Location is fantastic - 10min (maybe even less) walk from Central station, with loads of restaurants and bars very close. We were going for dinner in Kensington St, which was a very easy 2min walk!
The complimentary tea/coffee and fresh fruit in the foyer 24/7 was a lovely touch, as was the muesli bars, pastries and fruit cups available in the morning.
Staff were all lovely and our room was a good size, with a great shower in the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable.
We will definitely be staying here again.

At $340 for one night it is way overpriced for what it is but Sydney was heavily booked & all hotels were thieving from customers. I’d book again at &140 as it was a quiet room & adequate for sleeping. Bed was comfy.

28 Hotel has great hospitality. Staff were very friendly and helpful at every interaction (including leaving bags prior to check-in, forgetting a key card, offer of free upgrade) and the availability of fruit, pastries and coffee/tea made for a lovely vibe in the lobby.

This is a modest hotel that is very clean and provides the basics of a nice bed.And hot shower. We would rather spend less money where we sleep and take a shower than paying the price of a stay at the Four Seasons or the Peninsula which we can afford. Loved being near Chinatown, Surry Hill, Redfern Chippendale and Haymarket. Would stay here again.

Amazing Sydney location! For our two night stay I watched city/inner city locations for some time, and this was the best at a very good price. The hotel was very clean, service was wonderful, and the pastries/delicious coffee in the morning were an added bonus. Highly recommend exploring this area for food, culture and just a great city vibe. And if you book this hotel you won’t be disappointed, we loved it!

The walls are quite literally paper thin and you can hear your neighbour showering / talking. I guess it depends on who you get as your neighbour but we were kept awake by someone on the phone for hours!

I spend two nights at hotel 28. The room is spacious and VERY quiet. Staff is great, helpful and friendly. For example, the air conditioner in my room wasn't functioning properly. The staffs did what they can to remedy the situation; get maintenance staff to fixed it and moved to a bigger room. I would definitely come back to 28 Hotel when I visit Sydney again.

If you are looking for a small clean hotel with excellent staff, and that is close to the Central train station, consider here. The rooms are small, but if you are just looking for a clean, safe place to sleep and shower, this hotel is perfect. Kudos to the woman who staffed the desk during the day, as she was an amazing employee. Also bonus points to Arman who checked us out early in the morning.

Only a short walk to Central Station and Paddy’s Market as well as a convenience store, McDonald’s, KFC, Krispy Kreme etc. We stored our luggage without issue before and after check in. Location was great and close to the UTS campus and central station. Accommodations were very nice. Staff was good to deal with and the coffee and breakfast in the lobby was a nice bonus. Very disappointed that they no longer offer for the airport transfer as advertised on Hotels.com.
