The room was exceptionally big as was the bathroom!! Very quiet and very clean!!
We ventured over to the pub for a meal and it amazing!!! Very fast and excellent value for money!!
We had a punt on the pokies and I had a win!!
We then went outside and listened to the live entertainment, which was very enjoyable.
My sister and I were only there for less than 24 hours as we had to be up very early to go hot air ballooning (which I also recommend), but we both agreed that we will be returning and bring more friends with us!!

Not such a great experience, arrived on site to be told check in, is up the road at Mercure.

The room was run day and really needs some maintenance, paint and the furniture is extremely old and outdated.

The shower head leaks like anything and hits the ceiling two showers for the price of one.

The pub food is absolutely amazing and drinks are great

Disappointed in my stay. We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bdr room. There was ants in both bedrooms near the bed head. Had to spray insect spray and clean area. Found 3 cockroaches. Toaster didn’t work and requested replacement. Bin was full from previous people and smelt like smoke, think previous people were smokers.
The room it’s self was old and dated, requires some renovation. Outside backyard view an access to vineyard was the highlight of the stay.

The room was large, good shower, bed was very soft for my liking. Good price. Would stay again.

Had lunch and drinks up the road at eRemo it was amazing would highly recommend. Had dinner at Harrigan’s and that was also it was very satisfying.

The reception was friendly and fast, the pool was lovely on a 38 degree day and all the gardens are well kept.
Rooms were spacious with tea and coffee making and a good size fridge but would have liked a toaster and bowls/plates to save eating out every meal. Parking right at your door is great too which had the car undercover and cool.

Centrally located for Pokolbin attractions.

Definitely not 4 star, I’d give it a 3 star at best. Rooms are a motel style set up, furniture outdated and damaged, alarm clock Broken. Booked the Deluxe room, nothing like the pictures, lamps were old and stained, fridge leaking water. No cutlery, no plates, no microwave, just a kettle. Air con in main room only, not in the bedroom. Bathroom was great, nice big spa, no issues here. Bed was nice and soft, very comfortable.

I can’t say enough good things about Harrigan’s Pub in the Hunter Valley — it’s the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience. From the moment we arrived, everything just felt easy and welcoming.

The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and had that cozy-yet-modern feel that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. You can really tell cleanliness is a top priority here.

We also really appreciated the safe and spacious parking — such a simple thing, but it gave us great peace of mind, especially being in a popular tourist spot.

The overall atmosphere? Absolutely beautiful. Whether you’re enjoying a meal at the pub, strolling through the grounds, or just relaxing on your balcony with a glass of local wine, everything feels laid-back and luxurious at the same time. It’s the kind of place where you can fully unwind.

Highly recommend Harrigan’s for a weekend getaway or as your base for exploring the Hunter Valley. We’ll definitely be back!

King Bed was super super comfortable but the single wasn’t of the same standard. Bed linen and towels crisp and white- lovely! The decor is aging and the bathroom, although smelling of bleach was a bit questionable in the shower grout.

Worse hotel ever

Worse experience ever! Their reception is at Mercure which is about 1km away and the address on here is different. It took us 30 minutes to sort out the check in as we first went to the address on hotels.com and were then told to go to another address before a lady mentioned we need to check in at Mercure! If that wasn't enough, the ac didn't work well, it was 38C and the room was very hot. The hotel facility is dirty. We left within a few hours and didn't stay the night.

My stay coincided with a large thunderstorm which caused a few issues (e.g. no tv reception, card payments down). Nothing that the hotel can do about that however the communication was non existent and the attitude of the staff in the restaurant wasn’t great.

Lovely space, spa bath in bathroom was great, outdoor area a bonus, couple of maintenance issues in room, toilet seat closing was deafening. Shower taps don’t turn off properly.

Property nicely maintained. However pool & pool area needs extra TLC. Top row of tiles needs cleaning as depths marker tiles very dirty & hard to read. (Safety issue)

The staff was amazing the customer service was amazing they are all so helpful and nice people, the whole place has it’s character about it, the room we stayed in (604) was uncomfortable to stay in because of the energy from spirts, it doesn’t show threw the day it’s mainly of a night, you hear sudden knocks suddenly things drop and there’s nothing there, I could go on and on but I highly recommend if you love your sleep and you want to enjoy your stay DO NOT stay in room 604!

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff very accomodating, good food we had breakfast in the bistro awesome pancakes my husband had big breakfast. beautiful grounds and scenery. Feel like you’re on holidays, kids had a great time in the pool, there’s a big pool for older kids and smaller pool joined for toddlers. Really nice place for families to stay it’s quiet, beautiful gardens serene setting to relax and just be. Will come back here again! Very close to Hunter Valley gardens we came for the Christmas lights.

Nice stay at the Harrigan's Pub.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was very comfortable. The bed was big and very good. We had a very good view at the back and nice to sit there for a drink.
The furniture could be a bit upgraded but was ok.
Very nice breakfast every morning and one night we had a meal at the pub. And that was quite good although a bit pricey for what it was. We enjoyed our stay very much. Probably come back another time.
