The whole place was very clean. In & out access was super easy. The ski locker (that comes with each room) on the first floor is great. Ski rental is is literally a few steps away. I arrived early; before my room was ready. They held my luggage while I wandered around the village and had it delivered when the room was ready. Nice & simple.

UPDATE, NOV 29, 2025: We check out today, one week after reporting issues, sending pictures & text messages. Gwen & Sophia (front desk supervisors) finally replied yesterday. \"Sorry for the incinvenience your family endured but nothing we can do.\" Sophia seemed annoyed over the phone, rude even, to have to respond to any type of issue.

In summary, we each choose to spend our money at any businesss that provides a product or service we want. At the end of the day, we should do so at a business that actually cares about their customers' satisfaction & not just on collecting $. You're in Colorado. Drive in any direction and you will find plenty of other resorts, ski areas, & businesses that will provide the excellent customer service Keystone properties fails to do.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Thanksgiving Week 2025 stay: My family and I were given a condo at Buffalo Lodge, second floor. On the same day we checked in (Sunday), we contacted front desk staff by phone to report:
- broken hair dryer
- broken kitchen sink food compactor
- a window screen missing from one of the living room windows
Supervisors Gwen & Sophia were rude and did nothing to remedy issues.

The refrigerator made loud noise all night long and since it was a studio the bed was right next to the refrigerator. The fireplace didn’t work, the toilet ran after each flushing even after you giggled the handle. We called to ask to an extra hour for check out since we didn’t sufficient sleep due to the refrigerator. Most places their check out times are either 11 or noon nope this place is 10 am and even after the complaints all the staff tells me is we can offer you a 11 am check out with no charge. I am very displeased and want my money back!!! Oh and the bed wasn’t even a real bed it pulled out of a cabinet that wasn’t what we were expecting it was extremely uncomfortable.

River Run Village is an amazing location. We stayed at the SilverMill Condos. The condo itself got the job done. Plenty of space for two adults and two children. It was very clean and well kept. Some things were a bit outdated in our particular condo. The mattress was definitely old and uncomfortable. The stovetop took a while to heat up food. One of the four burners didn’t work. The hair dryer in the bathroom didn’t work. But, overall, it was a comfortable space to eat, sleep, and relax. I would definitely stay in River Run Village again.

The condo was nice ... noise from above, but that's to be expected I'd say. Location very convenient and property management was friendly. One of the two hot tubs in the building wasn't hot and the other one packed, so we made it into the building next door to access their hot tubs which were very nice - much better view, too.

Worst customer service. Check in was supposed to be at 4, but wasn’t ready. I tried asking for a discount or late check in for the inconvenience, but all they offered was a bottle of wine. Had to drive back to reception which is at a different location to get keys for a different lodge location. Tried to cancel through both Expedia and their customer service, but neither would refund us. Just got into the room at 6P. Called our credit card company and they said we could dispute the charges, which we will be doing. Expedia was horrible, and we will never book through you again and advise others to do the same. When I asked your customer service about their liability for check-in, they said they had none.

The place was fine and what we expected. The issue is the check-in process. You can only pickup your access to the property after 9am. As a group that was coming from Denver and wanted two days of skiing, it defeated the purpose of ski-in/out bc the property management office is 2 miles away from the resort. This meant after the day of skiing, we had to load up, drive the 2 miles away to pickup our keys, etc. then head back to the resort to park and unload. Further, the parking pass expires when you checkout at 10am, which means you need to load up, move to some other parking location, then do your day of skiing.

Loved the convinence of the property but, upon arriving to my room found lights in the kitchen to be inoperative. Multiple blinds broken and cracked and not well working at all. Booked this room for 2 and recived 2 body towels and 2 hand towels, when i asked for extra towels i was advised i would have to pay for any additional towels. Then we proceded with our stay and every time we went to the hot tub there were no towels and looked like someone had came to pick up dirty towels and left the bags there thr bags were there for all 4 nights of my stay as well as no towels were stocked. It was listed there wasa bbq grill and we then gound out this was not true. I feel this place was very over priced to not have things like lights and blinds working as well as having to pay for additional towels when we are staying for multiple nights. The convinece was the only good thing

I’ve stayed here multiple times. For the beer fest The location is the only reason. This place needs a massive remodel. 1975 called and want their appliances and furniture back. Soap, paper towels, trash bags, cooking utensils are all from the dollar store. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. It is about 20 years past cleaning it. Generally I avoid keystone expect for the beer fest every August. Out of all vail resorts, it’s the far lowest quality. If you are coming to the mountains Breckenridge is a much better option.

