Arrival to the hotel was greeted by staff with a welcome drink. Checkin was smooth and slick, rooms are large and provide all simple amenities(kettle / tea coffee /fridge / water (paid mini bar if you would like) shower gels/soaps etc even a beach towel). Breakfast really nice, we actually enjoyed all the local dishes. Beer at the hotel is slightly over priced compared to outside the hotel grounds. (Almost double) we didn’t eat any other meal than breakfast so cannot comment on this.
Staff super friendly like all of Thailand :-).

The Briza is in a great location for families wanting a quiet get away. There are plenty of restaurants, small shops and massage places right outside but no busy roads or traffic to contend with. It is right on a beautiful beach (although not quite as nice in low season as in high season as the tides are high). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice - they could do with painting the steps in the pool a different colour as we lost track of the number of times we cracked our shins/knees etc on them as they are hard to see! The water pressure was good in the bathroom and plenty of hot water, wifi great for most of the 2 weeks stay. Rooms are spacious and clean, nothing fancy but pleasant. TV reception and variety was poor - only an issue on the 2 rainy days we had. The kids playroom could also do with a revamp, there is really nothing in there for the kids to play with - again, only an issue if you have rain in low season. This was our second trip to the Briza and we would stay again. Also for anyone worrying about visiting in low season weatherwise we stayed for 2 weeks in august and had lots of lovely weather, yes some rain but only 3 bad days, one day all day and 2 other days with quite a lot and only one day that we didn't get in the pool at least once. If you have young children those wet days are a challenge that could be made easier with a better kids playroom but still worth going.

This hotel was wonderful, perfect for my family of 4 with a great room and proximity to the beach. The staff so friendly and always smiling and welcoming. Good breakfast and good value for money. I would highly recommend, especially as the area around the hotel is also so very nice. The restaurants and bars etc are traditional and the locals so very nice.

We stayed at the Briza in the off-season, so crowds were at a minimum. It was lovely having an expansive, quiet beach resort with so few people. The staff were exceptionally solicitous. Over our 10 nights there we stayed in 3 different types of rooms. We far preferred the rooms that overlooked the garden and the beach. We also stayed in a pool access room. It was very enjoyable being able to swim off our own deck, however those rooms tend to be noisier.

The village just outside the resort has about a dozen restaurants, a few shops and several massage salons. We enjoyed all of our various food experiences. Again, everyone, from hotel staff to restaurant waiters were so accommodating and friendly. Such great service! To have the smaller crowds you gamble with the weather. Our weather was a mixture of monsoon days and gorgeous sun. But if all you had was rain, 10 nights would have felt long. Off-season also meant no snorkeling, which we were looking forward to. However, a daily massage made it all seem like less of a loss.

We would highly recommend the Briza resort and we look forward to having a chance to return again soon! Off-season prices make it so affordable!

We just got home from an 11-night stay at The Briza and absolutely LOVED our stay! Even though it was the beginning of the rainy season, and it rained almost every day/evening, we still had plenty of opportunity to enjoy the tropical weather and sunshine. I would definitely go at this time of the year again as the rates are much less expensive. We are from British Columbia, Canada, and got an incredible deal out of Vancouver! The Briza itself far surpassed our expectations!!! The staff were extremely helpful at all times, the breakfast buffet was exceptional (although by the 11th day, we were getting a little tired of the same food items). But there’s plenty of breakfast and lunch foods to choose from and it’s open until 10:30am every morning. The pool was warm and clean, there were no crowds whatsoever, the beach is picturesque, and the little Khao Lak Village just steps from The Briza is so quaint and very much a cultural experience! The food in all the restaurants in the Village are extremely good and very reasonably priced. You could get a delicious Thai meal for $6 Canadian!!! Special mention to our favourite restaurant...’My Thai’. The hostess on the street in front of the restaurant was named “O” and her smile was infectious! On our last night, she presented me with a gift to take home. Overall, the Thai people are very friendly! The only complaint is the bed at The Briza. It was way too firm for my liking, and I strongly suggest the beds be updated. I will be back!!!

