Great staff and clean resort. Only downfall is we rented the water bungalows and it looks like you could swim off the dock but it’s gross. I wish it was cleaned out to be able to enjoy it from your room. Other than that it was amazing.

Amazing… if you are considering this place and questioning it, do it !! The food was absolutely amazing ( and I’m a picky eater ) the location absolutely amazing , it was so easy to get from the airport to here .. I was also hesitant on having lunch and dinner with everyone and it turned out to be so nice, I really enjoyed it !

Super relaxing/so laid back. EXCELLENT STAFF. Amazing food! Definitely a must for R&R. The cabanas are perfect for couples or even solo travelers. I would recommend the Villa for girls trip. The resort felt so safe, we didnt even feel the need to lock our door. But definitely bring bug spray! Other than that, bring an excellent camera. Watch the sunrise on one end of the island and the sunset in the other end. Also, watch out for the friendly dolphins swimming by and under your SUP board or kayak!!

There really are not enough words to describe how fabulous this experience was. If you are looking for a spot to truly relax, disconnect, and reset, this is the place. The location is unbelievable, the service is top notch, the food is phenomenal!! The idea of traveling to different places for different experiences is a great, but it will be a challenge to not choose this resort many times over because it was so wonderful. Don’t hesitate…book your stay NOW!!

Well, i had to cancel this trip so I don’t have an opinion about the property. The reason when I booked this trip and paid for my accommodation, the hotel send me an Email saying after booking . I had to pay 1,700 dlls. More for meals. That never was mentioned when I booked this trip.it seems there’s no transparency with that.(1700 for meals)they don’t even tell you what’s included. I knew that this hotel is not inclusive, but is up to me to choose when I eat my meals and pay o course for what I consume, I hope they can make this issue clear before people book the hotel

Small intimate property with exceptional staff. We booked the over water cabana and were surprised that it was on the cove side of the island so no waves. Also, there isn’t really a beach because they had to put in a wall to stop erosion.

St. George’s Caye is a quiet, small resort. The location and amenities were wonderful. I loved having access to sea kayaks and paddle boards. No fault of the resort but the wild life was quite loud in the morning and made it impossible to sleep in. The food and service was great. It was a highlight to share meals with the other guests. The pool needs to be resurfaced, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. Only stayed 6 days wish it could have been 10!

This is a terrific resort to stay in. The staff were top notch, was very helpful with getting island hopping done seamlessly. The food was wonderful and the tables are set up family style, so there's no menu to choose items from. Just a tiny pet peeve. If you don't mind having a set menu every night then this is the place for you!

Unfortunately, what was advertised was not offered. The small sailboats were all broken, there is no snorkeling off the island. You have to pay a ridiculous price of $65 per person to go on a boat to snorkel on the reef. Misleading. Never pays such high prices for excursions in my life. Over priced for what is provided and offered to pick up my Ray-Ban sunglasses mysteriously disappeared off the veranda on my villa. I was renting thank you, thank you thank you ridiculous prices.

Informational review: property is good if you are looking to unplug and relax. There are no tv’s on the property and limited WiFi. There is no “entertainment” so you’re likely to turn in after dinner unless you create the party. “glamping” when speaking on arrangements. Pack comfortably, athleisure or swimwear. Very relaxed, no need for fancy dining clothes. a divers paradise from return guests. The property is on a Caye (key) with limited access to the city in Belize unless you purchase an excursion. You have the option to pay for a boat to shore but you must find your own transportation once you’re there. Booking through Expedia DOES NOT include the meal plan! Upon arrival I was greeted with a large bill due for 3meals per day. In communication with resort prior, you won’t be notified of that amount. The property is listed as “all inclusive” but it is not your typical. Most guests that arrived at the same time were not aware that drinks and snacks were not included. You pay for all drinks (other than the 1 rum punch per day), snack time is 2-4pm and you will pay for that. Included are breakfast of your choice, set lunch and set dinner (no buffet). While all of this is palatable, it would be better received if written in property information or made clear in one of the emails you receive prior to arrival. As all reviews have stated, the staff is awesome! All in all, I’d say, read reviews, ask the property any question you can think of as they are very responsive.

