Not a bad stay, but not what I expected of a highly rated hotel… Check-in process was simple and there was a nice plate of fresh fruit in the room to welcome me. Much appreciated little touches! However, the room was not stocked with bath towels when I arrived - I had to ask twice. House-keeping staff then became very attentive. There was an obvious language barrier with most of the staff, which made my stay somewhat difficult. I have no major complaints, I just feel that there would have been higher level service at a property claiming 4-5 stars.

The room was nice enough, the bed was really comfortable. We did ask for an upgrade and were willing to pay, but they said they had nothing available. The staff were ok, not great. Service was slow. Everyone who works here was incredibly kind, and even when we had small or inconvenient requests, they always helped us with such pleasant and warm service. This was one of two hotels, and Divan was my favorite. The staff was extremely present and friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, the furniture looked perfect with no scratches or tears. The entire place smelled great along with the towels and bedding. I highly recommend this hotel for the location too. The bathroom was perfect as well.

Where do I start? My husband and I absolutely LOVE this hotel. What makes it amazing is the staff and mgmt. truly outstanding service and they try to go above and beyond to surprise the guests and keep us engaged and happy. Special managers that are superb: Bulent Colak & Nilgun … they got to know us and made us feel so welcome. Definitely must return next time we are in Turkey. Divan is an excellent brand!

Good hotel in a good location. Very close to airport bus stop and to the metro. Lots of eating places and shops nearby. The spa was great, loved the pool. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices however, the service was very disjointed. I was there for 9 days and it never got any better. The way they served the coffee, tea was so disorganised. It was difficult to get a second cup without having to try and stop one of the employees. There was no offer to top up the drinks at all. One morning I requested a Turkish coffee which I was told was an extra charge, I said OK to that but it NEVER came. After 20minutes I got up and left. Similarly if you ask for the made to order eggs such as an omelette it took way too long to arrive. My husband had finished his breakfast by the time it did eventually arrive. They need more staff and better drinks organisation. The staff were all over the place instead of working a section which was really needed in this very busy breakfast room. If they can sort the breakfast service out I would have given this hotel a better rating because overall our stay there was very good.

Only a couple of issues. They don’t have face towels and/or anything to wipe the sink after use. Asked for small towels and housekeeping was very confused. Also, not sure if it’s a cultural thing but everytime I asked front desk staff questions, they give me a funny look and answered looking at my husband. Happened a few times which we noticed.

The service at this property is terrible. The staff and management know nothing about hospitality and guest comfort and convenience. The staff at the front desk have a chip on their shoulder and a terrible attitude. This property is comparable to a 4 star at the most but definitely not 5 stars. I wish I had known this before being fooled by the rating and booking my stay. If it was for the inconvenience I would have packed my bags and left by the second day. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

The hotel’s central location in Taksim Square is its main strength, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. However, the overall experience was underwhelming for what is marketed as a five-star hotel. We stayed for 8 nights and received no complimentary services. Staff were generally unhelpful, with some at reception speaking limited English, making communication difficult. In-house services were poor and overpriced. While the stay was acceptable, the quality and service fell short of expectations—more in line with a 3-star hotel.

This is my fourth or fifth stay. The reception mixed the two rooms that I reserved, and we had problems with connecting the wifi.
The AC was very noisy that we did not sleep all first night, and they changed the room next day. I informed the receptionist that this night should be compensated.

The only negative experience at the hotel was my wife booked a massage/turkish bath in the hotel spa,she was informed because we booked with Expedia she was entitled to 20% discount but was charged full price,when we questioned why no discount was applied (same person who told her about the discount) her reply was ..oh I forgot..She took my wife’s Details and said the discount would be credited back to her card..never happened 😤
