Beautiful property BUT full of steps and absolutely no accessibility for people with mobility challenges.
great staff, and really lovely beach dining. But moving from ones room to the beach is a lot of walking and steps
it’s an expensive resort given it doesn’t have enough arrangement to get around for elderly people.

A tour I booked included a stay at this resort, and I needed to add on an extra evening due to my flight arrangements. Rooms are clean, and I’ve enjoyed relaxing by the pool all day as I adjusted to time change. Looking forward to spending a few more days here.

Stayed in a beach front villa which was very good.check in staff are very good having said that all staff are friendly and pleased to help.breakfast buffet is ok with a reasonable selection to accommodate just about everyone.

We had a fantastic stay at Khao Lak Laguna Resort. The rooms were excellent, and we stayed in very high-end bungalows just a minute's walk from the beach. The breakfast buffet, included in our room, was great and offered a variety of delicious options.

The resort's location is ideal, with just a five-minute walk to town where it's easy to catch a "song thaew" (taxi) to nearby sites. While the stretch along the main road in Khao Lak isn't very nice, staying down on the beach made all the difference. The beach area is perfect for relaxation, and there are countless great diving options nearby.

The resort features two nice pools right by the beach, and they offer free boogie boards for ocean fun. Although the immediate beach area isn't the nicest, a short five-minute walk takes you to a much nicer stretch of beach.

They also have free bikes available, and I recommend using the mountain bikes as the locks on the more leisurely bikes can get stuck easily. The service from the front desk and restaurant staff was excellent, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Terrible check in experience. Waited a long time..they wouldn’t show us to our room and we didn’t get a welcome drink or towel (others did). They then tried to put us in a triples bed room with 2 single beds pushed together.

I arranged the romantic dinner..and it was a surprise.. yet TWICE staff approached me in the days before the meal to confirm details of the surprise meal.

We had the first room directly on the main road which was to loud, then we changed to an other room, but this one had a smelly bath room. We changed again the room, but then the shower was cold, they tried to fix it but it didn’t work. Also the stuff was not switched on and not as friendly as you would expect.

This hotel is catering to package tourist from (northern) Europe. No 'Thainess' to it, instead a sad mix of Chinese, mediterranean and Thai decor! Guests staying just for a couple of nights, as we did, not very welcome. Breakfast bland and uninspired, as is the food served at the pool restaurant. Very slow service! We, an expat family living in Bangkok, booked this hotel based on its reviews for 3 nights on a road trip through southern Thailand and it was, by far, the worst hotel we ever stayed in in SEA!

Perfect stay for couples or families

We would definitely stay again. Friendly staff and lovely premises. Not too big or too small. Love it had big glass doors to see outside and good size balcony to sit on. Rooms a very good size. Location on the 'bay' perfect, as with the beach.

Nice Resort on the Beach

The staff are all very friendly and the location of the resort is great. The grounds are beautiful and we loved having a bungalow right on the beach. While I understand that it's essentially in a jungle we had too many ants crawling around the room. They need to spray or use traps for ants. When the waves would crash hard at night we had lots of big ants running out of the trim and down the walls. They were on the floor and even found one smashed in bed with us.

This was our second time in Khao Lak but the first at the Laguna Resort. We found the hotel excellent and very accommodating. Had booked through Expedia and within days if the booking I realised I had booked the wrong room. I contacted Expedia to change it. They got back to me to say I could change the room when I got there. Unfortunately there was no record of this call and the hotel was fully booked. They made every effort and after 2 days we were moved to the room of our choice. The busy road did not detract from our stay and once in the hotel's grounds you were unaware of the road. we ate in the hotel at lunch time and whilst it was more expensive than local restaurants it was not exorbatant. We'd go back.

THE PERFECT PLACE FOR WHAT WE WANTED !

We needed a place to unwind and relax and Khaolak laguna resort fitted the bill perfectly, totally pampered by the excellent staff and peaceful surroundings on the waterfront with a good swimming beach.
We had a oriental villa 30 metres from the beach which was spacious, with good facilities, clean and well presented.The gardens are vast and well kept making for pleasant walks. A good bar and restaurant on the waters edge makes for pleasant evenings and socialising with other guests from Europe ,UK and many other countries.
Food at this resort is excellent and fairly priced which is good because when it is very hot, for us, being in the older age group, it is quite testing to walk to the nearby village. We managed the many steps at the hotel relatively easily but for handicapped people it would be very testing.
We wish to thank all the staff and management for your personal attention during our 8 night stay and WE WILL BE BACK.

