The location is very convenient, especially for catching the train. Some of the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful, which we appreciated.

That said, there were a few challenges during our stay. The room and hallway had an unpleasant odor, as if there might have been a drainage issue. Our shower door didn’t close properly, so we had to use towels to catch the water. At check-in, we were reminded not to adjust the HVAC ourselves, which felt a little unusual. We also experienced a delay at the front desk while the receptionist was handling another call.

Breakfast could have been better—though they asked what time to expect us, the selection was already quite limited when we arrived, and it felt a bit picked over.

Overall, while there were some positives, we probably wouldn’t choose this property again and would look for another option in the area.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the subway, metro, and a neighborhood with good restaurants. The breakfast is a good value. Unique? The elevator is as deep as my shoulders are wide. It fits up to four people if they stand sideways.

My room was small but since it was just me, that was not a problem. Since it’s November, I had them turn off the heat and I opened the window so I’d have fresh air to sleep. I always sleep with ear plugs and an eye mask and I slept very well bc it actually got cold in the room.

A smart, comfortable hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The room was small but comfortable and had everything one could want. Eccentric arrangements (call reception) for controlling A/C were a bit of a drawback, and a little ungenerous with teabags and bottle of water. Breakfast was good.

very convenient if you are taking the train, hotel was quiet and clean. The only thing it was a buzz all night, a noise that we couldn't sleep. Every 2 minutes or so, this noise. I didn't ask what was it, we had to take the train very early and we need to go. This was the only problem, the rest very good.

The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. close to the train station is the reason that I selected this hotel.

We found out the sink is nearly clogged and drains very slow. It is quite obvious and the cleaning people should have noticed it.

My biggest issue is that the air-conditioner is making burst noise every few minutes.

This hotel is a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station. Very convenient. The rooms are small and right next to the train tracks (very noisy) all night. Bring ear plugs. The staff was amazing and recommended Lest for dinner, best meal of our trip. All in all we would stay here again.

Not bad, though not the best

Room was mostly alright, though maybe a touch on the small side. Shower was nice. Biggest complaint is probably that there was no hand soap so I ended up using shower gel to wash my hands, which is alright but not as convenient as it could be. Also a waste bin in the room (maybe by the desk) would have been a good idea.

This place also has the smallest lift I’ve ever seen! You kinda get used to that though. Good location and the staff were quite pleasant.

Small room, secure but tight parking

Hotel in good location with bus nearby into the perfect bus stop in town in 10 minutes. Room was upgraded on arrival to larger double room...but was the smallest room out of 17 hotel stays in 21 days. The bathroom had a sliding door and was tiny, you could sit on the bed & put your foot in the bathroom. There was tea/coffee & bed was comfortable but the room was claustrophobic & 1 night was enough. Also be warned..the railway line is adjacent to the hotel so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a street facing room. We used the underground parking, you must pre book a space as only about 7 spaces. It’s low ceiling & barrow so 4x4 won’t fit. We have bmw 3 series & it was just big enough for us..but tight. We didn’t have breakfast there but there are cafes nearby for less €.

Close to Part Dieu train station. Some restaurants within walking distance, and it's a short Metro ride to hundreds more. Excellent shower. Wifi a bit flaky, but mostly worked. Good breakfast. Front desk staff all spoke English pretty well.

This hotel offers secure paid parking which was important for us. Once we had the car parked, we relied on public transport. We bought a 48 hr pass from the hotel reception and we were able to use the bus, subway, train and the furniclar as well. Worth every cent.
Except for the rather wet weather, which dampened the mood of our walks from the hotel, it was easy to move about in Lyon from the hotel as the subway station and tram stop are less than 10minutes away.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. The location is good, just a few minutes from Gare Part-Dieu. WiFi signal was poor in some rooms, and you need to be a tech savvy to connect. Moreover, it is not secured. Central aircooler did not work, and it was hard to sleep because of noise coming through open windows.

Location is handy for the station but in a side street with not much else. I recommend a short walk to the market for great seafood etc and to the old brotteux station for the great brasserie d est. Room is small and the balcony has no seating. Its fine for a quick stop over.

