Unfortunately, our stay at the Hyatt Place in Keystone was a complete bust!!
The main reason we booked was the beautiful hot tub with the mountain views, the restaurant on site and the proximity to A Basin.
The hot tub was closed. But thankfully, they had a second one that was literally in the parking garage. Ground floor, no view, smells of exhaust as you would expect in a parking garage.
The on restaurant at check in, she said would be open at five, decided not to open, which left us with DoorDash as our option for dinner.
The free breakfast was quite literally the most disgusting display ever. The bar had dirty plates, knives, cream cheese, and butter pieces of cereal everywhere. Pancake syrup with no pancakes. Bacon tray that listed sausage and bacon as options had only tiny little discs of probably Canadian bacon? No breakfast potatoes available and the fresh fruit was literally a bowl of mixed berry, probably frozen berries… soup. The coffee lids didn’t fit on the coffee cup, which led to a huge spill in my beautiful new car.
In the room, there were several things broken, including the toilet, which they didn’t care… We used The Lobby. The blinds, the AC. We called the front desk in the evening to ask for toiletries we forgot. signs everywhere to do so, but nobody phone and when we went in person, nobody showed up at the desk after waiting for 20 minutes.
We stayed a lot of places, and occasional not great experience. But this is the worst in the past 20 yrs. By far!

I actually don’t have any issues with the property. It was very adequate. The problem was Expedia made a mistake and double booked us. when I told the property manager this. They chose to check us into all four rooms anyhow and charged us resort fees for all four rooms even though they knew we only booked two rooms and the other two were a mistake. They then refused to refund any of the resort feees or charges.

This hotel needs a refresh badly. Pretty banged up and just looks *used*. Location is great but amenities lacking. We were really looking forward to the hot tub after a day of riding only to find that it is literally in the parking garage and was sooooo gross looking. For the sake of our health, we didn’t go in. Walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything going on around you. It’s nice to have free bfast but the options are the same every day and not very tasty. I prob wouldn’t stay here again.

I I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Keystone. The hotel was extremely clean, which is very important to me since I am highly allergic to dust and very particular about cleanliness. Everything felt fresh and well maintained.

The breakfast was good and offered a nice variety to start the day. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

The walk to the base of the mountain is a bit longer than seven minutes. We walked the first day, but since I was traveling with kids, we chose to drive to the base on the following days.
Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel 3 times since January 2026 each time it has gotten progressively worse. This last time the following was broken- 1 of the 2 elevators (not great when the place is at capacity), ice machine on our floor, all but one spa not in service. One of the bathrooms shower didn’t drain. Wall paper falling off walls. Food for breakfast was cold, and constantly not able to keep up with number of guests at breakfast. At check in I asked for another blanket and it never came.
It feels like they aren’t investing in the appropriate upkeep during off season. I love the location and size of rooms but it’s starting to look run down and old. Hope things change because it’s a great location.

Only one elevator was in service the other felt extremely dangerous when coming to all floors down the elevator would bounce up and down violently as if the cable is stretched. Broken light fixtures all over hotel including lamps in room that have been epoxied back together. Paint cracking in room. Poor insulation throughout. Breakfast was poor felt sick afterwards.

I had reserved a 2-queen room six months in advance, but when I arrived, there were no such rooms available, so I was given a 1-king room and had to switch to a 2-queen room the next day. The sofa bed in the 1-king room had a very poor mattress, and it was impossible to sleep on it.

After skiing, I returned to the room around 3:00 PM and found that it had not been cleaned. I requested housekeeping at the front desk, but no one came by 4:30 PM, so I contacted the front desk again. At that point, someone who identified themselves as the general manager said that housekeeping only needed to be completed by 6:00 PM and showed no apology. I then asked at least for towels. Housekeeping finally came around 5:30 PM, and I only had the trash emptied and received towels.

Absolutely zero willingness to serve customers or provide at least a decent service. The food was terrible, the rooms were not clean. They cleaned the rooms after you arrive in the room and therefore you have to leave the room for them to clean even at 7 PM.!! they doubled the parking charge at the last minute without any prior authorization. They charge a resort fee for absolutely nothing at all.

We were unable to stay here as there was a major winter storm that closed I-70 and made checking in impossible. After seeing I-70 was closed, we subsequently called the hotel and were told that we would get a refund, but that we had to request it through our booking service. We did so, and were told by hotels.com that they attempted to contact the property, but that there was no reply. Seems convenient, but is definitely disappointing.

The gal at check-in didn't seem to know what she was doing. Long line, took forever and I had to come back down to the lobby to get my room key card rekeyed because it didn't open the door. Had to do this each day. Maybe other rooms are better but the shower floor could use a good cleaning.

The room was 80 degrees. AC did not work. They brought a fan and said to open window. Did not offer a room switch. Told us to turn ac off then on and that it would then work which obviously didn’t fix it. Did not answer our call to the office / front desk when it didn’t work. No one at front desk when we went down there. Will not stay again. Also had to park a long ways away and wasn’t told could park wherever on property as others did that were not even parking spots closer to hotel.

