Can be confusing if you didn't know they place amenities in the drawer at bathroom. At first, I didn't know they were in the drawer, so I called housekeeping about the issue. They respond immediately and one of the housekeeper came to our room in less than 3-5 minutes. The deluxe room has some wear and tear, but overall, room in pretty good condition. We got to the hotel at 10:30AM and room is not ready, so we dropped our belongings with the concierge and walked to sightseeing places. By 2-2:30 PM, room is ready. Location is very convenient. Hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from ferry port, bus stops nearby and within walking distance to many sightseeing places. There is a free shuttle bus to the City of Dream that is very close to the hotel. The free breakfast buffet offers lots of selection. Will stay again the next time I come to Macau.

Excellent hotel in Macau. They sent a minibus to pick up up from the airport. The counter representative was very nice. She personally wen to our rooms to explain everything. The best is the all can eat breakfast. OMG. Don't miss that! Definitely will stay again if we head back.

Holiday at The Grand Emperor Hotel Macau

The hotel was central and in the locality we wanted to stay in. We were upgraded and the room was clean and bed comfortable. The service staff were warm and helpful since it was the first time we were visiting Macau. The Assistant Front Office Manager Jenny Zhao very sweetly organised a birthday cake for my husband. We enjoyed our stay at the The Grand Emperor Hotel. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to visit Macau.

Was upgraded upon check-in to a spacious executive room. The staff are friendly and take their time to explain all details of the amenities. It's my second time back at the Grand Emperor Hotel, and it was great as before! Very impressed with the service - the staff were very friendly and attended to our needs quickly. The family room we requested for was spacious, clean and well furnished!

I am ever so pleased with the location - it is located within walking distance of tourist attractions such as the Ruins of St Paul and Senado Square and is only a 3-5 minute walk away from the centre area where you can hop on a bus to the New Macau area.

Check in was quick and our receptionist was friendly. They upgraded our room to include complimentary breakfast.
Views were amazing from our 19th floor room.
We had a deluxe room with a Kingsize bed...very comfy indeed :) Complimentary beer and soft drinks was a bonus too!
We also had Handy which was great getting around Macau.
Location was good for casino's and only 100m for complimentary shuttle bus to Studio City and City of Dreams...definitely worth a visit.
Breakfast was great with lots of options.
Highly reccommend and when we return to Macau will definitely stay again!!!

A Grand hotel which is Emperor.

The check in was quick and accommodating. My previous request for a no smoking room was addressed thru an upgrade to Executive floor.we don't mind that at all. The room is huge . The breakfast is also very good. Given another chance or proper timing when booking, I will always book in the Grand Emperor hotel . And there's even a free airport shuttle. Fantastic is the proper word to describe our experience.

My second visit to Grand Emperor Hotel, it is different from Emperor Hotel. Good location, approx 5-10mins walk to Senado Square, Grand Lisbao, Wynn and next to New Yao Han.

Room was upgraded to executive. Huge room with sofa and power points are abundant.

Wow factors for attraction are limited but is expected for a local hotel compared to mega casino, eg Wynn, MGM, Galaxy, Venetian, Grand Lisbao but it does have change parade for the \"British Royal Guard\" and also significant amount of 1 KG gold bar placed on the floor at the lobby.

Macau transport is \"free\" if you know how to make use of hotel's shuttle buses service. Grand Emperor provides limited locations but it provides frequent service to Macau outer harbour ferry terminal so it is easy to hope on buses to Cotai. MGM, Galaxy and City of Dream also provides frequent shuttle at the opp street (opp Yao Han). Only trouble is buses to airport/ Taipa ferry terminal is 1 hr interval and all buses requires you to travel to level 2 (which is L4) to collect the boarding ticket in the Casino. I would expect if they could accept hotel room guest to shows the room card as verification to save the hassle.

Breakfast is good with mix choices of Chinese and western. No complain.

Short Overnight Trip to Macau

The hotel location was centrally located in Macau. The room was standard American size and is considered large for Asia standards. The amenities package that the hotel provided us were nice and the staff were very friendly. The issue we had with our room was the air condition did not work properly to cool the room, which made it uncomfortable during the middle of the night and it was too late for us to complain since we were only staying for 1 evening. The shuttle wait at Cotai was longer than 30 minutes, which was like 50 minutes and there was not a clear indication where the bus stop was. Overall, the hotel was okay and it is showing is age, we chose it for its location.

we eventually stay 2 nights in macau and 1 night in hong kong.
Hotel is comfy but it's a bit pricey.
Other than that, we've got a free upgrade of room from the hotel. Yay for that!
Location is strategic, it's about 10 minutes walk to senado square, st.paul ruins, etc.
The hotel itself has a casino and gaming entertainments. It has branded shops like Cartier, Rolex and etc in the building too.
Hotel breakfast is good, variety of food from chinese to western.

With the seamless arrangement of a little surprise for my parents, Ms Jenny Zhao, one of the the hotel AM, had provided us a streamline arrangement.
I ordered a cake through Jenny and the cake tasted superb and my parent loved it.

fantastic first visit to Macau

The location of the hotel is really very convenient. Walking distances from all big hotels with casinos and from shopping area. Lobby is not overly crowded as compared to big hotels and i would definitely stay again for next trip to macau. Staff are friendly and the ambience of the hotel is fantastic as well. My wife and I had a great stay here. Even if we were not able to get a non smoking room, our room never smelled of cigarettes. The hotel's location was in the center of Macau. Most tourist attractions were just a 15 min away by walking, the ones that were not were just a cab or bus riding away.

