This was the second time I stayed at the Rio. The reasons I picked this location were free parking, off the strip and I didn't have to walk thru the whole casino with my luggage. I'm old school. I like to actually check in with a human. Unfortunately, corporations are eliminating the human touch. Customers pay for services they will not use. If you like views and a quiet place to stay, choose the Rio.

Overall, I had a great stay in Las Vegas. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing trip. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around and enjoy everything the city has to offer.

We paid a $25 early check in fee to have access to a room for resting after 12 hours of ttavel. The early arrival time was 11am, but at 1:30pm, it was still not available! We finally got assigned to a room around 1:50pm and were given the wrong room number, so our keys would not work! We had to go back to the front desk to resolve the issue. Once we finally got into our room, everything was ok.

Room was not ready at 4pm check-in. No ice bucket, no cups, no mini fridge, no microwave. I have stayed at Rio multiple times over the last 16 years, but this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, I will not be back.

We had a great time but the fridge in the room was out of order and we had breast milk we needed to keep cold; the ice machine worked as a makeshift solution but it was inconvenient. The staff was great and we enjoyed the pool.

The room was clean and updated for the most part but the handle to safe was a command hook and there was no fridge. The TV channels were very minimal. Room was spacious and the bed comfy. Casino and shows were nice and the food we tried was decent. Eggslut has great staff and a yummy vanilla cold foam coffee. Check in was a breeze. Will return again

Very disappointed with our stay, especially considering the overall cost of the trip.

We paid extra for a penthouse, but the AC didn’t work in one room and could not be fixed, forcing us to get an additional room at our own expense. The room itself was outdated and not well maintained (door wouldn’t lock properly, safe didn’t work, worn carpet, damaged drapes).

We also had ongoing issues with room keys not working, requiring multiple trips to the front desk. Service at the front desk was slow, with long waits and limited staff able to resolve issues. The overall condition of the property, including the entrance and doors, felt worn down and poorly maintained.

Pool service was also frustrating due to ordering issues with their system.

Positives: housekeeping was excellent, and the steakhouse was very good—our waiter James provided great service.

Overall, not worth the cost and would not recommend.

One of the most disappointing Experiences I have ever had in Las Vegas. Considering that we were there for my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary, we received no attention on arrival. Not even a happy birthday. We got lost finding our room, because there was no one around to guide us. We were put in a room with a broken shower/toilet and spent an entire day trying to figure out the problem. not working. We had to cancel our plans on our anniversary. The front desk told us they gave us an upgraded room and a comped meal at the steakhouse. The reality was that we were moved to a different room that was not an upgrade and we were comped $100 on our meal. That was the only nice gesture we received during our entire experience. The next day we wanted to go to Luckily to grab a quick salad before catching the evening show at The sphere. We both ordered salads and asked if they could add protein on them. I got steak, my wife got salmon. We were not told that adding protein to our salads would cost us an extra $100. It feels like common courtesy to tell someone who orders a $17 salad that adding protein is going to quadruple the cost of the meal. So the comp that was provided to us was quickly erased by that very unethical move. We felt robbed and that was really the last straw. For a trip that started with so much excitement and promise, we left Las Vegas tremendously disappointed. We will never stay at the Rio again nor will we ever recommend it.

Slots are very tight customer service is zero everyone we ran into whether it was a restaurant employee or front desk employee treat you like you're an inconvenience. And if you want to talk to someone in person forget about it even your phone in room goes to Rita who is a computer and she will argue with you to get a live person and then expect to be on hold for 40 minutes at least minimum. Our room was very clean and nice that was the only good thing about the whole stay, had maintenance issues in our room took two days to get somebody up there and then they didn't even fix everything and said they'll be right back and never came back so luckily I ran into head of security in the casino as I was gambling finally seen someone I could talk to and his name was Rob and he was great and called in the next thing you know maintenance was in our room within the hour fixing the problem. I would never go back and stay there again or give them another dime of my money but I will say Rob head of security and the waitress at The Comedy Cellar Lindsey we're great.

