The one good thing was the location. But the room conditions were terrible, the bathroom walls had ciment every where, the bathtub had rust, the door had mold, and the beds and chairs were full of stains. Although the cleaning was ok. At the time of the checkout we ask If they could call us a cab, and the answer was that there were no cab available in the area, but they told us that we could walk to the cab line up and wait for one there, these made no sense, because when we live the hotel we see a bunch of cabs passing by. We pay 90 Euros for night for this terrible experience, I do not recommend this hotel!

Very old fashioned style hotel but easily accessible to nearby eateries, shopping and public transport.
There is barely space to walk in the room. Wooden design makes the already tiny room very creepy and cold. Chipped furniture, stained bedsheet, rusty edges. Not worth for the price but it was peak during xmas season. Take the higher floors i guess noise is lesser. Wifi connection is Terriible! Will not recommend for stay and suggest to management to renovate to keep up. The counter staff were also not very helpful and gave wrong information. Need to brush up in many areas.

Internet was slow and unstable. We dropped something under the bed and found it was extremely dirty (out of sight, out of mind mentality, apparently).

The hotel is nothing, absolutely nothing like the picture shows. It is a hotel located in the middle of a very busy street. The street is not close to any of the casino streets, so you will need a cab to commute. For the same price there are many other good hotels available in the city, which are located in the casino strips.

I stayed in room 1506. Bad things first: Furniture and washroom were old. WiFi was very very slow. The small fridge inside the room was not even working. Towels were old and had stains. Two ash trays inside the hotel room, this means smokers could smoke inside the room, but I am non smoker. Found a living cockroach running around inside washroom. However, there were some good things. ie. good location (local dwelling area), many fast food and eating around, bright lighting, good air conditioning, enough hot water for showers.

City hotel near historic Macao

We were disappointed in this hotel. We booked a non-smoking triple single bed room and were assigned a room that people had obviously been smoking in, right down to the supplied ash tray. When we asked for a non-smoking room, we were told that we could or could not smoke in the room! When we finally properly communicated our issue, we checked out a different - slightly less smoky, more damp (moldy?) room. Since we were basically stuck, we took it. (We saw signs that Macao had a brand new non-smoking in public areas law as of Jan 1, so Macao is starting to deal with this issue.)

They advertise a 2nd floor coffee shop but when we searched for it, it appeared to be gone. There is a restaurant on the 3rd floor.

The room and bathroom were clean. The staff tried to be helpful, but communications were difficult.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights.
At the first night, I got a room with molds on the wall --
the wall was between the bathroom and the main room. Multiple black spots and smelly.
I should have asked for a different room right away.

The next day, I asked for a different room.
The new room was much better in condition and no mode.

I gave a 2/10 for the first room and 8/10 for the second room.
That did not make it 5/10 for the overall though.

Even if it's the last place to stay I'd rather not

The hotel is located in the older section of town which has some nice attractions. The hallway and my room had a very strong mildew smell. To strong for me to stay the night. I coughed it up as a lesson learned. The room was really nasty. Bathtub had mildew all over. The sheets didn't look like they were washed. You could easily here the TV from the next room.

There was no hand towels, only bath towels and face washers. They do not change the dirty cups, just left in the room, you need to clean them yourself. Internet was extremely slow or unusable, they said too many users. Had to ask the hotel to clear the shower drain as dirty water built up.

The hotel is located in a residential area with walking distance to many point of interest if you don't mine walking. Buses are also available in the area to go the central or the boarder to mainland China. There are a few restaurants in the area for a quick meal or a typical Chinese (Cantonese) dim sum in the morning. The room was clean and quite. Although many groups of people stay in the hotel, I was assigned on a quiet floor.

Please stay away from this hotel!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed! The room is super stingy from cigarettes and the sheets are all moist! I have tried changing the room but none of them are clean! One of the rooms even has a power socket next to the pillow which a normal plug can't be plugged in with burnt mark! When I asked the housekeeping lady how can that be safe, she said it's ok, it won't burn! It's so horrible, the sense of safety of these people are negative! I have decided to change the hotel at 10pm and asked the front desk lady to get me a cab, she just made one call and told me there is none! The service is so terrible! Please stay away from this hotel!

my room is close to the life and the ding ding sound of the life is annoying over the night. besides, there are groups of chinese tourist getting in at 11pm n getting out at 8am, and they talker loudly when waiting for the lift. so get prepared.

I wrote a review earlier. I don't know why Expedia is requesting a new one. But I'm just gonna tell you that the staff were really respectful and helpful. The hotel needs many improvements and updating. I had to take a cold shower the 2 nights I was there. The bed was too firm. The room had no amenities. And the Chinese guests talk loud by nature and the room is not very sound proof. You get the picture. There's more negatives. But I'm back home and won't be going back there.

Great stay at Fu Hua Guang Dong Hotel.

