Good helpful reception, quick check in, I couldn’t get the room heating to work and there is a LED coloured strip light right above double bed, couldn’t find a switch for that to turn off, tried all buttons in the room, at the end it was late at night so fell asleep due to tiredness but i slept well on the comfy double bed.
Nice and clean washroom, much better than Some of the big hotels of Oslo.
Hotel doesn’t allow late checkout, i was told i have to pay 100kr per hour if i want late checkout, it would be nice to accommodate your guests a little bit.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for online price.

Fabulous hotel!

It was a lovely stay, where we stayed in Oslo for around 3 days. The hotel was very nice and very clean.
I would defiantly recommend paying extra for the breakfast because it was amazing value and everything was sooooo tasty!

This place convenient due to the metro was within walking distance apart from that nothing spectacular.
The room did get too hot but there is a tiny thermostat, you just have to find it. Shower was brilliant- boiling hot water. The kitchen area was useable. We brought a saucepan from home and knife. Other than that there was plates, bowls, T-cup, cutlery just for 2 people. The mini fridge unfortunately wasn’t cold enough. We had a patio, the only problem is that people went there to smoke and socialise. The trick is move all the outdoor furniture away from your area so there is little noise and smell.
I was very disappointed that house keeping didnt clean the room well and didn’t give us clean towels. Our toilet was dirty for 3 days - I did mention to reception but they said house keeping is very busy this time of year.

Great area just east of the city centre, with plenty of stuff to see, do, drink and eat. I used to live in the area and know it well, but it’s not where many tourists will hang out. I still prefer this to the actual city centre. Apart from a couple of misses on the cleaning it’s a great place. Well-appointed and modern, easy access to the local tube (all lines) and the 20 bus (mother of all Oslo bus lines). Nice staff and I also had a balcony. Can recommend this place to any visitor.

Pictures show this hotel 2 stars higher. Disclaimer: We stayed the 1st week of August when temps are still mild. That made things rather bad, room was very warm with no AC and we had to resource to opening the window which filtered all the noise from the bus stop street literaritly 20Ft below. To top it off, the room had an annoying roof light that was designed to stay on 24 hrs (per management!!). The kitchen had not a single utensil to cook, despite having a kitchen. Despite the above, the staff was very nice and understanding and did all they could to assist us--within the limitations from the hotel ownership.

The person who checked us in was very nice and welcoming. We didn’t know his name though.

The room was quite small but had everything we needed, and a lot of storage spaces; cupboards, drawers, shelves. Loved that we had balcony, as after we unpacked, we could leave the empty luggage out there.

The room was very clean, I’m a bit of a germaphobe but I felt OK in that room. Wish there was more sockets to use though. We only have TWO in the room, and they were in awkward places.

The kitchenette was a great feature. We saved a bit of money doing some cooking ourselves. Everything worked well except the small fridge which ran rather warm. Luckily it was sub-zero outside so we left our food/drink on the balcony.

All in all, we were very happy with our stay. And will definitely choose this hotel again when we are back in Oslo.

Adequate hotel for our stay. Two metro train stops away from central Oslo. No hair dryer, toiletries and could use an extra pillow. Some drifting cigarette smoke but decent value for the money. Breakfast is an additional charge and expensive, there are several bakery/kiosk options close to the metro. Located near the botanical gardens and Munch museum.

Far from perfect, but good enough

Adequate apartment for 2 adults and a baby (family room). Quiet enough as our room was far away from the lift, although windows certainly didn't have double glazing and we could hear street noise and other people talking out in their balconies. Few problems - there were no pots or pans or cooking utensils, although upon asking they did give us some. The dishwasher literally tipped out of its hole in the kitchen. The door inside the apartment (separating the bedroom from the living/dining room space) couldn't be closed, so quite annoying that we couldn't have the separate space that we had wanted when baby was sleeping.

With all that being said, it was good value booked on Hotels.com and the apartment was adequate for our 4-night stay, plus with it being only a 2-minute walk to Toyen metro station and close to the Coop supermarket, I would recommend this place.

My room was tiny and dark and not well laid out. Bed was crammed against a wall and window. There was scalding hot water in the shower. Cheap furniture and no space to lay anything down. Bed not very comfortable and staff not. Ery friendly. Overall, the place felt cold and soulless. Ok if all you need is a cheap place to sleep.

