In this backpacker hotel, I stayed for 5 days.
It is very close to the city, and just opposite Coles shopping to buy some food for my dinner and breakfast at the backpacker hotel.
Put it in the fridge with name label stickers.
All very safe and very friendly staff.

There are very convenient to stay in the centre of Sydney close by everything you need restaurants and shopping etc. The room was great than I thought and the toilets were clean. I will be back again next visit in Sydney :)

Best hostel I’ve stayed at
Hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The bed (bunk in shared dormitory) was quite big, comfortable, had an individual light, charging ports and a curtain for privacy. The rooms, the washroom and the kitchen were cleaned every day and the noise was kept to a minimum always. Very happy with my stay and will be back if in Sydney again. It was also well situated. Easy to get to from the airport via train, to the beaches via bus and a walkable distance to the Opera House.

small number of rooms, just 10 on the 1 floor. good water pressure in the showers. was loud on Saturday night being above a few pubs, it was also Mardi Gras weekend which probably added to the noise. the cleaners did come into the room 3 times whilst we were in the room, without knocking or checking it was okay to come in, that was a bit odd. good location close to shops and Oxford Street for Mardi Gras. can get a bit hot and stuffy and no air conditioning control in the rooms. would stay again, good price

Great location, easy walking distance to Darling Harbour and good transport links. Facilities were great standard for a hostel, cleaned daily, towels and linen provided. Laundry available and good price to use. Only one downside was despite being on 6th floor, could still faintly hear a bar on street level until early hours of first morning (Sunday), possibly wouldn’t have noticed if was sharing a room with others. Overall would definitely stay again.

It was quite hard to find, not directly on Pitt St. It came with a towel and mini shampoo/soap, but no lock for storage. The wifi was horribleeee, slow and kept disconnecting! It didn’t come with a free breakfast, though there was a sharing box and it had spices, cookies, milk. Some music outside, so not the quietest location but not bad. It was very clean and convenient, though more expensive than it was worth. Would stay again but only if I couldn’t find better value (breakfast included for decent price).

Very clean, quiet and tidy for a hostel. Centrally located, around 10 min walk from Central station and big shopping centre just across the street (with supermarket and pharmacy etc). Spacious double private room. Only small flaw is that the water in the bathroom can flow into the other cubicles, so it can be a disturbing when others' soapy water flows into my cubicle during the shower. Other than this, it's perfect!

I love the concept and it was overall clean, safe and comfortable. My only complaint, and it was a major one for me, is structural problems with the mens’ showers. When you are in one shower waste water floods in across the floor from the other showers. This is quite unhygienic and unpleasant. A cheap fix would be to put individual tubs in the cubicles, which is how capsule hotels in Japan do it.

I went to the room and came back out again and ask because I saw that lower bed is still vacant. But again reception just declined and said its fully book. But I arrived early and there was no one in the bed, does that mean that that person had made a request for a lower bed and she was granted? I can't find any reason.

I was impressed with how clean the Pod was. They cleaned the bathrooms at least twice a day (from what i saw) and they were very quiet when cleaning out the rooms between guests. The location was awesome and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you are nervous about staying at hostels this place is worth the price for extra privacy and cleanliness! Highly recommend. I occasionally had loud roommates but that’s the luck of the draw I guess.

The Pod is excellent value for money! Opposite World Square and minutes to transport, it is an extremely convenient location. The facilities are basically new and spotlessly cleaned and well maintained. The bunks are roomy (although I find as a mature-aged person the ladders to top bunks a little difficult to get down) with lovely clean sheets, towel and soap/shampoo provided. Free Wifi and tea/coffee are an added bonus. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I frequently use The Pod for overnights stays in the city and would highly recommend.

Very pleased I stayed here, pods are fairly large so you have lots of room. Great location, just a 5 min walk to central station. I have stayed in a lot of hostels but this is by far my favourite one that I felt most comfortable in. You can tell the bathrooms are cleaned often.

This was by far the nicest place I've stayed. Cleanliness was immaculate. They did close off the bathrooms alot to do that which was a little annoying. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were big with a privacy screen. The only down side is the bathroom stalls are a little small and the water pressure in the showers could be better. Minor setbacks in what was otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

The Pod is a nice Hostel with a great location. Most of the customers are adults, no one talks to each other and the hotel has strict rules. I stayed there 12 days and heard about how the cleaning stuff sometimes yelled to the customers and I think that's not a good service. If you were in the shower after 22pm they just put the \"do not enter\" signs in front of the door and yelled at you to go away even if they weren't cleaning and you were there before hand. Same thing in the morning if you went to the kitchen too late, around 12pm. Silence started at 22pm but the staff was still noisy. Depending on the cleaner for example toilets and showers were quite dirty after \"cleaning\".
People at the reception were mostly nice and gave a change since the waching machine and dryer work only with 1 dollar coins. The Wi-Fi was quite ok!

My room was just like in the photos, everything is very tidy and well kept. Did not had the chance/need to interact with staff other than for check-in, which for me was OK.

A clean hostel with privacy.
I’ve stayed at different hotels in different countries, but this place was one of the cleanliest ones. I stayed at the 4beds room, and there was a big locker and comfortable bed mattress and pillow. Each person has a curtain aside your bed, so you have privacy. The shower had good water pressure and the water was hot. Would definitely come back if I were to travel to Sydney again!

Perfect, great space and privacy
This place is great, everything is clean, the Pods are a good size with large single beds, a curtain that blocks out the light, two plug points and a bedside light. The pods are well made so you aren’t woken up by people climbing up the bunks or moving around! Large lockers, spotless bathrooms and great hot showers. Can’t recomend this more!

Selfish People Spoil The Pod
My stay was ruined by one selfish noisy person who had the room lights on for half an hour at 5am while he packed his bag and dressed after returning from the shower.
It should be House Rules no overhead lights on before 7am!

Although the experience is not as great as the experience I had staying at a pod style hostel in Tokyo, it's very close! Definitely way better than staying at the usual backpacker hostels.

There is just one inlet for aircondition air to come in no seperate AC in each room...I was feeling suffocated. No fan also so that atleast it can circulate the AC inlet air in whole room. They not even turn on AC in day time. I will not stay again.

The Pod Sydney is very centrally located. There are plenty of public transportation options within a 10 minute walk. Supermarkets, shopping, bars and eateries are even closer. The hotel provides free coffee and/or tea. The beds in the rooms have curtains so lots of privacy. With the bed setup I prefer the top bunk just because the lower one is really close to the floor. Also the reception is not very warm and friendly. They are very to the point. Lastly the bathroom outside of the hostel reception (used during 10-11pm due to the cleaning of the others) area also had water on the floor everytime I used it, which was a bit weird. Overall a good stay in a great location.

Was in on a Sunday night and was very happy especially for the price. Single bed in a 6 dorm room and bed was comfy and big, room for luggage, big sized locker (bring your own lock); helpful if perfunctory staff, nice kitchen. Only possible negatives - the toilet room was a bit stuffy (very minor - showers were nice, only the toilet room) and that I could hear the bar downstairs at midnight, but it was very distant and I had absolutely no trouble sleeping. Pod is on the 6th floor, so it's a long way away from the noise.