We spend 200 days a year in hotels, (on business trips) we needed to escape for a quiet night away from Phuket. We booked at Briza Beach Resort and were most happy with our first night , we extended and stayed 3 nights. Arriving early hoping for an early check in, we were greeted by very genuine happy staff who simply went out of their way to please. You can train staff to be polite but you cant force them to be happy, as are all of the staff here. The simple extras like, helpful security assisting with the car parking and then place a shade over our windscreen. The amazing Ms Duen at breakfast including table service to pour your coffee. One wonders why this hotel is so well run, maybe they are not governed by standard training/rules as are the big hotel chains. Access to outside food and services is all within walking distance in a peaceful quiet village. The only negative is most of the shop staff in the village harassing every tourist, if only they would realise that turns most people away. Thanks to all the Briza staff and managers for a wonderful stay, we will return.

Good stay overall, but could be improved.

Good location, lovely beach. Our room was very tired, needed updating. Our air conditioning was very poor in our room, WiFi, did disappear in and out frequently. Breakfast selection good.Good local bars, restaurants, money exchange. Stayed for 11 nights. Not a lot of entertainment at hotel, mainly suited for couples.

Nice hotel on the beach

Hotel was right on the beach with many swimming pools. The breakfast was amazing. However, the bed was extremely hard and not comfortable. The hotel was at the end of the street so very quite but also a close walk to many restaurants. It was a short tuk tuk drive to the main strip which had all the markets and vendors and restaurants. This hotel felt like a resort, had everything you needed And was nice to be on a quite beach that wasn't to busy. I would stay here again!

The hotel is in a great location for families. Right on a beautiful beach and with a 200m strip of restaurants, massage, minimarts etc right outside. Only downside is that a lot of things close quite early eg massage places closed at 10pm even in peak season.

The hotel itself is ok. We stayed in a terrace room on the beach side of the resort (not the newer side across the road). The room was a decent size and the terrace was great. The bathroom was a good size however the water pressure was terrible. Also, mostly there was no hot water or if we were lucky it was lukewarm... had to boil the kettle for my daughters baths.

The pools were nice but could do with a good clean, the big kids pool was pretty disgusting and the main pool (which also had a kids area) had lots of sand in it. It would be good to have a towel exchange somewhere as you only got clean pool towels if you left them in your room in a pile on the floor/in bath.

Breakfast was ok, not the best we have had but a reasonable variety. Most annoying thing was that if you left your table to get something they often cleared everything away before you had finished it even if you left bag/sunnies at the table showing you hadn't left.

The staff were ok but not the friendliest we have come across and often were seen on their phones.

The kids play room was pretty shoddy with no decent toys and a lot smaller than it appears on the website.

Awesome resort for a relaxing stay

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a beautiful beach front room with an awesome view.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Lovely clean and tidy resort. The beach was not too crowded and so made for a peaceful stay. It was nice to be able to walk a short distance from the resort to the local little shops and restaurants. We would definitely love to come back here. It was only a 15 minute taxi ride to the local town.
The only negative was that there were a few little things that needed some maintenance work... ie we noticed that some of the balcony railings needed repairing and the couch on our balcony was missing some slats underneath the cushion and so was unsafe to sit on.

We found this hotel to ok but slightly tired. We did not stay in the new block across the road so cannot comment on that facility.

Our room was clean, the shower temperature was difficult to control and the barthroom sink only delivered cold water.

Our biggest problem was the bed which was very hard and felt like we where sleeping on thick plywood. the staff tried their best by using multiply duvets to improve the bed, but what was really needed was a proper mattress.

Nice quiet hotel on the beach

Situated before Khao Lak on the Phuket airport side, only be a few kms before the town. Like the rest of the immediate area it’s for family’s or people who want a quiet visit to the beach. There is transport if you want to check out the town or the tourist sites. I ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meals. It was fine. Nothing fancy and relatively inexpensive. There are a few shops in the surrounding village for supplies if you need them. My room was ok however the pillows were uncomfortable.

