I have NEVER experienced service like this. Japanese service is incredible. An example: I didn’t have enough hangers in my closet for my clothes. I didn’t mention this to anyone. When I returned from shopping, there were 10 more hangers in the closet. Attention to detail and incredible service!

The hotel staff are excellent and prioritize a luxury feel. We had a massive suite that was very good size and if you stay in a room that has access to the club floor, the views are remarkable. The only detail that I wasn’t a fan of was the hotel is 17 years old and a lot of it looks and feels like something that was done and relevant 17 years ago, so it has a bit of vintage feel, if you like that.

Dishonesty from Spa/massage, never charge your guest without informing them of extra service. Beware! Very disrespectful. No formal apology.
Bad service in club lounge breakfast & evening canapés, had to get the ladies & gentlemen to clear table.
Club Breakfast restricted 1 & 1/2 hours & evening canapés restricted one 1 hour. Asked guests to leave after 1 hour. We found very offensive & disrespectful. Eat & run - no class & elegant specially at the the Ritz. No excuse that the club is busy (stayed for 9 nights not even busy)
Food is average for the Ritz Carlton. Seafood is non existence. Mainly cater for Japanese guests
Bistronomy Towers, service was excellent but food also average

Cost cutting is on a high scale, not up to standard of Ritz Carton. Never return & never recommend Ritz Tokyo, Ritz Osaka to anyone 5/10.

We recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo in the Millenia Suite, which was the perfect size for our family of three. The suite offered stunning views from both the bathroom and the living room, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

Our Club Lounge access was a highlight, with its breathtaking views and excellent food. The staff were incredibly welcoming, knowing our names and being attentive to our special needs, including food allergies. This personalized service made our experience even more special.

Getting around Tokyo was made easy with the help of the hotel staff. They were always available to call taxis and communicate our destinations to the drivers in Japanese, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. Taxis were always readily available, which made exploring the city convenient.

For those needing laundry services, there's a laundromat just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, adding to the convenience of our stay.

We enjoyed several family activities during our trip, including visits to Teamlab, the Ninja Experience, and the Ninja Tokyo Restaurant. Each activity provided unique and memorable experiences that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall, our stay at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo was exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding service, and convenient amenities made it an unforgettable trip for our family. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Everything is good. Just the breakfast starts at 7:00am is too late. If can start 6:30am will be better because come from America have a jet leg. We get up at 5:00am and Hunger but no place can get the breakfast. The last day I have to check out hotel at 7;15am and have no chance to get the breakfast. And waster my breakfast two people payment.

The room is very big and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help me with all my needs. The swimming pool and spa experience is heavenly. One of the best beds I’ve ever slept on. The view from the lobby and bar is breathtaking. This is an extraordinary hotel with amazing staff.

I would like to especially thank Reika and a gentleman from Sri Lanka at the bar, who served us drinks and dinner. They are amazing people.

This Hotel is wonderful. The location is excellent. Close to shops, restaurants and many sights. From the moment you pull up the staff makes you feel special. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. Reception was very efficient and welcoming. Staff at breakfast wonderful and Jumanna made breakfast a special time. The concierge desk great to work with, especially Monica. Moka at reception very helpful and very welcoming. The food excellent. Afternoon tea a delight. The staff at tea and the bar excellent. The rooms a dream! Housekeeping keeps the room spotless. My place to stay in Tokyo when I return. I loved everything about the Ritz Carlton Tokyo. I highly recommend it.

This was the $1500 splurge on our last day in Japan. I wanted to have a view of Mt Fuji just like the photo in Expedia. We didn't get it. We got some other view. Besides, I didn't know it rains a lot and you often can't SEE Mt Fuji. I could have booked a five hundred dollar room. Second, I booked here for the 'Airport Transport'. It's NOT Ritz-Carlton. It's a Vendor. It BOOKS UP and it COSTS MONEY. I didn't get to enjoy Tokyo because it takes two hours to get to the airport (Three on the bus because it stops at other hotels) and a cab is three hundred dollars. The bus is thirty a person. I could have taken the train/metro but was afraid to get lost at the right terminal. So we sat at Narita for seven hours, three roaming around aimlessly before the United terminal opened. We had less than twenty-four hours in the suite--making the suite about $100 an hour.

Yes it was fancy. Yes the staff was above and beyond (one got a Ramune for my son, and another made a beautiful origami). I don't know if people know it's a little scary to have people knock on your door at night--for Californians we get nervous. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Our sushi dinner was phenomenal!