Unremarkable apartment room with no air con

An unremarkable part of Oslo, Tøyen is a residential district with only very limited facilities, though there are a few bars and restaurants close to the apartments. As to the apartments themselves, they were clean though very dated, and the one I had was unspeakably hot - ok, I know Oslo was experiencing record temperatures in early May, but no air con? Come on... also, the show cubicle was broken so I had to mop water off the floor with towels every time I used the shower... hardly ideal.

Check in was acceptable (very speedy) though the receptionist seemed disinterested in me, aside from offering me a glass of water as it was very warm and I was carrying a number of bags!

The kitchen facilities at the apartment are just a fridge and hob, and some plates and cutlery. You need to ask at reception for knives, saucepans etc. and they provide you with a standard set of things which worked well enough.

Overall, unremarkable and dates in places -

Won’t be coming back to this hotel

The hotel is 20-25 minutes away from Oslo central station and most of the tourists spots. You have to spend $25-30 on a taxi ride from the station to the hotel. The photos the hotel used to advertise are misleading and disappointing, so if I were you spend the extra money for a hotel in the city center. The hotel room card isn’t working all the time. The great thing about the hotel is their restaurant offers some good food.

Very easy to get here from the airport, a straight bus took us within meters of the hotel, we arrived pretty early so were able to leave our luggage and familiarise ourselves with the local area before checking in in the afternoon. When we went back to check in the room keys that were handed to us didnt work, but the lady easily gave us two new ones which worked percectly fine. What we found pretty weird was that there were two doors to the apartment? I assume an extra fire door, which was extremely heavy and an inconvenience. I had paid for a Deluxe room, assuming this would have more space, and utensils but disappointingly not. Small double bed, the bathroom was ridiculously small, and whenever we used the shower the hot water seemed to stop working? Would go from boiling hot to freezing cold within seconds. There was a balcony which is a nice touch. Seeing as there were no windows, we had to open the balcony door a fair bit as it got very hot during the night. -6°C outside, so a small window would have been nice. Only two sets of everything (two plates, cups cutlery etc.) There is an electric oven, but no pots or pans to cook with? But a working microwave with a grill. Very close to central Oslo, everything is within walking distance. We only took the metro one day when we visited Korketrekkeren, for sledging (highly recommend! £15 for a whole days rental; sled and helmet).

Pros; Close to center, safe location.
Cons; No windows, very small.

The hotel was easy to find, very close to the local underground station. The receptionist was friendly and helpful at check in. The room was very clean and spacious with a kitchenette and balcony. Housekeeping came every day to see if we needed the room serviced, they were also very friendly and polite. There’s also square nearby with a supermarket and bars/restaurants. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel let down by staff and facilities.

We checked into the hotel and were provided with a room directly above the smoking area outside the front of the building. The noise from the smokers out the front made it sound like they were having a conversation in our room and consequently we couldn't sleep. We requested a room change because of the noise and was told that a) We're actually fully booked b) Actually if you want to change rooms there will be a cleaning fee c) You might have to pay for an upgrade.

Two hours later and we still couldn't sleep, we went to reception and demanded a room change as the noise level was just ridiculous. The staff did not seem very happy to do this and changed our room begrudgingly and was told \"this type of room is what you paid for\" which is terrible customer service. Overall we were extremely disappointed in the service standards and being put in a terrible room and would never recommend this to anyone.

The worst hotel I ever stayed

When we checked in on 4 September 3017 an Indian staff checking us in was unfriendly and unwelcoming to us it could be because we are Asian. He gave us room no. 2017 the room was full spiderwed we did not noticed it until next day because we were so tired. We made a compliant to the staff they don't do a good job the web's was still there. The room was very hot without AC and the floor was very dirty.
The mattress does not fit properly to the bed.
The location is two to three stops to city centre by metro at Toyen station.

Any pleasurable memories of staying at this accommodation have been destroyed by being charged both by Expedia and the hotel. This is incompetent and unacceptable. I now seem to have to tolerate an extended period in my attempt to get a refund.

