Das Zimmer war klein aber sehr modern. Das Bett bequem, nur die Kissen eine Zumutung :( sie bestanden nur noch aus kleinen Klümpchen.
Das Personal im italienischen Restaurant war super und das Essen sehr lecker. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Der Frühstücksraum war für den Andrang nicht ausgelegt. Man stand überall an und freie Tische gab es kaum. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Essen lecker.

A very nice breakfast buffet. The shower handle is too easily touched and therefore moved while showering, causing you to find yourself in cold or hot water suddenly.
It would be nice of there were some rooms with a double bed (and blankets) instead of just double single beds. I found the blankets a bit small.

We came to Oberhausen for a concert at the Rudolf Weber Arena and this hotel is the perfect location for the arena. All the staff were incredibly friendly and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely be staying here again next year.

We had a lovely stay. Considering the hotel hosted 6 different high school soccer teams, it was still good. For a 4 star tho, the room didn’t have a fridge, coffee machine, or even a water boiler. I’ve stayed in a hotel in a different city but close by that was the same so maybe it’s a regional thing.

Decent hotel but under construction and a bit run down. The elevator takes ages. We picked it for the proximity to Rudolf Weber arena and that was perfect. Lots of shopping at the Westfield and places to eat. Bar service was a bit slow but all staff were extremely friendly. Overall a pleasant stay.

Went with a group of friends for a weekend long event at Turbinenhalle. Perfectly placed for that, the Centro and the bus to the train station. Hotel staff were very friendly and assisted us in English, 24 hour bar at the hotel was of great assistance as well! Room was comfortable with a decent bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was really good. I picked this hotel due to the closeness of the stadium. After our concert it was less than a 5 minute walk. It was clean, the service was good, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast had everything you could ask for. The only downside was that the hotel upped their price for the concert. For a basic hotel I feel like I paid a lot of money. I still think it was worth it because of how close it was.

We arrived at this hotel on July 27, 2018 around 6:60 pm, it was 38 degrees and the hotel does not have air conditioning! As soon as they told us there is no AC we wanted to leave but the front desk associate told us because we have prepaid he won't give us our money back ($816.16 for 2 rooms). Since we were tired and had no choice we took the keys and decided to see our rooms. The first time we went up the keys didn't work, the second time they gave us access to someone else's room and then finally the third time we were able to get into our rooms. The rooms they gave us were not the rooms we booked because they had to close two floors due to the heat! We didn't even spent 5 minutes in the rooms, never even took our luggage up! We knew we couldn't stay there because it felt like a sauna and I was afraid my 5 year old would get sick since she already has a history of respiratory problems. We saw they had a portable air conditioning unit in their front office so I asked Pietrich at the front desk if we could have one and they told us they were out. They didn't even have a fan for us! We decided that we could not stay there so we found another hotel with AC and left. I asked Pietrich to have the manager contact me but to this day she has never return my call or my messages! Now I am working with Expedia to get my refund back, Eric (Expedia Supervisor) he saw there is no warning on the website about the hotel not having ac but can only offer $200 Expedia coupon :(

The hotel was nice. I was there for work at the CentrO mall and the hotel is a 2 min walk to the mall so it was very convenient. I gave a high rating on the service since I don’t speak German and the staff was very helpful and spoke English well so It wasn’t hard to communicate. The breakfast was very good. A little expensive but cnvienent and the staff was really good. I ranked it a little lower on the comfort. The room was a little sterile feeling and the bed was really small and the pillow was really big. I know this sounds crazy, but I’m short and if I had the pillow laying flat on the bed and I had just my head laying on it my feet would be off the end of the bed. So I had to fold the pillow up against the wall but then it was pressing against the rope of my head the whole night. I didn’t get the best sleep while i was there.

I arrived late, coming from the USA. All I wanted was a shower and a bite to eat. Checked in and went to my room, about to jump in the shower when I noticed there were no washcloth. I called downstairs and was told that they don't provide that.So apparently in German Hotels that is not something that is provided, and their Restaurant was closed, so as tired as I was I had to walk across the street to try to find a place to eat. Not very happy with that whole experience.

Overpriced, unsatisfactory service

I paid extra for the convenience of the location of this hotel and all I asked for was a late checkout, which I was told would be no problem. Unfortunately they never set up my late checkout so I had to wait around for three hours for my traveling companions in the hotel lobby because the hotel staff forgot to accommodate me. By the time I tried to confirm what hour I was supposed to check out the next day it was \"too late to manage\" like I hadn't asked them four days prior. I will stay at the NH next year.

There's almost no free wifi. Only 500mb a day or you pay. People at reception rude and unhelful. Told them I've never been there before but they didn't explain to me how eveything works. I may didn't tell them that I am there to go shopping. This might have been the 'problem'... room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Only one chanel in English. Bit sad though. Waa only one night there so don't know how the cleaning fuys are doing their job. However it was very clean and tidy when I arrived.