St George’s Caye Resort is a wonderful place to relax and recharge. You arrive by boat and no vehicles are on the Caye. Meals are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main building which overlooks the beach. There is a bartender who will make any drink you can imagine. We stayed in a thatched roof hut ten feet from the beach. We sailed on the Hobie Cat which was 20 feet from our front porch. We went scuba diving, snorkeling and on a fishing excursion to the reef. We caught enough fish that we fed the entire resort and staff. The resort had about 20 guests. I was told at a stretch they can accommodate 36 guests. This resort was fantastic!

However, there are very limited activities on the island and the cost to go back the Belize City is very high!
Also, you pay an all inclusive fee which is also expensive but you can’t choose your meals and can only eat at specified time.
Way too expensive for the overall experience.

The hospitality was fantastic! Every staff member strived to give you what you wanted-they bent over backwards for every little need! The chef was incredibly accommodating to my needs and went above and beyond! The spa treatments were the best I ever experienced! The shower was a bit of a challenge as it was small and the shower head didn’t spray very well, but it was not a big deal at all! This was an amazing and super relaxing place and I can’t express my gratitude to the staff enough for making this such a fantastic vacation! The resort is on a beautiful secluded private island with idyllic views of the Caribbean Sea. From the moment we were picked up at the airport by Cornell, to the moment we were dropped off back at the airport (after our Covid test - arranged by the resort) everything was very relaxing and comfortable with extremely nice and friendly staff.

Everything is clean, very well maintained and the food was great!

We started each day on the lanai for our cabana with a cup of coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, while looking out to the sea. Followed by a great breakfast (the stuffed fry jacks are a must try) and then a day of relaxing or adventure.

The scuba diving (with Fredi our dive master) was phenomenal - lots of wildlife, a nurse shark, stingrays, eagle rays, moray eels, loggerhead turtles, countless fish and beautiful colorful corals. Snorkeling with Fredi and Jose was sublime. The zip lining in the tropical rain forest and cave tubing adventure was exhilarating. Kayaking around the island with the resort kayaks was entertaining. Taking out the Hobie Cat for a quick sail in the bay was a lot of fun. Swimming in the pool and relaxing in the many hammocks around the property a great way to spend the afternoon.

Then after the adventure or relaxation, we would get our daily rum punch and enjoying a beautiful sunset from one of the docks, before a delicious 4 course dinner every night.

It was great to disconnect from the rest of the world in this slice of paradise.

If a secluded paradise is what you’re searching for, Saint George’s Caye Resort is the perfect spot. Everything was just what we needed…minimal distractions and maximum relaxation. Days were spent on the beach relaxing and looking into the beautiful Caribbean Sea, and days were full with zip lining and cave tubing excursions. Start to finish this resort was top notch service and care! In a time of covid, they were clean, careful, and conscientious. Like many other reviews, you will see that every person you encounter you will know by name and will have a passion for the service they provide. The sheer logistics of how they manage everyone on the island and their activities is just amazing and it makes for a perfect relaxing tropical experience.

Let me take you through a typical day. You wake up to your coffee and tea (with all the fixing on how you like it) outside your cabana at 6am or whenever you want to wake up. Go to breakfast and they have a menu of delicious food served EXACTLY how you specify and need. I can't emphasize the care that goes into making each guests menu preferences right! SPOT ON! They come around and take your temperature and ask what you have planned or tell you about your day based on what you already scheduled for activities. What you should do, who you should see, what you should wear, etc. Everything is handled, you want to go fishing, just ask, you want to go skuba, just ask, you want a massage, just say, you want to try your hand at sailing, just let someone know. Tours of Mayan Ruins, Ziplining, Cave tubing, you can do it all! And they handle everything just show up! Relax on the beach and on a whim decide to go kayake and see the manatee., or take your coffee watching the sunrise on new years day! Best vacation spot, will be back!