Booked this hotel because of its kitchen in the room( confirmation email also shows the picture of the kitchen)but the room we got has NO KITCHEN. Email confirmed doublebed but got a twin room. Plus the room is very hot and made it hard to sleep at night. It is clearly MISLEADING information you have in your website and confirmation email! We complained to the front desk but the lady basically said there is nothing she can do, if I want kitchen I have to book one, and oslo is just hot in July... Well, if I were in her shoe I'd say sorry and offer ice to room, etc. FYI A receptionist should offer help to solve customers' problems, no matter how underrated the hotel is. The location is good since it's next to Botanical Garden and a metro station, and 30 mins walk to the main center area. The room is normal standard, nothing to say about. Because of our incident, I'll suggest paying more to get a better hotel, at least with airconditional.

this hotel is extremely reasonable and accessible to anywhere in Oslo. the manager was adamant in making sure my stay was perfect, even having me approve the room first!
the desk personnel were good at giving directions and very generous each time i asked for ice, which was several times a day.

there is a small grocery store a block away, the COOP. Great value and helpful people.

the Munsch Museum is a block away, though a little disappointing in the display. Scream is in the National Gallery

Paid for a supposed apartment with kitchen area. Got a kettle and nothing else. Thermostat didn't seem to work and room was boiling at night. Didn't matter though as the mattress was rock hard, so not much sleep anyway. Also a double bed with two small single duvets just isn't right. Feeling dissapointed to say the least. Oslo is absolutely amazing though and I'd still recommend visiting!

When we first arrived and checking in, the staff's attitude is very bad, he has a bad manner and he provided us information which is wrong about the attraction - ski museum. He told us the museum is open 24 hours everyday and we spent an hour to get there but it actually closes at 4pm everyday so we couldnt get in and we had to waste another hour traveling

I love the fact that this hotel is a part of the Nordic hotel group they cares for people, children and the environment. It is located around the corner from the Main Street of Tromso Norway and has excellent wifi. Staff are knowledgable with bus timetables to the airport and directions. Very centrally located. The room was the perefct size for one with plenty of space to move around. The heating in the room takes a little while to cool down so if it gets warm, just adjust the temperature on the aircon and wait a few minutes and it will eventually display the new temperature once the room temperature adjusts.

I have stayed in a number of hotels in oslo, and the general standard is very average. When coming here, the room itself was better than expected. It was equipped with everything and had all the extras. Room size was good and was generally comfortable. The only bad point I would say would be the staff needs to be a bit more service friendly and helpful.

You have everything you need for a hotel room plus a tiny kitchen. The location is good for travel,only five minutes walk you can get to subway. The reception is very friendly. Les lits sont doubles, mais avec une séparation au milieu ... et une seule couette ainsi qu’un seul oreiller n’est fourni. Cela n’est pas un « très grand lit double » comme inscrit sur le site.
Le petit déjeuner n’est pas inclu et assez cher (15€) pour un très petit choix ! Il manque des œufs brouillés, du bacon, etc.

Sinon le reste est correct, le restaurant très bon.

Squeaky beds in oddly shaped room

We booked a room for three. It was really inconvenient. One person ended up climbing over a bed and a table to go to her bed. Two of us checked out early. We told The portier that one of us picks up some things before noon. She was asked how she got the key-card and was refused to let to go to the room. I like Tøyen a lot, but will not stay there anymore.

Very rude and hostile security guards, stalking...

The front desk guy was very nice to us. But at night, coming back from dinner, there was a security guard check point with an extremely rude security guard. He harassed us on the way in because we were happy, smiling and laughing. Asking us “what’s so funny” in a mean intimidating way. Later that night he knocked on the door and admitted he was listening to us for 10 mins and told us to be quiet. We weren’t even being loud, We were only talking and played a YouTube video on the computer, not even on the TV. He complained and said to us “this is my hotel, not your hotel. If I come back I will kick you out. . .This made me never want to stay at this place again. Who wants to pay money to be treated like a trespassing criminal. This place is not worth the discount. I will never go to this place again because of this security situation. The security is terrible...

Bra service!!

Meget god service og hyggelige ansatte,
Små rom, med bitteliten kjøkkenkrok. Støv og møkk i hjørner (bak de tunge gardinene) masse svart trafikkstøv rundt vinduer og på overflater man sjeldent bruker,tyder på sjelden rengjøring av annet enn det \"daglige\".
Ellers fornøyd med oppholdet for den prisen!

Synes dette er forferdelig , ble kastet ut fordi brannalarmen gikk fordi jeg dusjet med varmt Vann (damp ) . Bel beskyldt for å røyke å lastet ut midt på natta .

Jeg vil ha et gavekort fra dere der jeg kan bestille en overnatting en annen plass .

Ellers havner det til forbrukerombudet .