Comfortable Hotel but not much wifi

The hotel was comfortable and close to the shopping area which has a great food court. The area has a local she'll garage that you can buy snacks and items. My two concerns about coming back would be the lack of free wifi 100MB limit is poor and the signal is poor in rooms. In Europe I would expect better. My other concern was the price of breakfast which is quite high for what you get.

The hotel is conveniently located by the commercial center. The staff is pretty unfriendly regardless if you are a local or a tourist. The rooms are adequate and the breakfast buffet is good. Kind of pricey (14 Euros) if all you eat is a bowl of oat meal and a banana but if you like to eat a lot in the morning, there is a good variety of food: cereals, breads, cold cuts, eggs, etc.

Perfect location with secure parking

We have stayed at the TRYP for the last 3 years and it is in the perfect location for the bars, restaurants and shops (all within 500 metres). There is plenty of secure parking on site with a restaurant and bar as well. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are always clean with comfortable beds.

We will be back again next year.

Pros: The room was standard clean and the location was just 3 minutes walk to CentrO shopping center. Parking was also excellent.

Cons: The hotel staff were unfriendly. The free 50MB WIFI was basically not working and when I complained, they offered me unlimited WIFI for 4.95 euro which I declined, later on I was charged 9.90 euro during my checkout for two nights WIFI which I already declined!! Room amenities was just the basics, no tea/coffee maker, no fridge, no safety box.

Let me first say that the hotel is located across the street from a very big mall and very close to the central area. That is the only positive I found during my stay at Tryp Centro Oberhausen. The rooms are not clean and small. The walls of my room had stains all over them. The carpet wasn't clean and the bathroom needs some work. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant the second night of my stay and the service just wasn't good. When I first walked in there was no one around to seat me. I had to go to the front desk to find out if the restaurant was opening late or something. I ordered the limon linguine pasta that was supposed to come with grillled walleye. I got my food with no walleye. I had to remind the waiter and cook that this item is suppose to be served with grilled walleye. It came as a shock to them. I pointed it out to them on the menu description...absolute SHOCK. Overall, this hotel is in a great location, but needs some serious renovation and service overhaul. When I make a follow-up trip to Oberhausen for business I will definitely not stay at this hotel.

Good hotel for overnight stay to break up journey

Room was in good condition and noise levels from the train line didn't bother at night.
Very close to the Centro shopping centre where we should have went to for dinner instead of the experience we have had at the hotel. There were only a couple of tables occupied when we arrived, 8.30pm. So we thought it would be quick, we were travelling with our 9wk old daughter. It took 40min to get the starter, a Tortilla, after two reminders! After an hour we asked for our main and we were told, because we have not finished the starter, they didn't want to bring the main. I explained that they could have asked us and not assume we were not finished. I wanted to keep some as my Main course was a Salad. After 1hr20min of waiting we asked again for our Main course and left the restaurant soon after when one of the staff started to tidy up and prepare the room for breakfast, which we have to say is pretty expensive but you get a wide variety of food.

We stayed at the hotel to attend a concert. The hotel location is fantastic - just across the road from the venue and also opposite a big shopping complex which has a lot of bars and restaurants that run alongside the canal. It was a very relaxing stay - shopping / drinking / concert. This is a great area of Oberhausen about 10 mins drive from the railway station.

Not ideal for family with young children

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights to visit our family members hoping to get some good service. You had to pay for everything even a cup of tea. No kettle or fridge in our room. We had two infants with us and the room we were given was probably the worst in the hotel. We had to convinced the staff to get hot water for our babies for free, something that is normal in most hotels we have stayed in the UK and abroad. Hotel beddings were not changed, they were literally dumped on the bed for us to get on with it and I had to complain about that, the hotel staff offered to do it which did not allow him to do. although no fault of his. I had enough after the first few hours and almost checked out. I did complain and promised to write a review. I will DEFINITELY not be staying here anymore.

Es waren ca 30-35 Grad an den Tagen dort. Die Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer war defekt und der Raum mehr als aufgehitzt. Wir waren an der Rezeption und haben nach einem Zimmertausch gefragt, aber es wurde abgelehnt da es im ganzen Hotel so aussah. Wir und unser Kleinkind haben kaum in den Schlaf gefunden. Beim Auschecken haben wir nochmal darauf hingewiesen, dass die 2 Nächte und damit der Aufenthalt dadurch wirklich schlimm für uns waren. Die Dame beim Ausschecken meinte, dass das wohl nicht stimmte und der Kollege uns ein anderes Zimmer hätte anbieten können, es waren noch genügend frei. Danke für diese Ehrlichkeit beim Auschecken, aber durch Faulheit und Nichtbemühen kann man einer Familie auch 2 schlimme Urlaubsnächte bereiten

Ich habe aus versehen bei der Buchung das Jahr verwechselt (soll 2025 aber 2026)
da ich ein Zimmer benötigte habe ich es storniert und neu gebucht.
Dann wurde mir mitgeteilt, das für die Buchung 2026 leider 90 % der Buchung begleichen muss.
Das ist mehr als kleinlich, da ich in dem Hotel schon sehr oft genächtigt habe.
So eine Art und Weise passt nicht zu meinem beruflichen Handeln und Denken.
Somit werden wir in unserem Unternehmen zukünftig diese Hotelgruppe meiden bis man mir eine adäquate Lösung anbieten wird.