It's a private island so all visitors are to the resort or to a few private houses nearby. Very restful, 3 good to great meals per day. Breakfast is cooked to order, dinners with a lot of people to serve at once, was occasionally overcooked. Several excursion options, nice pool, kayaks (some with broken seats) ... curious shortage of cushions for chairs -- beach loungers, dining chairs, barstools.. The cabins have shaded porches -- if you want to read early or late you need a screen like a Kindle, or, I guess, a miner's lamp. Great staff, met a number of interesting people -- it draws a conversant crowd.

We had such a great time at St. Georges Caye Resort for our honeymoon!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so at ease. They kept track of all our activities and handled all scheduling. We dealt with Jahnene most of the time, and she was so helpful and pleasant to talk to!
All of the mainland excursions were well organized, and Cornell was so personable and informative. We enjoyed our rides with him.
And the food!...those chefs can do no wrong!! Everything was delicious! They also work around any dietary restrictions, substituting as needed. Great drinks at the bar as well. Eddie was very friendly and made us plenty of great drinks!
The cabanas were well kept. I saw someone going around cleaning everyday. There were occasional critters in the bathroom (because it opens to the thatched roof). We enjoyed seeing our gecko friend almost every.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was exactly what we were looking for. The resort is what you make of it though. If you're looking to disconnect from your daily routine lives and enjoy a REAL TRUE VACATION this is your place. If you need to work or constantly post to Instagram, this place isn't for you. They have great amenities here, but not the kind you're used to at a 5 star resort persay. You can wake up, grab a paddleboard/kayak/snorkeling gear/hobiecat/fishing gear and have fun before heading up to the main bar/dining area to order your breakfast, check on the kids, chat with other guests, post yesterday's pics online, and plan your day without fighting crowds. Want to learn to scuba dive, take an excursion to swim with sharks, tour mayan ruins, party in san pedro, check out the city? They have you covered.
Fun Tip: meet new friends at the communal dining table, ask for a hobiecat captain and have them sail you all to the sandbar for a fun laid back afternoon.
Helpful Tip:
Don't forget to pack lots of sunscreen and bug spray, and reapply often. Still got burned? Use the oil sold in the gift shop. It worked well & prevented peeling. We bought extra to take home.
Dining Tip: Dining here is the hardest thing to get used to, but don't fret. They won't let you starve. If you don't want to share meals with guests, ask for meals to go, or to be set up for a private dinner. However, it's way more fun making new friends & sharing laughs; at least part of your stay. 😉

The island is beautiful as expected ! As soon as you get off the boat you will see how perfect it looks like just as in the pictures. Beautiful waters beautiful views everything is very pleasing to the eye. But once you settle in and realize that your all inclusive trip isn’t all included. Big prices come around. I spend 3 nights there and paid almost $550 usd just for the 3 days of food. You have to pay for every excursion out of pocket too which i didn’t know because we had a day planned for me and my girlfriend to go see the Mayan temples which ended up being $225 usd for each of us which was $450. The meals where 3 times a day buy sometimes they where small so me and my wife would go and get some snacks like wings and natchos maybe some alcohol drinks and those all have to be paid out of pocket as it is not included with the food payment you first pay. Oh also there is WiFi on the island but only in the office room so the only way to get WiFi is by being around the office. Over all just for 3 days not including my already paid for “all inclusive rooms” or the flight tickets . In 3 night we stayed there out of pocket expenses where around $1,400 usd way to over priced

Wonderful place to get engaged!