I loved the environment, the access to the pool and how organized the room was everyday and it was very comfortable. My only thing that I didn't like was the hidden fee for the pool and use of Wi-Fi which we were charges $50 a night. This wasn't on the price listed nor were told until we arrived. Other than the that, the hotel is nice

I had the worst experience of my life at your hotel.

The check-in process was extremely poor. I had to wait for about two hours before I was assisted, which is unacceptable.

In addition, after I checked out, I was charged an extra $142 without a clear explanation. I am requesting a full refund of this amount.

My TV went out while I was watching it, which was a bit disappointing. I left a message with the AI system to create a service ticket. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy it while getting ready for the night. It was working again when I returned to my room, but since I was only staying for one night, it didn’t really matter.

Another unfortunate issue was that while ironing, the iron left a stain on my shirt—worse yet, it was a white shirt. Not to mention, there was only one roll of toilet paper available, which was also disappointing.

Room was great but internet service sucked. Also the tv kept going out and it would take all day to get it serviced. Very inconvenient! I texted the number for towels and never got serviced. When I went to the front desk they blamed AI. Not my problem! Service your guests! And you can’t get anyone on the phone for nothing. Was on hold for 45 minutes after submitting the same request 4x. Very irritating… I would not recommend anyone to stay here!

Room was not as pictured on Expedia and when we said that to the staff they stated that Expedia it's not update their pictures so be prepared to get something that you're not expecting. It also was not the cleanest as there were dirty cups under the cabinet in the room when we walked in. And last but not least we were woken up at 6:00 a.m. to what sounded like grinders of some sort and it went on until we checked out.

Clean and big rooms in Ipanema tower. Friendly and helpful staff, few but good eating options. Appreciate having a Starbucks for AM coffee. Small Convenience store that is open 24 hours was a plus. Free and plenty of parking. Only downside, pool hours are short 11am - 5pm. Would definitely consider staying again.

Rooms are large, updated and nice. Elevators are terrible - just expect to wait minutes for one sometimes. The hotel should have planned better and doubled the amount. Housekeeping is not very responsive - they use some AI computer when you call for needs and they brought towels very fast but other calls they never delivered at all - very disappointing that things were missing or empty and they never cared to take care of it. Overall the hotel is average.

It was quite packed all weekend and the lines were long, even to get a black coffee at the Starbucks. I felt that the resort fee was a bit much, and paid for things I didn't intend to use. The elevators were also packed and it seemed that I could not use the stairs unless it was a fire or emergency, based on the signs on the doors.

The most significant concern I had was that my room key deactivated around 10am before checkout. I went for a quick run and I couldn't get back in to shower and checkout, so I had to go back downstairs and wait in another long line while my remaining time before 11am chipped away. Eventually, a security card needed to let me into my room and see my ID after he let me into the room. He was nice, but this seemed all needlessly complicated since it was not yet checkout time yet.

Overall though, I enjoyed the size of the room, the staff I interacted with were very kind and friendly, and it was a comfortable stay.

Staff was absolutely careless. No one at all at cared to help with any issue I had. There was a handicapped gentleman in the elevator having issues and I told security and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I found a manager who simply listened to me and carried on what she was doing. The phone in my room did not work during my entire stay. I couldn't even use my cell phone to contact the front desk because they use AI. I had to go down to the front desk to ask a question at 3am. I bought a coffee at the shop ON THE PROPERTY and was not allowed to drink it at the pool. I was hit with a sticker fee shock when I was required to put down a $100 PER NIGHT deposit on my room. This was not on the receipt and expedia did not give any warning. I will not visit rio again nor will I use Expedia for any travel plans in the future.

Don’t use the kiosk to check in. They have been having some trouble with that. Thank goodness we found someone to help us get our key cards. Then I was given a small discount since I we only staying one night and we didnt get there til about 7. I forgot his name but he was super nice and very attentive. This has been my third time staying there and I have never been disappointed by the staff or the hotel itself.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom amenities were very nice. I normally don’t use hotel shampoos and washes, but these were very nice. We ate at smashburger a few times and would def go again.
