It is easy to get to and close to Suvarnabuhm, with a nice selection of street food available close by, the hotel is in 3 parts, a front block, a walkway lined with cute little cabin style rooms, and a rear block. The room was a reasonable size and good value. Unfortunately it was not possible to get the advertised WiFi in that part of the hotel. The shower was good when it worked, but only possible to use when other guests weren’t using theirs. There was no’ please make my room’ sign and it wasn’t explained to us that you have to go to the front desk and ask if you want it cleaned/ new towels. Other than on the front desk of the front block, The staff did not speak either English or Thai, so it wasn’t possible to ask for what you want. Although there were both on site, There was no restaurant or coffee shop available, but I’m not sure whether that was because it was new year, or they are permanently closed. There isn’t much else nearby, but lotus, 3 sevens and numerous street food options within a few minutes walk.

Staff were polite and friendly. Some of the power points not working, one powerpoint blew out my hearing aid when I put it on charge. I had the correct powerpoint adaptors. The room was clean and quiet being off the main street. Taxi on arrival dropped off was at the main Resort entry. However unaware one must walk to the main street to pick up an ordered taxi, so missed my taxi order because I waited out the front of the Resort.
The Thong Ta Resort is not too far from the airport.

Pros - close to the airport and very cute ornaments around the hotel.

Cons - we booked a room for 4 but settled for 3 on the main floor as there’s no lift and we only used the room to shower before our night flight. There were only 3 towels in the room but the receptionist refused to give us 4.

The hotel with bugs reminded me hotels of Paris

It was the worst hotel I have seen,
Many bugs in the bed, and small spiders in the air, in addition to mosquitos, it was not possible to open the door of the toilet after being closed from inside until a maintenance staff came to break the door lock late at night.

I only stayed for 10 hours before my flight left but the 10 hours was great. They were friendly, got me into my room quickly and helped me get a taxi from the hotel to the airport. There was coffee in the room as well as bottled water, a kettle and a mini fridge. I would definitely stay again.

Close to BKK airport 200baht taxi ride including a tip.
Large room, slightly softer than the usual Thai bed. Street food 30m and 7eleven just 50m.
Carried my bags to the room, ensured air condition was on and working, called taxi for return to airport.

Old run down hotel very hard to find. Located in a small Soi next to street food market.noisy area cats howling in the morning and customers arguing with the ladies at night. Bed OK and clean no toiletries so bring your own. That said it is very cheap and good Street food nearby.

This property will leave a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. The check in staff were grumpy and gave the impression that they didn't want to be there and saw us as an imposition. The room was dated and the bathroom had black mould around the fixtures. The shower was tiny and the water drained towards the door. The wifi was intermittent at best and you only had YouTube available on TV. Definitely NOT recommended.

The toilet is blocked, the shower room water outlet is blocked. The blankets are dirty with cemen and the bed sheet, pillow cases are used. The staff cannot speak Thai or English. They must be a cheap foreign labour from neighbouring countries.

This hotel stay was as bad as it gets. No transfers, restaurant closed, no breakfast/meals, reeked of paint and wood staining. Room full of mosquitos, badly bitten. Only two sachets of coffee in room, l asked for tea they said they didn't have any. Air Con was rusty, old and made such an awful sound. No English speaking channels on very old type TV with terrible reception. Old hard bed. No Spa and why it's in the name is beyond me, it doesn't exist. This hotel is a shambles, you shouldn't send people here, it's not good for Hotels.Com if you really care for your clients. Even 1* is too much for this wreck of a hotel.

This property was super dirty. It was the first property in 2 months of travel that didn’t offer free WiFi. At breakfast you do not have a choice. Sheets were stained, shower walls and gross. I would not recommend anyone stay here unless you are on a very small budget but even then you can find a better value for your money

I have stayed here many times in the past but this will be my last stay. Barely any WiFi at the front desk and none in the rooms, and I understand that it has even this way for a while. No power to the hot water so cold showers ! Ripped sheets on the bed. The mattress is ready for the trash heap ! It crunches when you sit down, sinks way down where you sit and a wire/spring actually came up through the sheet and poked into my leg !! AC worked well. We had to leave too early to get breakfast, so no comment on the food.

