Room was ok. We were put in building B which is not as nice as the main building where I stayed before.
Breakfast starts at 8am which is a bit late for anyone starting 8:30 or 9am business meetings in Marbella.
Overall it was ok but we will try another hotel next time.

This property is located in lap of luxury. You have tons of restaurants around walkable distance.. the iconic Marbella hotel is five minutes walking. And forum shop is 2 mins. We stayed here for four nights. It was the best property we could’ve picked.

Honestly overall a good stay if you're trying to be in Puerto Romano just don't ask too much to the staff like service is okay.
Location is the best thing about this hotel.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Pool is good too, more on the quiet side which I liked.

Amazing hotel worth every thing and indeed a 5 star hotel, have access to everything beaches, restaurants etc. but the only problem is the WiFi they have to improve on that. But everything else amazing. And lastly pay for the breakfast it’s amazing covers every option from gluten, to vegan etc.

Really nice pool, rooms are nice but there was construction everyday. Every time you open the balcony door it shuts off the air conditioning and if you leave the room the mini fridge electricity turns off. So forget about being able to store milk for your toddler. They did give my toddler little presents that made her happy. Bathrobe were not soft. Great location, food at the pool was good. Good value for the price overall.

Ne vaut absolument pas ses 5 étoiles –

Séjour décevant- je n’avais jamais laissé un commentaire négatif à un hôtel auparavant.

Ce n’est pas ma première expérience dans un hôtel 5 étoiles, et je ressors très déçue de celle-ci.

Dès l’arrivée, aucun mot de bienvenue, accueil médiocre. Le frigo de la chambre était complètement vide, rien à proposer et malgré le panneau « Ne pas déranger » affiché, le personnel de ménage frappait sinon appelait... Difficile de se reposer !

Le ménage laissait clairement à désirer : après avoir bu du thé, les ustensiles sont restés sales pendant 3 jours, même après le passage du service d’entretien. Pire encore, les peignoirs sales qu’on avait mis à terre pour les faire changer ont été rependus comme s’ils étaient propres. J’ai dû appeler pour en avoir des propres.

La salle de bain sentait parfois les égouts… franchement !

Les draps étaient simplement deux petites couvertures juxtaposées — aucune couette digne de ce nom, même à la maison on fait mieux.

Et pour finir, un mot glissé sous la porte nous rappelant qu’on devait quitter la chambre le lendemain… Jamais vu ça dans un 5 étoiles !

À titre de comparaison, nous avons passé 3 nuits auparavant au NH Hôtel (4 étoiles), et le service y était largement supérieur : accueil chaleureux, petites attentions en chambre, des petites gâteries surprises et surtout, la paix.

Dès le premier jour ici, nous avons regretté d’avoir quitté le NH. Très honnêtement, cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses 5 étoiles. Je déconseille fortement.

Air conditioning worked great in the suite room. Plenty of space in the suite. No alcohol sold or served at this property. Great pool, watch out for the hornets at the poolside restaurant! They are attracted to the flowers/plants and customers' food. Restaurants conveniently located across the street.

This is the cleanest hotel I've ever been to! The pool area is especially impressive. Often pool areas are dirty, wet, and slippery. I usually will not walk around a pool area without sandals, but the Alanda was very clean and I felt comfortable walking around without shoes.

In addition, the hotel was quiet. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was delicious. The location is close to the port and old town, without it being in the middle of the city. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to coming back.

5 nights stay.
The hotel has a very good location. They have a good restaurant called Manuka in which I enjoyed breakfast a couple of times. The rooms are clean and their overall condition is good. Staff are usually friendly except in few cases.
One incident I found unprofessional from the satff is when my friend asked for a bottle of water at the lobby during one of the nights. The staff member told him to buy it from the room service! After we complained to him that it’s a 5 stars hotel and a bottle of water for your guests shouldn‘t bother he finally gave us. Also another friend lost 70 euros that he left in his backpack at the room. It‘s totally our fault but this is for your attention to keep your money inside a safe box when staying.

What a phenomenal stay!! This crew really knows how to run a hotel and they really know how to make every single guest feel so welcome! The property itself is beautiful with gardens all around. There are three separate residential buildings. The pool is tremendous and they have an immaculately clean gym. In fact, the entire property is immaculately clean. The bedsheets were so soft and the room was very big by European standards. The whole design of The Alanda is amazing and for me what was really special was learning that they are a wellness hotel. The food is fabulous and in my opinion this is the only place to stay when you’re in Marbella!

