Aside from one of the front desk ladies, who was a bit terse, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also good, and the kids had fun in the pool. My only gripe was the US$37 charge for a 15-minute airport shuttle.

Unfriendly staff, room charges not permitted for restaurants or lobby purchases. Arrived at 3pm for check in, did not have a room till 5:30pm. Had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast next morning at the café: waited more than an hour and a half for food on all three occasions. For dinner: ordered one cheese pizza, took almost 2 hours and showed up raw in the middle. They brought it back 40min later, still raw in the middle having just been broiled on top. Two towels provided in room for 2 adults, 2 kids, and no towels available at pool area for swimming. Be careful, they have a house next door that they either claim you you booked instead of your standard room, or try to convince you to move to as an “upgrade” (our party had two rooms and experience both scenarios). Don’t be fooled, this is not on the property and not available through Expedia. It seems to be a side hustle. We were treated as an unwelcome nuisance throughout our two day, one night stay. Not impressed at all

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but the location was not great. The road in front of the hotel is very busy and loud. Our room was located almost on the road and the “window” we had looked out to a hallway. It was challenging to get any sleep. The food at the restaurant was okay.

I booked this hotel at the last minute because it was close to the airport for my early morning flight. I honestly wasn’t expecting much but was extremely impressed upon arrival. The hotel is large with lots of amenities, most which I didn’t have time to explore. They have a great bar/restaurant with an open air, tropical theme right next to the pool. They were expanding the deck area next to the pool, which will be lovely when finished. The rooms were modern, clean and well stocked. The bed was comfortable. The spa area looked lovely but I didn’t get to use it.

As I left the next morning, I passed the breakfast buffet. If I’d know it was so large with so many good food choices, I would have gotten up earlier to enjoy it. I’d definitely recommend d this hotel and will stay here again when I visit Belize.

This was our last stop before the airport in the morning. The location was ideal for that. Dinner was fine but it took a very, very long time, even long in Belize time. The pictures of the pool online look nice but it was full of screaming kids, which is what it is, but just an FYI it was very busy by the pool. The AC really struggled and we had no hot water. We had been traveling for a month so I was a little used to lack of hot water at times by now. Yes, the shuttle was a little pricey but was happy to have it and they also picked us up at the water taxi. Overall I'd recommend and stay based on location and services.

We had the best time a barefoot beach! The staff were friendly and helpful. The little cabana we stayed in was so clean a d very cite! The beachfront area was great with lots of seating, a bonfire every evening and Larry running the beach bar all afternoon & evening - he was amazing! Would definitely come back!

WARNING: If you make a reservation here you may get told when you arrive that they don't have a room for you after all and send you to another shady hotel across town. That's what happened to us- I made the reservation a month before, we flew in for US and it was night time and we arrived and they said sorry you're not actually staying here- it was completely bizarre, and frankly scary because I didn't know the area, didn't know where they were taking me but just had to trust them after they had already lied by letting me pay for a reservation and then giving my paid for room to someone else. THE WORST PART- the shuttle driver who took us to the other hotel told us they do this EVERY WEEK to people!! Unacceptable! And the hotel they made us stay at instead was in a random apartment building on the 4th floor above an abandoned casino- it was sketchy! This was a a HORRIBLE way to treat people who made a reservation and paid to stay at the Best Western- and the fact that this is their POLICY instead of an exception is just false advertising and felt very unsafe and unfair. Do NOT make a reservation at this hotel because they could do the same to you.

Solid for Belize City, but there was a ton of construction noise as they were renovating a room next door. The coffee shop also could not sell coffee right away in the morning as the \"machines needed to warm up\" so we had to skip it in our run to the airport.

Hotel shuttle poorly organized. Was left 2 x even with confirmed times. Waited at the airport x hr prior to just taking a taxi with other guests. Tried to confirm pick up from water taxi 4x and no response through app, ended up calling and confirming but driver arrived and said he had no room for us. Contacted hotel and they said some one would be there in the next 30 min, after already waiting for 30 elected to take a cab. Hotel was clean but shuttle was very useless and annoying.

Fantastic! Clean, well maintained rooms. Service by servers in restaurants are excellent. Food was great. Buffets had great options. Shower has great pressure and hot water. Pool was very clean, a little chilly but meant to help balance the hot weather. Pool deck was beautiful - fresh towels. For our family, it met every box. Lacking a little soundproofing between rooms/hallways, but it can be expected in a place like Belize. Also, shuttle to airport which was appreciated. Would stay again in the future without a doubt!

The room is very clean and nice with more than adequate space. The grounds are gorgeous, maintained beautifully, including the pool. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Everything is on site: restaurants, a bar, coffee shop, souvenir shop, snacks, a Gym and a Spa....you never have to leave the property for anything.

The bar had karaoke until after 11pm at night and our room was literally right beside the bar with 2 young kids. Then, at 520am there was crashing and what sounded like furniture moving down the hall outside our room.
The room was clean, the staff were wonderful, and the pool is nice.

Decent hotel for Belize city, food hit or miss, but went to check in around 1 and they said it would be an additional charge to get the room now. Really if it is ready then let us check in instead of nickel and diming for some extra bucks. Not a good way to build any loyalty. Won't be staying there again unless I have no choice.

