This used to be nice place. Now I’m surprised Wyndham puts the Ramada label on it. The facility is really run down. We had to try three rooms to get one where the AC worked. The shower was falling apart, enamel peeling off the tub. Blood stains on the shower curtain. Broken tiles through out. Torn up head boards, dirty upholstery on the chair, one outlet in the room. Room was non smoking, however smelled like it was previously a smoking room.

Exterior is also is rough shape, cracks in the walls, torn up walk ways, phones didn’t work, WiFi was useless.

The lobby is the nicest part of the facility.

On the upside it was safe and the staff was excellent helping us find a room with working AC. Unfortunately it was a double room and we’d paid for a king.

The price from this site was 1/3 of the rack rate.

Do not stay here! Very outdated. Had to wear shoes to take a shower the tub floor was disgusting! Half used shampoo and conditioner bottles still in the room. Blinds are broke. Weird smell in room. No coffee etc not that we would have drunk from the pot in the room. Air conditioning at lowest setting was still hot. Even though we ran it from the time we checked in. It’s a casino hotel so it is a revolving door. Front check in lady was dressed very well and pleasant at the most for such an awful place. Only had to stay one night thank goodness!

I am going to leave a honest review so you can make your decision on your own. The price for the room was excellent, but what came with that was not. First the air conditioner never cooled the room. We were sweating at night with the AC on full blast. We even tried to get the ceiling fan to go faster but it was wobbling too much and we didn't feel safe. Then came the shower, the shower pressure was so low and the showerhead was kind of broken, that we had to cup water against our body and splash it onto other parts of our body. This made taking a shower twice as long. One night, I asked the front desk for two towels. I told her that there was two on the ground to be replaced. I left for dinner and when I came back, the two dirty towels were gone, but no new towels. I returned to the desk and complained, and after a while they finally delivered them. I thought the idea of a morning buffet would be good for my family, but the content is very minimum. Do not be expecting a decent buffet because it is free. The pool was nice and big but it needed some cleaning. Clean enough to swim in though. The pool side bar was closed and only a few recliners were available. Getting pool towels from the front desk is a burden also. The casino on site is definitely a plus. It made the night life fun, with free drinks and live music. The only other thing I can think of was I thought there was a little beach area at this hotel. There is no beach area at all.

This is my home and IAM disappointed in the venue the TV did not work the door to my room was difficult to lock the safe in the room to poor your valuable in could not open no hot water no microwave the poor is not safe it has a hole in it it's a lost of debre around you sit in the lobby and it's water dripping on you from the ace the breakfast was lord the eggs were sour the milk was warm and the juice that they had was garbage IAM sorry IAM from Belize and I am disappointed in how this hotel is up keep they said they will refund me a night we will see because I have videos SORRY

My stay at the Ramada Belize City Princess Hotel was overall just okay. The hotel was clean and provided the basic necessities needed for my stay, but the experience itself was not the best. One of the biggest challenges was communication with the staff, as they often appeared nonchalant and not very helpful when assistance was needed. The night before an important conference, I attempted to arrange a taxi for the following morning, but no one seemed to know what I was referring to when I followed up the next day, which created unnecessary stress. The lobby was also extremely hot due to the lack of air conditioning, which made waiting in common areas uncomfortable. The rooms themselves were very basic, but they were clean and served their purpose. Overall, while the hotel met my basic accommodation needs, the customer service and communication could definitely be improved.

