It’s hard to figure out how to review this place. I would say for our 4 night stay it was okay. The beach is pretty. And I appreciate that there’s lots of chairs. If you want shade you can sit under a thick area of palm trees and I love that! So beach gets 5 stars.

Staff gets 4 stars: very sweet and hospitable. We had a really hard time getting to the hotel from the airport because Grab kept declining our request. When I called the hotel they arranged someone to come pick us up right away and within 5 minutes there was someone in a really nice car that came and got us!

Food/restaurant: Breakfast taste and presentation gets 5 stars! Best continental breakfast I’ve ever had in Southeast Asia!
Lunch and dinner is a little bit pricy but the flavor is amazing. Their bar tending could use some work. The mixed drinks were not good. Here’s the problem : My husband and I both got horribly sick with food poisoning or a type of stomach bug. We primarily ate at the bar/restaurant here at the hotel. I understand this may not be everyone’s experience and I hate to complain but the sickness was terrible for about 24 hours.
Note: the closest pharmacy is about a 10 min away

Room gets 3 stars. when I booked the room it said “standard bungalow” however it’s not really a bungalow bc it’s attached to 2 other rooms! Thankfully we got an end room! But we were really looking for some privacy with a standalone bungalow. The room could also use a coat of paint and general updating.

While this place is on the beach the facilities really need updating the staff at the restaurant need to learn to be wait staff as service is terrible There was a nightclub next door that went until 5am the aircon is not cold enough and extremely hard to adjust The water is not swim able as if you walk up a little bit there is sewage flowing into it the pool has no shade so the water is bath temperature night and day I would not recommend this hotel at all

Standard bungalow set in the grounds. Lovely outlook.
Quiet except for dogs barking most nights.
Bathroom was wet room. The shower was hand held which made washing hair more difficult than if the shower was attached to the wall.
Hairdryer could not be plugged in near a mirror so not ideal.
The staff all seemed a bit gloomy. Not many smiles.
Breakfast was ok. Only one choice of cereal and one choice of fruit juice. But usual choice of fruit, bread, egg station and Vietnamese breakfast choices.
Beds were comfy.
Beach was lovely. Plenty of natural shade from palm trees. Plenty of sun beds.

Our stay was fantastic-the bungalow near the beach was perfect except I wish there would have been at least one chair to sit down inside the cottage.

Stayed in a regular bungalow, everything was good. Would have liked block out curtains and a couple of chairs in room so you don’t have to sit on bed, but was fine. We got sick there and manager came down to see us and especially made us ginger and ginseng tea, nice touch. Easy to walk onto street, many shops and restaurants, and bus stops. Can get food from bar and sit on beach, some nights music. Beds comfy

I had a beachfront bungalow for 8 nights. The room was excellent. Bed was comfortable and staff cleaned the room each day. The beach was tidy and picturesque. Staff were lovely. Pool was great and clean. Gardens and trees very well kept. The only let down for this hotel is the food. The breakfast is unsanitary and i felt sick a lot during my stay, until towards the end after i stopped eating the breakfast. Nothing is cooled, and hot dishes are barely warm. Food poisoning waiting to happen. The food from the menu is not great either. I tried multiple things but it was not good. Live entertainers were very good as is having dinner on the beach, except for food quality. Please get some proper cooling and heating for your breakfast food. I am not sure if any food is refrigerated at all. Eat elsewhere when you stay here. There are nice restaurants out on the street that won't make you feel sick.

What an amazing stay!
We booked our stay with some questionable reviews, let me say we have had the most pleasurable holiday.
Check in was quick and we were then shown to our beachfront accommodation.
Our room had what we needed and was cleaned every morning.
Breakfast had an egg station and plenty of options.
When the websites say beach view, well you cannot get any closer.
We never encountered any mosquitoes and there is even a net over the bed which we didn’t use.
There is a pool, staff are always making sure the beach is clean.
There is a beach bar.
Such a relaxing holiday for us.

Little piece of paradise

We loved our stay here, felt like a little bit of paradise! :)
The beach is beautiful and clean (water not so much, but not much they can do), the room was spacious and housekeeping comes every morning. All the staff there is very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the beach bungallow and we wouldn't choose anything else, it's perfect.
Breakfast is good, but can get a bit boring if you stay for a longer period (we stayed for 12 nights).
PS: The lady that gives massages on the beach there is awesome, must try!