Quiet location right on the beach

Stayed Nov 2017 for 8 nights. Booked beachfront room with great view of ocean. Room as very spacious & terrace had table & chairs plus 2 comfy lounges.
Breaky included & ample selection. Staff replenishing food was a bit slow & had to poke my head into the kitchen a couple of times to ask someone if they could fill some items.
Staff very friendly & ladies cleaning room were excellent.
Bed was a bit hard, but solved with putting doona on top of mattress.
Had drinks at bar couple of times - beers could be colder - hubby sent back the ones that were warm, but really didn’t improve much, so we drank at bars outside of the hotel.
Overall though we enjoyed our stay in Khao Lak.

Loved this hotel and its wonderfull helpful staff. My husband and I spent 8 days here in a pool access room. Breakfast was good. We had one evening meal here which was enjoyed the food reasonably priced. Local wine about 250 maybe 300 bart. Happy hour foreception wine 7 -8pm! Imported wine expensive everywhere lovely, beer and cheap. Plenty of resurants and supermarkets couple of mins walk from hotel. All inexpensive food. Lovely beach. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Great holiday

Had a great time at BRIZA . We stayed for a week, having been here 3 times before we noticed a lot of improvements, The beach area now has a retaining wall to stop sea coming onto lawns out back.A lot of painting to buildings and it was nice to have some of staff remember us.The township has a lot of new shops with an extra 4 tailor shops and many new grocery and eating places.Great place to stay Will be
back next year for our holidays.

Amazing hotel, near the beach.

I loved my staying in the briza. We had a problem with the staff when we got to the hotel but when the manager came everything was fine. The room it's big and super clean. I was really impress with the wifi, it's fast!! Warm bath, great pool and room service. There's also a little city near the hotel, very nice people!! I book all the tours near there, it was so fun! It cost about 250~300bth to go to the city of Khao lak from the hotel. Food and tour are very expensive in Khao lak you compare to phi phi and Phuket but there's no better beach than similian, I loved there. Oh, don't book tours with the hotel, you can find cheaper in the city.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful, quiet beach

We loved our 8 night stay at the Briza in a pool access room. The room was exactly as pictured on the site and even more spacious than we expected.
The staff was mostly excellent and seemed happy to be there, which we did not experience in many other hotels in Thailand.
The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and was well prepared and stocked.
Can't wait to come back and stay at the Briza again!

Our room was spacious but with a strange layout, the wash basin was in the bedroom not the bathroom and only had a cold water supply. The bathroom had a large shower and a strange uncomfortable square shaped bath.
The staff were polite and helpful and any request was quickly dealt with.
The breakfast was hit and miss buffet style, any items that ran out were not quickly replenished and the quality at the egg station varied depending on which member of staff was cooking.
Overall a pleasant experience and would consider using this hotel again.

Outstanding property with amazing service!

This is one of the best stay i had in my many trips in Thailand (around 50 properties visited across the country).
Very nice and spacious room, great hotel compound, multiples pools, the hotel is right on the beach, i could hear the waves from my room at night.
It's a little outside the main Khao Lak city, but has a series of very nice restaurants less than 100m away as well as several convenience stores opened late at night as well as travel agents, massage shops and a taxi booth with many options for tours.
Excellent hotel in a great environment.
And what made the stay truly amazing was the level of service: especially the great reception team, all speaking perfect English, very proactive and efficient for all requests.
Truly impressed with this property and its teams!

Quit and restful

I loved the location of the hotel, it was quit and on the beach. The two pools where amazing and well kept. The rooms were nice and clean as well. I only wish we would of came in the summer months from Feb.-April maybe the beach would have been more blue, ( but that has nothing to do with the hotel). The staff was very friendly to meet all our needs. The breakfast Was OK. The western style breakfast was better than the Thai stuff they had. I would stay here again. It is about 1 hour and 15 from the airport. I would recommend renting a car, as the taxi services are much more costly in Phuket in general, and access to them around the hotel isn't great. We had a rental car so it was nice.
The only thing I would say is the small play area they had for kids smelled like mold, so we didn't use it.
Overall we were very happy with this hotel. I would recommend it if you want more of a quit relaxing place to stay.