Hello The Staff in this Hotel that I interacted with like Martin,Raymond etc were good.The Breakfast was decent as for The Rooms including The real Old School Windows furniture,small TV & bathroom they're really beginning to show their age like 1970's/80's.The Hotel is refurbishing The Swimming Pool well I maybe suggest they think about making The Hotel Rooms making this the next Area they need to address.I'll state this after my move to The Golden Tree I was in a Hotel Room that was only a 150 Square foot but it's decor compared to Room 416 at The Ramada Princess was easily better more Modern,tidy,comfortable it had nice Leather Chairs,a Dining/work desk with a really good Office Chair,A Electronic Digital Safe that reliably worked not sporadically,A 43 Inch Smart TV that had Movie Channels + a small Jacuzzi in The Bathroom.So as far as I'm concerned this is what I'd like & let's not forget this is a niche Budget Hotel not a big Resort Chain like Ramada Wyndham are.So if The Golden Tree Hotel I think made the correct decision to address improve & modernize all their Rooms Suites I'd suggest your Hotel & Casino should maybe do likewise.As for our difference of opinion over The Swimming Pool I'll say this when I go to use Expedia I expect whatever Amenity is listed by a Property then I expect when I book it that I don't get a message back after the fact to tell me it's not actually available.The info any Resort displays on Trivago,Expedia should be 100% correct..no excuses !

What I liked:
Staff were nice and helpful during our 7-night stay
Room was clean
AC worked well and kept the room cool
Breakfast was good and convenient, even though it was pretty much the same every day with limited variety
Location was acceptable for getting around

What I didn’t like:
Room was clean but felt run down and dated
Hot water took several minutes of running the tap before it came through
AC was very noisy and disrupted sleep
Pool has been “under construction” for a long time, but there’s no sign work has actually started
Loud music stage with big speakers and flashing lights right next to the hotel — very disturbing at night
Only 1 x 500ml bottle of water provided per person per day and no drinking water dispenser. When I asked, front desk suggested buying more from the bar. Water is a basic need and should not be rationed at a hotel at this level

The bottom line:
For the price and Ramada brand, I expected better. Between the noise issues, the water situation, and the run-down facilities, I don’t recommend this hotel and won’t be returning.

Property needs some updating. Staff real friendly. No bugs. Smoke detector light kept flashing every hour or so, at 1st thought it was lightning. Breakfast cold no warming elements. Quiet. Nice view on the seaside. For the cheaper price I would probably stay again,

I have an allergy which I informed the hotel of prior to eating, they assured me they took necessary precautions but unfortunately I was sick after. The pool was closed, with a bunch of trash laying beside. The room was extremely outdated and unclean. We would not recommend, no matter what discount they are offering.

Wonderful staff in all departments and clean facilities! Very nice free breakfast with reasonable purchase options. What brings it down is the lack of coffee pot and microwave in the room, the stingy and often threadbare towels and the very long wait for hot water in the shower (we were on the 5th floor). Great elevator system- fast smooth and quiet. Cudos to Sayda (consierge) and Sylvan (restaurant) for their outstanding service and friendly attitude during our week long stay.

En general el precio es elevado para la calidad del servicio y calidad del edificio. I booked this hotel for the pool. Within 2 minutes of booking, they sent me a note saying their pool is under construction. I requested to cancel. They told me to contact Expedia. Expedia told me to contact the property. We didn't stay there and both the hotel and Expedia have refused a refund.

The hotel staff were very helpful and kind with booking taxis and tours, and keeping the rooms clean and stocked with towels. They also seemed a bit understaffed in the dining area for the volume of people/diners. Another thing is they could do more maintenance to beautify the building, from the upper management/owners. Some renovations could take place but other than that it was a great stay.

The room was not the most updated. A little dirty on the floor so we kept our socks and shoes on. The food at the restaurant we had this one dish that said it was mildly spicy and ended up being a seven out of five and the shrimps were cooked to the point where they were unrecognizable.

But all that said, it was truly a two star hotel for a night before we headed over to San Pedro for the week.

This hotel is pretty run down compared to some of the other hotel options in Belize City but offered some nice amenities like a game room and free breakfast. If you do choose this hotel, check your hotel door and make sure it locks behind you before you leave for the day. Our door didn’t lock. At all. We would’ve left all our belongings in the room when we left had we not double checked. When notifying the front desk that one of their rooms doesn’t lock, they didn’t really seem to care. So, that hotel room likely still doesn't lock.

