We had to book very last minute after American Airlines messed up our flight back, and they were very accommodating on short notice. It was a great location and distance from the airport. Only stayed one night - the dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Some of the facilities are showing their age, but it worked great for what we needed

The ladies working in the restaurant were great! The guy that picked us up was awesome! The gal that checked us in was great. The restaurant menu was in USD currency and over priced. Last be not least the lady that checked us out of the resort was horrible and we'll never go back.

The Air conditioner worked. That was good. However, we were concerned to find debris on the bed … bits of sand and some dead bugs on top of the sheets. The bed is right underneath the A/C unit … maybe debris blown onto the bed when the A/C was turned on?

The office was closed by the time we noticed at bedtime, so we could not change rooms or request fresh sheets (the sheets also had stains on them). As a result, we just shook out the sheets outside and remade the bed. No mattress pad so the bed was a bit uncomfortable. The room was a bit shabby as well … chips and scratches in the paint on the walls, especially by the closet doors.

The staff was great at check-in and check-out and the bathroom was clean. Overall, not a great experience, but not absolutely horrible either.

The grounds are beautiful but rooms are outdated, staff was nice specially Patricia at the front desk!
Complementary breakfast is only a tiny cup of yogurt with fruit and toast, the rest of the menu is good but pricey compared to all other restaurants and places I visited while in BZE.

This hotel is a quiet gem off the beaten path. The staff are very friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. The pool area also great for a quick dip. The most surprising is the food at the restaurant - that red snapper was the best I ate across my travels to Belize!!!! The only negative is the water surrounding the area is unswimable. I stayed for one night and it was great for my time there.

Rooms are modest/rustic but clean. We were able to stay an extra night but had to move from a suite to a cabana. The cabana was not level and felt like you were leaning. The mattresses in both were old and had springs that poked you while sleeping. The staff at the cafe on Sunday were shady; they told us to bring them our food and drinks and they would cook/serve them for us. We never got them back, and they charged us for a meal! I would not go back again.

This was our final stop after travelling through Guatemala and Belize with our two teenage boys. We stayed in two rooms in the main building (not the cabins), which were clean and comfortable overall. However, the bathroom setup was unusual—the walls around the toilet didn’t extend to the ceiling, making it feel quite open and lacking privacy.

The morning coffee setup also left something to be desired. It felt more like a camping experience, with low-quality coffee and powdered milk, and an additional charge of $2 USD for a second cup.

We also found it a bit strange that the chef asked for a tip after providing what was described as a complimentary continental breakfast. More concerning, however, was that the same chef made inappropriate comments to our teenage sons, which made them uncomfortable enough to leave the pool area. That was disappointing and concerning.

Overall, the property feels somewhat run-down and could benefit from a refresh. The food was pretty good and the shuttle service was nice, but unfortunately, this visit fell short for us.

It was nice that they were able to accommodate our early arrival. The room was clean but there were several large ants this morning. Since it was windy a lot of items were rattling making it hard to get a good night sleep. It would have been nice to have a couple of complementary bottles of water for the price. The pool was rather cloudy.
The restaurant food is mediocre with overpriced US prices.

What an amazing experience. The staff were eager to share of their culture including the food and wildlife. The kids had a great time in the pool, hammocks and naming the iguanas at Sea Side. We went with our family of 4 and highly recommend a visit. Dave and the staff were so welcoming. Thanks again!

The property and room were clean enough. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. However, the other staff I encountered acted like I was an inconvenience.

Restaurant experience was strange. Ordered food and drinks. One plate arrived. Then drinks several minutes later. Then after first plate and drinks were consumed, the last plate arrived.

No on-site store for snacks and drinks, which was inconvenient because the hotel is in a gated area several hundred yards down a dirt road from civilization.

