This Hotel was the gem back in 1993 when I used to entertain my business guest in the night club. Though property is getting old, it still was a very pleasant stay for my wife and I. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff English skills are so poor that communication is not possible. The hotel as a whole is a good hotel, but the room I stayed in was noticeably old, with the wallpaper stained and partially peeling, and even the toilet seat in the bathroom was peeling in color. The shower curtain also smelled bad and was not very pleasant. There is nothing to see around the hotel, and it is not fun to take a walk. The hotel calls it a lake, but the adjoining lake is a pond that looks like a dirty pool of water, like a ditch. However, this is Vietnam, so if you expect something too beautiful, you will be disappointed. This is the reality of Vietnam.

Too far from the city centre, it took 20mins to get in by taxi and 15min on motorbike.
I ate at 2 of the restaurants on site, both were ok but completely lacking in atmosphere

Nice and clean rooms

Stayed 3 nights on a business trip. My room was in the new tower, and everything was clean and nice. Plenty of power outlets and USB charging ports. The breakfast menu was a bit limited, but the food was delicious enough.The staff were particularly nice and helpful. The WiFi was quite fast everywhere in the hotel.

It was okay, but nothing special

Location was decent. Lots of cheap eateries outside. It's in the city so things are very accessible. Rooms are clean and staff are attentive. However, the check in process was kind of a mess as there were too many people trying to check everyone in at the same time. However, this hotel is just okay, it's not a luxury hotel or anything like that.

Hanoi Hotel. classic but modernity in Mind

It may be a long trip to the old quarters from here depending on traffic. Fortunately the hotel has many activities inside for entertainment.Also, there are luxury restaurants situated in the same street. If your the fast food foodie type, there is also Domino's Pizza and the world famous Burger King a few minutes around the corner nearby.

Hotel surrounding with may Cafe and food outlets. Decent breakfast with local and international selection.
Only complain I have is that every morning I woke up at 5.30 am by loud music from locals doing exercise.

LOUD MUSIC at 5am daily!

The people at the hotel were wonderful and the food and coffee were great. However, my room smelled a bit musty and the windows cannot be opened. Additionally there is a major problem with noise. Every morning at 5am a women's group plays EXTREMELY LOUD techno music and exercises outside this hotel at the lake. Every morning. Even weekends. I was on the 11th floor and could not sleep through it. It's very loud and waaaaayy too early for techno. :(

Their background music woke me up!

Have you been waken up by \"Silent Night\" before? Their 'alarm clock' was the hotel's background music early in the morning around 7am.

Staff on the frontline typically didn't care if the music is switch on or what volume it may be. When we were there, the visual decor was present but the silence was deafening too. After our feedback, the music was switched on.

It was the only time that I regretted asking the hotel to switch on their pipe-in music because they lack control.

As the different Christmas music was streamed (likely downloaded from different sources), \"Silent Night\" spiked up in volume among the playlist and it was booming outside the room along the corridor.

Volume wasn't equalized for the tracks.

Of all tracks, it has to be the song \"Silent Night\" that we (*yes i wasn't the only one...my 2 other business associates staying on DIFFERENT floors) woke up to.

reasonable 4 star hotel for low price

reasonable 4 star hotel with low price. Overall, the hotel looks a little bit old, but room is maintained well. Considering the price, it is reasonable 4 star hotel if you are visiting Hanoi for business. I recommend for business stay in Hanoi with reasonable price.

I would say it is pretty much of a normal ok hotel. Comfortable enough to sleep in and get a good rest. Not noisy and I think the lake view is pretty nice. But please note that there's the öld wing and new wing. So please make your request before booking. I stayed the old wing and think it is pretty fine too. So not to worry even if you are given the old wing.

I won't stay here again. Definitely not a 4 stars!

If you are a non smoker and like to sleep at night, I don't recommend staying there. There are no non smoking areas that I have been at in this hotel, and the sound insulation is also poor, so the sounds of the Club that is open all night carries everywhere in the new wing.
The room was very small, and while it did its job, was not pleasant to spend any time in. Furthermore, every item of clothing in my suitcase stank of cigarette smoke when I came home.
Needless to say I will never stay there again. There are nicer hotels nearby with similar price points.
PS if you just want a massage, don't try the spa there - its offer is slightly different.

Double booking...

Although it was not the hotel's fault, I needed to explain several times about double booking due to some communication issue at reception. Other than that, it is just a normal hotel which is worth the price.

Hotel is centrally located on the bank of lake. I stayed at Lake View room. Room is nice and comfortable. Cleanness and daily cleaning of room is very good. Hotel staff is friendly. Hotel Gate staff and Guards are too Good and friendly. As language problem they assist each and every time to calling taxis etc. Hotel Business center also very Good and friendly. Hotel has so many after office hours amenities to stay there. Good Comfortable stay, I will stay again and again there. Only one thing is poor that they do not have any Good quality Vegetarian Food.

there are 2 building one is very rundown and then there is a newer tower which is ok.
the put me in the old one first which i was pist off i talk to them and the said i booked the city view instead of a lake view so i told them that was not a 4 star room i wanted however after telling them i will report to expedia the change my room which was goog.

Everyone is very friendly and helpfull i give a 5 star for that.

クラブで飲む前には良く確認して！

今回、友人4名で観光の為宿泊しました。
このホテルはナイトクラブやカジノが有るので夜も楽しめると思い予約しましたが、どちらも客が無くガラガラ、クラブで少し飲みましたが日本より高価格で驚き！次は無かったです。
客室や朝食は問題なくのんびり過ごせました。

The menu in the room minibar is different from what is in it. Some items are not what is on the menu. I told the front desk that I would be in trouble if I was charged for unused items, but they said they knew about it and did nothing.