Staff were happy to help and always smiled. Breakfast was a good selection of Thai and western food. The resort is in a small beach area with lots of restaurants and mini marts around. Great place to really relax.

The Briza Beach is everything we had hoped for, very peaceful , perfect for relaxing in the sun,. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful , always with a ready smile, the garden area and beach are picture postcard pretty.Prices for food and drink are a little on the high side compared to the places outside the hotel but not extortionate , overall a stunning place for a very reasonable price.

You can do better!

This hotel is under a progressive renovation at present and it is sorely needed. Our sink didn't drain, the room smelt musty and the bowls for breakfast were mostly chipped but...... Rooms are of a good size and very clean. Staff were good. Pools and beach were great... We didn't complain about the shortcoming of our room and would say we enjoyed our stay but would not return.

This Hotel was quite nice. Good pool and on the beach front. The room was a good size but was a bit musty smelling. The resort was about 5 klms from the main shops at Khaolak and most of the guests were overweight Europeans. Don't stay here if you want excitement or night life.

We just love The Briza Beach Resort Khao Lak

We stayed here in April and as well loved it so much, we stayed again in September. We met the new manager who never failed to remember our sons name and say hello. We also had the pleasure of being served breakfast again by Duen and North who every morning had such beautiful smiles on their faces and were so thrilled to see us and even remembered us from back in April which was amazing. We will be definitely back again as we love the beach, pool and hotel so much and you have the nicest staff which is just wonderful for us tourists. Oh an if anyone goes for a stroll on the beach at dusk to night you will see firefly's dancing in the bushes near the rocks. It was truly devine.

Booked a room at briza beach resort beachfront deluxe room.. It is just 50m away from the beach.. You can hear the pounding sound of the waves.. It's so de-stressing as we felt so close to nature.. Staffs were friendly n warm.. 1st night stayed at level 2 of the beachfront not very ideal as whenever we would like to hit the beach, we have to go down the steps.. As for 2nd night onwards the ground level rooms r vacant we request for a swap of rooms staff instantly accede to our request.. It's really a better choice.. Staff Surin GM and team was nice to even brought the birthday cake I requested to surprise my partner at 12midnight.. It really WOW me all this small little touches make a wonderful stay at briza beach resort.. Place was quiet n safe.. Will definitely go back..

Two Deluxe Seafront Rooms for my wife and I and my two daughters. The reason for the getaway was that my wife and I were getting married on the beach at the hotel. In advance to arrival we had booked all arrangements and received confirmation too, but we realized when talking to the manager that nothing basically was ready. After two days of unnecessary stress we finally got married and all worked out well.
Overall the impression was average and okay, but not excellent as per rating.

Quiet area, beautiful resort.

Briza is situated with 3 other hotels in a village 3 km from Khoalak. Village has good range tourist bookings, massages, tailors, restaurants, general stores, money change. Tuk Tuk into Khaolak and markets $6 and worth a visit, further on markets and tsunami museum. Plenty to do in area or laze by the pools. Beach is on Andaman Sea, right beside Kholak National Park. Staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Far quieter than the frantic Phuket area and a beatuiful family destination.

Everything was more or less as you would expect. The minor niggles are not really something to worry about. One comment I would make is that it is not favouring the British visitor, as there is no tourist information available in the English language, plenty is available in German, but none in English. The same would apply to the morning newspapers in the breakfast room, no British paper is available, but there were lots of German ones. There is not a trip leaflet display stand either, you either have to find a knowledgeable receptionist or seek out the information yourself in the local area.

Love the Pool Access Room

This is my 3rd time to Briza for 7 nights. For the price paid, this is a value for price hotel. I believe the resort has done regular maintenance as the resort look reasonably new on the exterior. However, I do hope that regular maintenance is done in the room especially in the toilet (shower area and the water cannister).

