic room is small, no space to hang towels. Bathroom poor designed, when you shower, toilet room gets flooded. Tiny gym but serves the purpose

Room is okay, but very minimalist. The bed was very low. The bathroom with glass wall isnodd, not much privacy, and you enter through the shower...very odd. But at the end good value for money.

I liked the lounge area and the cleanliness of the hotel. It’s walking distance to restaurants and bakeries and not too far from Vieux Lyon and Jardin Bontanique de Lyon. While the room was comfortable, the bathroom didn’t have towel racks/handles. We found that as a bit of an inconvenience. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Unfortunately we had water issues, no hot water for a shower and both the coffee makers were not working. Coffee machine in the room also did not seem to function.
A backup as in a kettle and some packets of coffee would have been nice or some vouchers to a coffee shop.
Otherwise a nice hotel, staff friendly, very clean and centrally located.