Hotellet ligger nært Westfield. Romslige, rene rom som er i god stand. Hjelpsomme ansatte.
Dobbeltrom med seng som består av to enkeltsanger som ikke henger sammen, det trekker litt ned.
I tillegg er det litt for varmt når man skal sove, ingen mulighet for å regulere temp annet enn ved å åpne vindu.

Sauberkeit des Zimmers war in Ordnung. Allerdings hatte ich ein 35qm Zimmer (mit 4 Betten) gebucht, das den selben Preis hatte wie ein 20qm Standardzimmer (mit 2 Betten). Entweder hat hotels.com einen Fehler bei der Übermittlung gemacht, oder das Hotel hat mir wissentlich das Standartzimmer gegeben, weil wir zu zweit waren (mit meiner Frau). Jedenfalls hat die halbstündige Diskussion mit der Notbesetzung an der Rezeption (wegen spaeter Stunde) nichts gebracht, weil auf der Buchungsbestaetigung weder Zimmertyp noch Flaeche angegeben war. Wir mussten in einem extrem kleinen Zimmer bleiben, das nicht mal einen Kleiderschrank hatte. Auf mein E-Mail hat sich hotels.com leider auch nicht zurückgemeldet. Überraschend war auch, dass für die hoteleigenen Parkplaetze direkt vor dem Hotel eine Tagesgebühr von 15 € erhoben wurde.

Standardzimmer sind gut ausgestattet, die zusammgestellten Einzelbetten rutschen selbständig auseinander, die Matratzen sind für Seitenschläfer nicht geeignet.
Die Bar bietet eine breite Getränkeauswahl, mit sehr netter Bedienung
Das Frühstück ist fantastisch, eine Riesenauswahl kalter und warmer Speisen, breite Variation von Aufschnitt und Käsesorten, diverse Sorten Brot und Brötchen ... frischer Fleischsalat und Eiersalat, Obst, Joghurts, etc. Alles frisch und immer gut nachbestückt. Wir waren aufgrund kritischer Rezensionen zunächst etwas skeptisch, aber das Frühstück war wirklich perfekt - Dankeschön!!!

Die Zimmer sind klein, sber völlig ausreichend und gemütlich. Und das wichtigste: Zimmer und Badezimmer sind sehr sauber.
Uns gar nur eine saxhe gestört, und zwar, dass es in der Dusche nur eine Brause gibt aber keinen festen Duschkopf.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir haben das Hotel für eine Veranstaltung vor Ort benutzt. Die Lage zum Veranstaltungsort war sehr gut. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und das Zimmer sehr gut.

Ich war wegen einem Konzert in Oberhausen. Das Hotel hatte eine prima Lage zur Location, weil es sehr nah dran war (Turbinenhalle). Vom Hauptbahnhof weg kommt man super einfach mit dem Bus zum Hotel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotelzimmer an sich war sauber, aber es hatte an manchen Stellen schon etwas gelitten. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt war es absolut ausreichend.

Weil ich um 14 uhr angeko men bin, somlte ich 10€ extra bezahlen. Ab 15 uhr ihne Kosten. Sorry, aber das sollte zum Service eines Hotels gehlren, wenn die Zimmer frei sin, dass man hier nicht noch ein Geschäft daraus macht und 10€ extra verlangt. Ich komme jedes Jahr einmal in das Hotel und jedes Jahr werden die Parkgebühren teurer. 10€ ist schon stramm und sollte auch service vom Hotel sein. Und noch nie hatte ich so ein winziges Zimmer. Dafür 220€ für eine Nacht.... Sorry, weitere 20€ für 14Uhr einchecken und Parken =240€, ist voel zu teuer. Schade

Frühstück unfreundliches Personal, die Brötchen waren nicht fertig gebacken.
Bei Nachfrage nach Salz kein Salz vorhanden, musste man sich selber besorgen.

Bei meinem ersten Besuch defintiv eine gute Entscheidung. Das Hotelt liegt gut am CentrO gelegen, sowie an der Arena. Prima also, wenn man dort für Events übernachten möchte. Der zweite geplante Besuch war nicht so toll.