The breakfast is a reasonable spread, and the bread, toast and rolls are freshly baked daily. The breakfast crew area group of happy staff especially those in yellow uniform which make me happy to see them every morning. N (the breakfast staff as shown on his name tag) is exceptionally friendly and heartwarming to chat with him.

A few things that I hope the hotel will improve on:
1) change the torned bedsheets and floor towels
2) housekeeping to keep stockof clean small and floor towels as my room were not place with the floor towel and the housekeeper told me that they had ran out.

As I'm not a great fan of sun tanning by the beach, thus I have no issue of the sun deck chairs being reserved in early morning. But this happen almost in most of the resorts I have been to, the guests would reserved the chairs early in the morning and will use it after their breakfast and it happen here too.

Lovely for the price

We ended up getting a room with the pool in front of the door. It was nice to slip in out of your patio. They also had a nice basic room and basic comfort. The whole complex is pretty large, and a bit different in building type. The staff was friendly, and they have a nice pool and bar area, with direct access to the beach. Make sure to try and catch happy hour prices, as drinks are too expensive otherwise.

great stay

Enjoyed our stay at briza. Everything from the staff, location etc was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised at the upgrade we got from the hotel. The stay has made our trip even more enjoyable and my birthday unforgettable. However on the flip side, do be mindfull of the key card as we had to pay quite an expensive lesson for the lost key card, 2500 baht, which is quite steep. That aside, we will still like to say A big thank uou to all staff at briza!

pool on your balcony

We stayed in the Briza for two nights. Thought the staff were great, upgraded to a pool access room, so you can step into for a swim in the morning or evening from your balcony, loved it! The room was clean, good shower, comfy bed. A quiet enough area, with a few bars and restaurants just outside of hotel. Reception looked after our bags even though we had checked out and gone to the similar islands for two days. Highly recommended!

Nice, but totally exaggerated prices at restaurant

The hotel is nice, the staff VERY friendly and helpful. The only down side is the very exaggerated prices at the restaurant and the pool bar. It's more than double the prices of the local restaurants which are a few hundred meters away and where you eat very well. I understand a price difference but not of that importance.

Great value but not if you like a good gym

Very quiet in the off season (we were there in late July) - which was great for us. We often had the (well maintained) pool/s to ourselves. Breakfast is very good and staff friendly. A few families and couples from Europe and the odd bus load of Chinese tourists who stayed overnight.
There was a lot of sprucing up happening (mainly painting), so I imagine it will look tip top by the high season.
The bar was closed (except of you were dining at night), which meant that you needed to go outside the resort if you wanted to just have a few drinks. Fortunately the resort is surrounded by a few nice (and cheap) restaurants and bars.
The gym was disappointing though - most of the machines needed servicing /repair. No weight machines either. Only one set of dumb bells. Perhaps they will get the equipment attended to before the high season.
Overall it was great value, especially as it included breakfast, which was help yourself and lots of variety. they had a chef on hand making fresh omelettes and eggs to order.
There were no hidden costs on check-out.

Located a little far out compared to the center. The beach is beautiful, but not child friendly. The beach is better closer to the city and north of the city. Cosy rooms in the old part of the hotel. The hotel's restaurant and bar is not very cozy and not crowded. Fitness room is a joke, the equipment is old and sparingly, but there is a good running route along the beach. Good massage on the beach. Can be recommended.
The staff speaks almost no English, and it requires great patience to just order a bottle of water or asking for directions.
There are a few nice restaurants in the neighborhood, but the food and the selection is much better in the center. Sala Thai restaurant in Khao Lak main road can be recommended. Super delicious seafood at an incredibly low price.

Alltid trevligt att komma tillbaka. Dock har priserna ökat markant sista 2 åren. Personalen är alltid trevliga och rummen välstädade och rymliga.
Markant ökning av ryssar på hotellet vilket inte är kanske ofrånkomligt men kan vara en förklaring till ökningen av priset.
Vi kommer tillbaka men om det blir allt för många ryssar kommer man välja bort detta hotell.