Avoid this hotel for your health and safety!

The electrical system in the hotel is terrible! I could hear those high frequency current sounds everywhere in the hotel. Hard to fall asleep and feel very uncomfortable with this. The hotel staff is rude and saying that I am the first one who complained about this and can't do anything's to help. The most terrible hotel I have even been in Europe (20 countries and over hundreds hotels so far). I won’t be surprised if there is a power outage or more serious accident in the future.

Quiet, Cute and Convenient

The hotel is small, quiet and cute, and is located only a 7-10 minute walk from the main train station in Lyon (Gare de Lyon-Part-Dieu; the TGV from Paris arrives here, as well as the direct tram service to/from the airport). It is also a short walk from the Brotteaux Metro stop. The area is generally on the quieter side, so if you're looking to step out the door into bustling activity this may not be the place for you, but with the Metro it is easy enough to travel to the more happening parts of Lyon, and if one prefers a door-to-door ride then there's also Uber (10 minutes, 20 in traffic, to Place Bellecour, the center of the city). My room was simple but modern, with a noticeable color concept for the decor and bedding (my room was red and black), and a large mirror and waterfall shower in the bathroom. Both the bed and the room itself were larger than I was expecting, given the price I paid for the room (cheap) and my experience with hotel rooms in Europe in general (which tend to be on the smaller, almost monastic side). The staff were friendly and helpful, even with my limited French; most importantly for how I travel, however, the room and the hotel at large were very, very clean. I travel a fair amount and so I am willing to be flexible on many things, but cleanliness is a non-negotiable, with convenience to public transportation a close second; the hotel had both. If I were passing through Lyon in the future I would gladly stay here again!

We needed a hotel close to Lyon Part-Dieu station, but did not want to be disturbed by train noise. This hotel was perfect for that. Great position, only about 5 minutes walk from the station, but we certainly were not disturbed by any train noise. The staff at reception were really pleasant and friendly; very welcoming. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean and modern, and a decent size.

Disappointing for a Best Western

A little disappointed with my stay. Outdated and not so clean room. Very small room, very small bathroom/shower room. Very noisy. Could not get any rest at all. Rooms not soundproof. Bathroom had mould all around. Hotel needs a serious revamp, dirty and outdated. Had pizza for room service as not much choice on the menu, it was actually worst pizza I ever had. It was burned as well, couldn't eat it. Had to go out for food. Disappointing for a Best Western. Only good thing about it is the location, very close to Part-Dieu and Brotteaux area, great for restaurants and bars. Would not book again.

Nice clean rooms and great bathroom, but very small and whilst it could be good for business, it's not in a great location if you are a tourist. Also the "free nearby parking" means street parking - if you can snag a spot. Otherwise the staff were friendly and the bed was really comfortable :)

Die Duschbrause hat nicht funktioniert - nur die zentrale Brause. Aufgrund eines Fehlers war das Housekeeping schon im Zimmer, als ich vom Frühstück zurück kam. Hat sich aber sehr höflich wieder verabschiedet.

Chambre PMR au rdc… climatisation intérieure de la chambre très bruyante. Obligé de l’arrêter pour dormir. Et du coup trop chaud dans la nuit.
La chambre est très sombre, la fenêtre donne sur un cendrier et les groupes de climatisation de l’hôtel, eux aussi très bruyants. Odeur de cigarette dans la chambre.
Et pour couronner le tout, chaque train qui passe fait trembler l’hôtel et fait un bruit du tonnerre.
Le reste de l’hôtel est vieux et décrépi… les équipements de la chambre sont en mauvais état…

L’accueil est à revoir!
En partant même pas de comment s’est passé notre nuit ?rien la personne a prit les clés et à continuer à taper à l’ordinateur!
On demande à l’accueil de baisser le chauffage de la chambre mais au lieu de ça il nous dit qu’il faut éteindre complètement c’est mieux!
La climatisation fait un peu de bruit et il faudrait penser sérieusement à la nettoyer en profondeur…aucun rangement dans la salle de bain pour poser nos affaires de toilettes.
Du coup, le prix pour cette chambre est assez élevé pour l’ensemble de l’hôtel.
