My stay at the Puente Romano was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel was spotless throughout, and my room was large, modern, beautifully laid out, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed to create a truly relaxing experience.

The staff were outstanding—polite, friendly, and always eager to help. Their warm professionalism made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the facilities are genuinely top-tier. This hotel doesn’t just claim its five-star status because it checks the right boxes; it earns it through impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and an atmosphere of luxury in every corner.

All in all, it was a good stay lots for the kids to do very kid friendly. Besides the fact you can’t take your kids to dinner in most restaurants after 730. Beach was OK upgrades are charged. Breakfast was good. A little bit busy all in all eight out of 10.

A wonderful hotel! We spent up for an ocean view room to celebrate my husbands retirement. It was well worth it! The staff were amazing from check in on. A bottle of champagne was chilled and waiting and the morning staff and food choices were incredible in the Sea Gril. Of course champagne was on offer as was an assortment of plant based options along with fresh gluten free breads, cakes and cookies. The view on the deck is pure magic!

We stay in a lot of hotels all over the world as part of our working lives. This one offers probably the best food of any of them - and that’s quite an accolade. Rooms are good, beds are good, service is excellent and the air con can be a little noisy. But that food! We’ll be back for another giant tandoori prawn soon hopefully.

This is a lovely resort and the dining options and beach are fantastic. The Fendi bar is something to be experienced for sure. Really good people watching. Sea Grill restaurant is fantastic.
The rooms are a little dated, but still a great hotel experience. The staff were attentive and helpful.

It is a big name but they are living of their past glory. The \"suite\" that they put us in was a small room, packed, above a noisy pool and next to a restaurant, so could not hear or smell the sea. When we requested a change of room, with a cost of course, they gave us a slightly bigger room, but next to a power plant so the noise was 24/7. The rooms are very old, dark. The hotel needs seroius updates in the rooms. Gardens are beatiful, and there are many options to dine.

Rooms could certainly stand a renovation as, for example, the white sofa is more off-white with stains. Housekeeping is super nice and accommodating as is check-in, but the concierge desk is unhelpful and grumpy. The information they gave us was either bad, half-baked, or begrudgingly given, like we were asking a favor of someone in the middle of something much more important.

You get location, that is what you get with this hotel. It does have some great restaurants, but not any of the ones they manage themselves (all but a few outsourced). There is a clear lack of management and attention to detail as you would expect for a 5*. It starts at check-in which takes five times as long as necessary. Just take the darn passports and return them later! Dont make me sit there while you are manually typing in info into the system. And then why do you need the passport again for the PCR test? Didnt you scan it in to begin with? This becomes a theme across all services provided. It just isnt 5* service. Yes, they do what you ask, mostly, but it is never expedient, efficient, helpful or with a smile. I booked two \"delux suites\" (I think they called them) and there was no wow factor. Not bad, but that should not at all be the bar here. It clearly has to start at the top.

The hotel itself is great-ish.

The room is nice, I stayed in a junior suite, however the A/C was dripping in the bathroom and the bed had a broken bed frame on one side which would have been an issue if we had been two sleeping in it. The facilities are great, gym is very modern and a great place to work out in. The plaza with all the restaurants are great.

The service however is 50/50 - I encountered both some of the best and some of the worst I’ve ever experienced at this hotel. The service staff at the Sea Grill both during breakfast and dinner service is atrocious - bad enough to make me not want to stay at this hotel again.

I have been staying in the hotel for the past 4 years . Every summer . The service was excellent. But this year it was awful. I was suppose to stay 2 weeks but i had to cut it short and moved to another hotel. For the whole week only one night they did turndown service , the room infront of us they kept leaving trash and towels outside their door and no one picks it up for the entire day. And when we checked out, one of my bag was missing a wheel , and the bellboy was so mad he dragged the bag 2 floors down and broke the remaining 2 wheels. I told the manager what happened and left the hotel. I would never expect this service from a hotel like this.

Fabulous restaurants, cool, contemporary newly refurbished rooms, great position, choice of 3 pools or beach. Highly recommend Rachael’s For breakfast and lunch - super healthy and yummy without breaking the bank. Only off brand thing was being sent to the very outdated tennis club locker room to shower before our flight. Never had this experience in a 5 star resort before - usually you would use the spa showers so this was odd and at best a 2-3 star environment. My 3rd time staying here and I will be back!

On arrive we were very well looked after. The breakfast is all you could wish for excellent selection. The bar has a great atmosphere Rooms were clean and tidy and the gift was a nice touch. Very helpful when we wanted to extend our stay for an extra 2 nights. They were full but got a last minute cancellation so the could help us. Even got up graded which was nice . One negative we could hear the room next door in that it sounded like the radio or TV were on all night so there was constant talking very irritating

Very noisy - turned from a classy old world style hotel to party central with lots of drunks arriving back in the early hours - downstairs rooms very noisy (hear every noise from upstairs rooms) - if you like buzzy place its great, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing weekend away probably not the place...