3 out of 4 bathrobes went missing and they tried to charge. I asked them to check my bags which they did and duly rescinded their charge. Just plain embarrassing for everyone.

Not as good as Phuket Laguna Resort

Having stayed a few years ago at Phuket Laguna Resort, we were a little disappointed with some aspects of Khao Lak Laguna Resort - breakfast buffet was not as amazing a spread as we'd experienced in Phuket; there was no kid's club and check in experience was poor. However, overall we still had a good stay - there was a choice of uncrowded pools; rooms were spacious & comfortable; and Khao Lak centre was conveniently within walking distance.

Great Hotel in Great Location

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and well laid out. We were travelling with our baby and there was a very comfy and safe travel cot already set up in the room when we arrived.The hotel is just at the start of the main strip in Khao Lak so all the shops and restaurants are right on your doorstep. The resort itself and the beach in front of the hotel is peaceful though. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Standard resort with great location

Expedia.com website promised ocean view from Siam Chalets. I contacted Expedia twice and hotel twice in advance to make sure this is true. No answer from either. No ocean views either even though we were able to move away from a "cellar" room.
My plan was to make a study on hi-quality resort. General Manager of Laguna Resort didd not want to meet, nor (s)he replied to my notes.
Airport transportation I bought from Expedia was cancelled last minute. No refund possible in realistic way, since there will be more ecpenses than refund for non-US clients.

What a find!

Can sum the hotel up in one word - WOW - The location is perfect, about 500 metres from the village centre so quiet - All staff were polite and helpful, breakfast was everything any one would want, fruit, bread, eggs cooked to order by a chef behind the counter, Thai breakfast selection was different, nice alternative. Pool area was always clean, never had a problem with 'reserved' sunbeds, but we were not there in peak season, next to a wonderful beach if you want a walk only issue I had was wifi did not log in in the room, mentioned this at reception and next day working fine, so no complaints with that. The grounds and numerous ponds and man made streams running round the hotel gardens were well kept, with workers cleaning rubbish and leaves out at least weekly, qso the gold fish in them were well looked after. Cannot think of anything bad to say about this hotel or staff. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Khao Lak Laguna Resort was good all round and even excellent in some respects. Can't really fault it for anything.

We had a Siam chalet. It's the cheapest room type. The room is large and has all you will need.

I calculated that I have now visited 17 hotels on the various beaches of Thailand. Laguna makes TOP3.

Recommended.

Good value, but eat elsewhere

Compared to some of the other resorts that I'd stayed at in the vicinity, I must say that this resort was a very good value if all you expect to do is veg out and enjoy their very good and reasonably priced spa. The only two problems I'd experienced was trying to get a hold of the front desk before 9AM or after 7PM local time. While it seems there are people there, no one answered the phones outside of those hours. The other problem was the restaurant, closed at 7PM, making it difficult to grab a bite to eat after arriving in the evening. There are places across the main street that will still serve after 7, but thought it was a little annoying to have to find somewhere to eat on a resort.

THEY made a mistake in booking 2 single beds, we had to pay ekstra 1000 baht for double bed.

Will never go there again, compared to the choice of staying at all the other great resorts in Thailand.

サイアムシャレーに宿泊。近代的な作りではないため、ドアの鍵がかけにくく、何度か無施錠になってしまった。
部屋は広く、きれいに清掃されたフローリングは快適だが、トイレ便器はきちんと掃除をしてほしい。テラスも広くのんびりできるが、隣室とわずかな仕切りがあるだけで、プライベート間に欠けてしまう。
朝食会場は多数の席があり、ストレスを感じない。手づくりパンケーキはとても美味しい。
敷地は広く、喧噪もないので、静かに過ごすには良いホテルです。周辺も飲食店はコンビニもあるので、ダウンタウンに行かなくても、必要なものは揃えられます。
不満を2点言えば、スタッフが挨拶しない事。サービス業か？と疑問がわくほど挨拶をしない。もう一つはハウスクリーニングが朝9時過ぎに来る。ちょっと早すぎる。

The mattress was too soft and the pillow too hard for our liking, therefore only 4 stars for the comfort. Location was great, nice pool, direct access to the ocean.