Great relaxing beach resort

We simply loved it, it’s a great place to chill, relax. To wake up listening to sea lapping onto the beach is the best way to start your day. The sunsets from your terrace across the palm fringed beach was lovely. Our room was lovely, super comfortable beds and awesome pillows, the a/c worked great. The gardens were manicured, the beach was kept spotless and there’s plenty of shade under the coconut trees. Breakfast was good, however the meals that the restaurant served were dull. There’s plenty of options to eat out just outside the hotel, we preferred to turn right.

The hotel’s location is excellent. The beach is about fifty meters in front of our bungalow. It is a very safe place to stay and enjoy holidays. The room is exceptionally clean, but the Wi-Fi is weak. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants and souvenirs shop nearby. The hotel has a restaurant offering excellent Vietnamese dishes. We had excellent free breakfast including Vietnamese soup called Pho, fried spring rolls, various Vietnamese dishes and fruits, cheese, bread, coffee, tea, juice … The restaurant staff are very polite and professional, as well as the staff at the reception desk. Regarding the room cleaning service, the staff did an excellent job. We will certainly stay here next time we visit Phu Quoc.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Star Resort in the beachfront bungalow. The bed was big and comfortable, the beach was clean and has many lounge chairs for guests, and it is walking distance to many great restaurants and street food vendors. I’d stay here again!

The hotel was absolutely fine for the cost of the room. Right on the beach and there is a bar next door that is great to watch the sunset. Breakfast was ok, could have had more options on the cooked menu and the buffet was very light on options. However, during covid it's obviously not easy to get this right. If looking for good value hotel in good location it is a decent option.

Good location, beach chalets are literally on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff. The air con in the room could be a little more powerful, maybe it just needs servicing, and breakfast could be a little more varied. Otherwise, I was really happy with my choice for 5 nights.

We stayed in a beach front cabin, which I would highly recommend. We spent many hours on the front porch out of the sun, but basically right on the beach. The included breakfast was good with lots of options and the food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was tasty and reasonably priced.
I didn't like that the ad for the hotel stated that they offered an airport shuttle service when they did NOT have one. Also I messaged them three times about getting picked up but they never responded.
The cabin was big enough and the bed was comfortable, but there were no chairs to sit on. Even the beach lounging chairs on the porch only had one position: recline! There was no place to sit only to lie down.
Also, there was only one water temperature available: cool. Hot water would have been nice.

A satisfactory experience nothing more and nothing particuarly less. The hotel and it's grounds are nice, with the pool and beach are being above average, but the rooms are tired and I was initially given a room. With a lot of damage to the floors, walls etc and with a very musty snell. At first they just send someone in to spray a bit of air freshener, but when I made it clear I wasn't happy, to their credit they moved me to the room next door. A good location for the local area. Close enough to the night market, local bars etc, but far enough away that you are not bothered by excessive noise.

The superior bungalow was perfectly placed, one row behind the beach bungalows, giving a little more privacy and still having beach views!
Always clean and friendly + helpful staff, the resort was relaxing and a nice 1-2km stroll into the night market!

Nice service with a good breakfast buffet

The room was a little small for a bungalow, but the bed was quite comfortable with good mosquito netting. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with Vietnamese noodles, eggs, warm dishes, toast, sweets, yogurt and coffee and juice. The service was friendly and the pool was clean. The wifi was a little patchy and the surf was rough because it was the rainy season.

Great value and well-located resort on Phu Quoc. The Breakfasts were wonderful and evening meals on the beach were high quality and very enjoyable. Loved the garden bungalows and the nice stretch of beach on which the resort is located.

We stayed in the hotel section, modern clean rooms.... next time i would book a bungalow on the beach they looked amazing... lovely clean beach...

Breakfast was buffet style with choice of the usual omelets fried or boiled eggs scambled, lovely overlooking the beach...
We hired a scooter from them to get around the Island, reasonable price.

Quiet but relaxing

It was a relaxing experience to stay in the hotel, it is not the kind of luxury hotel but it could meet all my expectations. Buffet breakfast is just OK but with this budget I was good with it, room is clean with a balcony. Easy access to private beach, just a minute walk through the swimming pool. I was lucky to enjoy 2 days sunshine on this quiet beach.