I was especially irritated because the hotel offered an airport shuttle pickup in the morning, which i booked. When the pickup time came and went there was no shuttle. I had to talk to the security guard at the gate, because the front desk was unmanned. The security guard actually drove us to the airport (thanks to him for going above and beyond). I was stressed because if your shuttle does not show up, you are too isolated to just flag down a taxi.

I booked this hotel due to proximity the the BZE airport, but in hindsight I should've somewhere with more services nearby.

Shuttle service available for a fee from and to airport. Road leading to Chateau was bumpy. Beautiful grounds by the water. It felt like a little village retreat of its own. Limited menu at the restaurant, but food was good. Must order in advance as it can take long time before you get your food. Staff was friendly. Room was clean as well as other areas of the property. Quiet and peaceful except for 1 night where we heard the neighboring hotel partying until 3am on a Saturday night. 24hr security at the gate was a plus. We inly stayed for 2 nights, we would definitely go here again.

We stayed one night at Seaside Chateau. We enjoyed the pool and the view of the water. Our cabin was comfortable, albeit basic.

The entire complex has seen better days and was in a state of disrepair. We ate at the restaurant, and although the food was fantastic, it was extremely slow and our family of 4 received our meals 30 minutes apart, so we ate separately. There was no apology or care when we raised concerns. I understand the hotel is for sale, so it made sense to us that the overall vibe was one of indifference.

Overall, our stay served it's purpose and it was fine (one night close to the airport), but we would not stay here again.

I sort of like the place - it was a mix of good and not so good. The location is pretty. We enjoyed the sunrise over the mangroves. Lots of birds and fish jumping at the mouth of the river. We stayed in a cabin which was nice thought we wished there was a coffee pot and some glasses. The place sort of feels like a slightly rough around the edges summer camp. Kayaks available, pool table and pool. Pool is nice but the wooden lounge chairs are falling apart and the cushions are nasty. The service at the small restaurant is so slow its almost comical. Took an hour to get a very mediocre dinner. They do better with breakfasts and the menu breakfasts looked good. We have the complimentary continental breakfast that consisted of 2 pieces of toast, a small quantity of fruit, a thimble-full of yoghurt and one (and only one) cup of coffee. Location is close to the airport but there is nothing else within walking distance. We arranged for a pick up at the water taxi terminal but no one show up - not that big of a deal as there are plenty of taxis at the terminal.

Seaside Chateau can provide airport and transfers within Belize city. It was an absolute pleasure to have Devon drive us to our Hol Chan tour, fish market and grocery shopping which saved us a huge amount of money and stress. The hotel is ideal for Lamanai/ Altun ha and has its own Manatee tour on the Belize river! Peaceful and serene with its own resturant and friendly staff. Great for short or long term stay. Really enjoyed the hammocks!

We rented the 3 bedroom house, which was very roomy and found to be very clean. Sure, it wasn't a 5-star hotel and it was a bit \"rustic\", but that's what we wanted. The location couldn't be beat - right up to the Caribbean Sea - doesn't get any better than that! The restaurant has great Belizean food and the grounds are lovely, as are the people who work there. The long driveway/road to the place has many potholes, but for me, it added to the charm of the place. This is where we will stay every time from now on and will recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone who is coming to visit Belize!

The hotel was located down a dirt/ gravel road that is in a state of extreme disrepair. If this had been my first stop in Belize I would have thought it impossible that I was on the right road.
The view was great and room was clean but lacked privacy, there were no privacy curtains so anyone could look in and the walls were so thin you could hear every conversation in the building and as for security the room had a basic door knob without a deadbolt that could be opened with a credit card and a portable lockbox was provided that could be carried. It also had a bathroom without a ceiling so all sound and odors traveled freely into main room.
The property appears to have been a single family home that has been divided into multiple units. While we were there the beach( if you can call it that was being repaired). We tried lounging by the pool but were forced inside by a constant onslaught from knats and no-see-yams.