Check in was absolutely pleasant. Receptionist on duty was exceptionally efficient, and even though I arrived at a rather dreary hour of the evening, he promptly checked me. Absolutely friendly staff, also very knowledgeable about the surroundings and modes of transport. It's not in the area where casinos are, but they are easily accessible by taxi or bus.

False advertisement! Big rip-off!

This hotel is NOTHING like the picture posted online.We thought we were going to stay at a park-like environment as shown, ended up it is situated on a busy narrow street crossing a major blvd. We were giving a room on the 13th floor. While stepping out the elevator, moldy smell filled the air.The bathroom is disgusting.Looking out the window, there are no view of pool or trees. Those pictures are obviously from another hotel and definitely not where we were staying. We have requested to change room, it was nice of front desk to move us to 21th floor, it is much better, but the bad feeling of being ripped off big time lingers. We are very upset. We had stayed at $60 motel better than than this. This costed us $129 for 1 night. On top of this, the Internet was super slow with frequent interruption.This hotel is a huge let down.We would not complain if the actual situation matches the pictures that sold us the place, and we know what we are getting. Very happy to show our pictures to prove our point, but doesn't seem like we can post pictures in review. We are not here to trash any business, but only want to prove false advertisement. We think Hotel.com should take down those falsified pictures immediately, so it won't miss lead other travelers.We use Hotel.com for years, we had been getting what we expected, but this experience gives us doubt.

I come to macau every two years to visit my father and this hotel is walking distance (15 mins) to his apartment. End up it is a big mistake. I travel with my wife and two kids. We got the three beds room and the room is small and smell. It has no smoking sign everywhere but there are 2-3 ashtrays in the room. When we push all three beds into one, I found a empty condom bag under the bed. The floor is very flirty too. I don't recommend this hotel to any family beside the location. The price isn't that cheap too.

Located on one of busiest streets in Macau

We had in the room (3 sharing) the AC is really bad.
Trying to rectify - the Hotel AC maintainence pulled out the filter laced with a thick dust - perhaps uncleaned for years.
The room is perpetually hot with temperature hovering at 27 degree centigrate. In the hot weather of 33 outside, coming back to the room of 27 degree is not attractive at all.

I stayed in this hotel during last Christmas in what appeared to be a newly renovated room on the upper floor. Unfortunately, in this recent stay, both of our rooms were assigned to the lower floor which apparently had not gone through any renovation. The rooms are OK for the price but the bathroom condition was quite bad with loose fixture and stain everywhere. A bit disappointed but I will still come back simply for its price and residential location away from the casino. You can catch a local bus ride to practically everywhere within the city.

The room and hotel was not as advertised and as a consumer, I feel cheated. Guys, spend a bit extra and go for a better option as money saved is not worth it. My experience in this hotel is just fine, nothing so spectacular, I should say. The hotel's front desk officer will guide you on how to go to Senado Square and other tourist spot using a map but with other hotel service or assistance like getting a taxi or shuttle, don't expect anything from them. The hotel room is clean, it's just the shower room that disappointed me. They gave us the room with a view of the Grand Lisboa & Macau Tower side so I think just that's a plus.

Nice hotel - chosen room has 3 single beds

I chose this hotel as their internet site clearly showed an optional room picture with 3 single beds which was exactly what I required. Rarely do hotels show such facilities (even if they exist). The hotel is in an older part of town but it was quiet and there are plenty of shops nearby and the surrounding street area is neat and tidy. From the Hong Kong/Macau ferry terminal it's easy to get to the hotel by taxi. Catch a taxi from the hotel to the marvelous Venetian casino complex and then walk around to the nearby casinos. Taxis are relatively cheap (but not quite as cheap as Hong Kong). At the ferry complex there are plenty of persons trying to get you to undertake a 3 hour car/SUV tour of the city. There original asking price is $1000 Macau dollars but you should be able to get one for about $750. This is a car price and not per person. These tours take you to the best sights and you get about 20 minutes at each location which is adequate. Take one of these tours if you only have limited time in Macau.

This is one of those grand hotels, probably one of the first here, a high rise. With a room on the backside, it was quiet. Very helpful front desk. 1 restaurant. No pool or gym. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. An easy ride to and from airport.

My room on the 17th floor was big and quiet.

Um... I am a clean freak so....

Hairs were in the drawers. Crumbs on the desk chair.

Sunflower seed on the floor so I decided to wear slippers all the time while walking on the not cleaned floor.

I bought a beer for my mini fridge. When I opened it, a pervious customer's food was still in there.

I was grossed out!! This is a basic cleaning service that wasn't taken care of.

After tax, it cost 106 usd to stay here.

Royal Macao hotel is beautiful and after taxed it can be booked for 120 usd.

The staff was nice. Hopefully clean bed sheets.

I can't stay here again after the lack of cleaning.