My main gripe was that in Japan, you are not expected to tip. But at the Ritz Carlton, the staff lingered as if they expected a tip. Three did. And the whole 'vibe' isn't our 'thing'...I don't like 'snooty', and everyone there was into that, especially the guests. Laguna Niguel one is super nice 100%

A true 5 star hotel and service!

This is a true 5 star hotel with 5 star service to go with it, not a 'fake' 5 star hotel where hotel receive 5 stars based on customer feedback and customer ratings. The service is unbelievably amazing, exceeding all our expectations (there service is almost similar to the famous 7 star hotel in Dubai - Burj Al Arab). There attention to detail in service is almost not human...they are superhuman! The staff know what we wanted before we can even think of it, then they add a little more extra service by advising us on how an alternative will be better than the one we thought up. We arrived about 8 hours early before check-in time, we had a very long flight (about 19 hours with 2 stops before our final destination), we hadn't slept during our trip, they offered us a 'sleeping room' (a room that was available which was a twin room) to rest in until our room was ready for 3pm. The club lounge was very luxurious where there is always something to eat, they allowed us to order room service from the club lounge which from our experience many other 5 star hotels refuse to do this. Few things I think the hotel can improve on is offering their club lounge guest the choice of either breakfast buffet at the main dining area or breakfast at the club lounge. Also, the hotel offers shuttle bus service (at charge) to Narita airport, they should advise their guests at point of checking in that there is an option to book this if they choose.

Nice hotel but an inconvenient location

It is a very fancy hotel but the rooms are not well designed so it does not feel luxurious.
Little choices of food at the lobby bar and the breakfast buffet is limited compared to other luxury hotel buffet even by the standard of less expensive one.
The lobby feels awkward and corporate.
But most of all the location is inconvenient at the end of the mall and the entrance is hard to find, and we needed to walk thru a ghost town of a mall thru confusing passages without signage to find it.

Definitely choose the Club Floor

I can't say I'm a Ritz fan but I chose The Ritz this time because the pool at Park Hyatt was closed for maintenance. I had a room on the Club Floor. If you are going to be out all day then perhaps it's not worth paying extra for the perks. I just wanted to relax at the hotel so it was a very good deal for me. However, I always find the food at the Ritz (not just Tokyo) a bit disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the Sunday brunch there. The brunch/semi-buffet lunch at Park Hyatt was much better in terms of variety, taste and value. I had a lovely massage at the spa but I regret getting the Sodashi product because it's waaaaay overpriced even with my 10% discount. Overall speaking, 4 out of 5 for me. I love my room (should've asked for the Fuji view). I love the staff. I love the pool.

This hotel was absolutely the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable, the staff was polite, respectful and very helpful. The breakfast was included in the room rate and was 5-star and delicious. The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo and the views from the resturant and the rooms was incredible!

The entire staff did a great job during my four night stay. They weren't perfect, but they are as close to that as you can get on earth. I didn't want to leave and this was just a business trip! The room was the quietest hotel room I have ever experienced.

The Ritz was located in a great area, by a beautiful park and a mall filled with dining options. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. The hotel is located on a few floors of a larger building, so you do need to take two different elevators to get to your hotel room. The restaurants in the hotel are all expensive, but you can dine in the mall for a reasonable price. The lobby was clean, but did smell like cigarette smoke because people are allowed to smoke indoors in Tokyo.

The staff were friendly and attentive to all our needs. They truly made our honeymoon very memorable. I highly recommend paying for club level it includes: views from the 56th floor, the best staff are amazing, great food and drinks throughout the day. The chef of club level made us a special omlet and card wishing us a happy marriage. The restaurants at the hotel were amazing. Azure 45 has great food with views of Tokyo tower. We will definitely come back and stay here again

We stayed at the Ritz for two nights for our elopement in Tokyo. Not only did the staff translate necessary documents for our confirmation at City Hall, they were also our signed witnesses for getting married abroad. They also kept finding new ways to congratulate us with surprise gifts and experiences. It is what you would expect from a hotel of this class. But nothing really memorable. Nothing really stands out as being truly worth revisiting. I still find it hard to stomach that for the price of the room which was not in any way discounted, breakfast was not included. When you're paying about 800 USD per night you might reasonably expect a modest continental breakfast thrown in.