5 Star Resort well situated in Marbella

Good hotel but one or two service issues. I should not have to ask 3 times to get a pot of coffee at breakfast. Oredered cocktail at Sea Grill bar i.e. Pina Colada and took so long to get delivered it had curdled.

Beach, sunshine, lovely restaurants and uber helpful staff made this a wonderful place to stay. We had a complimentary upgrade overlooking the sea, the most amazing seafood buffet lunch at the Sea Grill restaurant and the grounds are stunningly beautiful day and night. The atmosphere in the complex was truly buzzing with masses of choice. If
you're looking to do The Golden Mile in style, with staff who are genuinely out to make your stay as pleasant as possible, this is a great place to start! Will be back soon.

We visited this hotel as a potential wedding venue and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were a delight
They have recently renovated some rooms with a more modern touch and we liked those the best and staying nearer the beach is quieter
There are so many lovely restaurants to eat at and the buffet breakfast was magnificent with so many lovely choices
Would definitely recommend if it fits in your price range or even for a one night stay celebrating a special occasion

Beds wheels were left unlocked

The beds have wheels and on both rooms the wheels were left unlocked . Meaning every time you move on the bed or turn the whole bed moves . Our first night was horrible and it till ]l2 calls to get it done the next day.
Resort is gorgeous ... Just stunning but staff seem to just be snobby not care and not help...

Room very clean and comfortable with everything you needed, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries. Stayed in junior suite with balcony. Complex very big and quite confusing to find your way around at first. More suited to couples rather than families I think.
Breakfast buffet is excellent.
Little bit of building work going on then but it didn't interfere with our stay. Music from some event went on to 1pm but it didn't bother us. Might bother some people though as we weren't informed of a party. Maybe it was coming from a rented apartment - we didn't bother to ask.
Very happy with hotel on everything. Difficult to fault it as it really is a five star hotel. At a push, I'd say my only criticism was that the road backing onto the hotel from the beach could have done with more lights as it was very dark. My partner and I walked along the promenade of Playa Casablanca to central Marbella most evenings and the Puento Romano end is extremely quiet and dark in comparison.

What a shame

Stayed here many times but I am afraid it is losing the plot. The new reception is very hard to access - the showers were cold on a few occasions - the concierge let us down a couple of times with dinner reservations (we resorted to doing it ourselves) and oh - it's very very expensive. The beds were very hard indeed - a real shame as it used to be the height of luxury.

Fantastic location with everything you need

I had a wonderful time at Puente Romano. The hotel itself is fantastic with so many lovely restaurants and bars. I especially enjoyed visiting the Owners Club and had the pleasure of meeting the manager who organised our entire itinerary for the trip. He was absolutely fantastic and provided the 5 star service that sparked this resort to life for me.

This is truly a luxury resort with all the bells and whistles. They deliver the quality one would expect for the price. Staff is very friendly and service oriented. Lush, beautiful grounds, comfortable, clean, well-appointed suites, 3 pools and beach with lounge chairs and towel service. Dinner was OK. The buffet breakfast was fabulous with huge variety of fresh fruit, pastry selection, made to order eggs, pastries, even caviar and cava! Guests are a good mix of married couples, singles, and families- mostly European guests but also other nationalities. Relaxing!

This is a great hotel..with a village feel

OK, I loved this place and I would Highly Recommend.
I do however feel that there are a few plus points and a few low points....booo!

Ok Lets get the lows out of the way....
1- Noise.... Lots and lots of building work going on. Could not hear it by the pool by the sea, but when walking
to breakfast and outside the hotel, there was a 'concrete' taste in my mouth. Pathways need to be kept more clear for people like me with walking difficulties.

2 No more

So Positives..
1 Really is 5 star! Loved the staff, food, spa and facilities.
2 sea on your doorstep, although I never saw anyone in it, but the sound was lovely, even from the room at night
3 staff are AMAZING, cannot do enough for you and considering a full hotel, remember your name. Although
I did feel at times like the Russians had arrived and taken over...\"tis my hotel..MY turn now\" They dealt with
this very well.

Luxury hotel in beautiful grounds located next to the beach and on the promenade half way between Puerto Banus and Marbella, a 30-40 minute walk to either from hotel. Very pleasant staff who were helpful and as a complete surprise placed a fabulous cake in our room on my daughter's birthday and gave the 3 of us free entry to the spa on the day (cost would have been €120 for 3). Food at the various restaurants was superb but pricey.

Wonderful hotel overall, would highly recommend. Only downsides were 1) not enough chairs by the pools/beach. All taken by 10am-had to set my alarm to save chairs. Not what wanted to do on holiday. 2) upon arrival had difficulty getting dinner reservations in the hotel restaurants as they were booked for the week. Do note we were there during Easter week so maybe this isn't the norm but it was our experience. Otherwise it's a fantastic property!
