Lovely boutique hotel stay. Charming, quaint, helpful and friendly staff, great location in a quiet neighbourhood right by the beautiful Tête d’Or park. Great value, very reasonably priced, especially considering the perks and quality of the stay. Room is small but quaint, with everything you need. Clean. Lovely lobby setup. Highly recommend. Nice breakfast provided. Can’t recommend enough.

The room and bathroom were quite small. On the plus side, it had air conditioning (not always a given in Europe) and and elevator. You had to drop off the room key at the reception every time you left the hotel, which was a minor inconvenience. The staff were really nice and helpful, and available 24/7.

Hotel is conveniently located near a metro stop and a short walk to a great park. It's an easy walk to the convention center and the main train station.

Good location, good sound insulation from the street but several disappointments. The room was freezing cold when we arrived. It eventually got warm but the bathroom never did because of poor insulation. There was no soap, no shampoo in the room. No WiFi code either. Had to walk down several times to the front desk where the lady seemed to consider normal that we had to beg for minimal service. No apology whatsoever. The WiFi broke down several times. Oh and yes the price is as big as the room is tiny. We definitely do not recommend.

Overall the hotel was clean and one of the staff members was friendly but it was hit or miss. My room was clean but super tiny, hot, and loud. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, you’re better off going out.
If you want a clean place to sleep a night, this hotel is fine.

We just stayed one night here but the location we found really convenient (10 min walk to Paul Bocuse Les Halles and to our restaurant L'Est). We
Parked at Brotteaux car park which is just by the restaurant L'Est.

Pleasing staff, but no hot water in the shower along with no toothpaste... For the price of a single room, I was expecting at least hot water and toothpaste? Disappointing point. But the rest was correct.
The toilet bowl is very low and not really comfortable...

Convenient option with very helpful staff

I stayed in a very simple but convenient room. All staff was very helpful and pleasant, and there is a nice seating area upon arrival. The hotel is central with some options around in the area. Would definitely recommend for someone for whom the location is convenient and doesn't plan to stay in the room the whole day. Breakfast was quite good for the price with croissant, bread, lots of fruit etc. Thank you

Family run hotel, very lovely helpful people.
I only stayed one night when there was a storm so perhaps it affected
the wi-fi which was a nightmare. The signal was dropping every few minutes so I gave up with it.
In the morning I received apologies and my breakfast was kindly refunded for the inconvenience, which was a kind gesture.
Altogether a very pleasant stay in a very well priced clean hotel,only 20 minutes walk to the town centre. Great quiet location, good restaurants in the vicinity. I had a simple basic room which was perfect for one night. Would definitely stay again as long as the wi-fi issue is fixed.

Pretty hotel,within walking distance to centre

I enjoyed my stay. There's wifi included, that one needs to sign up for, which provides a 4 hour duration which then needs to be renewed after that. The hotel staff are very friendly. Breakfast is provided, but not included in the room rate. I didn't have breakfast so no review of the food & drink quality. Lots of local boulangeries close by and restaurants. Walking distance (5 minutes) to Lyon Bleu School for those wishing to take french lessons! The hotel is probably best described as a family run boutique hotel. It has about four rooms on three floors. I was on the third floor which has a lift, but it was easy enough to get the stairs. Would stay here again.

Great location in great neighbour

Love the off the touristy area location yet central to everything - transport, food, even shops. Reception area looks fantastic, the the bedroom's poor and dull lighting and decor is vastly different and a major disappointment. Room facing the back may be quieter but lacks day light which is another minus.

This modest hotel, with simple, nicely design interior has a pleasant home away from home atmosphere. Very clean, right on budget, perfectly located for food, shopping and leisure. Full of hospitality, has a tasty, reasonably priced breakfast option, there also is an available parking upon request, a great bonus in the busy city. Strongly recommended!

Basic hotel close to metro/Parc D'Or

Hotel has the basics, room was small, but bathroom was spacious. The day staff was helpful, but always seemed burdened by questions or requests. Night staff was great, went above and beyond what was asked. All spoke English. There is a Tunisian restaurant across the street with free wifi and good, cheap food. Overall, a decent experience and the price was good. Additional taxes only came out to 4 euros. Lyon is a great city

Great location for price!

Really great location, 2 blocks from the metro and a 10 minute walk down to the Rhône (river). If you walk a little towards the river you can find bakeries, cafes, etc

The hotel staff were very nice.

The downside was that the room we stayed in was very small; there wasn't even enough room to keep our suitcases, really. The bathroom looked as though it had been newly renovated but the room itself was a little outdated.

Reasonable budget hotel about to be renovated

A perfectly nice, basic budget hotel, our stay at Hôtel Tête d'Or probably would have been a lot more enjoyable had it not coincided with a bit of a heatwave in Lyon, with temperatures pushing 40C. The rooms didn't have air-conditioning (we didn't think to check when booking) - they were able to lend us a plug-in fan at reception downstairs, but fans are not as beneficial in the heat as air-con, and also there was only one power socket in the room into which we could plug the fan, which was right by the head of the bed! As we needed the fan on to be able to sleep, this meant having it aimed right at us from a short distance away. Also because there was only one socket we coudn't charge phones / cameras while we were in the room as we always needed the fan plugged in!

The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we had any requests, and the continental breakfast was nice if not a bargain. The location of the hotel is a little bit away from the main tourist areas in Lyon, it is close to a Metro stop and generally things are walkable but you could certainly be closer to the main sight-seeing areas.