My water in the sink and in the shower took an extra ordinarily long time to get hot - like around 10 minutes. The heat didn't work all that great either. The hot tub was only lukewarm. They should've called it the \"lukewarm tub.\" The location was great and the room was nice and clean.

For the amount of money they charge you to stay here i would recommend staying in a cheaper place. The wifi doesn't work so i had no service in my own room had to go outside to make phone calls. The bed was rock hard and very worn down. So at the end of the day when you are sore and tired from hitting the slopes, don't expect to get a good nights sleep. I have slept on better mattresses and beds in a best western at a fraction of the price. To pay to have somewhere to sleep at night and being unable to sleep seems like a large waste of money to me.

The property was beautiful, in a great location and we had a great time. The only part of the stay that was not good was the communication. We booked the morning of the stay, and in that communication confirmation it said we needed to make check in arrangements within the 48 hours of the stay as the check in spot was offsite from the property. The number provided stated the office was closed and to leave a message (that was not responded to). We were fortunate to get ahold of another property manager in Keystone who shared that someone would be at the check in spot, and that they do man it after hours. It all worked out, but I would think they would have someone who could answer the phone and help us through the confusing check in instructions.

I would give River Run Village a 10 star rating if I could! This was without a doubt one of the best resorts we’ve ever traveled! Every amenity you can imagine is available! We are generally beach combers, but this resort has changed that for us!

My husband and I both entering our 50s and had never skied before. We signed up for beginner ski school and Allen taught us so much in such a small amount of time! We’re not pros, by any means, but he gave us the tools and confidence to want to return and build on those skills to make it to the bigger beginner slopes.

We didn’t have much interaction with lodge staff as Covid policies are still in place, but checking in and out was a breeze. The village itself includes tons of restaurants, shops and even a small grocery/general store for any needs that may arise!

We’ll definitely return in the future!

The good: great location, great views, the property is in good condition, walking distance to the Gondola. The unit was pleasent to stay in, comfortable beds.
Th Bad: elevator did not work, they did not mention that at the check in and put us on the 4 th floor, not too much fun climing 4 flights of starts at 9300 feet above see level.
The check in is at a different location, the airport shuttle slapped us with extra $140 for the extra stop to pick up the keys. There is no sit down indoor breakfast restarants, be ready to do some shopping and cook in your unit. The village restarants close early and do not folow the operating hours listed on their website/ doors.
There is a small grocery store in the village with limited food choices. The shuttles run every 40 min and I think stop at 6pm
If you have a car you should be fine.

We stayed in the Red Hawk Condos. Our view was amazing, the condo was perfect! The village was beautiful short walk. It was like a Hallmark movie. They have a little grocery store that was perfect so we bought food to cook so we could hit the slopes first thing. It was a trip that was too short. It was just beautiful!! The only thing I would say that could be fixed is that they need to do a better job at cleaning up the towels by the pool and hot tub in the morning instead of just leaving them out to freeze, and then not having enough clean and dry ones later in the evening. All in all it was amazing!!

Studio w/ Murphy Bed

These are condos managed by Keystone Resort. Location is spectacular, right in the center of the village. Very close to the main gondola and a very short walk to all bars/restaurants.

Check-in is offsite, but friendly and efficient. Underground, secured garage parking (right under the building) and a secured ski locker for the unit (1st floor) are included at no cost.

Had the studio with the fold-down murphy bed and a couch. Unit was on top (fifth) floor, had vaulted ceilings with lots of windows. More than enough room for two people. Definitely larger than a normal “two queen” hotel room. Other reviewers took issue with the fold down bed, but the one in our unit was comfortable (beware that there isn’t a head board, but they do provide plenty of pillows).