Valentine night treat. We had a table reservation at the Thai gallery restaurant which is located at La Plaza within Puente Romano hotel. I decided to stay at the 5* Alanda hotel as it is perfectly located just 50m away and was 1/3 of the price Puente Romano, Nobu and Marbella Beach club. The hotel was clean, offered good sized rooms and an excellent buffet breakfast. I would highly recommend if you want the facilities offered by a the exclusive hotels nearby but at a fraction of their cost.

This is the worst hotel and worst breakfast in all of Spain. And I've traveled the entire country extensively. Our air conditioning was also broken during the heat of the summer and having a family of four's laundry done was 583 euros.

Just to be clear if you are expecting any bit of luxury here you will be severely disappointed. Room is on par with a holiday inn. They take nice pictures of the pool, but their main building doesn’t even have a pool. You have to walk across a parking lot to get there. Called the front desk for water. Guy said “you have to come down and get it. I’m the only person here” we had breakfast included but didn’t even go based on how bad everything else was.

hotel is in a good location and the rooms are spacious and well designed. I would say this is more of a 4 star though.
Staff are rude, unhelpful, and incredibly slow. None of the room utilities were topped up the next day eg tea or towels. Had to constantly ring up for more every day! Plus the electricity stopped working from midnight to 8am which isn’t helpful when you need the toilet in the middle of the night and can’t put the lights on !

The hotel is amazing close to everything not far from Marbella bus station..the breakfast is good and Halal in case you’re looking for Halal food..the room is super big and have everything you may need with a comfy bed the only concern is the wall of the room is not a soundproof... Me & my wife had to wake up after 3:00 am on the sound of tv from the room next to us..the following day we asked to move to another room and they didn’t mind at all we also asked for a late check out and the accepted overall our staying was amazing

No pool it was taped off and drained and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, also it doesn’t state anywhere in the description that the hotel doesn’t serve alcohol! Overall we were disappointed with our stay. The rooms are tired and tatty and not as seen in the pictures. The bedrooms and bathrooms do need to be refurbished. We were also disappointed that no alcohol was served at this hotel. It is stated in the Expedia web site but at the bottom of the page, so we didn’t notice. Also, there was no bars within walking distance so we had to take a taxi to get a drink! I think this should be pointed out earlier on in the hotel description.

Quiet and peaceful property with beautiful gardens and very spacious rooms. The best part for me was that no alcohol was served. Was close to grocery stores and restaurants. Two Michelin Star restaurants right around the corner .
The rooms are equipped with a working mini fridge and safe and hairdryers. Only a couple of blocks from a public beach.

Well positioned beautiful hotel between Marbella and Puerto Banús - each within walking distance along the beach promenade. Excellent swimming pool with plenty of sun beds. Breakfasts were amazing with very efficient and friendly staff. Evening meals disappointing because of very limited themed menus.

The hotel has all the comforts you need for your stay. We got upgraded and the room was spacious and clean. The room was cleaned everyday and the bed was extremely relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered an excellent service. We had an excellent view of the beach from the balcony which made the room even better. Although the hotel doesn’t offer alcoholic drinks, there are plenty of other places near by to enjoy. The centre of Marbella is only a 15 minute bus journey away and navigating along the beach side which is 5 minutes away from the hotel was enjoyable. The pool is a reasonable size and is a nice refreshing luxury to enjoy. Overall a brilliant stay. Definitely will be coming back here.

The Rooms Were 5 Star, the reception was great. Pool looked very tired and green. This hotel does not sell alcoholic drinks. However they will allow you to consume if purchased elsewhere. This hotel is very noisy and hard to get sleep as on a main road. Also groups of Arabs smoking sheisha in rooms and balconies and then racing cars up and down main road till 4am.. if you want sleep ask for a room away from road or take industrial ear plugs...

The refurbished rooms are lovely, everything you need and very clean. Pool didn’t seem too clean but the beach is very close. Hotel food nice but the service is very slow. Location is very good if you want to go to the bars and restaurants in the area - which are lovely! Not very far from banus but the wait for a taxi can be quite long in high season

Really liked the hotel. The staff were helpful and everything was always clean. The room was nice and spacious and the hotel grounds are beautiful. At the time of booking we didn’t realise this was an alcohol free property, I then tried to cancel it as soon as we realised but Expedia wouldn’t let us cancel. I still believe the Expedia description of this property is deceiving as it doesn’t mention that it is alcohol free until after you’ve booked. This is a fault with Expedia and not the hotel itself.

Nice experience. The room does not have an iron though, and I was there for a business conference. Had to pay for an expensive service to get my clothes ironed, because they did not have an iron that was available for me to do it myself. No tea or coffee in the room. Overall though, the location is ideal and the bike rental service is great.