There was no coffee in the morning although I waited more than an hour. Their machine was not hooked up or something. They offered instant coffee but there was no hot water for that except their offer to microwave water. Also, there was no hot water to shower. When asked the reception guy shrugged and said that's because they had too many guests. The food was overpriced. For US $24 I expected something better at dinner. The complimentary breakfast was just untoasted bread with like a spoon of yogurt and some fruit.

Beautiful property in the mangroves! We enjoyed staying in our private cabana (room was spotless, had strong a/c and a beautiful view of the water and beautiful landscaping). The staff were very kind and attentive, but exceptionally slow. Our dinner at 3:30pm took 2hrs to come out and was priced high in USD for tourists compared with the rest of Belize. Breakfast was nice and quicker... complimentary fruit/yogurt/toast/coffee and tea, with the option of purchasing larger breakfasts off the menu. The pool was refreshing and clean. Kayaking (free) was bot available due to windy conditions. We enjoyed playing pool in the games room upstairs. Our biggest advice for travellers is to bring EVERYTHING you need with you. Walking to the nearest store takes 40 minutes down a dirt road. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service, but you pay dearly for it ($20 USD for 2 people to the airport 15 min away, $35 USD per person to go to the shop/local restaurant and back). We only brought a couple of beers and a bag of chips with us and really wished we would have got provisions beforw coming, especially since the restaurant (open until 9pm) prices were so high. We would definitely return, but would shop first!

Check in staff could have been friendlier and made eye contact although we were able to check in at 1.30 p.m.
This resort requires taxi's for anything not available on site as it wasn't really within easy walking distance for any other restaurants or shops. We ate two meals at the restaurant. My burger was cremated but I wasn't charged for it. The other two lunches were OK, but we had to wait 75 minutes for the food to come. The evening meal was also very slow from ordering to eating. One meal wasn't hot when it was served but the chef took it back to the kitchen to reheat it. We ordered drinks but after two hours they hadn't arrived. The cabanas were OK for one night.

This is a small resort with cabins. It is by the Sea with beautiful views. The restaurant is a Tiki Hut building with two floors. It is spotless, and the staff is fantastic. I heard a knock at my door one night about 9 pm. It was two staff members from the restaurant; they had not seen me since breakfast and were checking to make sure I was okay. There is transportation available to take you to any excursions you may have booked. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is ok but overpriced. We splurged on a Romantic Cabin since it was my birthday and the room itself was nice enough, but they advertised a jetted tub. There was not a jetted tub, but claw foot tub that was not jetted.

There is a nice beach on property but swimming is not recommended due to the crocodiles so you can’t really do much beach activities.

The hotel’s location is pretty isolated which feels safe but it’s difficult to get off property without pre planning. The restaurant was very very slow. It took us 2.5 hours to get my birthday dinner from the time we sat down, our order was wrong and during that time we got eaten alive by bugs despite using bug spray. They can bring food to your room which we ended up doing for breakfast (not included and also overpriced). Your options are pretty limited and it’s more like bar food than a restaurant. The food was much more expensive than basically anywhere else we went and not nearly as high end. All in all overpriced for mediocre experience. The food itself was fine, but nothing about this experience was good.

It is convenient to the airport and it’s a $20 shuttle which is nice. Our shuttle was 10 minutes late and we shared a small SUV with another couple, but we had allowed enough time.

If I did stay here I would definitely get dinner before arrival and order breakfast to the room, but will likely try and stay elsewhere.

The cabins were so cute and welcoming. the location is absolutely beautiful and feels isolated even on the edge of the town. Staff was so welcoming and took care of us so well. The sunset cruise booked with Captain Dave that left from the resort was one of the highlights of our trip! Absolutely would stay here again

Save yourself the misery and book somewhere else! Room needed maintenance about 10 years ago. The mattress needed to be replaced about 10 years ago as the springs were actually showing through. Had to sleep on the couch…two people! The toilet seat was broken. The AC sounded like a jet engine. The lights from outside were like runway lights so it was like daytime all night long. Ridiculous