Happy enough with hotel, liked the location right on the beach, great beach views from pool, staff good. Only complaint - the beds in the garden view rooms are very hard. Suggestion to hotel - put a sign up at the buffet breakfast to say \"do not touch the food with your fingers, supervise your children at the buffet\". Ocean not swimmable on some days in monsoon season as too dangerous.

Sehr gute Lage mit vielen Restaurants etc.in der Nähe. Unser Strandbungalow war wie beschrieben. Er war ausreichend groß für 2 Personen, Terasse mit 2 Liegen, leise Klimaanlage udn ein breites Bett. Das Frühstücksangebot war sehr gut und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Der Strand war sauber und es gab immer genug Liegen. Auch das Restaurant war gut genauso wie die Strandbar. 2x die Woche gibt es Live-Musik. Zu Silvester gab es eine Buffet und eine Party. Insgesamt hat uns das Resort sehr gut gefallen. Erwähnene muss man noch die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschat des Personals

Diese Hotelanlage ist ein Traum.Wir hatten hier eine wunderschöne Zeit. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel hat einen schönen und gepflegten Garten mit vielen Palmen am Strand. Hier findet man immer ein schattiges Plätzchen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben in der Kategorie nicht zu hohe Ansprüche gehabt. Allerdings sind die Bungalows ordentlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirken sehr karg und wenig gemütlich. Mobiliar abgerockt, Steckdosen instabil, Belechtung entweder Nachttischlampe oder Neonröhre. Im Bad keine Steckdose und auch keine Abtrennung zwischen Dusche und WC. Warmes Wasser hatte ich zwei Mal in 6 Tagen.
Vorhänge gibt es nicht, sondern lichtdurchlässige Gardinen. Zimmerreinigung fand nur oberflächlich statt.
Das Frühstück wird in einem unklimatisierten Raum serviert und das Essen wird dort ebenfalls ungekühlt ausgelegt. Schlechteste Frühstück auf all meinen Reisen bisher.
Einzig der Privatstrand mit den hoteleigenen Liegen kann da punkten und auch das man fussläufig Supermärkte, Restaurants, Cafés etc. findet.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Hatten einen Bungalow direkt am Strand. Tolle Ausstattung und Größe des Bungalows. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.
Beim Frühstück gibt es eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist.
Direkt am Strand gibt es eine Cocktailbar und die Möglichkeit sich massieren zu lassen.

Gutes Hotel zu diesem Preis

Gutes Hotel direkt am Strand. Das Personal war freundlich und man konnte direkt im Hotel problemlos einen Roller mieten. Das Frühstück war gut, hätte abwechslungsreicher sein können. Die Strandliegen ist gut und die Lage ist super. In der Umgebung viele Restaurants, Bars und Supermärkte.

Die Lage direkt am schönen, gepflegten Sandstrand ist super. Die Anlage ist hübsch bepflanzt und hat einen großen, sauberen Pool. Frühstücksraum, Eingangsbereich und Zimmer könnte man etwas aufräumen/renovieren. Man muss eine kleine Straße von der Hauptstraße zum Hotel gehen, das hat uns aber nicht gestört, denn es war sehr ruhig. Beim Frühstück gab es viel Auswahl und Abwechslung. Preis/Leistung insgesamt gut!

Der Strandabschnitt ist der Schönste am Longbeach. Das wundervolle Resort hat ganz viele Palmen am Strand, unter den man im Schatten auf Liegen entspannen kann. Die Bungalows sind groß mit sehr großem Bett und Moskitonetz. Leider waren bei mir sehr viele Mücken im Zimmer, und ich wurde viel gestochen. Das Resort hat ein gutes „a la Card“ Restaurant und eine Bar direkt am Strand. Das Einzige was bei einem so tollen Resort endtäuschend war, war das Frühstück. Eigentlich hat nur der Kaffee geschmeckt. Mir hat das Sea Star Beachresort so wunderbar gefallen, dass ich gleich noch mal zwei Nächte dran gehängt hatte. Ich kann mir auch vorstellen hier noch mal her zu kommen.
