If you want a quality stay in Marbella at an affordable price, well located for beach/prom/bus stops this will fit the bill nicely for most people. Great staff/spotless rooms with a choice of restaurants. I am very happy to recommend and happy to stay again.

Great place to stay! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. There are countless restaurants within walking distance, offering plenty of dining options. Plus, the beach is just a minute’s walk away — perfect for relaxing by the sea anytime you want!

Beautiful Sea/Promenade view! Big balcony! Very friendly and helpful staff! Spacious room, good lighting. Accurate nice kitchenette has everything you will need. Perfect location: close to beach, chains of restaurants along the sea cost, also just 15 min. walk to old town and shopping street. Taxi and tour's pick up across the hotel.

Excellent location but room was in need of a renovation, especially the bathroom. Tiles old and dirty with stains around the toilet rim. After reading reviews it was obvious we were not in an updated room. Room was also smaller than anticipated and we needed to move the table in order to fit 2 suitcases. Beds were super hard even though we were advised they were new. Also first hotel I’ve stayed at where they were charging 3 euro per day charge for use of the safe. Unless you could get an updated room I would look at other hotels in a similar location.

There is no parking provided. The public parking garage 1/2 block away is poorly marked and there were insufficient details given at check-in. I ended up parking in a public garage .6 miles away at an overnight cost of 22 Euro. Very inconvenient not having dedicated parking or better instructions as to closed public parking.

Truly a wonderful stay from (early) check in to check out. The front staff is so kind and fluent in English which was very helpful to me. The location could not be better. Steps from the boardwalk and beach. Countless cafes within a 5 minute walk, Old Town only 10-15 min away. An easy Uber to and from the bus station. About $7 each way. I will most certainly be back.

Perfect hotel in perfect location

Ideally located hotel for beach,walking and dining. We had a 1 bed apt which was perfect...loads of storage space, fully kitted kitchen and spotlessly clean. Excellent value. Will definetly return next year.
If I had one suggestion and its very small we would have liked water and coffee pods left for the first night,especially if you are arriving late.

Demander des chambres en etage superieur sinon vous serez au dessus des hotes des cuisines des restos du dessous. Cher pour le niveau de standibg. Dommage car super bien placé. La plage en face de l hotel est horrible. Les plages plus correctes de Marbella se trouvent au nord de la ville. Mais à savoir que les plages de Marbella sont moches.

Our Third visit.

Back at Puerto Azul for a third time and would book again if coming to Marbella.
Some changes have been made since the last visit.
Repositioned and much improved pool area and a new bar restaurant below on the sea front.
Location is still perfect for us, with great partial sea views from all the rooms, and the staff still super friendly and efficient.
It's ready for a lick of paint on the exterior though.

The Front Apartments have large sunny terraces

I had a 'Superior Apartment' which was at the front overlooking the beach which was great. The room was perfectly equiped to self cater with a small kitchen in the living area and a large terrace outside with both table and chairs and sun loungers. There was a bit of a musty smell as I walked in. Perhaps there had been a smoker there before me (It would benefit from a fresh paint job and a deep clean of upholstery). I would definitely go back if I could book a room at the front as these get the sun all day. Also, very nice staff.

Outside the property is being slowly beeing up dated however the paintwork in out recent front line room is in need of urgent attention this inclues the bashed door furniture. They have a bad habit of not telling guests that any work is going on & you dont find out until you arrive
New guests tgat register for wifi receive a free welcome drink but reurning customers are acknowledged but offered nothing
All in all over the years of visits i would havd ssid their satisfaction rate from us has slipped to 7/10 but location & price are very good

I have stated here 5 times already, always had a view, whether it was studio, apartment or sea front apartment. This time we were put in a ground floor apartment, practically no view. First night we had no light working in patio so couldn't sit outside. On Thursday we had no water in the taps or to flush our toilet whilst maintenance men were working on a leak. Kitchen layout was awful, kept hitting my head on the cupboard door whilst at the fridge. Broken tiles, walls half plastered . So disappointed with the accommodation since we are regular customers. Think we will look elsewhere next time we come to Marbella

A nicely presented property which has undergone some redecoration. The property has now situated a small pool area at the front, which is secluded by a wooden fence. We really enjoyed our stay here. Location was brilliant and staff super helpful and friendly. It isn't 5 star as it clearly states - but it doesnt really apply in this instance anyway because its more a serviced apartment.
The pool is a bit small but they have organised it well so its very private. You don't need a massive pool as the beach is only a hop skip and a jump away.
If you rent a car the car park is only a 2 min walk from the hotel and its pretty cheap if you prebook your space.
Would definitely recommend and we will defo stay here again in the future.