Our stay at the Hyatt Place Keystone was average. We went in summer which is an off-season time to visit, but were surprised to learn when we arrived that the bar and restaurant were closed (even though the hotel was full and it was a Saturday night). Our room was small, but clean and the bed was decently comfortable. We were unable to get a hold of the front desk or housekeeping during our stay - just a busy signal and a full voicemail. Parking was a pain, we had to park across a very busy street since everything was full by the time we arrived back to our hotel after dinner. On a positive note, they did allow us a later check-out at 12:30 which was very much appreciated. Nothing horrible but probably wouldn't stay again!

Upon check-in the desk staff were not friendly. They did not approach the desk until we had been standing there. They were sitting in chairs toward the back and did not think we needed anything.
Upon going into the room we went to open the shade and it fell of and hit me in the head. We went to the phone to call down to the desk and the phone did not work. When my husband went down stairs to notify about the shade and phone they claimed they had no one to fix the shade and the phone was probably out due to a lighting strike earlier that day.
The safe would not open they had no one to come fix it? When taking a shower the body wash was empty and so was the shampoo. They did not provide any wash rags and only one hand towel.
In the area around the small trash can and by the fridge it smelled like vomit.
All in all it wasn't a very nice place to stay, we will not recommend to anyone and we won't go back.

Leave this one alone unless you get a super rate. The hotel is tired bordering on shabby. Bedding was okay; towels threadbare, furniture stained and worn. They are also very understaffed - our simple problems were not solved (broken coffeemaker, empty soap pumper in shower.)

There was no hot water for a full day of our stay. No explanation or compensation, just a chilly wakeup. Desk clerk seemed indifferent and had no ETA.

The breakfast buffet is scant - few items served and shortages of what was on offer. Ex-the breadbasket had only heels from the loaves; just 2 shriveled oranges in the fruit basket. We wound up buying some fruit at grocery. No one was on hand to clean the tables, both days we had to wash one down to be able to sit.

If you just need a place to flop after mountain activities, this will do. But if you are expecting a resort with amenities commensurate with the rates, look somewhere else. We won't be back.

Couldn't sleep in a sweltering room

The staff was very nice and tried very hard to help. However, the room thermostat would not turn on. My room was at 80*. Engineering team came up and tried to help, but to no avail. He brought me fans to make it more comfortable, but it was awful. On top of that my fridge never got cold enough to keep my food cold, and all of my groceries in it went bad. I tried calling front desk a few times, but there was no answer. It just wasn't worth the money to be up all night suffering in the heat. I tried opening a window too but the bars on the small side window offered zero relief. You have one expectation when staying in a hotel, to be able to sleep. When it's that hot and stuffy, sleep is impossible. Just not ok.

We loved our stay here...especially it's proximity to Dillon and other nearby locales. We weren't always thrilled with a few of the breakfast items (hashbrowns and sausage) as some were regularly undercooked. The heating systems didn't seem to always work properly as the morning of our arrival (at 4:30AM) it was 34 degrees in Keystone and the room didn't heat up until well after sunrise. Parking is limited and usually fills quickly after 4PM (be mindful of this when looking for a late night/date night out in Dillon or its surrounding areas). While the rooms are certainly smaller than what I've experienced at other Hyatt Place facilities around the country, this was decent enough and met all our needs while visiting with family and friends in the area. Looking forward to doing it again next year!

There was also a $35 per night “resort fee” that Expedia did not disclose while booking. I did not appreciate this extra hidden charge. Poor business model on both Expedia and Hyatt’s behalf

View was nice! Beautiful little waking trail around some water lands and river. Great view of the ski hills. Outdoor hot tubs are nice.

A little old and worn down.

Could use a good cleaning, walls in dining area had splatter on them. Various windows were fogged over or dirty to the point you could not see out.

Area between bed and wall is so narrow i don't think the vaccume fits, or they don't bother to clean it, it was way gross!

Toilet didn't flush very well, and bathroom fan did not work. Shower head was partly clogged.

Very disappointed. First, they charge for parking even though the town is practically empty — it felt like a ghost town, so the fee made no sense. On top of that, they didn’t even mention the parking charge when I checked in, which felt really sneaky. The room itself was extremely cold, and the heater barely worked. It made so much noise that it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Definitely not worth the stay, and I would not recommend it

Amazing Coustomer service was provided at the hotel by the staff. Anastasya was absolutely lovely at the front desk.

We came here because we got stuck in the highway because of a snow storm. I’m incredibly greatful that we found this hotel. The staff made us forget about everything the moment we walked in the front door.

The best thing about the Hyatt is proximity to chair, you can walk half a block and you’re on! The suite was adequate but I needed more light. They provided me a desk lamp. They have 3 hot tubs, a laundry and free breakfast daily. The downside was my floors ice machine was broken but it was a small inconvenience. They serve delicious cookies every afternoon and overall from checking in, to leaving people were friendly and helpful. I would return.