St George's Caye is beautiful with a wonderful staff that keeps the grounds well kept and guests happy. I loved getting the coffee delivered to our door in the morning to watch the stingrays circle the dock below our feet. The food was amazing. The only down side was that the beds were not quite as comfortable as one would expect for that type of resort. Overall, the resort made for a great laid back vacation, as they were flexible with trips. I also loved the selection of handmade Mayan woken palm pots made by the bartender's sister. My boyfriend proposed on this trip which made it all the more perfect especially since we could enjoy being engaged for a few days without bothering with wifi. :)

This was my first time traveling out of the country and I could not have picked a better location. The staff was considerate and knowledgeable. They gave information about the island and the history of Belize. The meals were all delicious and they made sure to take food allergies/diet into consideration. There were plenty of activities to choose from each day. Tip: plan your trip based on the daily activity you would like to experience. Other than that enjoy your time on this beautiful island escape.

Love it, this place is for those couples want to be out of technology noice and just relax. The ocean outstanding beautiful. There are activities such as kayak, snorke, and diving. The island 🌴 is only for the resort and few vacations Houses. There is an interesting aquarium, it is a small no fancy. Staff very organized and friendly. It think stay for just few days is enough. They offer diving certification but you may need to stay several days.

The resort is good and yet very rustic. The hidden costs are in the food. The limitation is that you have to go dine with the other guests and really do not have other options at the resort or on the island. When we were there there was also a lot of noise from construction which was not pleasant.

This is the most relaxing trip I've ever taken. No need to worry about getting to the resort, drinks on arrival, lunch on arrival, bags in your room.... We were there for 5 nights and basically had the place to ourselves during the day. Family style dining is fantastic. We met wonderful people and learned a lot about their adventures during the day. I would recommend St. Georges Caye resort to any of my friends looking to simply unplug and relax.

Great Experience, could use a few improvements

This hotel should not be listed as an All-Inclusive as, upon arrival, you are asked to pay for the cost of your meals and at the end any and everything you have used is charged individually. We were charged for every single soda, water, beer, every drink at the bar at a cost of 8-10 per drink. So after having paid the amount shown on Orbitz with the expectation that it is All-Inclusive, there are may additional charges incurred that need to be paid for, some immediately upon arrival before being shown to your room and the rest at checkout.

Private and Friendly.

Resort was quiet and secluded. It did take a 25 minute boat ride to get to the mainland. And if you need to get a ride, it costs $150 round trip. The island where you go snorkeling with the sharks is cool, but it's a 45 minute boat ride. The boats fit about 6 passengers and are pretty loud and windy. The service was good and all the people were friendly. I was disappointed that the food wasn't better. I expected a lot of seafood, but there was actually a lot of pork. And the desserts were small ☹️ We would go back if we planned on spending most of our time at the resort.

Great Isolated Place, Great Staff

It's a small place with a small number of guests. Everyone eats around a communal table at meal times, (although you can eat separately if you prefer) and shares their day's adventures. It was a nice group of people.

The resort is on an island and must generate their own electricity so there is a constant background noise from the generators. It's not intrusive more like a white noise unless you're quite sensitive.

Luxurious, quiet getaway

We started our Central America trip with a few nights at St. George's, and in hindsight, we wished we had finished our trip here, because it was the highlight of our vacation. A driver met us at the airport, who took us to the dock; another staff member took us on a short (20 min) boat ride to the island, where someone was there to greet us with a drink in hand. We spent our time shifting from the beach, to the dock, to kayaking, to the pool, and to the bar, with plenty of time in their various hammocks. This resort is very dive-oriented but we didn't do any diving, which left us with the place to ourselves during the day (overall, there were about 20 people staying with us at the resort). Someone brought their fishing pole and was fishing right off the beach - super fun. We had a great time bonding with the other visitors during the shared meals!

It was a little difficult to determine ahead of time what cost extra money, and what didn't; food is included in the daily resort fee, plus anything on the resort that doesn't require staff involvement (kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, catamaran). But everything else carried a fee: drinks (other than one free Rum Punch each day), snorkeling, fishing, diving, tours, etc. The tour prices were very high compared to prices in town, but it makes sense as they require a boat ride to the mainland. They encourage you to leave one big tip at the end of your stay which is distributed among the staff, we found that to be convenient.