This property was sadly disappointing. The disappointed begs with the foul odor that permeated the lobby. Staff were nice but not super friendly for being in the hospitality industry. Like they were just doing a job. Lobby was uninviting, the bar was more like a mall kiosk with some random seating nearby. The rooms don’t look like they’ve been updated since the 70s. The AC spewed mildew into the air. Paid more for an ocean view only to find out all rooms have an ocean view. We couldn’t bring ourselves to eat in the dining room. The front desk provided wonderful nearby options. Nothing on any booking apps mentioned the pool, a bar, and a restaurant are all closed. Even signage in the building still referred to them despite being closed for months. Housekeeping was inconsistent following our eco-friendly preferences (based on the placard in the room), never left the same towels, or a floor mat, sometimes made the bed and sometimes didn’t. Ignored the DND sign on the door and came in. Safe in room also didn’t work. The fridge was gross to touch and wobbled. The windows had hand prints all over them. On our last day, a guest in the lobby asked about our experience, said his was the same, and that he felt badly for bringing his wife and children there.

Ramada, Princess Hotel is breath taking. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by professional staff. The hotel is spotless. Our room was very clean. I know because I took my Lysol wipes and I wiped the counter. There was no dirt ; thank you to the amazing staff. They made sure that we had fresh and clean towels during our stay. The view was perfect. We were able to see the tourist ship and water taxi coming in . There was a nice deck area where guest can take beautiful photos or just sit and enjoy the scenery and tske in the fresh air. My husband and I enjoyed our stay Thank you again to the wonderful staff at princess Ramada. We would definitely recommend Ramada Princess Hotel.

Booked a non-refundable room. Got an email after I booked that the pool was closed. Did not see the email until after my plane landed. In the pool notice they failed to mention the entire hotel has been under construction. When I brought up the lack of transparnecy with the front desk they were rude and argued with me. I urged them to look on their own website and on hotels.com to see for themselves that nothing is posted about the closed pool regardless of how long it has been out of service for. Overall a terrible experience. Was booked for 2 nights but checked out the next morning to find a different accommodation. Will never be back and will not recommend - especially if you have kids.

This hotel was ok for the one night I had. First impression on walking in reception I thought it was lovely. But then rooms. I got given a room right above a generator so noisy I couldn’t stay. I was changed to a room above obviously no better. So I asked for a room on the other side after some debate(staff very helpful) I got a room on the other side. Much better. Room was spacious and clean. Had a fridge but no coffee making facilities. Breakfast was very disappointing. Not a lot of choice. And the pool was closed for renovation. Would I stay again probably not.

Get the ocean view room. Staff works hard be kind and tip. Make sure pool renovation is complete, was not able to enjoy. Included breakfast was limited but gets u on your way! Casino - we don’t gamble. Stayed here after 5 days in San Ignacio doing adventure tours. Good location- taxis always waiting, tried different restaurants, did tuk tuk ride, local regatta and canoe annual festivals. Minutes from airport. Ferry nearby but water too rough so we skipped the cayes.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Ramada Belize City Princess Hotel and we truly enjoyed our time there. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we felt welcomed. The vibe was warm, the views were beautiful, and everything just felt right.
The manager was wonderful and the entire staff was kind and professional. Everyone we came across greeted us with a smile and made sure we were taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. I really have to highlight Sylvin in the restaurant because he made our stay extra special. From day one, he was so friendly and attentive. He remembered us, checked on us, and made sure we were comfortable every time we dined there.
One evening we came back from our day trip to Guatemala and I casually mentioned that my feet were hurting and that I was going upstairs to relax. We ordered our food to the room. A little while later, Sylvin surprised us by sending up a foot bowl with warm water and flowers so my husband could soak and massage my feet. I was not expecting that at all. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. That small act meant so much to me and showed how much he truly cares about the guests.
The food was delicious every time. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We especially enjoyed breakfast each morning. It was a great way to start our day.
Overall, we had a beautiful experience, but what really stood out was the hospitality. Thank you to the manager, the staff, and especially Sylvin!
