Staff were helpful and wecoming. Bathroom was well maintained and relatively new but furniture was shabbby and meagre with no embellishments sych as colour or cushions. Well located near Central station, universities and cafes with all types of food imaginable.

An affordable spot for a family of 4 to stay if you’re not expecting anything fancy. It’s an older building so it’s a little tired but the rooms were clean and it’s all you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful and location is great. Highly recommend for a family on a budget 😊

The location of this hotel is great. You are near bus stops that take you to City, Newtown or Bondi. It’s also near the Broadway shopping centre that has heaps of shops, food and a cinema. You are also walking distance to Chippendale that has a central mall and only takes 15 minutes to walk to Haymarket that has a tram stop. However that does mean you can hear a lot of street noise especially at night and it can be hard to sleep if you are a light sleeper.
The only other thing that was hard to navigate was the Smart TV which needed an app that I just couldn’t work out how to do so I just watched live TV instead.

Unfortunately there was a fire alarm with evacuation that led us down an incredibly dirty path to an isolated car park. Shower was not consistent in temperature and be aware that many of the rooms have no exterior windows.

Very small bathroom. Had a bar fridge but nothing stocked so if you need water remember to bring it. No parking available except for broadway shopping centre which is $79. Only street parking around which is hard to find a spot. We had road works right outside our window with the floor vibrating and noisy. Could hear them talking all night. No message to let us know or apologies about it.

The room provided had no windows and this was a major issue, the staff told me this after the payment was made. The condition of the room was very disappointing, cutlery unwashed, lights not working and noisy AC which had to be kept on all night since there was no air circulation or exhaust fans. It was so depressing that we left after the first day and have since written to the manager? to request a refund for the second day, given that I checked out on Sunday morning by 10 am.This hotel should not be recommended to anyone, we found an alternative and paid again for the second night, this was proper hotel, the Sydney Central Hotel..brilliant. Please let me know how I can pursue my refund since I have had no response from them as of yet.

Disappointing stay. The place looked reasonably modern but the room was let down by its lack of cleanliness and missing items. For example there were no tea spoons for tea and coffee. Milk was provided but after the room was serviced it was not topped up leaving us unable to have coffee the next morning.

The biggest issues for us were the inability to set the air conditioning temperature in the room. It was too warm at night and couldn’t be adjusted. The shower water was the worst problem as it kept going from hot to cold for no obvious reason. It was not possible to have a decent shower and this is a deal breaker for a stay and hence the 2 stars.

In my room there's an unrepaired hole in the wall. The phone didn't work, the fridge was warm, no closet, no control of room temp and it was cold. The bed is on rollers and you can't get in it without it rolling away from the wall. Corners for room were filled with dust and dirt. The carpets in the corridors were dirty and stained, many stains.

My new fave place to stay for any medical/RPA visits. Clean, quiet room with an above average bed. Good hot water and love the Ink and Water toiletries. So close to buses and across the road from inner city park and bustle. Plenty of dining and entertainment with Broadway shopping centre. Friendly staff at front desk, happy to see me and store my bag for a few hours. My only suggestion is having a rubbish bin in the room and not just a bathroom bin. Thanks, I’ll def be back 😁

Room had no windows. Nobody made the room in 3 days. There were no glasses in the room. No toaster or cutlery and when we went downstairs into the dining area even though there was a kitchen it was I'll equipped with only a sandwich toaster and microwave. There was no toaster or tea towels or even plates.

We forgot an item in the fridge. We called to request to keep it for us. We rang early enough 11am so that the room is not cleaned. We physically went back just to find out the cleaner threw the item away. They could have called us back and let us know. Bad customer service. The location is bad and no car park available even to just off load the luggage. We will not stay there again.

This property was easy to central to where we wanted to be. No parking out front or on property and staff suggested local shopping centre. Arundel St, 4 mins walk away had free parking on Sunday only which was fine for us. Hotel room was basic and clean, no windows to the outside but fine for price. Staff were helpful and it was quiet. I’d stay there again.

