The hotel was very nice. Moreover, we were pleasantly surprised to find the immense shopping center below the hotel. 3 floors of shopping and eating...which we did... One weird thing however, is the bathroom showers....No way to keep the floors dry with the design of the curb free showers. we used every towel, every day just to keep the floor dry. We were worried about slipping on the slick tile after it got wet. To be fair, our hotel in Melbourne was the same...so perhaps an Australia thing?? BUT, that weird detail did not stop us from loving the location, the room, and the excellent sleep we had in the super comfy beds. Price wise the per night rate was reasonable. Don't sign up for the breakfast however...very expensive...You can eat at hundreds of other places within walking distance.

We loved many things about this hotel. The location can’t be beat. There was easy access to different transportation modes; we took the light rail, train, metro, ferry, and the bus. There are a multitude of great restaurants all around. There is a shopping mall, including a grocery store, within the World Square complex.

The room was spacious and clean. There wasn’t a dresser in the room, so we made use of every drawer (bedside, desk). It worked out.

We opted for the breakfast everyday, and we were glad that we did. There were made-to-order poached eggs, muesli, pancakes, sausages, fresh fruit, baked beans, to name a few. The employees, from the manager on down, were extremely efficient and friendly. We saw tables cleared, food and dishes replaced right away. This was no easy feat, as it got very busy at times, especially with the multitudes of flight attendants and pilots.

We will recommend this hotel to our friends.

​I recently stayed at the Rydges and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the concierge team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant.
​The room itself was spotless. It was notably clean and had a lovely fresh scent upon entry, which is always a great first impression.
​The location is hard to beat. It’s situated in a prime spot, and it was a very easy walking distance to public transport, making it simple to get around and explore the city.
​I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and professionally run place to stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Location is excellent. Close to Chinatown and great food. Located on top of a shopping centre - how good is that? And public transport almost on the doorstep. The rooms are generously sized. Amenities excellent. My stay of choice in Sydney.

Everything was pretty good. Staff were friendly, room wasn't ready until later but very busy New Years. The upgrade was very lovely! The room was relatively clean, the toothbrushes in the packet had stains on them which looked a bit gross. The shower was quite small and the head sprayed everywhere. Dual sinks was fantastic. The separate bedroom and lounge was lovely too. Fair bit of noise outside from construction down the road. Overall very good!

Have stayed several times at Rydges World Square and generally staff and services have been very good. Just a couple of comments about our last stay:
1. Good check-in process - front desk and luggage delivered to room.
2. Leaking toilet - reported on Saturday morning and rectified while we were out.
3. Housekeeping came to our room quite early, around 9am, to ask if our room was ready to be serviced and when we said no, we were asked when it would be ready. When we mentioned to the front desk, they advised that room cleaning generally started around 12 noon.
4. When we returned to our room in the evening we noted that only the bathroom towels and mat had been changed and bins emptied, but bed was not made and cups not washed.

Room was acceptable. Too much decaffeinated coffee and tea and not enough of regular. Staff was pleasant at check in and out. Restaurant staff didn’t seem to happy. Need to smile more. It’s not the guest’s fault that they have to work.

Staff were friendly. No room for early check in until 2pm. Noisy on the Pitts St side with motorcycles and hot rod engine noises. Great locations for restaurants and shopping. There are flying bugs from the ground drain in the bathroom. Our room did not get a refresh on one day.

A/c was very noisy but we didn’t ask for a room move as we arrived late and were too tired.

I Couldn't fault the staff.
The room wasn't has bing as the previous one.
Door's didn't close properly and the Aircon in the second room was barely working.'
The tiles in the Bathroom and shower are a safety concern and needs to be addressed ASAP
They are way to slippery and even worse when you've used shampoo. The beds in this room where uncomfortable

Good 4 star hotel. Great location for dinning and shops. Walking distance to Chinatown and Paddy Market. We had the executive baloney room which we can oversee the World Square area. Room was quiet. Bed was on the soft side. The shower head was strong which may cause flooding in the bathroom. We have to assist to drain. There are some bugs from the ground drain. There was no bottle water and lotion provided. We will return based on the location.

we were told that we didn't get our rooms cleaned everyday whike we were there, they would refund us $10 per day. (3 night). when we checked out, they told us that it was to go towards room service or hotel restaurant/bar. if we would've know we would have used it ehile we stayed there or came down for breakfast before cheching out. Very bad service . Totally disappointing 😞

Amazing location!! Can walk everywhere. Coles Supermarket underneath the premises. Buffet not worth it when there are so many great eateries around. The hotel is used for airlines and they are used to one night stays. We stayed for 5 nights and had to keep asking housekeeping to make up our rooms etc.