大廳接待人員很客氣，服務也不錯，房間位置也不錯，但是房間設施老舊，地板還有突起釘子，差一點刺傷腳，冷氣會漏水，漏到櫃子裡保險箱的位置，差一點把護照弄濕，沒有熱水，服務人員來調整了幾次，都還祇有溫水，陽台開放式，和鄰居對望，沒有隱私，房間門太小，進出不方便，很多缺點。

Hotel sehr gut gelegen, außerhalb mehrere günstige Restaurants. trotz Aufenthalt im mai wetter hervorragend, 2mal nachmittags und manchmal abends oder in der nacht regen.pool, anlage sehr gepflegt. frühstück gut, bei warmen gerichten fehlt die Auswahl. preise im Hotel für getränke und essen fand ich zu hoch. draußen wesentlich günstiger. beim frühstück nerven die vögel die sobald man was neues holt am Teller sitzen und klauen.

日本人スタッフがいてゆったり滞在

メインストリート沿いにあり、空港から向かってカオラック入り口のほうにあります。
ヴィラも含め大きなリゾートですが時期によってですが比較的すいてました。
ビーチベッドとか部屋タオルなど不足、リクエスト等すぐ対応してもらえました。

全体的に欧米ゲストが多いのでのんびりしてます。子連れにも優しい。ただ階段が多いです。怪我してたのでちょっと不便でした。

ビーチ状態は潮の満ち引きで全く違う表情になります。ひくと遠浅でかなり沖まで行けるし、満ちてるときはビーチベッドに波が打ち付けてる感じでした。ベッドがいっぱいになることもない、ディナーもビーチ際にセッティングしてくれてます。
朝食とかもビーチ際会場だったらうれしいかな？と思いました。

メインストリートスーパーマーケットまでは徒歩10-15分。暑いときはしんどいですが、お店に見ながらだとすぐです。バイクに乗れたらアクティブに動けると思います。

部屋はメイン棟のトリプルでしたが広かったです。フローリングなのでゴミホコリなどが取りきれないてこともありますが、清掃はきちっとしています。無料の水が瓶仕様なので外に持ち出しにくいのでそこはマイナスです。

I really enjoyed my stay at Khaolak Laguna Resort - love the areas and facilities, fresh and clean air with nature surroundings. I was so lucky to have an opportunity to learn weaving too!

Wir haben ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und grossem Frühstücksbüffet vorgefunden. Die Zimmer waren sehr gross und sauber. Es gibt verschiebene Aktivitäten im Hotel. Leider ist die Bar jeweils bereits um 23:00 geschlossen. Wir würden wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Top Hotel ohne wenn und aber

Der Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt. Taxis direkt vor dem Hotel, gleich ums Eck beginnt die "Hauptstraße", wo man shoppen und was essen gehen kann, Nationalpark und Bang Niang-Markt nicht weit entfernt, leider war das Meer während unseres Aufenthaltes wegen hohen Wellen nicht zum Baden geeignet. Spa ist sehr empfehlenswert.

静かで安心!

グリーンシーズン(雨季)に一週間滞在しました。残念ながらビーチは波が高くは入れませんでしたが、逆にその高波を見つつ、インフィニティプールでのんびりできました。夕日は水平線に沈む状態は見られませんでしたが、その過程はとても美しかったです。
ツーリストはドイツ人とフランス人がほとんどです。一週間滞在した期間中、アジア人は我々のほか日本人が2組のみ。うるさく勝手な振る舞いをする観光客はおらず、とても品がよく上質なリゾートでした。
ホテル内ではウィークデーに日替わりで無料のアクティビティがあります。また併設のSPAもホテル内のSPAとは思えないほどの安価でした(街中のマッサージよりちょっぴりだけ高いというイメージ)。朝食をいただくレストランは天井が高く、お料理も質・量ともに申し分ありませんでした。
とても美しい声でなく鳥がいます。その鳥の声で目覚める朝は最高です。また虫は非常に少なくハエ・蚊には苦労しませんでした。ただしお部屋の中で甘いものをの食べ残し・バナナの皮などを放置するととても小さなアリが集まってきます。
前述の無料のアクティビティとは別に、やはりウィークデーに日替わりでクッキング教室を有料で行っています。本場のタイ料理をシェフから直接学べ、修了書もいただきました。作った料理は夕食として食べられるのでとてもよかったです。
とても安全な街ですので、日本人には安心できるリゾートだと思います。

従業員の方が皆親切。気さくに声をかけてくれたり、チェックアウト後の荷物の預かりもスムーズでした。日本人のスタッフが１名いらっしゃいます。
２０周年と聞きましたが、古さを全く感じません。

