The staff were very helpful and I have no complaints about the room or the standard of cleanliness each and every day of my stay good location on the golden mile short walk to the beach and major shops also within a short walk such as el Corte anglais carrefour and lidl

Parking was very convenient, void of useless Valets, you park yourself in the basement, and come upstairs in the elevator. That simple. They have cameras at the entrance, and the exit, so all you have to do, is push the call button, and the gates open. I loved the system, very easy and convenient

Reliable and reasonable value.

Guadalpin Suites is reliable and reasonable value. The suites are owned by individuals, so specification and fit out are variable as are prices. The common areas have seen some refurb since we were here last and benefit greatly from it. Suite owners might be encouraged to follow suit.
Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Adam, though everyone we encountered were good humoured.
We enjoyed our stay.

This property has a number of amazing apartments. The parking in the garage on the bottom floor is safe and awesome. Location was OK. You could walk to the beach. I wouldn’t say the beach here is that great we had to Taxi to the old town, so Location could be better but for the price this beats the others.

I booked the 2 bedroom Penthouse suite (Sea view), I was disappointed with the overall facility. Rooms were small, and tired. The upper terrace was not what I expected for what I paid sunbeds damaged and patio & furniture were dirty, so never used that area. Pool area was lovely, but needed more sunbeds & umbrellas for the size of the property.

We have stayed here a few times over the years. It started as a high end hotel but since the Crash has morphed into an Aparthotel, where there are fewer facilities but lower rates. Also any spend on what is here is avoided where possible - so low to no planting, nor refurb on sanitaryware. You get what you pay for , but staff very friendly and helpful.

The one bedroom studio with kitchen was excellent for breakfast and making tea. At this time of year the option of having breakfast in the complex was not available until March. The studio was cleaned every day and towels changed on request. The location was great. Would stay there again.

The property was very dated and needed updating. Bath looked very old and chipped. Door frames especially bathrooms paint faded off and cracks. Was disappointed as paid extra for a penthouse and two days out of the three there were workmen working all day on the masts by our roof top terrace so we’re unable to use it which was very disappointing and no communication from hotel staff.

Shame about the telephone!

The phone didn’t work so I couldn’t get the internet code without a long walk to reception. I even phoned the reception on my U.K. phone to get the code but no reply. The corridors were badly lit. The TV was complicated to turn on etc. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom products were adequate and the cleanliness was good. The interior decorating was a “miss-match” of old and modern. The room size was good but the lighting was bad with inadequate plugs to connect my iPad and 2 iPhones.

Great location and accommodation for a relaxing family break in Marbella. Quality of accommodation was good, little tied in places (kitchen), but for what we paid the 2 bed penthouse was good value. Hot Tub and outside furniture of good quality and plenty of room internally with x 2 en-suite doubles. Service reception where efficient and flexible with grocery pack and late check out. The only disappointment was limited access to the pool - which is representative of a 5 Star hotel. Noon to 18.00 seemed restrictive although our weather didn’t spoil our stay. 5 mins walk to Lidl for groceries and plenty of restaurants within a 15 min walk. 10 mins to the beach with plenty of restaurants/bars along the Golden Mile! Taxi rank outside hotel allowed quick and cheap journeys to Marbella port/marina and Puerto Bonus (€5/10). While the accommodation was a 5 Star Hotel, the ground floor is ‘moth balled’ since converting to a luxury suit complex; it’s a real shame as this place has potential to have the necessary restaurants and facilities should the investment ever return. That said, sort the times out for the pool access times, we would defo stay at Guadalpin Suits again.

Out of season visit, so most facilities were closed.
Roof top penthouse suite was clean and well equipped. It's obviously a few years old and showing some signs of wear. But everything worked and it was all tidy.
Good view down to the sea.
Comfortable bed.
Quiet at this time of year.
Easy walking access to the beach.
Taxis wait outside, so simple to get into the Old Town.

Due to reception hours only being from 10-6 and having arrived after hours the security guard in charge after hours gave us the room key. When we went in the there was no electricity in our room. We told the security guard and were waiting over an hour for the problem to get sorted, he did not know what he was doing. He gave us a standard room for the night and in the morning went to reception and they gave us another room which was the one we had booked with the jacuzzi in the first place. Apart from that everything was very good. Although i think reception hours should be extended

In the Penthouse Suite with Mountain & Sea Views.

The Place has seen better days.
The Jacuzzi was an old one, we did not have Sun Shade, although we did ask management to supply one as all the other rooms had one. It never came.

The Swimming pool was very good and the children loved it. With the amount of shell shops vacant they could install some children friendly activities. Ropes, or trampolines etc.

The Terrace and Roof were very good. I would highly recommend the place to anyone.