My husband and I have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and this is definitely the best experience we have ever had. The hotel has recently been renovated and the styling is impeccable. The attention to detail is second to known.
Club room - there was food available all day, buffet breakfast, light snacks, high tea, evening buffet. Complimentary bar until 10pm.
The staff - were extremely attentive, always greeted you by name, made a point of remembering what sites you intended to visit. What your regular drink was.
The main hotel bar - is out of this world style, staff, view and stock.
The room - we chose deluxe room which is a large double room, sofa area, bureau area, 2 double wardrobes, bathroom with separate shower, twin sinks.
The room view - we chose \"city view\" I wouldn't choose \"Mount Fuji\" as it can't be seen due to weather
The location - Tokyo Midtown/Rippongi. This area has recently been developed, it is very central for all areas of Tokyo, high end designer shopping and Galleries etc.
Metro - my husband and I spent a little time understanding the underground system and Rippongi is a major station so this made it easy for us to get around quickly if we didn't want a taxi.
It happened to be my birthday during our stay, I think I mentioned it to a member of staff during our stay. On the morning of my birthday I was wished a happy birthday by every member of staff.

Will keep coming back to this hotel if it's not sold out. Was lucky enough to get a few days here again on this Japan trip. High season and the rooms go fast. Absolutely amazing attentive staff and the hotel is beautiful. Will be back!
Accidentally left my phone charger and they found and put it aside for me. The staff goes out of their way to make this hotel an 'experience', not just a \"stay\".

The Ritz Carlton in Tokyo is one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed in. The staff was incredible. They made sure every request was fulfilled immediately. Our room had a spectacular view of Tokyo! I highly recommend dining in the restaurants or lounge at night to see the best views the city has to offer, not to mention that the food is delicious. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is what you would expect from Ritz Carlton, but be aware that this is not the Ritz Carlton from the past, nowadays they donr have the service and luxury they used to.
I had to loose lots of time at checkin because I had a King size bed room confirmed and they said I didnt... At the end they gave me another room with 1 king size bed and where expecting me to pay 40% additional to have that room, which I didnt so I had to move to a third room...
Everything else was fine.

Words do not begin to describe how helpful, kind, and loving the staff at the Ritz were! To begin my travels I was able to call the concierge with the request for a coveted spot at Sukiyabashi Jiro. A request that neither of my credit card concierges were able to secure. That alone was impressive and made me excited for my stay! I spent a week traveling in Japan before my stay at the Ritz and not only did they receive and hold onto a box of winter clothes I mailed weeks before my arrival, they also held a bag for me and did my laundry from my early trip to Bali while I spent time in Kyoto. When I finally arrived to check in my room was read with my dry cleaning, laundry, and bag already in the room. They sent French macaroons to my room as a birthday welcome. They also went above and beyond when my friend, who wasn't staying at the Ritz, lost her wallet, phone, and passport hours before she needed to leave for the airport. They called the US embassy, sent out an alert on both the subways and metrolines, called our previous hotel, and had the (possibly obvious but nevertheless genius) idea of using the find my phone app! The service, detail, and hospitality at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo is unmatched! I cannot wait to return and stay with them again!

Fantastic place run by awesome people.

Upon arriving, they welcomed me by name before I even got out of the cab. I'm not even sure how that was possible except by complete accident. They were very helpful and courteous at all times.

Cons: The hotels lobby is at 45th floor and the closest metro is around a 10 minute walk.

Pros: the hotel has exceptional service, the lobby and rooms are inviting for its city view. The hotel is attached to a mall that caters to your necesities and shopping as well

Very luxurious

The Ritz is a sanctuary where you can retreat to whenever you require the best of service and comfort. Let it be said, it comes at a cost. But for those who can afford it, it is definitely worth it from time to time. What a splendid experience taking you back in time to the old days where value was put on service provided to each and every individual customer.

Great hotel with amazing staff.

We stayed in Tokyo for 5 nights for sightseeing. It was the beginning of a 2 week stay. This hotel was the perfect place to begin.

The area is incredible, the concierge services are good but the hotel is soooo old and the rooms are not too big.

Like no other!

One of a kind hotel with an amazing bar, outstanding service, exquisite food and awesome rooms. Located right downtown with a view to die for. Within walking distance of anything and everything. The view from this room cannot be replicated. Thanks to the impeccable attentive staff, our stay was beyond memorable.

Visit to Tokyo with Kids

The hotel is just an amazing place. You will find no better service anywhere. I travel about 50 nights a year and stay at a dozen or more different hotels. This is the best I have ever been to in every category. 5 stars across the board.

A spacious room in Tokyo

A nice hotel to stay at, with magnificent view of Tokyo. Convenient with subway station within minutes of walk. Comfortable and spacious, extraordinarily spacious in Tokyo! The price is also six star, though. Room rate is carried with room charge each day, quite unexpectedly.

View was great but staff were disappointing

The hotel is in the midtown of Roppongi. We love this area and decided to stay in this luxurious hotel. The hotel lobby and room were quite nice. However, the front desk staff and the waitress in the lounge were not friendly and sometimes were rude to us. The bell staff were very friendly and very helpful.