Overall an Ok experience at Marbella

It was our first time in Marbella. I was surprised about how difficult it was to find the hotel. I drive pass by it twice. Once we figured out, I had to park my vehicle on the walking path as the hotel does not have an easy access. Once we reached the checkin desk, it surprised me the lack of intention of the team/associate to speak in Spanish, which it was weird but ok. The hotel has a really nice access to the beach walk-in path. The entrance seems to require some attention from a painting and decoration standpoint. Additionally, there was a small pool at the entrance that at least for me and my wife did not seem inviting. The room was clean, big, and really convenient, including a really big kitchen with everything you may need.

The room upgrade was not available, we were not offered anything instead of this. The gentlman behind the desk who checked us in did not mention vip status until i asked about it. He showed very little interest in us.
The ladies that looked after our apartment were fabulous and very thorough. They even brought a vase for my flowers without being asked.
The breakfast was a reasonable price and delicious.
The apartments are right next to the boardwalk and the ocean. Perfect location.

Good location

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Easy walking along the promenade and within reach of the Old Town.
There is building work happening immediately next to the hotel which was very noisy.
The buffet breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from.
It’s worth paying for a sea front room with a large balcony.
Staff were helpful.
The beds are not very comfortable and the mattress covers make a lot of creaking noises when you move!
There is an excellent choice of TV channels.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Best value/money in town with amazing views

An upgrade to the full sea view rooms is really worth it if you can afford to (or, as a Hotels.com VIP you may be upgraded for no charge). It has a kitchenette and a large living room. Beautiful views, central and easy access to everything. My only complaint is that it could use a complete clean once in a while as the corners/baseboards, etc, were dusty. But this didn’t detract us as we came back twice during our trip!

Don’t often feel the need to leave reviews however this hotel/apartment was fantastic. The service was top notch very professional kind and on it. Credit has to be given to the staff very well trained. I’ve experienced similar service at top 5 star hotels and everyone I interacted with was on par if not better. If you’re in any doubt as where to stay. Book this place. Location is great a short cab ride to puerto banus. On the beach and surrounding areas has some good tapas seafood and Mexican restaurants. Apartments were very clean and tidy and very comfortable. View was fabulous.

Enjoyable stay in Marbella

The staff was great. When you check in, if you have a car, park RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL so you can see it while you're checking in. Otherwise you might get a ticket, or towed!!! The hotel has an arrangement with a parking lot next door. The location is great and the staff is wonderful.

A 3 star hotel but an amazing 5 star view

We booked a water view room and we’re not disappointed. Our balcony was huge with 2 loungers, table and 4 chairs and an incredible view of the beach and water. The room was clean and spacious enough with a kitchen, separate sitting area and bedroom. There was a 4 piece bathroom and although clean it was not luxurious but if you’d rather spend your time in the bathroom then the balcony or beach then this may not be your preferred choice. My husband and I were thrilled with the location, balcony, view and staff. The hotel does not have parking but offers a discounted rate at a nearby garage. We were fortunate to get street parking for free. It is also only a 15 minute walk to the old town. We had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it.

A MASSIVE one for me is a cot and highchair. I was told they were not available, I even emailed the hotel before arriving. They told me sorry no they are not available so we had to bring a travel cot from the UK (which cost a lot of money). The problem was that we saw a number of rooms when they were being cleaned have wooden cot and even a wooden high chair inside... I don’t believe that these were brought? They looked provided to me. If they weren’t as a family friendly hotel they should be available to hire.
The air con - the one in our room pretty much pumped out the same cold air regardless of the temperature you put it at.
Kitchen - there were most things you’d need for a short stay, they gave you w little pack with washing up soap - this was tiny. Just a recommendation, provide some more every two days! We weren’t about to buy a whole bottle of washing up liquid for a 5 day stay!
Overall though, it is nice! Location is great

The only issue of our stay was that somebody woke us up at 4am by ringing the phone and knocking on the door saying that we had requested for so to be done. A few biscuits went missing from the fridge but that wasn’t too big of a deal... we also had a problem with our electricity where the fuse kept shorting out, but the staff fixed this straight away.