This is a very strange place. I remember it in its heyday, when I used it as one of the very best and most prestigious places to stay in Marbella. Now the hotel has basically gone. Thee are a few floors of apartments based on the old hotel rooms. These are fine - large, comfortable and quiet. There are no facilities, though, apart from the fine pool (which I didn't use on this occasion). The array of restaurants that used to grace downstairs have all closed. All of the outlets that once graced the front of the building have shut and present a rather derelict and charmless impression through the windows. There is no bar. Reception for the apartments is on the first floor and is very basic. They don't let the rooms until 3.00 p.m. (which can be rather annoying and inconvenient). Having said this, if all you need is a decent room and nothing else (Marbella is full of excellent bars and restaurants) you can do a lot worse for the money.

No staff co-operation from suite office and very little from hotel reception.
No information offered of any sort from hotel restaurants to porter availability.
Hotel lacked any ambience or welcoming. Suite and terrace were nice but the
upper terrace with sunbeds and Jacuzzi was almost inaccessible with the
spiral staircase. Overall very disappointing.

Furniture and decor old fashioned and old. Dining table and chairs outside unstable and totally unvarnished. Kitchen walls and floors dirty...no sponges or anything to wipe down counter or dishes...dishwashing soap only
Caught maid dredging up my sheets with some kind of spray to make them look fresher! sheets should be changed not freshened up with a chemical spray!
Asked for late check up and got 1/2 hr which I did not argue about . However the receptionist did not adapt my key code and had to go down ask and was received with a bad attitude. Then went up and had to go
down again because it still didn't work and the attitude became worse as if I was bothering them ... had to wait for clean up crew toooen door .penthous 406 everything both in penthouse and downstairs reeks of former glory
Stayed at much better places here in Marbella, especially for these kind of prices,350 euros a night

Hotel was hard to find, it's signage calls it \"gvadalpin\" and the front desk on the ground floor is not the hotel. Upstairs there is a room where two clerks sit to check in, they were the ruddest people I've ever encountered. No hello how are you, or enjoy your stay sort of language. When our key didn't work and we came back in they grabbed it re set it and shoved it back at us without a \"sorry about that\". The hotel also has paper signs everywhere about what not to do ie \"being drunk\", or wearing a bathing suit in the elevators (it's a beach hotel with a large pool downstairs via the elevator). The beds are rock hard, the pillows paper thin and the decor hasn't been updated since the 1980s.

Stayed at the Guadalpin last week for 4 nights with friends. The apartment was excellent and very clean. It was serviced every day. The complex itself was quiet but I could not fault anything about the suite. We loved the hot tub on the terrace
I would recommend this hotel. Great location I between old town Marbella and port Banus .

We know the area well so knew it was close to the beach and a nice walk. Reception was brusk and the long corridors make the place look clinical. The apartment was very large and well equipped and clean, but a bit dated. The sofa had marks on it and the hot tub didn't fully work. Overall it was quiet and relaxing.

When I saw how bad this hotel was I did not even stay a night. I would rather lose the Euro 1000 (one thousand) I paid in advance than risk bedbugs and getting sick.
In future I will only ever book 1 or 2 nights in advance, then if hotel is OK I will extend. But booking and paying for full stay in advance is simply stupid - I have learnt my lesson.

My stay in Marbella

It was smooth sailing from check in to check out. No concerns or issues while there, two supermarket's five minutes away lidl and supersol. This was great because my wife is celiac so this was very convenient being right on our doorstep. We also made good use of the local bus service, you can get the L1 bus near the Supersol supermarket. This bus takes you right into the heart of Puerto Banus, the fare for me and my wife was €2:36 to go and the same to come back to the hotel (Bargain). The local taxis will cost you about €10:00 during daytime to go to Puerto Banus, during the night it can cost more. Overall we had a great 4 night break, we had two days of great weather, and two days of not so great weather (November showers). Despite the showers it was not cold, warm enough to not need to wear a coat. We will definitely be coming back next year, we hope to stay at the same hotel. But we will come in October, to try and avoid the showers in November.

Great hotel, with an interesting history!

My family (me, my wife and 2 young children) stayed here for 2 nights in a Superior Apartment - it was beautiful and the jacuzzi on the balcony was awesome to have...the kids loved it! Large suite (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/dining area, kitchen, and a huge balcony were ideal - very quiet too...soundproofed rooms apparently!
The hotel itself is old school opulence, although some recent tough times meant that the restaurants and bar are were closed. Don't let this put you off - it's ideal for a family getaway and the pool is great too. Supermarkets are nearby and it's just a 5-10mins walk to the beautiful Casablanca beach, which has some lovely restaurants and plenty of drinks/snacks kiosks too. We loved it and will be going back again!!
