It’s a $120 room so don’t expect too much. Furnishings are tired. Air con was cold… fridge rattled… oh a directly under flight path where you can almost touch the plane…. But it’s cheap accom if you want it 👍

Overall this property was convenient for us at the time and at an affordable tariff. However cleanliness left a lot be desired both the living area and the bathroom. The shower head leaked all night and the toilet needed some extra cleaning work. We were not sure on the age of the tea bags provided. Overall we have difficulty in recommending this property to future clients

That said, the room was barely adequate. The mattress springs were broken and sank to the base. Sheets and towels were clean but thin. Room was unmaintained with mould, damage to the walls, cupboards, etc. There was an odour and the carpet was lifting in places. We did not want to walk barefoot on the ground.
The room had multiple notices that the smoke alarms would trip from the kettle, toast, steamy showers, deodorant, etc and guests could be charged $1750 for the fire brigade attendance.
Overall, would not stay here again or recommend.

The fan in toilet was dirty and dead insects, it doesn't take much to clean it , disappointed. Around taps chrome isn't cleaned properly and dirt comes out when water gets around it,same with kitchen sink in plug, needs to be cleaned properly and has brown dirt around it and skirting boards need a good clean. Noisy planes over head and pub on corner on Friday, Saturday loud till late. Room with bed clean and vacuumed. I liked the city view and terrace on side. I had the best room for that. If the husband ups the Cleaning and cleans everything well not just the things that you see it would be a much better comfortable room. The owners are nice enough. Cleaning really is the biggest problem.

Nice bed, clean, had everything ya needed, was close to public transport. There was noise from airplanes overhead for those that are sensitive to such things. Check in was simple and no nonsense which suits me. Area felt safe with plenty of local dining options and a supermarket around the corner. All in all a very convenient place to spend the weekend.

I stayed here Feb 2025. The room was as depicted in pics. New furniture carpets, and furniture, well cleaned. It has a security door for entrance off street. Considering it was on a major thoroughfare for buses to city it was very quiet. No traffic or plane noise. The buses go past to take you to central station. Room has fridge kettle and microwave. I did not go to adjacent shopping centre close by but you can google Norton shopping to see that.

I’d stay here again, but would make sure I specified the roof not on the corner of Parramatta Road and Balmain Road. The hallways give a false impression of the place being quiet, but the road noise was quite high in the room I had. Great location though, even if you’re from out of town. Norton St has everything you need, and plenty of Public Transport options.

The room was clean and neat, just a little old and lacking a few things, like a place to hang your bath towel. There was hardly ever anyone at the reception desk, but someone did come when using the bell at the front door upon arrival. Unfortunately, they were not very friendly or welcoming though.

This property was not at all as described when I booked it on so many levels, it was more like a hostel than a hotel. The noise was terrible as it was right under the flight path for the airport and the planes were so low they had their wheels down and you could read all the writing on them, also next door was a very noisy bar with people in the street shouting until all hours, on top of this the apartments are on a very busy dual carriageway in and out of Sydney with lots of fast and loud traffic most of the time.
When we complained they just said we could have our money back if we could find somewhere else at short notice, having now looked at more reviews it seems this is there standard answer, they did show us another room that looked a bit cleaner and had a table and chairs and a TV you could actually sit and watch, but that already had someone in it so I don't know why they showed it. There was also bad mould in the bathroom which was still there after they cleaned and we have photos of this as well. We will be taking this to advertising standards and in the very slim chance they don't do anything for us we will issue a court summons as we feel really ripped off.
When we complained they just said we could have our money back if we could find somewhere else at short notice, having now looked at more reviews it seems this is there standard answer, they did show us another room that looked a bit cleaner and had a table and chairs and a TV you could actually sit and watch, but that already had someone in it so I don't know why they showed it. There was also bad mould in the bathroom which was still there after they cleaned and we have photos of this as well. We will be taking this to advertising standards and in the very slim chance they don't do anything for us we will issue a court summons as we feel really ripped off.
