We had a balcony that had a lovely breeze, BUT. there was old dried vomit out there! The whole area needed a good pressure washer clean. The table and chairs needed a wipe down too. Not all the pillows in the room had pillow cases and the pillows looked old and definitely dirty. The car park area had a lot of weeds too. The problems that we brought to the staffs attention were promptly attended to.

This property was not what was expected. The photos and description provided are far from the actual state of the room and are obviously very old. There is only one restaurant, not 3 as described. The misinformation even went as far as another booking site describing this place as a hotel, a 5 star accommodation and top 10 romantic location, so far from the truth. It is a motel, and a cheap motel at that. Very noisy from cars, people and machinery (not sure what it was). Would not recommend if you are looking for a nice, relaxing and comfortable room and for more than 1 night.

It was filthy inside and outside. Beds were ok
Cracks in shower floor. Paint peeling off the walls
Spider webs on windows with ripped curtains. Laundry was full of rubbish and filthy. No way could you use the laundry.
Towels were all frayed in the bathroom.
The woman wanted us to pay cash. We paid half cash and half card. I would never recommend that place and I do not think Hotels.com should.
Worth maybe 100.00 a night definately not 649.00 for 3 nights.
The saying \" You get what you paid for\" and we certainly did not get what we paid for. We overpaid by $300.00

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfy. Attention to detail was lacking with only 1 plate and cup in a room for 3. Milk in the fridge had been squashed and leaked. A little tired and required some care and attention. Aircon was old and noisy. Quite a number of spiders webs in passage ways, windows and on outside tables. Not what we would have expected for the price.

Room was not what we expected from their website. Curtains were torn, window filthy stopping enjoying the view of bay. Bed uncomfortable, sheets didn’t look fresh, towels were frayed and thin.
Eastern Sands is anything but luxurious as stated in the website. Would not recommend this motel. The only positive was the position where it was.

They have dodgy comp rent rooms on their behalf. They charge you more then the original price they tell and withdrawl even more then they say they charged. Then when i try to cancel they say go through the comp you book with but when i exp i can't so im asking you to do it she played dumb and then tell me it's not her problem and hung up on me. Rings me back today and when i answer she hangs up. Pathetic. I will be making sure i air it on every site possible you are thieves and your hotel is nothing but filth and your service is terrible and never to use your services. I'll even tell them about the hidden cameras fond in the rooms

When arrived, we could only get 3 tv channels. Our booking stated cable was available. When asking reception staff they said they didn’t know about it and yes, only a few tv channels available (not HD TVs). I stated the booking information advised otherwise and staff said they’d only just taken over management and don’t know.
Upon returning to our room late at night, we noticed our shower had quite a lot of male body hair on the shower base. The previous guest had also blown their nose in the shower and this was dried on the shower tiles. It was too late to notify staff.
Our towels were fraying also. No big deal, just unprofessional.
We only required a bed & bathroom for the night for a very short overnight stay, nothing fancy. But this was unclean and unhygienic. I work in a family run cleaning business and would never leave a bathroom in that condition.
Very disappointed and could not advise staff upon checkout as office closed. Have emailed the property to advise and that we also have photos for reference if required.

Made a big mistake booking this motel, room not as in photos, very dated and poor condition. We returned to motel late afternoon to find the cleaners had removed used towels but did not leave any replacements, the reception was unattended so we rang the number on door only to be told he could do anything as he was not on site, reception was still not open upon checkout, so still no towels.

Stay was ok, Reception was closed upon arrival (3pm Sunday), even though stated it's open. No Foxtel and TV was a little dodgy, unable to turn on or off with remote. Need to manually use the power button. At least it was close to Hospital and Supermarket.

This was the most expensive motel we stayed at and the worst . Parking is not allocated to rooms . The grounds and rooms are very run down , nothing like the photos. The attractive photos of the restaurant and courtyard are of the hotel next door which is very expensive. Disappointing stay overall .

Only good thing we liked was that it was close to the waterfront for walking to enjoy the foreshore. Great for walking to the beach. The amenities in the room were very below standard. There was no plug in the bathroom basin and not enough crockery or cutlery for 2 of us. No bowl for dessert or cereal. Very poor standards here.

Carpet was dirty, blood on my pillow slip, no hot water on the first night. The coffee cups were stained. No washing up facilities for what dishes that were there. Black hair was on the bathroom floor. They have a microwave, heat up your meal and only have a small tea spoon or a knife to eat with. 5 star prices for 1 star facilities.

Manager not interested in taking any action about noisy people. He was plain rude and lives over an hour away and only prepared to come to the property in the afternoon.

Stairs no lift, no pamphlets to tell us where things were in Geeelong or for different food entries, no remote for tellie. Luckily we were out most of the stay and came in tired, so no need for tellie only would have been nice to find out tennis scores, which we eventually did after having a bit of patience without using the remote.

More like a backpackers than a motel. Considering the festive season, it was very loud and woken 2am by other guests and then again at 7:30am by loud guests. Parking was there but tricky when some guests must have multiple cars. The property overall is run down and dirty. We have been staying here on and off over the years and it seems the property never gets cleaned externally. Internally yes the room has been tended to and set but very basic. Not fresh smelling and missing fly wire on one side of the window, which is dangerous with a child on the second floor. We liked the convenience of it being close to everything and the view of the bay but other than that, the property is not appealing at all.

Was told it was a deluxe room for which we paid extra mainly because it was ground floor and as my husband was having a surgical procedure would be unable to climb stairs. The facilities were very limited, only 3 small plates, 2 knives, 2 teaspoons, loads of glasses, but no dinner plates, bowls, large spoons or forks, tea/coffee supplies were scant and not topped up on our second day. At $198 per day we expected better.