Wir waren bereits zum dritten Mal im Briza Resort. Alles super Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück immer mit frischem Pbst und Eierspeisen nach Wunsch.
Es gibt für jeden etwas.
Strand sehr schön Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten inklusive Seven Eleven fussläufig zu erreichen.

Två fantastiska veckor i Khaolak, Briza Beach

Vi har haft två helt underbara veckor här på Briza. Jättegod frukost. Servicen har varit fantastisk. Det är lugnt och skönt. Läget och stranden är inget man kan säga något negativt om. Hotellet ligger lite utanför Khaolak, men det gör bara att det blir ännu lugnare. Vill man in till centrum, är det bara 5 min med taxi.
Om det är något man kan säga som kanske behöver förbättras, är att det inte fanns så många parasoll vid stranden. Man fick stå upp väldigt tidigt, om man skulle ha en möjlighet att paxa en sådan. Många som vaknar tidigt tydligen, och går och lägger handuk på solsängar. Men bara en bagatell i det stora och hela. Vi är jättenöjda!!!!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön,allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen…
Die Lage des Hotel ist direkt am Meer.Der Strand ist sehr schön -es gibt einige andere schöne Hotels dort,die man bei einem Strandspaziergang gut sieht und man könnte dort auch einen Drink nehmen…
Der kleine Ort hat einige schöne Restaurants und das Essen ist einfach ganz fantastisch!!
Überall werden Massagen angeboten und man kann sich wunderbar verwöhnen lassen.
Ausflüge werden vom Hotel und von anderen Anbietern zu fairen Preisen angeboten.Sie sind sehr professionell und gut organisiert!Ein Ausflug zur Phang Nga Bucht ist ein absolutes „Muss“!Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub mit fantastischem Essen und sehr netten Menschen-man fühlte sich willkommen…

We really enjoyed our stay at The Briza. The rooms size was adequate for 4 persons ( 2 adults And 2 kids.
There’s 3 different pools and the beach a stone throw away.
Just outside the resort there was a host of restaurants and shopping possibilities.

Jätte fint hotell, lugnt bra frukost. Många bra billiga restauranger nere vid vattnet. Finns flera restauranger och affärer bredvid hotellet samt mycke billig massage både på stranden och bredvid hotellet. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell. Den enda negativa var att det inte fanns så många solstolar och dom blev paxade tidigt på morgnarna

Ende Mai war kaum was los. Man wird dort sehr zuvorkommend behandelt, allerdings waren sie nicht bereit dazu einen „late check-out“ für uns vor Ort zu buchen weil „alles ausgebucht“ ist, was absolut nicht der Fall war.
Transport von und zum Flughafen hat problemlos geklappt.
Frühstück sehr reichhaltig und für jeden was dabei.
Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und liegt direkt am Strand.
Der Fitness bereich ist allerdings nicht zu empfehlen, dreckig, verrostet und wenig Auswahl an Geräte

We tried to check in 1.5 hours before check in time but were told that our room wasn't ready yet. We had to sit in the library until 2 o clock while watching other guests getting checked in to their rooms. Our bags were left unattended outside of the room for at least half an hour when we saw them getting taken away. When getting escorted to our room they asked where our bags were, so there seemed to be a lot of confusion. Our room was never cleaned in the morning. Often it had not been cleaned when we came back at 3 pm. There is also a lack of pool chairs so if you want to sit by the pool you need to get a pool access room. There are much better beaches in Khao Lak than the beach right by the hotel.

Rigtig lækkert hotel med god service - stranden er outstanding - en solnedgang som denne skal man lede længe efter - rene og rummelige værelser.
Morgenmadsbuffetten er noget af det bedre.
Rigtig hyggeligt lokalområde , hvor der også findes gode muligheder for god mad, massage og lidt småbarer.
