The beds were so comfortable my husband and I loved them. Hotel was quiet and very clean , I didn't hear other guests.
Nice pool although we didn't use due to not quiet being warm enough for us. Buffet breakfast very enjoyable. Parking available.
Shops are closed by and a IGA just around the corner. Easy to walk around and look at the local shops and eateries.

The front desk lady was a fantastic operator. Very professional and helpful through check-in and checkout.
The room was excellent with large screen TV, large desk, sofa and very comfortable bed. The room was clean, neat and supplied tea and coffees did the job. Also a Mini Bar was provided but I didn't use. I would stay there again, the hotel was within a 20 Minute walk from the Geelong Railway station.

everything was great! they let us check in earlier because the room was ready, the room itself was clean and spacious, the staff were lovely and accommodating. reception gave us free drinks due to a misunderstanding (my fault for not messaging and checking but it wasn't held against me), and the bar staff went above and beyond. Wonderful experience, definitely would stay again!

The hotel itself was excellent, clean and in a great spot. Sadly the mature lady on the reception desk was abrupt and non helpful. I would of put it down to her having a bad day but we were met with the same approach the next day. Our family booked several rooms and several of us had the same experience. Otherwise the staff were excellent.

Only negative is the air-conditioning system: you're unable to keep the air-conditioner on cool, it will automatically change to heating based on the external temperature, which meant the room was quite stuffy. Reception staff loaned us a fan, which was a lifesaver.

I booked two rooms and we both woke in the morning saying we roasted all night. No such thing as aircon if you want a temp lower than 19 There is no aircon, and the rooms are hot!!

The parking charge was a suprise.

We have stayed here on many occasions. Good location but despite having some small upgrades is starting to show its age. The staff are always friendly and are able to assist. The bathrooms are clean but small and the towels are too small and need repalcing. The last time we had a noise issue with the A/C which disturbed our sleep. I also do not like the concept of having to pay for off street parking - if you are apying hundreds for a room surely the car parking should be free and access to it under a covered walk way.

Sorry but the food was awful, like really bad. I saw someone order Uber eats at our awards function because the food was so bad. Breakfast both days was cold and dried out.

Staff were helpful but when we asked about air con not working in our room we were advised it is not turned on when it is cold outside and we should just open the windows. They brought us as pedestal fan as it was so hot in our room and we couldn't sleep without air circulation.

Trying to explain that we didn't have breakfast was very very frustrating.
This also happened at the Canberra Rydges.

Stayed here before for work so had no issue booking again.
We enjoyed the bar area for a social drink with friends and the buffet breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall, our stay was pretty bloody good. However, we had one issue, I booked parking and arrived to be told that there was no parking available as they were full. Our room overlooked the car park, and this was not the case. On checking out they attempted to charge me for parking as it was included on my booking, needless to say I was bemused. But I learnt that on the weekends there is a lot of free parking on the street so save yourself a round of drinks and park on the street.
The Rydges did not disappoint, and would we stay again, that is a yes.
