This is an old establishment, it has had some minor basic renovations, but overall is in a poorly maintained condition. No power outlets next to the bed, loose electrical wires hanging in a number of places, can’t block out the light from the window above the door, shower head won’t stay still, toilet seat loose, bathroom tap loose. Three levels, no lift. Not enough parking, went out for dinner and couldn’t get a car park when returned. On the good side the queen bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were in good condition. Front desk person was friendly and helpful, moved from level 3 to level 2 to assist with stairs. Not worth the just on $200 for a night.

Staff were friendly. Room was on the top floor which was very hot and required the air conditioner to be on blast for the entire night. Power points were broken at the front of the room. Hot water lasted for about 5 minutes before it ran out (this was after 11pm at night).
Not super-expensive, but if you're after something modern where everything works, this isn't it. Very dated-looking.
Other than that, it seems OK.

Second time I have stayed here. First wasn't bad, room is basic and nothing special. Second time was in room 111. While it is in the corner and is protected a bit more from the main road sounds, the room is exceptionally run down. Only one light works in the room (3/4 lights) and the bathroom light doesn't work. The bathroom itself is really in need of a refresh.

Yes, 3 stars for condition. Let's deal with that. This is where you're saving your money, the property is quite old. But the important things - everything is clean, everything works, and the staff are helpful, and it's a short walk to Summer Hill station. Aircon? Yep. If you need to work in Sydney for a couple of nights? Perfect. You don't want to pay twice as much for a plush place you're only going to sleep in. You want cheap but you definitely don't want nasty... you found the right place.

The hotel is very old and run down. While the room was clean it hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. Parking spots are very small and two mid size cars could not park comfortably next to each other. Stayed there as I was attending a wedding that night close by. The guests at the wedding were social workers and advised they put homeless people there for short term accommodation. I returned to the room at 10.30pm and there was yelling and screaming and banging outside until 4.30am and it was very uncomfortable. Then at 6.30am children started screaming in the car park. I do not recommend you stay here.

We arrived early and staff were very accommodating. Gave us one room to stay in while the other was getting cleaned, very thoughtful. Housekeeping staff were above and beyond friendly and nice. Room was clean enough, small but quick weekend trip was good enough. One of our rooms the shower screen was cracked, the soap dispenser was chipped/cracked, the entire basin was cracked. Facilities outdated def need a fresh paint and some work. The rooftop terrace whilst a great idea was clearly under construction and no seating so we were limited in space in our rooms. The table and chairs provided in each room were a round Bunnings outdoor table with 2 plastic chairs, other guests removed their chairs and placed them in common areas to drink and stay up. Very noisy stay. Bed was comfortable enough. Location was good, light rail (tram) less than 10 min walk as well as train the other direction. 7/11 across the road for snacks.

Parking on the upper level is very tight, so be mindful if you have a large car.

Accessing the motel from the opposite side of the road is a bit of the pain as you have to do a big loop to get to the other side, but that's obviously no fault of the motel.

Room was simple but very adequate for our 1 night stay. Basic toiletries provided and there is a small fridge, microwave and dinnerware available in the room. Shower had good water pressure, though our toilet didn't seem to flush well. Takes a few tries (room 103).

Overall, a good stay for money.

Asked for a refund and was not given one. Would not let my dog spend a night there, that’s how disgusting the place is.

It was very basic accommodation.

It was my bad. I forgot to book somewhere to stay and this was on the Light Rail line - so that made it attractive. Not much else did.

The room was very basic, and some of the interior was damaged. The light shone through the window above the door and lit the room up all night. The walls didn't keep the sound of the tv on in the adjoining room. The carpets on the stairwell were dirty and worn. The padding on the ironing board was non-existent.

People came to clean my room at 5 pm each day, and I told them not to worry.

The room was clean though. Reception were polite.

Lesson learnt I'll book my accommodation earlier in future.

We paid $133.92 for the room and it should never have been advertised by Wotif. The room was generally dirty, the sheer curtains were in tatters, the light had no shade just an exposed bulb the TV aerial just went out through a hole in the wall where the cement had been chipped away. The bench tops were soiled. In the ensuite 'something',possibly old blood,was splashed across the mirror, wall and soap dispenser.The vanity basin and surrounds were not clean and the floor of the shower had tiles missing and the area was just covered with bare cement. We could not use the shower. We only arrived at about 10pm although we had picked up the key earlier in the day but did not look at the room. Otherwise we would never have stayed. I have photos to support these claims but the Wotif Help Desk was no help in telling me how to send them. Would someone please ring me on 0427320657 and let me know how to send them. We were in room 108 I think . Up a flight of stairs from the bottom carpark. For the sake of Wotif and Sydney's reputation please take this Motor Inn off your Website. We would appreciate a refund. Though the toilet seat required fixing as it was loose & broken not safe.
Overall 4 out of 5. i will go back when in Sydney thanks Bob.