Confusing and disappointing

I was very confused by the website's vague approach to the parking availability. \"Parking available\" meant a tiny spot at the back, if available, then walk around the block back to reception, or parking at the Broadway shopping centre for $46 a day.
When I rang from my car I was answered very nicely but not helpfully and the second time told that Reception would ring me, which they never did.
Having found the tiny car park I walked around to the reception where I was greeted very nicely but confusedly. My payment couldn't be found as I booked through Hotels.com but they were looking for an Expedia payment. The amount on my credit card differed from my receipt, which was in US$.
I ended up paying again, then, when it came to get a refund it had to be done in 2 goes as they have a $200/d limit.
The staff were uniformly lovely but the system was cumbersome and confusing.
There was no a/c in the room and the facilities were basic (a mini fridge, a kettle). The bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the bathroom was adequate only.

Convenient location but pity about the service and fact it is poorly run. Pity reception is do large but rooms are so small.
Consider re doing reception as no breakfast is served per their signage. Small room with no window for $400?
I requested a room with window but they said only double bed has that so does that mean those travelling and require separate beds never get a window room ? Yet the beds are on wheels - it also costs $40 more for a window. Breakfast contained a packet of cereal, boxed orange juice and boxed milk - not 15 worth. Had to keep asking for breakfast box, had to keep asking for new towels and asked for toilet paper - indicative that there is no customer service or being aware that these are just basic automatic. People on reception appeared to do nothing and were obviously bored. A doona is merely covered by a sheet as they do not have a doona cover. Sheets are done terribly - either tucked in so tight one cannot move or in pulling out the sheets - all sheets and doona fall to the floor. The constant internal sound of the heating temperature all day and night is enough to drive anyone mad.Given the above the room was worth $89 not $400. Good location though.

Overall it was a nice stay. Two of the front desk girls were fanrastic and accommodating except for one gentleman who was rude to us and made the conversation difficult when I was just trying to ask about their public transport.

Another issue we had was with them was that my girlfriends plastic shoe case mysteriously went missing after a room clean, so they told us they would discuss it futher with management and get back to us on a solution, fingers crossed.

The room itself was big and had a nice atmosphere, but I would have loved a toaster (it came with a fridge and kettle though)

Do yourself a favour and avoid staying here. You're paying hotel prices for hostel level accomodation. The standard rooms have no natural light and the beds are on wheels, so anytime you sit down on them they move. The hotel internet was broken when I arrived and it took them 2 days to fix it. Our room was across from the main air con ventilation in the hallway which was extremely loud. There is no temperature control in the room, and it got very hot at night with no way to cool down. My keycard didn't work to open the hotel after 10pm as it was meant to. Luckily the outside door opened anyway despite the fact it should have been locked. Both our keycards also regularly stopped working for the room and we had to get them re-done.

There were many other smaller issues. On the positive side the staff were fairly friendly and helpful, the room was generally clean (some dust over some furniture), and the shower was decent. It's fine as somewhere to sleep, but for the price you should either stay somewhere more basic but much cheaper, or a bit more expensive but much nicer.

Stayed here for 1 night this weekend in a standard queen. Room was spacious and bed was comfy. However, it was an inside room with no windows which was not clealy stated in the booking window. It‘s also bit of a walk to the city centre. Was good for the night but next time, I may do some more research as I don’t like rooms with no natural light.

-We got given the wrong room - Twin room instead of Queen
-The temperature in the room was not able to be changed and it was quite hot.
-A noisy fan ran all night inside our room as part of the HVAC.
-Beds were very uncomfortable and rolled around the room easily.
-No lights in hallway to lift
-Shower drain was blocked and flooded the entire bathroom, which was wet all night.

-Staff we met were nice, but the computer system was down which made it difficult to check in.
