We were pleased to be upgraded to a one bedroom suite and we each also received a complementary welcome drink. The staff at Chateau Elan were wonderful as were the restaurant and golf staff at The Vintage. The unit was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We would rate this establishment and especially its staff as 5 stars plus! Needless to say, we would highly recommend as stay at Chateau Elan as well as the restaurant and golf at The Vintages.

It’s always a great get away at Chateau Elan. Love everything about it. Check in was very good, the rooms were very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The view was wonderful and the kangaroos randomly hopping past our door an added bonus. Loved it!

Hotel was good, staff was excellent (Holly and the other 2 gentleman at the reception), however the cleanliness is not something I appreciated. Room was full of dust and you can tell it has not been cleaned in days, otherwise it wouldn’t be collecting dust. Also, the bathroom area had a very unpleasant smell. House keeping team must be spoken too

The room was specious and with a private terrace facing the grounds. Clean, silent and well furnished. Only light by the mirror was not for makeup. Small towels for a luxurious hotel. We didn't have the opportunity to eat at Legends Restaurant - one night they were too busy, the next day I rang to reserve a table - I was put on hold but I gave up waiting - then the next night the restaurant was closed.

Chateau Elan is an excellent place to stay. Grounds are immaculate, staff cannot do enough for you and the spa is wonderful.
We stayed in the spa suites, they are nice but can be a bit noisy. We previously stayed in the villa studio and prefer that room. The restaurants are very good and restaurant staff are so kind.
We had spa treatments and they were excellent. Staff at the spa will ensure you are happy and comfortable.
We will definitely return to the chateau!

We recently spent three days in a spa suite on the first floor, and the experience was truly memorable. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful. I could see peaceful landscapes and even had the chance to spot wildlife like wallabies and kangaroos, which added a special touch to the stay.

The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. However, I did notice that the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. There was quite a bit of dust settled on the furniture, which was disappointing given the otherwise relaxing atmosphere.

Food-wise, there were not many options available for vegetarians or vegans. If you follow a plant-based diet, you might find the menu a little limited.

Despite these small issues, the natural surroundings and the chance to see wildlife made the stay feel unique and refreshing. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and dietary variety, this place could easily become a top choice for a peaceful getaway.

We had a really lovely stay. The staff at check in were polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the area as we visited from interstate. The grounds were kept beautifully maintained, there were a few different options within close range for meals and within short driving distance to a lot of the vineyards. The only issue I had considering the price per night was minor damages that should have been fixed such as the mini fridge door coming off its hinges. Overall great stay and will definitely recommend.

Anniversary in the Villa next to construction

We told the hotel we were booking for our 35th wedding anniversary and they put us in the villa directly beside the construction work on the neighbouring property. The room was nice with a gas fireplace and large bathtub but the noise of cutting pavers and road grading went on from 7am to 4pm every day.
They didn't warn us about the noise when we booked and they put us in the Villa right on the end next to the work. We felt like we drew the short straw

Our son had his wedding there as well.
Spacious rooms, quiet, great bar and restaurant. Bar food was excellent.
Only disappointment was our bed which was noisy but also sunk down on one side. Not comfortable at all.

Lovely stay in the Hunter.

Always a pleasant stay in the villas, our second stay here.
Large bathroom with spa jets and bathrobes.
We celebrated my wifes birthday and a beautiful peice of chocolate cake met us on arrival.
Beautiful grounds and kangaroos. Super comfortable bed and large spacious rooms.
Ample parking right outside.

Nice place. Beautiful setting on the golf course. We stayed in a one bedroom villa unit which was pleasant enough but a bit tired looking. Bed wasn’t the best either - felt like I was rolling downhill all night.

Pay the extra for a hotel room

We had booked a Villa Studio with Golf View room. Very disappointed with it. Firstly, it was run down and in need of refurbishment. Secondly, the balcony had a solid wall and, if you were sitting down, your eye level was below the top of the wall - that's not a \"View\". Spoke to reception and upgraded to one of the Spa Suites in the main hotel block for a discounted upgrade fee. So much better.

It's the third time I've stayed at the Chateau Elan, and I was extremely disappointed in the overall cleanliness and facilities provided.

Our room had dead bugs around the place (floor and bathtub), which I noticed immediately upon check-in. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned, with dirt rims around the inside of the tub tub, (I booked the spa suite purely for the bath and I was too turned off to use it).

In addition, the main light didn't work in the room and given I was rushing to attend a wedding, I didn't have time to waste and managed to do my makeup with very poor lighting.

Overall the room was terribly dusty, to the point that my sinus' has become severely inflamed the last two days with mild nose bleeds (as I am pregnant and sensitive to dust).

Breakfast buffet was just as poor, with the food being Luke warm and hardly felt fresh (aside for the fried eggs I ordered fresh).

I don't typically like leaving negative reviews, but for the premium price paid, I'm extremely disappointed. I cancelled alternate accomodation as it was my preference to return to this venue, based on two positive past experiences. I'd like to hope Chateau Elan takes this seriously, as I verbalised my concerns at checkout, and am awaiting to hear from management.