日本人スタッフがいて心強い。
スタッフのみなさんが皆フレンドリーでよかった。
シミランパールビラに５泊宿泊しました。プール、ビーチが目の前で子連れには環境が良かった。
また、町にも徒歩10分程度で、ランチやマッサージに出るにも便利。
ビラのデッキから海に沈む夕日が見れます。

徒歩圏内で行ける店が多かったです

普通に歩いて15分圏内に幾つものお店があり、外食には困らないホテルでした。
スタッフの雰囲気も良く、スコールさえなければ非常に良かったです。これは雨期でしたので仕方ないのですが。
あまり騒がしいグループも無く落ち着いたリゾートです。ただ、プールを監視するスタッフはいないので小さい子連れの場合は良く見ておくべきかもしれないです。

オフシーズンでも楽しめました

シミラン・パール・ヴィラに６泊しました。多少古臭さを感じますが、目の前にビーチが広がる景色に、のんびりと海を眺めながら過ごすバカンスには、最新式の設備も不要かもしれません。
初めてのカオラック滞在でしたので、日本人スタッフのいるホテルということで選びましたが、肝心の日本人スタッフは休暇中で一人もいませんでしたので滞在中は会話は英語でした。滞在客も６日間、日本人には一人も会いませんでしたので仕方ないことかも知れません。街かなでも日本人とは会うこともなく、少々の英会話は必要です。ただし、毎日タオルと一緒に取り換えてくれる備え付けのナイトウエアが置いてなかったり、ナントンの街で買ってきた果物をカットするナイフを借りようとしても、オペレーターの英語の聞き取りが悪いのか、私の発音が悪いのか一苦労しました。
ホテルの中では、朝ヨガ教室をやっていたり、野菜のカービング教室を無料で開催しており参加しましたが、見よう見まねで楽しめました。やはり少なくとも２週間ほど滞在する欧米人向けのリゾートという感じでした。
バンニアンでは毎週月・水・土には大きな青空市場（チョンファーマーケット）が開かれていて、屋台の食事と安物の買い物はここで済ませられます。また、ナントンやバンニアンには小さいなオーガニックを扱う店も数店あり、ここの商品はプーケット空港より３分の２に値段でした。

オリエンタルテイストのアットホームなホテルでした★

とても広い敷地のホテルでした。まるで植物園の様に色々な動植物が見られました。今回泊まったヴィラは、ビーチのすぐ側で、波音と、鳥の鳴き声が、非日常感をとても味わえました。スタッフの方々も、とてもフレンドリーで、アットホームなホテルです。カオラックに行く際はまた是非泊まりたいです。それと、日本人スタッフの黒田さんも、とてもご親切で日本人には心強いです。ホスピタリティ溢れる素晴らしいホテルでした。

Rapport qualité/ prix très correct.

Les chambres situées ds le bâtiment coté rue sont un peu bruyantes.
lorsque nous sommes 3 dans une chambre, il peut manquer un peu d’étagère pour ranger ses vêtements , tout dépend de sa garde robe !!!

リラックスできる落ち着いたホテル

2016年1月に4泊。事前に空港－ホテル間の送迎をお願いしていたため、専用送迎車にて快適に移動。2日間はダイビングで日中は外出していたが、ホテル内は多くは年配の欧米人が宿泊しているようで、静かな雰囲気で過ごすことができました。日本人スタッフが常駐しており日本人には安心です。

Mycket trevligt hotell!

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Hotellet var fint inrett i traditionell thailändsk stil och väldigt fräscht. Det är placerat i utkanten av Khao lak centrum: fin strand och nära till allt. Hotellområde har en lummig känsla och trädgården är välskött. Det råder en lugn stämning på området, så inget hotell för ungdomar eller barnfamiljer, då havet på stranden dessutom snabbt blir djupt och det är en stenigare del av stranden. Rummen är stora och rymliga och i badrummet fanns både en sep dusch och ett sep badkar. Sängarna är bekväma. Städningen var oklanderlig! Frukosten var helt ok utbudsmässigt med en äggstation där man kunde få nystekta ägg och omeletter. Det enda negativa var att wifi kom och gick, och var väldigt långsamt.

Kanon fint hotell i bra läge nära till allt.
Stora rum och sköna sängar.

Inget partyställe direkt och lite för lugnt för min smak i hotellbaren på kvällarna.