Room had a gas fireplace, portable humidifier (in closet), kitchen with full size stove/microwave/dishwasher/fridge, all the dish ware you could need. Temperature was comfortable.

Shared outdoor tubs and sauna worked well and were clean. In spite of staying during peak ski season on a weekend, we were able to get in with no issues (you’ll be sitting with other people though for sure).

The “meh”: WiFi is slow and drops. Elevators are slow, and the elevator doors required several attempts to close, making for awkward and frustrating moments during busy times of the day. They need to have housekeeping refresh the towel supply at the hot tub and sauna area much more frequently. Vail should fix these items.

Location is phenomenal right in middle of Riverrun village with close walk to Gondola. However, the condos are individually owned and are not well updated with very cramped accommodations (too much furniture for too little space), many of the appliances in the kitchen were not working (icemaker didn't work and no hotel icemaker, coffee maker didn't keep coffee warm, 1 burner on stove didn't work, toilet didn't fill and required us to open up back of toilet after every flush). Hotel property manager and service almost non- existent despite having to pay a resort fee. Called multiple times to \"front desk\" (there isn't one) and most of the time no one answered. Never any towels at the hot tub despite letting management know several times. Only 1 elevator working for entire hotel (other out of service) so every ride up/doen took 10-15 min! Overall, very disappointing hotel/condo experience but we had a good time bc we are a chill family and location was great. Will not return to the River Run Condos for this very high price and low quality service.

Do not get a studio at this property. The Murphy bed was extremely uncomfortable. No AC made the room stiflingly hot. The room was too crowded to walk in with the bed down. I would stay there again, but only in a 1 or 2 bedroom condo.

Difficult to access with unplowed parking lot, multiple locks must be opened to get to room that require key cards which are not reliable. I was accidentally locked out of lobby, without my phone while other guests were out skiing, the only people around were 2 housekeepers who absolutely refused to help and wouldn’t even call the property management office to help me. Acted like they didn’t speak English even though I was really cold and begging for help.

I arrived late, and check in instructions were not correct. Instructions are for winter when it's busier, and the Keystone Resort check in was closed. Luckily the Summit Express driver knew where to go, and then took me to the condo. The wifi did not work, but resort staff did get it working the next day. Everything about the condo was great. The deck and bedroom windows look over the swimming pool, and the windows need to be open at night to cool of the condo. There was noise from the pool until about 10pm, which didn't bother me, but families with young children or people who go to bed early would probably want a different unit. Good coffee and coffee maker were nice to have in the morning.

I would not even recommend this place to my own worst enemy. The beds are horrible!! I barely slept because of how awful the beds are, they're more like a torture device than a place to sleep. The room was HOT, all the time! They have heaters in the room that you cannot control see we were forced to leave the windows and door open constantly which made the air inside the room even more dry! The room had a humidifier but it was voided with the open door. Do yourself a favor and find some other place

Great Family Stay

Everything was wonderful - although when we first got there the pull-out couch was broken, the team immediately jumped on the problem and resolved it to our satisfaction. They even followed-up with wine and cookies for our inconvenience. Due to availability, we had arranged to move rooms for the last night of our stay and the team was wonderful helping us move from one room to another so it was seamless for us!

The best location one can expect. The gondola is at your door steps and you are in the middle of town. Restaurants and stores are right there.

A Happy Birthday!

Had my birthday celebration there and it was great! Love the village, staff was very nice, helpful, and gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate which was very thoughtful and made me feel great to be recognized. The condo was a bit worn (couch is way overdue to be replaced) but still nice. I stay here often and will continue to do so.

Super family friendly resort

Great resort! Everything is in waking distance and they have a free shuttle service for all over the resort. Dinner at the ranch was phenomenal. Condo was lovely and the resort is perfect for families.

Very nice condo right in the heart of River Run

We were given a condo in silver mill. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great view of the mountain. The condo was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommend!