This property has served me for many many years because of the convenience of the shuttle service from and back to the airport no matter what time you arrive and have to return. If all you need is a place to sleep it does OK. Sometimes the air conditioners don’t work great and they’re loud or dripping water And this time one of the desk was broke and falling off the wall. But they are very quick and efficient even with very very little English.

The Room did not look like the pictures, was not very well kept dead mosquitoes all over the bathroom ceiling and walls. Door knob was missing to the bathroom there was no plug for the TV. And the slot where you put the Room key was defected. Will not be staying again. Orbitz should definitely update the pictures because it does not match . The rooms are spacious but the bed mattress have been there for 20 years. Hotel close to airport and lots of local vendors. Don't pay for the breakfast because you will get an awful tasting hot dog, a smelly egg with a tasless piece of ham on a piece of lettuce offered with an almost completly sugared orange flavored drink guaranteed to put you in diabetic shock should you be brave enough to chance it. Many of the hotel staff are not local thais which reflects in the hotel service. Room service tried to charge me 3 timesX what I paid at another hotel for 2 times less the clothes I had to wash. I was also asked for pocket change by an employee on the hotel grounds whick kinda bothered me because my sonwas with me. Keep in mind though the spacious rooms, improved internet, and the many great vendors nearby make this a good place to experience local vendors selling Thai dishes.

Room poorly maintained/serviced. 2 (of 4) ceiling light bulbs had burned out (and hadn't been replaced). The balcony sliding glass door was completely missing its Door Lock mechanism! In-room phone didn't work; staff had to come to room, notify me of an incoming call ... which required me going to the lobby. Didn't see a swimming pool on the property. Restaurant was closed the entire afternoon & evening we stayed there. On a positive note, staff were pleasant & airport shuttle service ran on time, as scheduled.

The only good thing was the proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service. The shuttle was super convenient. Otherwise the building itself is very outdated and everything is really old. We didn’t have a proper door handle on the bathroom and the sheets had massive holes in them. Pictures did not match the room we had.

This is a simple hotel at a great price. The free shuttle is convenient. The hotel's condition is a little run down and needs some repairs but the staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. The best thing about the hotel is the location. In front of the hotel there is a fantastic night market full of delicious street food.

Don't look for a sign in the airport that says \"Thong Ta Resort & Spa\". Look instead for the one that reads \"Thongta\". Unfortunately, we couldn't find it at first because the staff was leaning against the sign blocking it. We called the hotel and they gave us the staff's mobile number, but he didn't pick up. Had to walk around for 15 minutes asking various people who finally pointed him out to us and then when he walked forward we noticed the sign behind him. He wasn't very polite and then told us \"Go over there\". Took another 30 minutes after that for the ride, and then we had to guess the ride was there as he simply waved a hand and walked out the door.

The hotel driver was very helpful and friendly, though.

Air Con at rm 112 was defective. It was fixed several times, worked for a short time, only to not work again. By 1 AM, when it was clear that it cannot be fixed, I was transferred to another room, on the 5th floor. i was offered to be helped in taking my luggages, thanks to the hotel helper. But a lot of inconvenience...

Finding a different place next time

It’s very unfortunate to leave such a bad review as we’ve always had a good experience with this hotel. It was late and we waited a very long time to get a baby cot all to be told after calling multiple times that it was broken. Only upon insisting and further waiting and finally going down to the front desk did we FINALLY at least get a small mattress for the floor (not quite a rollaway). Also, we were put on the 5th floor in the old building despite requests for the newer side and lower floor. Of course there is no elevator and we have two small children. The air conditioning in the room was set on the coldest setting for 8 hours and still never got cool. Our requests were not heard and the only bonus was the shuttle ride had air conditioning. Next time we’ll be finding another location - any suggestions?

Very convenient to the airport, have stayed here many times. It seems to have gone downhill a bit lately. The last two times we did not have access to WiFi. Beds are clean and comfortable in a stiff kind of way, sometimes the shower is good, sometimes not so good. For the price it is okay, we may look elsewhere next time after at least ten years of staying here each year. We may be getting old for the hard beds and iffy showers, but the WiFi is not negotiable for us.