We booked a semi-harbour view room. Hotel was decent sized, with high ceiling which is a plus. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean enough. Amenities were basic but sufficient. Well served by nearby local eateries, a complete delight for someone who like to take in local fare. Not 100% convenient, but within bus distance to train. All in all, value for money. Well worth it!

We reserved a 4-night stay at this hotel. yet, after the first night our room cards were disabled. As we came back at night time, it was rather inconvenient to us. The hotel should make sure the cards are functioning properly for the patrons' full period of stay. Furthermore, we noted there were tiny moth flies in the bathroom, indicating thorough and proper cleaning is required.
We also consider it a waistvof resource to replace toothbrushes and slippers everyday even though we were still staying at the hotel for the nights.
Other than the above, the hotel was satisfactory.

Our room was upgraded to the deluxe, and it was very comfortable and large. The hotel itself is overdone in gaudy gold and marble, but that was the charm and fun. The room service was slow and bit rude when we needed an urgent band-aid, and the breakfast buffet was typical China style, so depends on your tastes. However overall, I would stay again since it had great location, nice rooms, with a reasonable price.

GRAND EMPEROR HOTEL - MACAU

I stayed at the Grand Emperor Hotel while in Macau and had a very good experience there.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast (included in the price of your room) is a great amenity that has both tasty and healthy options, and there is even a decent little gym upstairs (in case you need to recharge in between activities while in Macau).

Location-wise, I really liked this hotel. It is walking distance to a number of attractions and casinos on the Macau Peninsula, and shuttle service is available to hotel guests for going to the ferry or the border gate. The Macau Peninsula is a great area to walk around and explore, and this hotel puts you in a great location to do just that.

The Grand Emperor Hotel is a great value considering the cleanliness and size of the rooms, as well as the great location and service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others staying in Macau.

Great stay, perfect if BPL available

Stayed in this hotel several times already due to its prime location. This time the room given was spacious and comfortable,indeed excellent in all aspects. Hotel staff is helpful as always and responds to our requests instantly. Overall it is a value for money choice.

Only disappointment was that there was no British Premier League tv channel this time which the hotel used to provide. From my experience other hotels of similar grading in Macau usually provides such channel, which is quite important to football fans like our family.

We were there on 9/10-10/10/14 on a short family trip in Macau.

The hotel's strategic location was just 5-8 mins walk to Senado Square and it provides free shuttle bus to ferry terminal upon showing our guest card. Other than the ferry terminal, it also provides free shuttle bus services to the immigration of Zhu Hai.

The most enjoyable experience with Grand Emperor Hotel was their staff. Ms Miu Lin was the one who assisted us in our check-in to the hotel. Her willingness to go for that extra mile for their guests was commendable. She upgraded our rooms and her patience in explaining how we can get to one place to another was acts of service to ensure guests are comfortable and needs of the guests are being met.

Will definitely revisit this hotel if i am back in Macau!

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Emperor Hotel. It was very central to everything and within easy walking distance to most of the historic sites in the city. Getting to Macau from Hong Kong and return to the International airport by the turbo jet ferry services was great and made the trip a lot easier. The room was very comfortable and of a very high standard. It had most things required and it was very quite considering the amount of gambling that went on 24hrs in the floors below that had the casinos'.

Very nice hotel - if Macau is your thing

Grand Emperor is a very nice hotel that has very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. The location is excellent, close to Lisboa, Wynn, MGM, and Senado Square. Taxi to Venetian is necessary, as it is across the water. Free shuttle to and from ferry terminal. The history of Macau is interesting and worth learning about but the district is rather limited. Do not expect any kind of Vegas gambling or attractions. One of the reasons Macau is not fairing so well is the drastic lack of anything at all for visitors to do. Not worth more than 1 or 2 days.

This was a beautiful hotel with English guards and carriages greeting us. The hotel lobby security is pretty serious, they start questioning you if you aren't moving around enough. Besides that, the staff was very friendly and multilingual. our room was very clean and spacious. We had free wifi, but I'm not sure if that was because we booked online or if its always free. The complimentary breakfast was great; a great place to get a cup of coffee before you stagger down to gamble another day away. They had a good food court; not too expensive. The location was very convenient and close to Wynn and MGM. There is a free bus shuttle to the ferry terminal as well. Not much more I can ask for! I would definitely recommend and consider staying here next time as well.

It was a great stay. The checking in was not that good. We reached the hotel at 12pm but was told it will be ready by 1.30pm. However, in the end, we only managed to check in at 3pm. Other than the checking in delay, all others are great. The staff is courteous and the room comfortable. We stayed in their delux room. The location is good, with yaohan next door and free shuttle buses at the opposite hotel to tourist attractions. Casinos there are about 3 levels too. It is a grand and comfortable stay without being too costly.

I have already fully paid the room charges upon confirmation of booking more than a month ago. Upon checking in, I was asked to pay HKD 1,000 which I then handed my credit card for their recording of the credit card details instead of cash. However I checked out 2 days kater, I noted that the hotel had actually charged my credit card for the HKD 1,000 deposit even though I had not incurred any expenses in the hotel, I was told by the hotel that the HKD 1,000 would be refunded to my credit card account within a fortnight. This is not the practice in all the hotels that I had previously stayed where the hotel would only charge the credit card upon checking out to pay for expenses incurred. This hotel is apparently very calculative here.

Wow

This is a four star hotel, with 5 star food and a very nice buffet. Everything was well beyond what we expected for a 4 star hotel.

The only thing we didn't like was that public areas of Macau are smoke filled, especially during the evenings in the casinos.

Make sure to get a non-smoking room if you mind the smell.

This Hotel's floor was lined Real Gold bars, but the food here is the real treasure. The first night we had a personal Hot Pot (9th floor I believe) meal that was simply the best hotpot we have had anywhere in the world!