Dear Hotel Management Team,

I am writing to formally report a very disappointing experience during my stay at your hotel. From shuttle pickup through checkout, the level of service fell well below expectations.

At check-in, the front desk staff member was preoccupied and inattentive. When I attempted to locate my rewards account and explained that my sisters were ready to go to the room while I completed check-in, the staff member simply pointed to the keys on the desk. We were not provided basic welcome information—no room number, no directions, and no explanation of hotel amenities.

Once in the room, my sister took a shower shortly after 4:00 p.m. and reported that the water was cold. I attempted to shower about an hour later and experienced the same issue. I contacted the front desk, and maintenance was sent to the room. Despite checking the water, the issue was treated as if nothing were wrong, even though we clearly stated the water was not even lukewarm. Maintenance had to be contacted again, and it took several hours before the hotel finally agreed to move us to another room.

The replacement room was noticeably better—it had proper hot water, a larger television, a larger refrigerator, and included body wash and shampoo, which were missing from the original room. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about room standards and quality control.

It was super expensive, pretty much overpriced. The flushing handle on the toilet was falling off, the TV was broken, and fuzzy, and we experienced some attitude from the staff. Breakfast menu as advertised in the room was wrong, and we almost missed our flight became the preordered food didn’t come out for 30 minutes after we had requested it for.

Came for a solo trip for new years. I upgraded to the premium king: initially they had me in a deluxe room until I went to the desk let them know and it was fixed immediately.

The bed is super comfortable, the room was clean besides behind the bed. (Crumbs and hair) were left.
I only ate at the Jaguar bar, the jerk chicken is great but the ride is meh, the fettuccine pasta is tasty, the Philly cheese sandwich I sent back due to not being able to eat it bc it fell apart.

The guest are friendly and the pool is nice and cool, I’d definitely stay again since it’s close to the airport but you do need a taxi to go closer to the bars which is in south Belize. I did walk to Seabreeze which is about 15min, and the store which is about 10min. Taxis range from $5-20 to go 5-15min down the road.

I had to move rooms three days into my stay because my TV and phone did not work, and there was a strange odor. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic, and they came right away to fix the issues.

As someone who travels constantly and has stayed in many hotels, the check in staff was so unfriendly to us and ignored us constantly while smiling and helping others. We got stuck with a room that smelt of strong mildew and all they could offer us was air freshener in which they took it back from us. We booked 2 connected rooms and when we got there they told us we only have 1 and then gave us 2 far apart rooms. Restaurant quality wasn’t nice , and even when trying to buy drinks downstairs we were ignored and felt like we were a bother when we asked to pay for our stuff. In conclusion, please treat everyone the SAME no matter what their skin color or religion is !!!!

I stayed here while on a business trip in Belize. The property is nice, staff very friendly and the food ok. My only issue was the room carried an odor and there were mosquitoes in my room. I requested a ground floor room and even though this was accommodated, I was placed near the pool and bar which was very noisy.

This was a last minute reservation so we could get to the airport the next morning. The hotel is generally nice with good amenities and restaurant on site. The pool is deep and long for laps and general comfort.
Ashari, at the front desk was not a pleasant person to deal with at all however all the other staff that we encountered were great.
The hotel was under renovation when we arrived with jack hammers and concrete cutting outside on the second level. Not great while out by the pool but noise cancelling headphones cut it down a lot.
Overall, a comfortable place when not under construction with generally helpful staff aside from one.

All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Bartenders and wait staff and the front desk agent who checked us in are to be commended! Beds are super comfy!! Several options for dining, sipping and fun. Pool was perfectly set amongst the most beautiful scenery. Hotel location is very convenient too!

Cons: construction/renovations going on EARLY in the morning right next door EVERY morning. Also hskpg would wake us early in the morning before we had a chance to even get up. Hspkg never replaced the shower gel when it ran out... even after I requested it and reminded her. The last 4 days we had none. There is a smell of sewage coming from the sink or drainage system. This was a daily sore. When renovations are complete, this will be top notch for choices to stay.

Pros: LOTS to say about the Best Western in Belize City! First of all the staff and everyone in Belize is sooo super friendly and helpful with whatever you may need! When you first step into your room all you smell is CLEAN!!! You can tell these folks take care of not only their guests but their property! The two women working at the bar really made our experience 10x more amazing, and treated us all like second family. The hotel provides transportation via shuttles, not only to and from the airport, but ANYWHERE you want to go on the island, and for such an affordable price. They also have tours available and if you connect with the drivers and tour guides you may even score a better deal for your excursions. The property has wheelchair accessible walkways and rooms which is great. The restaurant had a free buffet when we went with some nice local cuisine and they also had a karaoke night, so plenty of activities and opportunities for guests to do from the hotel. There’s also a gym and everywhere throughout the hotel is very well cooled, which is great for beating the Belize heat.

Cons: Not many cons, but lots of construction going on when we went, (late August ‘25) so lots of noise early in the morning. Pillows were hard as rocks, so sleeping was not great. Pretty high prices for food at the bar & Restaurant, and the local food is much cheaper & better tasting. Tours and excursions are also a bit overpriced if you can find deals on third party sites.

Overall 4.5 stars!

Stayed one night due to arriving in Belize City after hours.. next morning caught the water taxi to San Pedro! Great place to stay if arriving after water taxi hours.. they have shuttle service to the water taxi station!