The hotel appeared to be undergoing renovations when we were staying - the front of the building had been updated already, but on the day we checked out, they were in the process of ripping out old wall coverings / carpets - so who knows what it will look like in the near future.

Great hotel for the price!

Priced right and very clean, quiet, and \"sympa,\" this hotel was a great choice for a simple, no-frills stay in this part of Lyon. The neighborhood is nice, with amenties all around, including Metro and bus service.

Parking, while not cheap, was just around the corner and very secure. We did not take advantage of the optional breakfast offered.

Malgré les contraintes d'acces au parking que l'on n'est pas sûr d'avoir, peu de places et conditions de grosseur de vehicule + à 700 m de l'hôtel ...Finalement les horaires de stationnement autour m'ont permis de me garer sans trop dépenser car ne rentrant que le soir et partant assez tot le matin..

De kamers waren heel klein, maar dat was bekend. Het zag er ook allemaal oud uit op een deel van het hotel na, het deel wat het meest op de foto’s stond. Het personeel was niet vriendelijk en sprak echt nauwelijks Engels en dat is toch lastig als je in de hotellerie business zit. Het was benauwd op de kamer en het raam kon niet open, ook werkte de airconditioning niet. Uiteindelijk midden in de nacht toch een andere kamer gevraagd want het was echt onaangenaam. We kregen een andere kamer kregen geen helpende hand met de spullen overbrengen en daar ook precies hetzelfde probleem raam kon niet open airco deed het niet. Al met al een hele teleurstellende ervaring.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti presso questa struttura durante la festa delle luci. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Stanza un pò piccola, ma con tutto quel che serve, per due notti andava benissimo. A 15 minuti a piedi dalla città vecchia, raggiungibile con un comoda passeggiata. Buona la colazione a €9,50 a testa al giorno con croissant, pane fresco, burro, marmellate, affettati e frutta, aggiungerei solo qualche torta. Comodissimo (ma non pubblicazzato) il parcheggio privato a 15 euro al giorno. È un ottimo servizio, proponetelo di più! (Noi abbiamo dovuto chiederlo esplicitamente) Personale gentile e disponibile, consigliato!

J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel pour des raisons professionnelles.
Ma chambre était bruyante et peu isolée, surtout au niveau de la salle de bain (fenêtre non isolée). Le couloir est également bruyant et cela s'entend au niveau de la chambre (qui était minuscule)
Le petit déjeuner est minimaliste avec des produits dont la fraicheur n'est pas du matin même (tranches de fromage sèches, kiwi très murs...) ou pas à la hauteur d'un petit déjeuner qui coute presque le prix d'un repas de midi au restaurant! Assez déçue de ce séjour même si le personnel est fort sympathique

Arrivé avec un peu d'avance dans cet hotel ou jai pu trouver une olace dans la rue a coté. Tres bon accueil, rapidité. Belle décoration interieur. La chambre est pas tres grande mais le necessaire y est. Le seul bémol serait le lit (trop mou) pour moi. Jai pris le petit dejeuner qui reste sommaire mais correct avec un bon accueil de l'équipe. Hotel bon rapport qualite prix pour y dormir une nuit.

Le petit déjeuner n était pas très copieux et peu diversifié.
Pour ce qui était bien quand même : bonne literie et fruit frais au petit déjeuner.

Hôtel calme, bien situé avec beaucoup de commerçants autour. Le personnel a répondu à toutes mes attentes donc très à l'écoute et surtout très aimable.
Pour une fois dans un hôtel, déjeuner très calme sans la présence de télévision.

Accueil de l'hôtel agréable tout comme la personne qui nous a accueilli.
Arrivés dans la chambre, nous constatons sur une table la présence d'un sac contenant des emballages de repas ( genre Mac do)
De plus, sur l'une des tablettes de lit, des traces de gras.
Dans la salle de bain, la plus grande des serviettes etait tachée. Une savonnette déjà utilisée se trouvée sur la bord de la baignoire.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit en transit sur Lyon. Les photos de l'hôtel sont attractives, cependant passé le hall d'accueil très bien rénové et décoré, le reste de l'hôtel semble être en décalage (peut être la rénovation n'est-elle pas terminée ?). Nous avons été grandement déçu et surpris du contraste des efforts mis sur le hall comparé aux étages supérieurs et aux chambres. Cependant le personnel était très accueillant et sympathique, ce qui joue en la faveur de l'hôtel. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

Passé l'étonnement d’avoir sa chambre sur le pallier du deuxième étage (ch 201), j’ai trouvé une chambre pratique et fonctionnelle, tout à fait ce qu’il faut pour quelques jours de formation.
Propreté au top, personnel vraiment serviable et agréable !
Je recommande !!!

AGREABLE COURT SEJOUR

Je m'étais rendue à LYON pour affaires et ai apprécié l'accueil chaleureux à mon arrivée.ainsi que celui du matin pour le petit déjeuner copieux qui m'a été proposé.
Un hôtel dans lequel je séjournerai avec plaisir si l'occasion m'en est donnée.

Chambres très petites mais très propres, salle de bain état neuf, matelas à ressorts, un peu de bruit à travers les cloisons mais surtout depuis la rue, petits déjeuners fournis, accueil extrêmement serviable
